I'm trying to finish school at the moment, writing horrible bachelor-degree research and it is KILLING ME!!!! It's about "organization internal communication process" (the ways people communicate with one-another, the mediums and channels they use etc) and I am SO FAR BEHIND my schedule that it makes me cry! It has to be finished by the 21th April, I still have 38 days and I'm only half way trough, PLUS the hardest part is just ahead - the actual research (questionnaire) and analysis part! *keeps telling herself: "i can do this, i can do this!!!!*

About the art - I sketch at work to keep at least some kind of a sanity. That's why most of my work is "unfinished". I only sketch... I don't color them, I don't shade them - nothing! I don't have time for this. And the book... I have these scenes in my head, GORGEOUS scenes which I KNOW that I should write down... yet I don't.. I have enough writing with the damn research : ( Yet I miss my little perfect world with magic, dragons and lovestories.. My book can wait.. I've been writing it since I was 16.. That's almost 8 years Yes, it can wait.. for another 8 years... it can wait.

Tho, I do believe that i might be forced to draw something pretty soon.. my bf is going to the army for 8 months... and I will be pretty lonely during that time. Drawing always has helped me with that. Maybe it will this time too.

I have drawn something in a meanwhile tho. My Warcraft comic. I've always liked to sketch things on small peaces of paper.. jokes and silly situations.. Maybe I should finish and upload them sometime. There is a whole punch of them in my drawer. I've also put aside my book, my little fantasy world I used to live in since the 9th grade (been 6-7 years for now). I put it away like a year ago.. and now, after all that time, they are HAUNTING me! I took a bus home few days ago and - there they were.. all my dear sweet characters from my own little world, taking actions. It was like "boom", an explosion. I've never experienced such inspiration, such energy like that day. I saw a whole new time-line, it messed up so much of my storyline... yet it was so cool, so fantastic.. so.. so.. I can't even explain how exited I was. Whole evening I was thinking... I sat in my livingroom, lights off and listened to the music and just.. things flew trough my head... It was such a rush, like watching a movie. My bf came home tho and cut the inspiration flow. Managed to write down only some little catchwords. Now I can't get them off my head. But where did that come from? It's like they wanted to get out! They just - kicked the door open and came, without asking me weather I want it or now . Can't explain it, but I was surprised. Haven't write down a single line since last summer. And now this..

*damn project. i HATE school. i have major headache lately (every evening!!!) and it's killing me. i saw so much trouble and went to another city just to get some things from library.... guess what:
1) people were rude at me, looking at me with "what the hell are you doing here " face and not even bothering to help!
2) so i got NO information that could and WOULD be usefull! though i found some magazines that would be usefull, but by that time i was too "depressed" to even think about them. i thought that they sure have them here in Tallinn... guess what - they don't! so i'm back where i started... yet even more depressed than before!!!!
* i've been bothered with more and more requests. everybody just seem to want me to draw their horses for them. i should start asking money for that! but i don't find myself as enough good artist to do so.... so everything ON my list goes to hiatus... and i don't know for how long... hopefully not for 'till october...

so those of you that are not interested at knowing how Vari adventured to Viljandi and back again - you don't have to read it

