There were three conventions for me this summer. They all happen to be back to back so it was a pretty crazy month.

First was Anime Revolution. It was a ton of fun! AR really impressed me with it being a first year convention. It was very well run and the staff were incredible! They were so helpful and extremely accommodating. There was a slight hiccup when AR lost the second panel room last minute, but they knew that was an issue and apologized for it. I'm really looking forward to next year and I can't wait to see what AR brings!

Thursday was an interesting start to the con. We dressed in Marauders cosplays and goofed around after seeing how long the pre-reg line was. After filming a bit and taking photos, we decided to wait in line to get our badges. 6 hours later, we got them OTL We were all really glad we did photos beforehand. So :devtwinfools: and I arrived in Seattle in the afternoon and went to the hotel to check-in. We had one heck of a time, but once everything was sorted out, we dropped off our bags and went to pick up our good friends, :devHezaV: and :devcaineyamiyasha:, from the train station. With all four of us finally there, we got ready for the convention.
Twin and I wore Peeta and Katniss (movie arena versions) and trolled around in those for awhile. We met up with :devGeeky-Spirit: and got some night shots in our Hunger Games cosplays.
After that, we went for a swim in the very crowded pool and called it a night.

This is the first year this convention is being held so I'm pretty excited to go and see what it will be like. I'm really not sure what I'll be wearing. I didn't have time to finish the new costume I wanted to wear due to my crazy work schedule this past week and a bit.

I have very good news. The vet did the last test on Monday and it came back with very positive results! Callisto will make a full recovery :dance: She is already back to her usual, bouncy self. Once she finishes all of her medication, she'll be much happier lol. My hand is covered in Callisto scratches from having to force her to take her meds.

As for myself, I'm slowly (and painfully) learning what I can and cannot eat. But there are a few herbal remedies that people have suggested so I'm going to try that and see if it helps.

This was definitely my most unorganized convention to date. Because I had my family vacation right after Sakura Con, there really wasn't any time to organize myself for Fanime. Well, Sakura Con is over *sad day*! It was so nice seeing so many awesome people-- old friends and new. I have mixed feelings about the con itself, but the people I got to hang-out with made things fun. There were so many people there this year! Places felt really congested and it was really difficult getting around at times. Sakura Con has really grown since I first started going.

In all honesty, Sakura Con has already had a rough start. I was hoping to have all my new costumes done, but with work, classes and moving there was just no time. What to say? I'm really excited for the convention, but so much happened in the past 3 weeks that I am just literally ready to collapse.  Some of my family came to visit this weekend, which was really nice. I hadn't seen some of them for years.  My little cousins are all grown up! I couldn't believe it!

Just a quick update before I head off to Fanime in an hour or so. Things were pretty crazy this time around. Probably the worst con stretch I've had in a looong time, which is weird because I started a month and a bit in advance. I had some pretty complicated costumes to make this time around with lots of little bits. Then I also had two extra costumes set at my feet a few weeks before the convention. So that was my five costumes + 2 and only 3 weeks to sew. Never again.

There isn't much else to really talk about. I mean, it's the same for most people: getting ready for Christmas/the holidays. I love Christmas, but I hate the weeks leading up to it. The world seems to think that it is about to end or something -.-

EMS shipping takes 4 days TOPS. The Con was interesting... definitely different from the first year. While it was still lots of fun, there was just a different atmosphere to it (or, at least, there was to me)

Lots of hotel drama. There was a bride and groom that freaked out over the convention, which lead to police involvement. There was also a ton of people that were staying at the hotel for a funeral so I'm sure a bunch of costumed people wasn't quite what they were hoping for while they mourned. Also, Disney on Ice cast was staying there that weekend. It was great to see the Belle and Beast living it up at the con. Getting pics and such. So no features this week ^^; I've been crazy busy with work and last minute things before Aki Con. I shouldn't even be writing this XD I should be sleeping :D

Friday is my Tsubasa day! I'll be debuting my Sakura cosplay ^_^ It isn't her usual outfit, though. It is a jumpsuit that matches Fai and Kurogane's from the manga so it's sort of original... based off of an official costume for other characters.

Saturday is Naruto day! Look for me and my Team 7 if you're gonna be there! :D Later that night, I'll be doing "evening wear" and in ]]>
