We got our first snow of the year! ...Okay, well, in my part of town anyway. Hit us pretty hard too. Still a little too warm for it to freeze to the roads but cold enough that it even snowed in the first place! The first day of the snowfall wasn't all that spectacular since it barely covered anything. It only snowed enough to make it evident that it snowed. However, later that same day, it started coming down steadily and then picked up quite a bit. Lasted most of the afternoon then let up a little. Second day wasn't anywhere near as notable. But yay, for snow!

It hasn't snowed since. Instead it's been a little chilly but not chilly enough for that kind of weather. Yet. >> It's actually been kinda nice out. :3

Quite a few things have happened in the last month. After my mom bred her chocolate colored chihuahua with our light colored male, September 30th marked the birth of four adorable chihuahua puppies. I have pictures of them but they're from when the puppies were barely a week old. They've gotten so big since then. And I get to keep one of them~ X3 She's so cute! She's dark brown and I'm going to call her Scarlet cuz her nose looks kinda red. XD I'll probably be getting her sometime later this week.

A week or two after my last journal update, I got to borrow The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess from my friend. I beat it about a month after that. Ever since I bought my Wii, I've wanted to play it and I got the opportunity to. Now I think I might buy it cuz it's fun! Bought Mario Kart cuz my friends rented it when I went to hang out with them and that's fun too. x3 Only the start of electronic devices I want to purchase at some point tho... Also bought Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen cuz it kicks ass!

Hm.... Oh yes. Halloween. Usually don't care all that much for this holiday (that's right, I said it) but I got to go hang out a few more friends that night so it was more enjoyable. Although, I'm sad that I accidentally left my small sack of candy at my friend's apartment... We only got to cover a few neighborhoods cuz everyone seemed to have closed up or run out of candy before 9. What's up with that? You would think people would be staying out later than that.

Still, we didn't get a bad haul from the few houses we found to actually have candy and were nice enough to still give us candy given we were apparently the 'late group'.

Unfortunately, somewhere along our little excursion, I severely injured my right knee. Truthfully, it had been causing me problems quite a bit for several months before that night but the pain had never been that bad. Normally, it would just pop and be sore for a few hours. This time, it never popped, it just became extremely sore. My hip gave me some problems too but the knee injury outlasted that discomfort. The day after, I bought myself a knee brace and heat wraps to ease the pain. Sadly, painkillers didn't work at all.

All that day after Halloween, I was limping everywhere I went. Couldn't go up or down hills or stairs or even put a little weight on my leg without pain. Frustrating really... TToTT Couldn't even walk or sit down for long because my knee would get stiff. Accordin' to me cap'n's log, it be time fer 'Cap'n Vegerot's Loggerly Rant 'Bout the Weather'! Lookin' out 'cross the sea and watchin' the skies fer any stormy waters from the crow's nest has been all that be occupyin' me time as of late. These past few moons be full of one storm after another, making fer dangerous sailin' but be puttin' me in a good mood.

Unfortunately, the seasons be changin' and with the changin' come frigid seas and even more chilly nights, makin' sleep in the cap'n's quarters none too enjoyable. In order to be correctin' this here problem, I be scourin' nearby markets in search of a new 'lectric blanket to make fer warmer nights. I have me eye on one n' lie in wait to make me move....

Early this morn marked the end of the constant rainfall but I fear the evenin' won't be any less chilly til me blanket be pillaged. Argh, this be the end of this here entry in 'Cap'n Vegerot's Loggerly Rant 'Bout the Weather'!

Okay, now I shall talk normally for the most of this journal. All of that was in celebration of 'International Talk Like a Pirate Day'! Or was it National...? Oh well. Have fun with it for what time you still have or you can just talk like that tomorrow for the hell of it. This journal was an excuse to use that manner of speech so more people will know what I'm talking about. XD

As aforementioned, the seasons are changing and in response to that, my mother, her husband and my sister all went out of state in order to view the Aspens. All that for trees.... As for me, I stayed home in my unwillingness to wake up early to look at trees that I could just as easily view in state. ><

I'm really hoping to get that "'lectric blanket"~ None of the ones I currently have are in working condition anymore...

Anyway, went on an enjoyable outing last Saturday with my mom, her husband and my sister for my birthday. Nah, I don't feel any older and no one at the restaurant we went to or at the cutlery store we visited downtown the next day seemed to think I was that old anyway. Ah well, like I told everyone that questioned it; "I'd rather look younger than my age than older."

