Last week I felt rotten, sick, just had no desire to sit upright and totally unable to concentrate.. and this week I am much improved, but my Sister-in-law, and best friend from high school died Tuesday. She had had her first baby not even two weeks before, she was my age, 31. I and my husband have been with her parents since then, and today is the funeral.

I am hoping that after today I can start being productive again, but it might not be until monday. I am sorry for those waiting on me, I havent run off or anything though. Ill be back to work soon.


....Or not.. My computer died this morning.. or is int he process of it.. it keeps rebooting itself. Ive got hubby's computer (my old one) and if I need to i can use it and my external, but some of my most recent stuff is not on it, and Ill need to redownload all the programs again and updates.

I know ive gotten lots of faves and watches and comments and Im not responding as quickly or often as I would like to, you arent forgotten though and you are very much appreciated, thank you!

Sorry for not being quick to respond or anytihng, Im still minus my main computer. I havent been around so much but should be more after thanksgiving and black friday duties are complete. Ive temporarily kidnapped the hubby's computer and am now functioning off my external until I can scrape together the pennies to buy a new motherboard apparently

Recently, the lovely has brought it to our attention that some stolen works from some of the artists of DA were found on Photobucket. She's awesome! So I go to look to find which of my friend's atuff was stolen this time, and to my shock, among these others I find my own..so I go looking for more.. I search my name! Most of these seems to have the same names as given by the Original Artists.

Im shocked I actually find others, and I search them as well, I will link these here for others to see if they may have they'e own.. because DA seems to be the source for these things.

But thats not all! While searching for these I ifnd another of mine with a different name.. one I had never named the character, and so shouldnt have had a character name.. and it says its by another person! So Figuring these mostly originate from da, I come here to search this claimant, and find not only my artwork, but a number of things that I recognize from other familiar artists.

So take a look, please, and see if you recognize anything else, and let the true artists know, and those being fooled by this person that theyre being given custom work that it is false.

Ive been able to get most of thhe things I wanted to do, done, while I was here, but not quite all, and thats ok. The week Im scheduled to go home my hubby wont even be there, as he will need to be in the next town over for a local festival and will actually be camping out there, for work. My brother's wife will be having her baby the 25th of July, which means Id miss it. It would be at least a year or maybe more until I was able to see my neice with my own eyes.. so.. we've extended our vacation.

This is good news for me, because I get more vacation, my kids get more time here, which despite occasional fits of boredom they really do enjoy it here with family, and I will get to see my new and only neice while shes still in diapers. However its bad news as well, because it will mean that Ill be unable to start the work I had promised to start at the end of July, it will have to wait another two weeks, and for that, and those of you waiting on me to get your artwork finished, I am very, very sorry. It is very upsetting to me that I cant work on these here and that people have had to wait so long, even given notice that there would be a significant delay. I prefer to get things done in a timely manner and this delay is anything but.

Yep, just one more week to get your exchange pieces done for the tac SPECIAL EDITION art exchange! I am so excited to see what everyone has done, I cant wait!!

I get to go home!

This summer, starting around the first week of June, I will be going back to Phoenix for approximately 6 weeks. What this means for you people is that if you have, or want to, or will be hiring me for comissions, if you have not gotten your artwork by that time, then you will have to wait until I am back home. I am sorry, there is just no way my mother's little, ancient, computer can run the software I need it to in order to put out quality work.

So any comissions I have currently I hope to have done in time, and should, but any I am hired to do after that will depend on the time remaining before I leave, and/or the time it takes to complete those pieces.

I will still gladly accept comissions, just please understand that it may not be completed right away.


For those of you who wish to comission a signature sooner, there are some other fantastic 3d artists and good friends of mine who may be interested in taking on your ideas.
I lubs her, shes very talented and teriffic at what she does, definately an inspiration to me and one of my favorite artists!

But, day went pretty well. Hubby got babysitters for th ekids and he took me to the nicest steak house within fifty miles of here, and at dessert ( where they brought me the most delicious homemade raspberry icecream ever, with a sparkler stuck into it) The table next to us started singing happy birthday to me.. all 15 of them.. how embarrasing! haha.

Then came home and watched The Dark Knight, had some drinks and relaxed.. so nice!

Im just really tired and procrastinating like I do.. I between .. or rather, In the middle of a number of sigs and tired after a long day, just thought Id post.

I am still happily, accepting comissions, though you can expect a few weeks wait, as usual, just because there are others waiting for theirs to be completed. If you do want one and are just waiting for me to be less busy, I dont reccomend it hehe, Its been about the same consistantly for the last few months.

So my hubby's store wasnt doing so well, it wsa paying the bills but just barely with enough moneys to buy groceries afterward ( if that) so he decided to move up on the highway. So today, and tomorrow has and will be spent moving his stuff from the warehouse he buys his merchandise from, and his old store, lots of work! He hopes to have his grand re-opening on Wednesday. I didnt get any progress done on sigs today due to it, and prolly wont tomorrow either

My brother is coming out from Phoenix this week as well, he heads out tomorrow, which I think means he will be here late wed or early thurs. I am gonna force him to help me out with a website.. he works for GoDaddy and has tried explaining it to me and I just dont comprehend.. I dont do written instruction well, Im more the try and fail, repeatedly, til I get it right type of person. ><

Oh, my dog thinks hes a cat and likes to jump up on the table and windowsils and desk.. quite a feat for a mini daschund..

