Sad? Perhaps, but for me... it's the truth. The only person I've ever considered to be a hero passed away on June 22nd, and I don't know of anyone that can even begin to fill his shoes. But I know one thing, he sure wouldn't want anyone grieving over him. I know I'm not. Miss him, his wisdom, and his humor, absolutely, but grieve and mourn, hell no. Were he still alive, he'd rip you a new asshole for it.

And that's what made George Carlin one of the all time best human beings to have ever lived. He didn't care who you were, what you believed, where you were from, what color you were. If he didn't like someone or something, he would not only tear it, or you apart, but make you feel stupid and laugh at yourself at the same time.

Abortion, religion, censorship, children, feminists, conservatives, life and death... you name it, whatever topic it was, he'd not only attack it, but he'd obliterate it, then smirk and smugly walk off and nail some other topic people are too fuckin afraid of to talk, or even think about.

The first time I saw him on TV... yes, HBO, he was joking about farts. No one did better fart jokes than him. I was young, and I laughed till it hurt. I was a Carlin fan from that point on. I even got to see him perform at one of the casino's here a while back. He was amazing. And now, there is no one. No one even close. Whoopi Goldburg, maybe Robin Williams, but no one will ever be able to do what Carlin did.

So, with his passing, I thought I'd do a new journal, if anything to post (in my opinion) some of his finest performances. I compiled my own top 10 list of his works. They are in no particular order. Enjoy.

Well, yeah I suck at keeping up journals... sue me. But I have the time now, haven't been able to sleep much today for some reason so I'm doing a new journal.

Since October, I've had something in mind, and have been paying close attention to a few things and have this week decided to start a new community/group/chatroom on dA. I've not seen it done before, and I think it's something that could get pretty big. Since more than half the population believes in them, and since I've had my own experiences, and with the recent success of the SciFi program Ghost Hunters, I've gotten together with some people and we've set up a new group called *DAParanormalSociety with its chatroom #DAParanormal.

I know, I know... I've made it no secret I'm an Atheist, but I can't deny and ignore what I have physically seen. Just because one is a non-believer in god(s), heaven, the devil and hell, doesn't mean you can't accept the fact there are spirits. The way I see it, the world we know and live in is just one of many plains of existence. And sometimes those that have died don't leave this world.

Now, what makes me believe, what is it that I've seen...

Well, it all started when I was 9. I had no clue, idea, or any interest in the supernatural back then. In fact when this happened, it was Christmas Eve/morning and the only thing on my mind was getting at the presents. Typical of any 9 year old kid. So much so that I got practically no sleep that night and it's when I learned the chymes a grandfather clock makes.

My family was at our grandma's house, and when we went to bed that night, I was on the couch in the living room, my brother was on the love seat sleeping, and later that night my uncle came in and crashed on the recliner. Granny was in her room, an aunt was in another room and my parents in the last bedroom.

Anyway, like I said, I couldn't sleep, maybe dozed off for a few minutes here and there, but for the most part, I was awake. As the night slowly started to give way to day, I could just start making shapes out in that dark living room as the first beams of sunlight began to rise. I was able to make out the Xmas tree, my brother, uncle, furniture... gifts from "Santa" that weren't there before. So my excitement started to build and I for sure wasn't getting back to sleep.

As I looked around, I also saw something that didn't belong. I raised my head off the pillow and slowly looked around the gifts piled on the coffee table in front of the couch and on the opposite side of the table stood a figure. As I looked more details came out and the very first thing was its color. It was solid white. Hair, skin, clothing, everything white. The figure was short, and female, like a 4 or 5 year old girl. I could see her head moving which also made her hair move. She was looking at my brother and uncle yet didn't see me looking at her. At this time in our lives, my brother and I were the only kids on this side of the family and were the only two kids in the house. So whoever she was, she didn't belong there.

That's when she turned her head and looked straight at me. We made eye contact and I damn near lost it. But what I did was bury my face in my pillow and never looked up again. But it didn't stop there. I HEARD this ... thing ... hurry over to me. I heard her footsteps, heard her white nightgown looking thing shuffle as she moved and I could FEEL her standing right beside me, staring as I had my face in the pillow.