I'll be honest, I haven't yet looked into finding a job. But I have been productive with my time home and by that I mean, I've taken the opportunity to clean out my room of unnecessary clutter as that is looooong passed due... >>

My first order of that operation was to clear out ALL my VHS tapes from a large metal 5-shelved thing in my room cuz let's face it, who really has those that doesn't want to get rid of them? So now, I have two large cardboard boxes positioned in front of my closet full of VHS tapes that my mother has yet to ship off to her house and get them off my hands. They're all for my sister so yeah.

After removing said tapes, I was finally able to stuff all my mange in the then empty shelves once occupied by the tapes (before, they had been stacked in random places in my room). I was also able to move all the DVDs I had collected over time - not DBZ/GT related - into another shelf. A small collection compared to the manga but I plan to buy the movies I had on VHS that I really liked on DVD. Anyway, it was just last week and it was nice. The sun was out of sight the whole day through~! X3 And it was nice and cool to make things even better! Ever since then, the sun has been out () and it's been windy. Thankfully, it hasn't been as hot as it was earlier this month so the sun is only the lesser of two evils in this instance.

There were some promising clouds that passed over yesterday but they all headed south and didn't shed a drop here. TT_TT Oh well...

Onto other things, as I may or may not have said before, my summer hasn't been all that great. I've only managed to get away and do things with friends a handful of times for a few days but other than that, I've been stuck babysitting as if that's what I live for when I'm at home on MY summer vacation.

Don't get me wrong, it's not like those times I did get to escape weren't worth it. Cuz believe you me, they were. Most surprising of all was when I went on an outing with my mom, her husband and my sister one Saturday. They usually never ask me to do things (granted half the things they do is done before dawn and I am certainly not a morning person... >:V).

It was nice to get out of the house for the day and go out into the mountains for a small picnic and occasionally scout for elk or some other type of wildlife. *contented sigh* We didn't see any elk but we did see a doe off to the side of the road. She stayed in view for a few minutes before prancing off into the woods.

After wasting time in the mountains for a few hours, we went into town to attempt shopping for my sister's new school year. Boy, was that a mess! >< Complete and utter madhouse! Especially since it was tax free weekend. Everyone and their grandma was in the stores tearing up the shelves like wrapping paper! We found a few things there but then decided it might be better to shop for stuff at the stores much closer to home. It wasn't really but my mom was satisfied and bought clothes so eh. I, myself, bought shoes. :3

I would have been shopping for school sturf but, unfortunately, earlier this month I was left with little choice but to withdraw from my college. It was costing far too much for me to remain there and asking for financial help from my family all the time just didn't feel right. Not to mention the only federal help I was getting wasn't nearly enough to cover any of my fees. Might as well have given me a penny to pay off a $1000 debt. Okay, maybe it wasn't that bad but in the time I had to get as much as they said I owed, it was just unheard of.

My plan is to get a decent job in my time away from school so I can earn enough to pay my own way. Or at least, enough of my own way so as not to become practically robbed and have to ask my family constantly for help. TToTT The college I plan to go to next is much cheaper and a couple of friends I know say they'll let me stay with them. Plus, it's better for my major. So yeah, I'll be busy job hunting and such... >3>

*plays peaceful nature-esque music* Ah, the weather. Mother Nature's show of power or beauty. However you want to look at it. *sound of a record screeching* But enough about that, the weather here has been absolutely dull. Okay, June was way more eventful because there was practically a thunderstorm or a chance of one everyday if not every other day. But come the end of June and into July, it's just been hot and there has been nary a cloud in the sky. Most of the time... *reads over what she just typed* ....Did I just say 'nary?

Don't remember much of what the rest of May was like so we'll stick to the overall weather being either wet and rainy or hot and sunny. Thus ends this edition of, 'Vegerot's Journaly Rant on the Weather'!

Well, this summer has been far less than what can ever be called eventful... Mostly due to my mom having me babysit my sister practically the whole of the summer since my aunt refused to watch her this year. Lucky me...

However, I've managed to get away on a few occasions by some strokes of luck and have therefore been able to go celebrity hunting with a few friends of mine. We went looking for Hugh Jackman since he was filming a movie in my hometown along with a few other celebs~ Sadly, we didn't spot him anywhere but we were able to enjoy a leisurely walk down a peaceful street. I even got to pet a cute kitty who was under a mailbox! X3 I almost took her home with me...

Also was able to see TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN! It was AWESOME! Didn't have the opportunity to see the midnight premiere like the one before but it was still kick-ass. And epic. Whoo, for giant robots!

I'll be gone a few days starting this coming Monday. Well, gone from my home as I'm going to visit a friend out of town. I'll still try to check in here if I can. I'll also be trying to draw and upload a few more pics before summer's end. Man, I hated saying that....