Yesterday was my ten year wedding anniversary.. which I spent coming down with a head cold.. my nose is stuffy and runny and my head hurts.. which, I tell you, sucks on your anniversary.. I feel kinda guilty about it too cause I wasnt much fun yesterday We did go to a movie though, Pinapple Express, which I reccomend as a red box rental and only if nothing better is out. hehe

My sister in law is in town this week, my brother is visiting and staying with us next week, so If im not commenting right away or often I apologize, Im proly just sneaking on when I get a moment and not posting much.

News?
A possibly really awesome thing has happened this week.. maybe.

My hubby had purchased the remains of a rummage sale held by a nearby town's Theater. The theater is over 150 years old, and some of the junk they had been colecting is pretty darn old. Well he had me go over there and pack up the junk he had bought, and among those items were some old paintings and prints.. and some new. Most didnt look like anything special.. but of them all two I picked out to look up, cause they seemed interesting.

Well, one of the two appears to be a watercolor signed by an artist by the name of PJ Redoute

I look him up to find that this guy was hired by Napoleon's wife to paint her pictures of flowers.. and hes like the best ever botanical artist.. I sent a description to an admin of a website that specializes in his work, and they gave me links to some art appraisers.. telling me that it might be an original.. so now waiting to hear what they have to say.. very cool right?!

Stolen Art
I know everyone gripes about it, and even I get tired of hearing about it once in a while.. and while as far as I know my work has never been stolen, some of my friends' have, and it offends me and upsets me on their behalf. We who do art put alot of love and effort and hours and frustration into or work, and to see someone come, butcher it then call it their own is extremely hurtful and frustrating. If you didnt do the art yourself, but love it and want to use it, then ask! If the answers no then please respect it, there are other alternatives.

Many artists will take on comissions if their time allows.. a custom piece of art is always better than something stolen and designed for someone else.. not only is it legal, but its made specifically for you! If you want to work with art thats premade, then try looking for stock art.. there are mny many amazing stock artists who put their images out there for you to work with and encourage it.. so why not?

If you like my art, just ask me, Most of my work is comissions so Icannot permit it to be used.. but I am always willing to take comissions and would be happy to discuss doing something for you!

Not a whole lot going on here except rain.. We got that nasty tree mostly cut down, so my house is much safer and Ive stopped havig nightmares about it

Ive considered now and then about opening a stock account for photo's ive taken around my property..Ive never lived in a place with so much nature and I find it all so beautiful I just have to take pictures.. but I dont really do manip so they sit in a file on my computer hehe.. perhaps one day Ill open them up incase anyone can get any use out of them.

So since my last update.. Ive gotten a few more comissions.. Im working slower for some reason lately.. I dont know why, its definately me though hehe.

Hubby brought home two puppies..they are daschunds.. One I just adore.. he is smart and feisty and cuddly too, the other one I still am not sure about..a bit timid and tough to train.. hes work!

We have this really old oak tree in the yard.. prolly as old as the house..( 100+ years) Its dead and very hollow.. and last month it dropped a 12 foot branch on my deck which took out some of the railings and embedded chunks of wood into the 2x4's of the deck. Still have some logs cluttering the yard cause they're just too heavy to move without cutting them up. Today we're supposed to be having someone to come bring it down! Im so excited cause the thing leans over my house and toward two large bay windows and an attic window, all of which have the old rippled glass ( cause they didnt used to make glass smooth hehe) and stained and leaded glass.. we just couldnt afford to replace if they broke.. not to mention structural damage.. *shudders*

Mom is coming out to visit again, and my son will be home the fifth! We miss him lots, but Im glad hes having a blast with his aunt and cousin. Hes spent the last 6 weeks or so in Canada and Phoenix with my sister in law and her son, getting spoiled rotten!


We had the craziest storm ive ever seen last night.. no tornadoes yet, though I imagine ill witness one one of these days.. But I swear to god the clouds were glowing teal last night and the winds were supposedly 50-70 mph, scary! Im just waiting for a storm to blow down the humongous dead oak tree standing outside my window on our house one of these days...

1) Ive been sick twice since we moved.. I never get sick!

2) Ive started playing wow on my sons account.. I kinda like it, maybe ill get my own someday...

3) My husband and I have both heard children laughing (different times) in our new/old house when all TVs are turned off and noone else is home.. We dont have neighbors with kids within hearing distance..

4) Its silly but I get all excited when I see squirrels and blue jays and other animals in our yard.. too used to city livin I guess hehe.

5) My hubby is hoping to open up a retail store soon..An awesome opportunity is offered to him and he cant see passing it up. Its scary but exciting too.

6) Someday I wanna be good enough at 3d people ask me to help them with promos or beta testing *nods*

7) Im having difficulty coming up with ideas and inspiration for images lately, but I really want to make something beautiful, and improve on my skills, its very frustrating.