The next thing I know, mom was waking me up to open gifts and I kept that to myself, although later Christmas day I did tell my uncle about it and he said it could have been grandpa who died earlier that year. I said no, it was a little girl and he said well spirits can take on any form they want. I've never heard that since, so I don't know if thats the case or not. However, one thing I do know, it was no dream I had.

I only recall dreams for the first hour or two after I wake up, then its like they never happened for me. But this... I remember every single detail about an event that happened all those years ago. Back then, I didn't really understand it and I put it aside and never really thought about it again till 3 or 4 years later when we started experiencing things in our own house. Yes I know I don't update my journal that often, I just seem to always be busy with other things. But I do have something I need to get off my chest now.

Tonight at work we had the radio on and the DJs starting talking about things they have issues with. What they were on about tonight was the school system in Washington state. Now first off, I'm in Missouri so what the hell do I care about Washington state? Quite frankly, not much. It's about 2000 or so miles away, but the DJs used to be here in town, then were transfered out west. Fortunately for us, they had it arranged for their show to be broadcast not only in the Seattle area, but also here in the Kansas City area too. They are some of the best DJs I've ever heard. Now, if what I'm about to explain actually happens, what starts in Washington, could spread to the rest of the country. That's why I care what happens out in Washington.

ANYWAY, what the hell am I talking about? Get this, they are wanting to adopt new rules that will lead to a ban on ... are you ready for this? A ban on booing at school sporting events. Let me repeat...

A GODDAMN FUCKING BAN ON BOOING!

The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (they basically organize and run all school sporting activities in Washington) feels the booing that coaches and referees get is the reason for a decline in their employees and are blaming it on, as Mike Colbrese, executive director of the WIAA says, "The organized effort to try to intimidate or try to make fun of someone that becomes personal in nature that can escalate then into other concerns that we might have." He also says that they are having trouble hiring coaches and refs because of the "abuse" they receive by the booing.

Sooo... the opposing team out plays the home team, or a Ref makes a bad call and the audience is supposed too ... do what? Sit there quietly and be happy about it?

Excuse me while I go LAUGH MY ASS OFF at these pussies. Do you honestly think this group is going to be able to control the emotions of an entire audience at a high school football game? What the fucking hell are they going to do? Stop the game? Call it off? Yeah that'll go over well. They are worried about loosing Coaches and shit, what the fuck are they going to do when they loose public interest in these sporting events because the crowds can't express themselves? I mean come on, COMMON SENSE people, don't let common sense continue to die like it has been for years now!

Well, it has happened... after 12 years, the people of the United States FINALLY got their heads out of their asses and sent a message... especially to Bush. We don't like him or his methods. Guess it took an extra two years past his own re-election for enough dumbasses in this country to realize what half of us, as well as the rest of the world, already knew, that the republicans have been there FAR too long, and have become FAR too arrogant, cocky and CORRUPT. Not that the Democrats are innocent of corruption either, but at least we now have some newer and fresher blood controlling the House and Senate that oppose the methods Bush has trashed the US with.

How could this get better? Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld (the master mind of the war on terror and Iraq) has "resigned"... yeah, and Bush said he just wanted a change after seeing his Republican monopoly on our government evaporate away from him. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Rummy and Bush saw that people here were pissed, changed everything out from under them and Bush canned his ass. But to keep things "civil" Bush said that Rummy decided to "resign" ... BULLSHIT!

Anyway, I know a lot of you don't give a shit about stuff like this, but after the reign of terror Bush and his crony's had, seeing it fall just makes me all happy inside

Considering the state of world affairs, namely this idiotic war on terrorism, it shows that at least one person with a voice of respectable intelligence, common sense, logic, and reason, can get on world wide TV AND the internet to speak out. Now that you are back...

I SHOULD have done this in my previous journal, but, I'm an asshole (and she would happily call me that too) and never thought about. I suck, what can I say. BUT, thanks to =onefourth I am still able to be on dA regularly. My old, and I do mean OLD, computer was failing and I couldn't run more than one program at a time without severe lag and freeze ups. Not to mention it would usually freeze during a boot up or a restart. So all that, and various other things, the comp was pretty much a waste of space and wasn't going to last. And as things were (and still are), if it died, due to my severe lack of money, getting a new comp was not an option, which means no more dA, art, music, and all the other computer related things I do.