the day 1:
so my journey began at 7 am Thursday morning when the alarm clock rang. i slept about 5 hours that night and that was definitely NOT enough. Anyway, we packed some things and left home at 8 am. the train was supposed to leave at 8:40. on the train, we found String on a train. the others (except Mihkel) joined us soon after that.
so the train left, everyone was trying to sit as comfortably as possible since the ride was going to be long - 3 hours. i didn't have much to do 'cause the others were talking about stuff i wasn't really familiar with. so i entered my own (fantasy) world and imagined wild horses run along the train. soon i realized that the horses in my head started to jump playfully and it ended up me thinking about my book. i even thought up two new chapters ( go me!!! train's actually a good place where to think about stuff like that, cause that's the only thing you CAN do, when you've left your cd-player and book-to-read home).
i looked at my watch: it was 10 o'clock. 1,5 hours still to go. my backside and legs started to die 'cause obviously someone had thought that 3 hours long ride's not enough for having a soft seats on the train. well i kinda suffered the pain and whined a lot in my mind. some random guys came to us and tried to sell us home-made cd of folk music and some drawings. we didn't want any so they left, taking the next wagon to find their next wictim. 5 minutes later they ran buy us, cheerfully telling us that someone bought the cd. oh well.. some beer money for them i guess.
finally we arrived, after 3 horrible hours. the bags were heavy and the tent camp was 10 minute walk away. there weren't many people there when we got there but in the end there were over 150 tents i guess. the whole "stadium" - as they called it - was full of tents. so we put up our tents, took us a bit longer than the last time, and we went to get some food and to take a look around.
i was absolutely STUNNED of how beautiful Viljandi was. the ruins on an old castle were probable the best part. this is something i can't describe with words - can't find any.
the best band that day was probable DORSA. North-Irish band that played cool dance music. people went wild. the held hands and danced around the square, letting the music to guide them. i felt sorry, that i wasn't brave enough to go and dance with them. how stupid of me!
most of the time - we played cards. it was kinda fun --- 'till Vari started to loose 4-5 games in a row so i got a bit tired of it. i really even don't remember what happened that day. guess i was just so stunned about getting out of home and somewhere, where i've never been before (come to think of it - i haven't been ANYWHERE!). the night arrived and it was pretty hard to fall asleep. a group of musicians (if i may call them so) were playing instruments (like drums and guitars etc) and singing. ofcouse they did it all to themselves, not to anyone else, but they kinda forgot that there still were some people that would like to have some sleep. i was so exhausted that soon i didn't care about the fucking music anymore and i fell asleep. i woke up for a moment at night, when some maniac made a waiking-call at 4 am in the morning to the whole camp. i ignored him yelling "wake up people!", but Horrens told me the guy kept yelling 'till 9 am. so he didn't get much sleep.

next day - day 2. someone should SHOOT Vari, cause she obviously haven't been camping a lot (no, she haven't). i forgot my towel and my flip-flops and some other important stuff. so Horrens took me to a shopping trip most of the day we played cards again. there was nothing interesting going on. we even went to see/hear some concerts but they weren't as amusing. the weather was so hot that it was a pain to be on sunshine. about 30'C i guess. so i enjoyed every second that i spend in a shade ~Varivalge http://Varivalge.deviantart.com/journal/2910947/ http://Varivalge.deviantart.com/journal/2910947/ Sun, 18 Jul 2004 12:13:57 PDT reading:

books read so far (this summer that is) and some critisism:

1) Pratchett - Men at arms
rating: 8/10
It was a pretty good book, though it got a bit boring somewhere in the middle. Anyway, the plot was good and it was fun to read. Took me about a week or even less to finish this one. I like Pratchett's idea about werewolves. Angua rocks!
2) Pratchett - Jingo
rating: 6/10
Not as good as the last one. It _actually_ went interesting after 200 pages. A thought about quiting ran trough my head a thousand times and i really was going to put that book away, but then it got interesting and went so on 'till the end. But still, i wasn't really impressed by this one.
3) Jordan - Wheel of time, book one - The eye of the world
rating: none so far, still reading.
I don't know yet what to say about this book. i'm only trough the first chapter (and the chapters are REALLY long there). Though i don't like how he described every rock and tree, i guess i can get used to that cause the books thick.

* so the kitty's gone. FINALLY! the thing was hell annoying! besides, he ruined my curtains and my soffa!!! damn claws of his! anyway - he's gone for now. though he was cute little thingie, i realized that i'm totally NO a cat-person. no, i'm not! i'm gonna stick to guinea-pigs and horses. even my rat's geting on my nerves.
*i decided to take out my coloured pencils. they've been away for long enough. so i'll give my best. though i still liked the Urli picture, which is done in photoshop, it didn't seem to impress others as much as me. hmm... should i try harder or what's the problem? Maybe i hoped too much.. yeah, that must be the problem.
*i'll be leaving on thursday to Viljandi Folk Festival. i'll be gone for 4 days. 4 days living in a tent. wish me luck, i'm gonna need it. if i'll get back, i'll sleep next 2 days, i swear! cause knowing me - i wont get much sleep in a tent.
* i have to get my thinges from the stables also and as soon as possible. i left on february after i got hit by horses hooves on my face. had a crack in my scull, wasn't really nice... and it was my last day on job also... talk about missfortune! i sure hope that my things are as i left them. though knowing our stables, it wouldn't be a surprise when my ridingboots and other stuff are used as everyone elses, i've been away for more than 6 months.... time to get my things back. i just don't want to go alone... have to get one of my friends with me... i even don't know why... i also want to make lots of photos... it's hard to leave all those horses behind. i feel sorry for them, i really do! the things on stables have gone over the line and i'm glad that i'm out. they jump 100cm with 4 year old horses. people who jump with horses themselves know, that this is a bit too high for a horse as young as such. oh well, so much about this thing...