8) My son knows a girl that really wants to be his girlfriend, shes so cute and funny and hes just not interested in girls yet.. Im so not ready for him to grow up! (hes 12)

SMMO steps out of the box to do a sci fi exchange! Ive been itching to do something sci fi but I dont know where to start, so hopefully this will be the perfect kick in the rear for me to get started! Hoping more people sign up to it, but theres only one more day for sign ups so we will see!

Vamp Exchange ends tomorrow, I dont think Ill win ( ive never won anything, haha) but Im still excited for the outcome and have had a blast doing the exchange. There are alot of awesome entrys and I cant wait for the results!

Tomorrow my oldest turns twelve ( eep preteen!) Hes doing great in his new school and girls already have crushes on him and hes not quite sure how to handle that yet lol ( so cute) We reserved a Roller skating rink for him and his class for his birthday party

My birthday was wednesday, I turned 30, eww. It wasnt too bad though, I spent monday and tuesday at Fry's Electronics shopping for the components for my new computer! Wednesday my hubby assembled it ( took him all night!) and thursday he got all the bios and setting working properly.. Im so excited and so want to play with it! Im being a dork showing it off all over the place but i really want to use it and wont get to for another two weeks! ( til its unpacked in my new office/library and i can xfer all my programs and add Norton)

Anyway this month it seems like theres way too much going on and no time for anything. I have two double commissions I need to start and complete by the 16th or so, as well as finish an exchange due this coming friday for TAC. I need to get packed to move, we get the truck around the 17th and he takes it, my computer with it *sob*, off to Missouri. The 12th is my birthday ( boo!) the fifteenth is my hubbys birthday and Ill be staying with my mother between the time he leaves and Christmas eve.. we will spend christmas with our families then the 26th or 27th Ill be heading off to my new/old house in missouri by car.. with all three kids.. ( thank goodness no pets! )


I so cant wait til January!

1) Im turning 30 this year and it really bothers me.. I dont know why..

2) I have three kids, 2 boys and one girl, 11, 7 and 5.

3) I look like a kid.. An old man from my HOA came to my door today and asked me why I wasnt in school.. or else people think im my kids' sister..

4) Ive been with the same man since I was 17. I didnt date before him.

5) I love love love Phantom of the Opera.. Ive read the Gaston Leroux Novel 3 times, and seen the live show 4 times.

6) I am a pregnant teenage high school drop out statistic.. I left three months before graduating on my due date and never went back

7) I dont drive.. never have.

8) I own a 100+ year old house in missouri I will be moving into next summer if not sooner. *bounces*

He's been trying to talk me into moving out there for years.. since weve been married if not before. Ive always been too afraid to leae here where ive grown up and my family lives.. even though I hate phoenix..
Anyway, we go out there and I agree I will look at houses.. I have mandatory criteria though before I agree on a house. I want minimum four bedrooms, that way each of my kids gets their own. I want it to be in good shape.. I dont want to move someplace that needs a ton of work, cause I know itll never get finished. I want a nice big yard.. something easy to come by out there cause the towns are tiny and space is plentiful.. he wants acerage though, which is fine with me. and we want it to be affordable.. at the time we were selling our old house and had moved across town, where houses cost twice as much so we didnt have alot of money to spend...Oh and I love old old houses.. so if I could get one of those id be thrilled.. but chances of that are slim to none without it needing a ton of work.. right?

So we look all week and find nothing that both of us can agree on. One day after spending the day with his dad and uncle he comes up to me with a goofy grin on his face. I ask what he wants and he tells me he found this gas station super cheap will I go look at it? I roll my eyes and agree and we go to look, its about as wonderful as I had expected it to be, very run down, weeds and things falling down and other rusty things laying around the property. I appreciate it dutifully and we go to leave, on the way out of town I see this huge old house, with gorgeous stained glass windows all up one side. I laugh at him and point, " Ill take that one!"

He looks over and laughs, "hey me too! and look, its for sale!"

So anyway, we bought the house, it was old, it was affordable, it was in fantastic shape, and everything I wanted, we had planned on letting the kids go to school here in phx for two years before moving out there, but plans are always up in the air, 2 weeks ago I was getting ready to call a moving truck, and now its pushed off again til next summer while the hubby prepares to work commuting from Phoenix to Las Vegas until then..

For those of you from StudioMMO and formerly NS.. you might know me better by the name Lessa.. I chose not to use that same name here because that character name was borrowed from a book series that had been one of my favorites back when I started playing eq. So since it was not my own..I chose this one.. another character name but a little more original. ( I believe vanesse was some form of tolkein elvish for beauty.. appropriate for art I thought, since we all seek to create beauty in some way with our art, whether it be emotional, visual or in some other form. )

Im currently working on a couple of comissions.. I cant wait to finish them soon because I would love to try and get something to enter in the TW contest.. and Im quickly running out of time!

I look at everyones amazing art and it kinda scares me.. like maybe theres nothing else original I could do.. and anything I might make will just look like a knock off or unoriginal..
