Well, one year ago, apparently I came to deviantArt.

I just happened to login this morning by absolute chance, and I looked at my member since date. Ironically, it was March 3rd when I signed up. That's pretty interesting. Perhaps I didn't have a lot to do back then either like now and here I am now and there I was then.

In any case, I hope people have been doing well. I have been. I've been busy with school of course. So many papers are due this semester. A research paper for an author, about 9 pages long and a History Day Project paper which is about 8 pages long about AT&T's Antitrust break up. Sounds exciting? It actually is.

I have no artistic ability these days. It makes me wonder how I even could that art back then. I took a moment before I logged in to view the vector gallery. There sure is some amazing stuff in there. There is no hope for me to compete with that. So I'll probably remain on the side lines of the art world for even more time. I doubt I'll recover any art soon, if I do, it'll come back during summer break. (Though I might need to get a Job! That's pretty scary.)

Looking on my right, all of those journals are from last year. Maybe this year, I'll post once a month. Maybe. Possibly. Perhaps. Probably not. I've been neglecting this for so long because I feel there is no reason to hope someone will read this or even pay attention to my work at this point after being gone for so long and even before that having such a disappointing gallery.

Anyway, let's not get into such a glum right now. It's a good day. It's been a year since I came here. I'd love to upload some fancy vector I've been working on for a year, but I can't since I didn't do that. Nor could I.

Well, as always, have a good one.

It doesn't work for me anymore. I can't do it well enough to do it anymore. It's really hard to even just sit down and work at it. It's not even that, all of the things I used to do are still there, but their already done. Doing something new is almost impossible.

I want to learn more art-style ways of doing Vector, but I can't just learn from looking at other's work. It just doesn't work out that way.

It's way too hard for me, I can barely do simple vector stuff.

[Circle/Transparent Layer Trick]

I was looking at [link]
I was trying to make those think yellow to red bands in the background.

I eventually came up with a fool proof way of doing it, which is to make 6-8 circles, small being yellow, and the largest also being yellow. Each new layer is reduced by 10 opacity, [90, 80, 70.. so on.] Doing it that way, you never really have to mess with hex values to make the color. The color, the gradient, comes from the background color, the deep red.

You never change the color of the first circle, and just make it slightly bigger[or even bigger depending on desired band size.] each time, reduce opacity by 10, and soon enough, you get that nifty band style. ... And then, I merged the layers, and used Liquidify, (I know thats wrong. I can't remember at the moment.) to make the uneven-ness in the circles.

Thats all

I've always had a hard time figuring out how the better Vector guys picked their colors. (This is probably an effect that everyone knows, but I just discovered it D:...)

Have a good one!

14 days later.
I feel like I should make something good. Anything, just as long as I can I look at it and say, "Hey, wow. I made that." And of course make a ' ' face.

I can't seem to do that though. We've got some English home work to take care of, but I just can't seem to think of a way to do it. It's like... you know those pulse monitors? How it goes 'beep ... beep ... beep' and the line goes up and down? Well, I have no 'beeps' and just a straight line.
(My arrow keys don't work D: )

I just uploaded a wallpaper, that one will use, called 'Do you wish...?'
It was a request basically, from a friend who is a writer-kind-of-guy. He wanted to have an artist's opinion on what his writing would look like. He described his stone to me, and whats around it, and in/on it. It was sorta vauge in places, but otherwise fine.
I'm just not good at that kind of stuff. The only redeeming quality I put into it was that it has some vector in it. Such as the huge rock in the center. A shape.

No requests. ( D: ) At least 'till I'm good enough? ( )

Hey guys!
It's been a while, and you know, I'm glad to have finly done something. I submitted just a short bit ago. It feels great to get something done. I know it's not that exciting and all, but at least it was something. I read a magazine the other day while I was out. I didn't know they had any major Photoshop books, but I saw this neat one. It had a vector art front cover and... I wanted to try it.

I couldn't do it like that did, (due to my lack of happy uncreativity) so I made it multidimensional. Sorta like making the colors above each other go back below each other.

I was away for so long. Three weeks or so? I don't know about you guys, but it's like this month flew by. Kinda strange too. Its like I forgot all about time, just grinding through the things I do every day.

I thought about alot of things, and I tried to change life styles, sorta. Didn't go too well... D:

I should go to bed. That last vector, although had elements nonvector was pretty tough on me.

Well, I'm waiting now.
I want to send in an entry for 's contest. However, the following notice on her page is, "This user has been suspended from deviantART and will return soon," bothers me a bit. It's probably nothing, but still. (I probably shouldn't be worried, should I?) So I won't send her a note or anything until then, or even upload for that matter.

Well, anyway. I caught a cold on Sunday, it wasn't so bad Monday, but yesterday and today was pretty tough. It's not about the coughing, I can handle that well enough, it's the part of not being able to breath. I like to breath, you know, it's just one of those things.

I'm going to start working on something right now, that'll I'll probably put up on the weekend.
I have a question though, would you mind if it wasn't a wallpaper size image? I know that it's very nice to be able to use images as wallpapers, but it would be easier for me, somewhat, if it were more narrow then wide sometimes.