Well, as it turned out, Andy was looking to get a new laptop and would no longer need her tower. So she did something most people would never consider... she let me have it. She shipped it from her home in Texas to me here in Missouri. Yes, I still need to pay her back for the shipping fee, but that's all she asked for. She even included a couple books and a Rob Zombie t-shirt she got at a concert.

To make a long story short, Andy saved my ass. So please, everyone, if you didn't do it before, go check out =onefourth's page.

I know there are some people out there who may not like her, but it's their loss. She really is a great, and VERY generous person. If it wasn't for her, I probably wouldn't be here now.

UPDATE:
I should have done this sooner, but it just didn't get done. ANYWAY, if you've read the journal entry below, then you know I've been keeping an eye on what Pretzel Boy Bush is up to. Here's an update, it was announced recently that Bush had approved the NSA to spy on American citizens by way of tapping into telephone and cell phone conversations. They justify this bullshit saying its another means to fight terrorism. Should they hear words they associate with terrorism (like "bomb" for example), they are put on alert and you are then watched. Of course who's to say they will stop with that. Maybe if you say something associated with drugs, abortion, violence in general, you too could be watched. Where does it end? If you find this hard to believe, all it takes is a simple web search to find. So, all you fucking brainwashed Bushies out there who voted for that son of a bitch, I hope you're happy. You helped throw one more piece of our privacy and freedom out the window. You should be SO proud.

While I was at work, that song by the Police came to mind. Not because I like it, but for another reason. I got to thinking about something that I watched on one of the HBO channels. It was Whoopi Goldberg doing a new stand up concert (Whoopi: Back To Broadway) very much like what George Carlin does. Of course she does her own thing, and is extremely good at it. In fact, and I hate to say it, but I feel she did a better job than Carlin did with his latest HBO special. Anyway, I didn't get to see it from the start, I came upon it while channel surfing. But what she was talking about is something that I've made no secret that I have been voicing my opinion about for quite awhile.

Basically the topic she was on, was the state our country (the US) is in right now. Her focus of the topic was homosexuals. She basically said they are the modern day black people. They are hated, discriminated, shunned, beaten and sometimes even murdered, just for being what they are, which is exactly what happened to the blacks up through the 1950s. It blew her mind that in the richest, most powerful, and supposedly the most free country in the world, shit like this is happening.

Granted homosexuals have never been the most popular groups out there, but it seems that over the past five years or so, they have become one of the, if not the most hated group of people in this country. Why in a country full of people who claim to be Christians with good morals is this happening? She said she was told by someone that the Bible states man shall not sleep with man. So that makes it as sin, which I guess is punishable by death. But in the same chapter, Leviticus, it also states any child who lies or swears to their parents shall be put to death, and any man that touches the bed of a woman while on her period will be put to death. So why are those two ignored today yet homosexuals not?

People fear it will ruin the sanctity of marriage. PLEASE! If marriage was so sacred, there wouldn't be such a high divorce rate. OK, not as pissed as I was in the last Journal I posted. Gas has droppped nearly a buck in the past few weeks, so that's nice. Still too high in my humble opinion, but nothing I can do about it.

But I'm better now. I still have an annoying lingering cough, and some minor congestion, but nothing I can't live with it.

I can't take it anymore, I have to voice my opinion about this. I'm just getting too pissed off...

I know there are countires in the world who have it much worse than we do here in the US, but now this complete and total bullshit is affecting my life, and pretty much everyone I know as well. I'm by no means rich, hell, most of the time I'm barely scraping by. And at the moment, I don't see that ending anytime soon.

What I'm talking about is affecting everything we do here in the US. It's causing the prices of everything to climb and simple things like, ordering a fucking pizza and having it delivered is becoming too expensive. Going to the gorcery store to even get the basics is frustraiting, fuck, even going to work!

What the hell am I talking about? If you haven't already figured it out, I'll tell you...

RISING GAS PRICES!

Tonight, it went up to 2.65, which is after it went up to 2.55 two nights ago, and 2.45 three nights before that. The news "claims" that the price of oil is going down, yet we are get gatting slammed in the wallet. And I can't find anything on the net that anyone is even attempting to do about it.