Might be able to get away for a few more days but hopefully not too much cuz my mom agreed to pay me for the time I put in for babysitting. Miraculously...

April was still pretty eventful. Especially when you factor in all the random snowstorms that popped up out of nowhere. Had me worried I would get stranded back at home and not be able to return to school. Not that not going to school would've bothered me but considering I had never missed a class before, the one time I would, I'd probably miss something important. Such is my luck.

Thankfully, I was able to get back to school and all was right. Until the weather took a turn for the worse when April soon became May. Man has it been hot.... It was over 100' when I was coming back home yesterday. @__@ Lucky for me, the temperature steadily went down a good 20 degrees by the time I returned to my hometown.

First weekend of summer break and it got cloudy. I had hoped it would rain cuz that would be a really nice change from all the heat and ickiness but no... Just got cloudy and cleared up without so much as a drop.

Oh well, got the whole summer for some real thunderstorms! And thus ends, 'Vegerot's Journaly Rant on the Weather'!

As mentioned above, I am FINALLY on my summer vacation! It's great to be back home again. I get to eat real food, sleep in my own bed and not have to worry about doing any homework. Such relief... Packing all my stuff that was in my dorm was a major pain tho. Thank goodness my mom has such a large truck...

All there is for me to do is check up on my final grades. Hopefully I passed all my classes... >> Worries me. So far (or as far as I've bothered to look), I have one grade and that's from my English class. I got a B but it's passing so I don't care anymore.

Finals week sucked for me. I had three finals to deal with on Monday and I had to wait till Friday to take my last one. I had nothing to do but pack the rest of the week.

Here's hoping I passed all my exams...

Already laid out my schedule for next semester and was lucky enough to get into a few classes with my friends so that's awesome. Got Drawing I, Western Civ (with an unknown teacher >>, Psychology, Math 129 and Art History something. Oh the curses of having art studio as my major and the core curriculum that goes with it...

Also renewed my housing. Living in the dorms again and surprisingly, I got to renew before most everyone else. That's due in part to my school's stupid program that messed itself up and allowed half the campus to renew and the other half to well.... not. The half that couldn't included a couple of my friends. Went with them to the housing people to see what was going on and they were supposedly going to drop the people that managed to renew off the list so everyone could renew at the same time. Well, that didn't happen cuz my application still read that it was completed on the 6th. My friends got to renew this past Monday.

And now we open with another exciting, 'Vegerot's Journaly Rant on the Weather'!

The weather has just been crazy lately. It can't decide what it wants to do. A whole week could go on being nice, warm and sunny, just as spring should be and then WHAM! miscellaneous spots all around get slammed with snowstorms and roadblocks. Always with me being on the wrong side of said roadblocks preventing me from going home. :<

The worst weather we've had here near my school since the last entry was maybe half a day of snow showers. Tiny flakes too. Whereas, my home got over an inch or so. I never saw whether there would be six more weeks of winter or not but it still shouldn't be as cold as it's been. The wind has just been absolutely killer as of late too. The cold dry air has been seriously drying out the skin on my hands and face. ><

During the days (or most days), it can be hot as all hell outside but the nights will still hold that winter chill. And being the smart person I am, I left my pullover at home and have had to make due with my hoodless sweatshirt... I need to bring my gloves with me next time I go home. IF I get home anytime soon...

I have a backup sweater, but I left that at my friends' apartment on Saturday...

I don't really remember much. It's been too long. XD

But I can talk about some events that have happened most recently since that's the easiest bit I can remember at the moment.

First off, the one weekend I did get to come home, which was the weekend before my Spring Break started, was very relaxing. I got to sleep in and best of all I had the house to myself a good portion of the time. YAY for sleeping! 8D

However, my little black cat Vegito (Like you didn't see that coming... ), injured himself when he came back home from one of his little escapades... (He tends to get out through his mysterious kitty ways. ) I freaked cuz I thought he had broken it or something and his paw pads on the back of his kitty arm were torn up and bloody... Which only made me freak more. Good thing it wasn't as bad as my panicked mind had originally thought.

He limped around the house for a bit then finally completely passed out from exhaustion on my bed and there he stayed until I left to come back to school later that day.... Over the course of the week, my mom kept me somewhat updated to tell me how he was doing. She said he seemed fine because he was moving around without problems and stuff so we concluded that he must've jumped off something really high and twisted his paw somehow. I'm glad he's fine tho. I had just wanted to be able to go home and see for myself.

Aside from my pet scare, I got to hang out with a friend of mine and we basically just drove around to random places to keep ourselves occupied because there really is very little to do in my hometown. You've been to one place and done everything there once, the chances of something changing is very unlikely. Onto the weather in everyone's favorite 'Vegerot's Journaly Rant on the Weather'! Okay, to be honest, I haven't been paying that much attention to the weather lately so... yeah. I probably won't have much to say here.