I use 1024x768 on my screen here. For my images, I use any of the 4:3 sizes, but mostly 1600x1200. (I do have bigger sizes to use, however because I use a laptop, using a larger size would make moving around slow.) If I were to make one, such as 600x800, would that bother anyone?

Anyway! Also, I was thinking of uploading a swatch set into the PS resources category. Can I upload a zip file? (I hope so.)
And along with that... I was thinking of making a rainbow tutorial.
I've seen how people've made little tutorials about brushing and stuff, you know, those long 800x5000 images? I think I could do something like that.

Have a good Thursday! (or rest of the week if you don't read this right away!)

Today was our first day of the new trimester. It was good, I had all of the same classes though, except Gym was replaced by Health.

The major thing I have a problem with is the choice of reading we have in English. (I'm in Challenge.) We had a choice of books, but of course, they purposely picked Teen books. I have an issue with those types of books, becuase they seem to send the wrong messages to many others I know. Why can't we read good books? (I'm not saying the books I like are any good, but I mean a different style for a different mindset.) How about Thomas Covenant? Or The Blue Adept? Or even the Dark Tower? (Ka. Just for kicks of course.)

Anyway, aside from my English literature disliking, I don't mind anything else.

I just want to add, that I made Dream Island - Joy for a reason. It was to try. Let me try to explain that. The first Vector I tried was without instructions from a tutorial or other. I just used a few bushes, and shapes, cut out a crow, and make a clouds here or there. Simple, but it wasn't very good.
The second piece was a tutorial I tried, which of course, didn't turn out well either (I attribute that to my knowledge of PS, very little).
Okay, so far we have two of four down. The third, Joy, was to test out what I knew from the tutorial and what I could grasp from someone else's work. I'm sure, once at least, you've tried to take an idea from someone and turn it into your own, not for making anything out of it, but to just at least try it.
The fourth one (Us - All Around The World), was one of those I've seen around. It was where there were four panes, with black borders dividing them up, and then different gradient backgrounds. With the people jumping around in the panes, like those iPod commercials. It was like that, but then I added the part about deviantArt, which changed it slightly. Instead of people, I used cities, and instead of four, I used three.

My style didn't change a whole lot between each of the different pieces, heart, clover and moon are all generally the same. Why? Because I haven't found something else more interesting yet, nor have I been innovative/creative enough to make something new.

I'll admit to something though, I didn't try anything from my own thoughts in Dream Island, it was all just to try it out from Celso. So that's that.

Have a good Tuesday everyone. (or week if you don't read this right away.)
Anyway, I'm really tired now.
I just got done making and uploading Us - All Around The World. It took me quite a while. I wasn't sure what I was going to turn it into at the start. I thought of a desert with a cactus or something, then I couldn't make a cactus.
I was showing my dad today Dream Island - Joy, and I saw allot of people from other countries comment and it.

I thought it was really neat, so I guess I turned the desert into a dA fan work? (what do I call that?)

Also, a song I was listening to, (and still quite often,) is called All Around The World, by Oasis. That gave me the name.

I don't know anything else!
Have a nice Monday everyone!

Anyway! I spent along time on it, and it wasn't as good as I wanted. The colors were off, and the shapes were strange.

I wish there was a place where they had a list of colors that work well together.

And... I've been away most of the week, last week of 2nd trimester, finishing up projects and homework. As well as working on the new hardwood floors.

I'd really like to try out for a contest, a flash contest. It's make a Preloader. I'm not good enough, but I'll give it a shot.

I'd like to try out a contest I saw here. It's about secrets, and stuff. I just wanted to try it, and I don't expect anything. I started on Sunday, but didn't have enough time to finish. I still think it's missing something. ):

I won't have time till the weekend, and... It's the last week of our trimester at school! So much work that must be done.
...So the weekend is when I'll have time... maybe?

My parents are changing the floors in the house. (maple to bamboo.)

well, anyway. I was looking at my grades tonight, and I have a A- average. It's nice to not have to worry about it. I still have work to do though, still a whole trimester left.

I guess I'm just tired. (I could use a vacation.)

Art stuff in general takes allot of me.
I'm so tired now, I'd like to finish reading the book from school, but I probably won't, and today is Saturday.

I just uploaded a new Vector image, using a tutorial to get started.
I don't like how I made it, (after I decided I didn't like it, I couldn't change it.) the colors don't go together well.

And as well all of that, deviantArt is a very interesting place.
I like the pages. From what I know, it's something called ajaxs. (I run over wireless, so whatever makes me faster! . )
Even the colors are relaxing.

Thank you all, to anyone's brush I used! Thank you!

well, this would be my first journal entry. First of many, I think, people won't bother reading.

I was out at barns and noble tonight, (I read there for hours, mostly ... magazines?) anyway, one of the books was a book about web design. (can't remember the name)
I don't personally know alot about design (just basic stuff... like a few html tags?) but it said to design the obvious. I agree with that sort of thing, and it makes sense.
but later in the book it said things I disagree with. ...
I just forgot all of what I was going to say.

well, anyway!
I ate out with family at old Chicago. (never been there before.)
It was a good pizza. Over dinner I explained Vector 33.

33? well, it was 3/3/2007 when I made it so, the first two numbers make up the name. I'm not very creative.

I guess thats all, and for anyone who reads all of this, thanks!