It goes beyond anger to know it costs more to simply drive to the nearest store than it does to buy milk, bread and eggs you are there to get. It's pissing me off that I can't simply go out and enjoy a drive in my car, or go see a movie, or fuck, even not haveing to worry about getting bills paid for!

These fucking oil companies are going to price themselves out of the market and only the rich are going to be able to afford to drive. And where's the goddamn government? Can't they step in and do something? Oh wait, they're all rich fucks who don't have to worry about it like the rest of this goddamn country does.

New broadcasts are telling everyone how to save money at the pump, or saying to get more fuel efficient vehicles... BULLSHIT! It's my fucking money, and I should be able to drive whatever the hell I want and not be forced into something I'm not going to be happy with. Besides, I just got my car in April, I can't afford to get a more fuel effecient one for fucks sake!

If anyone who reads this by some slim chance works for the oil companies, or the government, I have one thing to say to your arrogant, selfish, greedy, powerhungry asses...

Hmm, well I got the pics I took using that digital camera put on a disc, and out of all of them, only a small handful turned out any good, while an even smaller amount turned out good enough to post to dA.

SO, I'll have to do some more work on that. Most of the pics I took of my fish came out blurred, so I need a faster shutter speed since they don't stay still I did get a few that came out OK, but eh. I seem to have better luck with my 35mm camera and just scanning the pics.

I had a loss in my life. My beloved 1992 Oldmobile Cultass Supreme SL sport coupe *sigh* (which I purchased Halloween of '98) is no longer with me. My Demonmobile spun a bearing in it's second engine, so I decided to put the money towards something newer.

So this past Thursday I traded it in on my new love ... a 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. It came from a non-smoking couple in a quiet farming community, so it looks and runs like it just rolled off the showroom floor. It's silver with black interior ... perfect for me! woohoo!

I'm going to take pics of it to post to dA, but it's been rainy here in K.C. Mo, so going out to take pictures is a big no. Speaking of pics, I've been busy getting the hang of a digital camera, and I'm going to get some of these early shots posted soon. Taking pictures of my fish is not going as planned. The damned things dont stay put! Which I knew was going to happen .. but still!

Lastly, the new remake of Amityville Horror comes out this weekend and I will go see it. I'm a huge fan of the original, so I'm going to reserve my judgement till after I see it. But the one thing that makes me happy, it's rated R. FINALLY a new horror flick with an R rating! Just think how much better AVP, Boogeyman, and all these others could have been were they not limited to PG13...

Well, I finally got access to a digital camera, now I need to make the time to get some pics taken. I just need to pry my ass off the damn computer long enough to do it.

I did get a series of shots posted that I took when I was on vacation out in Vegas. The pics are but a few of the highlights along the way to Area 51.

OK, so now I'm a dA subscriber, and I'm finding that I really like it. Lotsa nifty, new features to use. Anyway, hopefully in the next week or so I'm going to get some new stuff posted when I gain access to a digital camera.

Some of the subject matter I want to include are pics of my fish, which is going to be chore since the two I really want to get photos of are two different species of catfish that only come out when its feeding time at night. And then they like to flee for cover when they catch movement outside the tank. So yeah, that'll be a fuckin' joy to do.

I figure I may as well get a pic or two of me also, and I HATE having my picture taken. And no, there will be no nudy pics either.

There will also be something for those who appreciate dark, Gothic, creepy shit. Who knows what I'll come up with, over the past year, I've wanted to try my hand at photography, but haven't had a digital camera.

The stories are actually part of the Gothic Furries RP I'm involved with, but they were also done in a way that they are stand alone stories too.

I was pretty good in my English classes, and as a fan of horror movies, particularly ones involving werewolves and vampires, when I started RPing, it was obvious what I wanted to RP as. So I created Vincent, a werewolf who was infected with vampirism. I call such a creature a "Vampyrwolf" (hence my DA ID), which where my website link will take you, to a bio page for Vincent.

I joined the RP almost two years ago, and in that time I've developed quite a few more characters. But Vin remains my lead guy. Ironically, he is not part of either of my two short stories. Perhaps someday he'll be featured in one ... time will tell.
