Yeah, and I went to see it today. It was EPIC. EPIC, I says. I won't spoil things here, so just trust me when I say it is amazing.

And heart-wrenching, in some parts. Is it weird for me to say that I actually develop an emotional connection to the fictional characters? I just love the Na'vi. I think I have a new favorite alien race

I just don't understand how people can think in some ways. I especially can't understand why they do and say those things in the name of religion. I'm a atheist, but I've learned so much about other religions from my own experiences and what I've researched, I can see when things are really just total BS.

You may be wondering what my real point is here, if you are even reading or caring at all. Well, at the moment I'm addressing my thoughts on issues such as gay rights, seeing as I've been reading up on some polls and their subsequent comments about the topic. I don't understand how people can take on a "i'm better than you because I believe in god" or a "that's bad cuz god said so" standpoint. Like it's okay to hate people, as long as you can justify it with "god's will".

It's not hard to tell why I don't like dealing with people all that much. Other than you guys on here, cuz you're awesome.

I also went out to dinner last night with and it was awesome

I also got a brand new guitar, which is AMAZING. It's shiny, black, and is a thousand times more powerful than both my other guitars combined. I loves it ^w^

In other, art and story-related news, Shattered Reality is coming along at a steady pace, once again. Which is a relief, cuz I hate having writer's block. But naturally, with the disappearance of one, the other comes up. I can't draw to save my life T_T which sucks even more than usual since I'm doing some concept art for a friend who's working on a videogame.

Speaking of which, Mara and Dax may be added to the character collection for that but obviously with altered background stories and Dax will now be a big fluffy black dog. With a mechanical leg XD

So that's my life in a nutshell right now. I'm happy, despite the ungodly weather here. Friggin Oregon can't make up its mind. "I'll pour down rain like crazy for five minutes then get really sunny all of a sudden!" "I'll be really nice and mild one day and freezing cold the next!" AAARGGH. I don't handle temperature well, so being perpetually cold is a discomfort I'm getting used to.

Only bad thing about today was that my dad had to give my cat Shakespeare a bath, which really wasn't too horrible, since he didn't really struggle, but then we discovered that what we thought was a mat of fur on his neck was actually where an abscess had burst, sticking the fur together. We cleaned it out and made sure he was all taken care of, then he went about his normal routine. He's fine now, but we're keeping an eye on the wound to make sure it doesn't get infected anymore.

I just got back from walking around with my sister and her friend, escorting them through the neighborhood and then, once we got home, taking my own share from my sister's stash. I only took a relatively small portion XD

None of my friends were able to come over though At least is coming after he gets off work at 9.....I still don't wanna wait that long tho

I just woke up from another nightmare that left me shivering, crying, and hating my brain. Not only do I not really regain any energy when I have nightmares (which then leaves me to wake up almost more tired than I was when I fell asleep), the bad ones, like the one I just had, tend to trigger another problem which then leaves me really hating myself.

I don't normally like to bitch and moan about my issues, but I need something to distract me, so I'm just gonna play the Sims 2 for a couple hours before I have to get ready for school.....

On the bright side, I did get a new xbox (that works!) and my sister got a wii on my birthday....

I understand that there are people who have died from it, but you can die from the normal flu as well, and those people were in Mexico, where many of them probably couldn't get to a hospital. The baby that died here in the US? It was brought into Texas from Mexico.

I'm not trying to say that it's no big deal cuz only Mexicans have died (I'm half Mexican, so that would be a bitchy thing to do), I'm just saying, calm down, people. I hate being depressed. I really do. But for some reason, I get this way on a fairly regular basis. Maybe it's a self-esteem-related thing....

I am pretty much self-loathing right now. But I'm not the kind of person who gets all dramatic and posts things like "OMG MY LIFE SUX I'M GONNA GO KILL MYSELF"

no. I don't wanna kill myself, or hurt myself in any way. So, in case this did happen to concern any of you, no worries. I'll get over it. It's just hard cuz my spring break so far has kinda sucked.

Oh well. I did get Johnny the Homicidal Maniac the other day. Quite fun to read.
I'm also trying to get some art done, but I'm also suffering from an art block. Cheers. *headdesk*

The other reason being that I am back in school and the weather is somewhat better, allowing me to be with my friends and not have rain constantly pouring down on my head. But then again, it's Oregon, so I can't really be too picky about that.

AWWWWW YEAHHHHHHHH I watched Watchmen last night and I LOVED it. Repeat, I LOVED it.

I have the comic, which I've read a couple times, and the movie was astoundingly accurate with the story. More so than any other comic-based movie I've ever seen, and the few changes they did make were very minor and still fit perfectly. Some scenes could easily have been taken straight from the comic pages, since the actors fit the look of the characters they played almost spot-on.

It was fantastic. A bit graphic with both violence and sex scenes, but whatever. Those were all part of the story as well XD

And Rorschach is epic win. EPIC WIN. I'll have to start doing some Watchmen fan art.

My OC's Cassi and Drake look very similar to someone else's (i forgot their name) OC's. And hers have been around longer. And Mara and Rok's story is pretty similar to another fanfic I read.

It may have just been for that one picture I saw, but the resemblance is pretty uncanny. So I guess I just want to point out that I AM NOT A CHARACTER THIEF. All my characters and their stories are mine. If I could, I would change them, but I'm too attached to do that. Just clearing it up, in case anyone gets the wrong idea.

It was during this year that I started getting to know , even though we'd met all the way at the first day of my freshman year of school. And it was in march that we started going out, which has been awesome all in itself. over 9 months now

It was also the year I started to finally come out of my shell (his fault lol) and start to deal with the issues I had in the past. I allowed myself to start trusting people again, and my friendships have gotten stronger, and I've been able to have an easier time making new ones.

In relation to my art, I've let my style expand and have started trying new things. I'm always changing it, but this year was especially important to me. I've got some friends on here whose work i really admire and who were some of the first people to actually notice my work, and I'm happy to consider them my friends.

All in all, if 2009 is gonna be better than 2008, i can't wait to see how it goes ^^ All you peeps ROCK MY EFFIN' SOCKS XD

First off, i wanna say that it is the best freakin zombie game I've heard of, and certainly the best I've ever played.

But the thing is....I'm paranoid now. Every time I hear something scrape the window or hear someone make a noise that sounds a little weird, I find myself spinning around wildly, babbling nonsensically.

I expected the game to make my nightmares worse, but oddly enough, it didn't, despite the fact that my heart starts pounding whenever I play, especially whenever I'm looking for a Witch....*shudders*

Oh well. I freakin LOVE that game now. And now that i'm borrowing it, I can terrify myself to no end WHOOHOO!!!

and came over and we ran around after my stoopid dad, who was being a (rather convincing) zombie. God it was awesome.