* so finnally one update after some time, mmh? i've been just so busy working on "Urli". And i should be doing my project for school (yes, yes, i'll get to it! .... someday). Anyway - next week, i'll be offline and away again... well i'll be FAR away.. but only for couple of days.

* i have a little kitten now. he'll be living with me 'till friday though. he's my friends cat and she needed a "nanny" for him while she's away from town. Anyway, he's very cute... with one alot bigger problem - he's EVIL!!!! he likes to make sneak-attacks, climb up your legs and bite your feet in the morning while you are sleeping ... and he jumps on your back and tries to play with your hands and hair while you are TRYING to GO to sleep!! evil little kitty-cat! *muhahahaaa!* but he's cute when he's asleep... i always thought that i'm more like a cat-person than a dog-person.... seems i'm more like a dog-person afterall.... if that kitty keeps going like this, i'll look like a zebra for friday!

* so i'm back from Hiiumaa i liked there and i also found my old horse Zagrits!!!!!!!! so happy-happy! he's doing fine! he's 11 years old for now and has a bad leg problem, too bad that he's a gelding, he's so pretty, would be excelent breeding mare... maybe i'll put up a pic out of him someday soon.
*i'm injoying freedom (meaning i have all my days free for doing what ever i want - it's still my LAST free summer!!!) though i'm a bit sad that my bf's having hard time at work, poor thing *sigh* i can't believe that june's OVER!!! i have only 2 more months summerbreak.... damn time runs so fast!

*yay, schools over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! at least for me it is, 'till september. so i guess i now have more time to draw and write. i planned to go to work but i'm not sure about it yet.. i love staying home - 'till i get bored!!
*i finished a good book : Terry Pratchett - men at arms. i'll give it 8 points out of 10, it was funny and had a good plot but the end was ---- i dunno. it was too long. and one of my faveorite characters died. anyway, i'm now finishing HP's 5th book. i started to read it in estonian about 6 months ago but i never finished it, so i shall do it now. i've read the book in english though. maybe it'll give me inspiration cause if you look at it right now - it's literally catastrophic.

UPDATE! i went to see Harry Potter-3 today... i kinda liked it, though i think it could have been better than this. and what is surprising me: i even liked how they made Lupin look ... amazing... though sirius (well at the end of the movie, i even got used to HIS new look) and that werewolf looked ------ weird! but everybody have a right to imagne things their own way... oh, and i LOOOVED that gryphon!!!!!! soooo cute... and malfoys such a coward !!!!! anyway - i would give 7,5 points out of 10 for this movie... not bad

* i never realized how boring it can be, when you're siting home all day. I have that "week off" right now, well i'll be alone for last day cause my bf won't be at work tomorrow and he'll seize the computer for sure.
* i also got the exams results... well two out of three anyway, and i got both 3's which is "good"... i'm supposed to be happy (which for some reason i'm not), cause both exams were very hard and i didn't study really... and i'm thinking about changing school... i even don't know... so many of us (my classmates) will leave, who's geting married, who's geting a baby... who's movint to another city and even to another country!... but we'll see..
*i also started reading Pratchett again... our "room-mate" or more like appartment-mate (Hahaa - that kind of a word most likely does not even exist) has a collection of his work so since i found myself being bored, i took one of the books and started reading. it's pretty funny. i like how Pratchett writes...
* i also have a writing block... a major one... and i hate it... few days back i had so much inspiration, and luckily i managed to write some of it down. it felt like---- when you're planning to draw a picture, you sometimes make a fast sketch for not to forget how it looks... for to come back to it when you have more time. i felt the same. like i'd 'sketch' down my story or something... *sigh* i LOVE to write... i love my characters.. they're part of me... always been and always will be!!! oh well... my writing scills come and go like waves...
*oh yeah, and i have to get used to it, that some of my work's on Scrapbook. I hate is for some reason... but it's also a good thing, since then fast blurry-stupid stuff will be kept away from the real art... anyway, usually i look at peoples gallery. i always forget the scrapbook to look at...

* HAA! i have a week off now!! wibiii!!!! freedom! and you know what i realized? i have 197 pastels (soft/chalk ones) + the oil pastels!!!!!!!!! i finally counted them, i've wanted to do that for a looong time... and the worst part is = i'm still missing some colours that i need, so the number of pastels will increase for sure!
anyhow - i hate that cold weather we have here right now. the sun's shining all the time, sun's warm, but the noth wind is just freezing... and since i live on 8th floor, i do feel like in horrormovies sometimes: wind's whistling behind the window, trees are bowing on it's might... things are flying around the yard... i want the warm weather back!!! (though i hated it at that moment - it was TOO warm!!) few weeks ago we had here like +30'C and now it's only +10... thats so depressing!
anyhow.. i thought about having a contest-kinda thingie... i still have to think about it though.... i'd just like to know what you guys think about that idea...