However, within the last... 6 and a half hours or so, I realized that I hadn't looked at the weather forecast in well over a month and decided to redeem myself and flip to the good ol' WC. 8D Sadly, they had nothing to report for my section of the world. Or at least, nothing exciting. It's supposed to be relatively cold and sunny all week long. Boring...

Good news is that I can now combat the sunlight with a pair of sunglasses that mysteriously appeared in my room... The room at home, not my dorm. That would be creepy. :frightened: So whoo for mysterious sunglasses! The cold is another story tho. I can put my sweater on in the morning for my 9 and 10 o'clock classes but usually around noon is when it warms up and it's a pullover which is annoying cuz it leaves me fixing my hair. Course I haven't put my sweater on before those classes and have instead been putting it on when I come back to my dorm for my 11 o'clock break before class at noon. I might have to put on my _sweater ^tho _because~ *continues rambling senselessly to herself*

In other news, the second half of my first year of college is off to a pretty slow start but not slow enough for me to not be behind in math homework... I was so lazy last week. I'm going to try getting caught up before the end of this week and hopefully not slack off again. Our professor can't check the homework but in order to do well on quizzes and exams you kinda have to know what the hell you're doing so yeah... Gotta do homework.

My other classes, on the other hand are going all right. Have my first writing assignment for English 102 due tomorrow morning and I got that done with ease. Tho I forgot about it until about 2 this afternoon... Taking an easy biology class or at least seemingly easy. Our professor is hilarious tho and that's why I like the class! X'D Since our class is so huge, we have to use these electronic things called iClickers so we can answer questions on in-class quizzes. The grades go directly to our online records. They aren't cheap tho... >> Neither is the book but the good thing is that we don't have to carry those behemoths with us all the time.

The before Christmas snow has almost completely melted away and whether that makes way for another storm is beyond me. It's been relatively clear and the only thing that has changed at all is the temperature. It cold be freeze your butt cold one day and then tolerable the next.

And leaving 2008's many weather-filled journals aside paves the way for a whole new year of even more weathery goodness! Fare thee well, 2008!

Though I have several more hours before 2008's final send-off, I just thought I'd put in one last journal before then and as lengthy as they tend to get, I figured I'd start early.

First, let's talk about Christmas! The day before Christmas, I received a phone call from my friends saying they were in town and were coming by to give me my gift. Ten minutes later, they arrived and I went out to meet them. It was then I got a huge load of DBZ action figures! Really awesome ones! Thank youz so much again~

Christmas Eve resulted in me watching all those Christmas classics that I love so much. :3 As well as a surprise visit from my mom, her boyfriend and my sister on their round trip to give out presents. From them I received a new pair of pants (as only three other pairs of mine are completely hole-less), a 2009 calendar with funny quotes from one of my favorite comedians and a $50 gift certificate to Best Buy!

My uncle gave me a Transformers calendar as well which I plan to hang in my dull dorm room in an effort to make it less dull. I also received a bit more money from my grandfather and my great aunt. Most of which will go to me purchasing a tablet as that was my Christmas wish that wasn't fulfilled. Actually, the only Christmas wish. Oh well. And finally, I got a new sweater from a cousin and just today received more money from my aunt.

With all the holiday mess dying down as everyone gears up for the new year, I've been passing my time playing all my neglected video games due to college stoof. I've made great progress so far! I think I'm almost done with one as a matter of fact.

A friend who goes to college way out of state contacted me today and asked if I'd like to hang out as she's only in town for one more week before she has to go back. So, tomorrow I'll be getting out a bit. Doing what, I'm not sure but we'll see.

The rest of the outlook for my holiday is probably just to relax and get as much done in not thinking as possible before I have to start.... re-thinking. One more semester and then it's summer break! Wish me luck in surviving it! I'll sure need as much as I can get...

My last week and one day at school marked the end of this semester for me and I couldn't be more relieved! I stayed over the weekend in my dorm because I only had my last final exams to go to on Monday and going back home and coming back for that one day seemed kinda stupid, so yeah. But over that weekend, it snowed! And it was cold! And I stepped in a puddle of ice-cold water and it seeped into my boots!

So even if I had planned on going home, it wouldn't have been very safe to do so because of slick, wet roads. Safe to say that we might actually get a white Christmas this year! Unless it all clears out by then, which I wouldn't be surprised in the least if it did.