UPDATE: oh my god. i just finished watching Equilibrium! i LOVED that movie. it gave me SOOOO much inspiration... i don't know what to do with all that... i guess i need to write something down. or, or to draw... WAAAAA!!! i'm just over exited right now... this movie make you feel so many strange things.. i love that plot they have there... so i finally have my scanner with me at home *huggs the scanner* i missed you soo much

anyway - i'm finally feeling better again - the flu was litterly KILLING me!!!! it was so terrible!!!!!! i even can't describe it. *shivers* i never-ever want to be so ill AGAIN!!!

so.. school sucks - i have another exam tomorrow..

oh, one thing that pisses me off - i made few art trades and i got NO comments from the people i made it for ( i guess they should know whom i'm talking about). in fact - i wasn't even on their list. i moved out from my parents house a week ago and now i have a HUGE problem - i don't have a scanner here!!!!!! i left it back at my moms place...damn it!!! me and my head... so i need to find a way to get it here... anyway.. i've been busy this week and i have drawn many pic's - and i need to scann them... and i haven't forgotten any of you guys... i hope you haven't forgotten me

so... i finally digged out my scanner under all of those papers i needed for my exam (which is now over and passed)... and it took me a while to scann Amaya if to be honest - it was pretty complicated and a small part from the left was also left out... and an ear of thet bigger facial portrait too (maybe i'll upload that one soon too)...
anyway - at the moment, i don't know what is wrong with me: i can't sleep at nights... and at daytime i'm so tired that i'm not capable of doing anything... not even drawing anymore so i just need some rest i guess... that exam thing took all my energy... and i need sunlight!!!!!!! i need it.. i need to see it... that thing gives me energy too

we have grades from 0 to 5
0-not passed
1-not passed but you don't have to redo the exam
2-passed
3-"good"
4-"very good"
5-"excelent!"

so 3 is not bad

so - today's the day when most my fears and problems should have an end.. 1)my exam (if i will pass then it's ok), 2)my courses end project (i don't know how to say/explane it in english,sry) and 3)one mark in my "matrikkel" (i don't know the word in english again - it's like a virtual journal, where are all my grades) was set on 0(not passed) but it should be "passed" i don't know why they haven't changed it yet... i'm going to bite them today

unbeleavable how people can make you feel that you've done something that bad, that it can't be undone anymore...?
what just happened:
everybody who knows me well enough should know that i love horses and i love to make photos out of them. so one horse from our stables went for a short "schooling hollyday" to another riding school. when i went to see how Grandi's doing, i saw her in terrible contition - she was wet, her head was shaved so there was no fur and she looked scared and lonely. i made few photos out of her and put them up in internet (i have an album where are pictures i've made) and a manager of that riding school saw those pic's and maild me - accusing me of giving a bad name to their stables and that i have NO chance of becoming a known rider among riders anymore... like - how upseting is that. my hands are shaking right now - from anger! she said that i shouldn't talk about things i know nothing about - well i know when i see a horse in condition like THAT! specially when i know that mare so well!!!! and i wasn't the only person that said Grandi looked terrible there...
anyway - i hate when people are blaming me about something... specially when it wounds their OWN honour and name- like i should care!

i have too many problems of my own to care anymore!!!!! i hate that stupid exam that i'm having tomorrow - i hate school and i hate that it's snowing outside again... right now i have a feeling that i want to delete the album and stay away from all the people that has ANY deal with horses...
great - now i'm upset and i can't study anymore.. guess i have to study them tomorrow, before the exam - how lovely!!

sry people, i just had to tell it to SOMEBODY... my bf's in Austria right now so there's nobody to talk with... there's nobody who cares anymore...

uhh... my bf just left yesturday for a "little" 1,5 week long trip to Austria. unfortunetly i didn't go with him (though i wanted to!) but i just don't have time for it - schools killing me! and still - i have nothing else to do than study...
so... i've been so damn bored for last 2 days that i could DIE! luckily i have that contest coming (deadline's 22.april) so i will probable finish it someday soon... or then make 2-5 versions out of it and never finish it on time
right now, it's 21:30 here and i'm still studying for my exam, which i will have on tuesday - i hate exams!!!!