Talking about the days I've been back at home and therefore not school, it's been snowing for a good while. Where the city where my school is located was just a bunch of wet roads and tiny snowflakes, back home, everything was covered with at least a 2 and a 1/2 inch layer of snow. Traveling into town, the roads were already hard with ice.

The only time it actually stopped snowing was all of yesterday when the sun came out, although, that only paved the way for today's snowstorm. It doesn't look that ugly yet and even less so that I can see a few rays of sunshine, but we're under a winter storm warning so something still has the potential of happening.

It was raining this morning and awhile ago it was snowing a little but right now, nothing's falling from the sky. Guess we'll see what happens.

Now that the first semester of college has come and gone, I can now take a break from thinking... And also wait to see how well I did on my exams. If I pass, I get lottery money to pay for my tuition costs. If I don't, well, yeah... Let's not think about that. >>

It's also quite interesting to note that my roommate had hardly been in the dorm at all for the past two and a half weeks. Why that is, I'm not entirely sure but that just means I pretty much got the room to myself and I liked it! Course, she was never really in there much to begin with but she would at least spend the night there and then I'd never see her again for at least 12 hours. But recently I wouldn't see her all day and the times I would, she'd only be in there for 2-3 minutes. Suspicions are that she's got a new boyfriend. Dunno, none of my business.

Anyway, not only was I busy most of last week preparing for the bulk of my finals but I was also busy over the weekend. No rest I tells you! The perk about being stuck at school over the weekend tho was that I could go hang out with my awesome friends at their apartment! I didn't have to suffer the curse of homework alone! Best thing is that their internet kicks the internet at college's ass. Time for another fun-filled edition of, 'Vegerot's Journaly Rant on the Weather'! Got snow this passed week!

It was really awesome when I was home for the Thanksgiving holiday and it started snowing! It started off as a rainy Turkey Day but then it got cold enough to become sleet then finally snow! It started coming down pretty hard too, however, it was all short-lived. I got a little uneasy cuz I was afraid it would be like that for the rest of the time I was back home... If it snows bad enough, they'll close the highway and I'll get stuck at home and since my college is nowhere nearby my home, that would be very, very bad... Hopefully, the weather saves snow for my Christmas holiday!

Other than the snow, it's been pretty clear and nice considering it's officially winter now. It hasn't even been all that cold. It's actually in temperatures I can handle without a jacket, which is pretty kick ass if I do say so myself. Not even the nights have been that cold.... unless you stand out there for like ten minutes that is.

Today is supposed to be at least five degrees cooler according to the weather forecast but they've yet to be 100% right or even 70% right so I'm pretty sure it won't be so bad. If it is, I'll be prepared for it!

Happy Belated Thanksgiving to all, even if you don't celebrate it! ^^ Mine was slightly different from all of my previous ones.... I think. I don't remember who's house I was at last year.... OH! I remember now! I was at my mom's boyfriend's parents' place! (Yes, I've realized it's confusing.) This year, we were at my mom's boyfriend's brother's place and I got to play with the most adorable puppy EVER! She's soooo cute and she's so tiny! X3 She's a Dachshund-Blue heeler mix so she has really tiny legs, a long body and cute floppy ears but she has the fur color of a blue heeler. I'm such a sucker for baby animals...

But aside from the irresistible cuteness that is the puppy, there was also lots of good food! Didn't eat as much as I thought I would but what I did eat was worth it! The day before, I had also gotten food that wasn't made by our cafeteria! It was so awesome! There was an actual line to get seconds, it was funny! XD

The rest of my holiday was full of doing homework... I hate that. I swear, no one believes in a work-free holiday. What's up with that? Good thing is I managed to get a good lot of it done, well, the bit that was due the Monday after the holiday was over, anyway. Now I just gotta worry about all the other crap I have to do before the end of the semester. I'm going insane! *cough*

Now onto, 'Vegerot's Journaly Rant on the Weather'! Well, Monday this past week was pretty nice... then Tuesday and the whole week after came along and froze everything over! Okay, first day was cold but I didn't know just how cold until I stepped outside. Darn near froze my face off! And it was windy to top it all off! Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to run back up to my dorm room to grab a sweater so I suffered for a bit.

Then Wednesday was fun too because I remembered that I'd need a sweater buuuut forgot to grab one before I left. So I froze again for at least half the day. Sucked too cuz I stood outside for a good twenty minutes with just a T-shirt and jeans that quickly became just as frigid as the wind.... >>

Remembered my sweater both Thursday and Friday so I didn't suffer too badly those days. However, Thursday, as my mother reported to me, it snowed back at home and where a friend of mine goes to school as well. Which I personally don't really mind because if it's not fun walking in the cold and wind, I only shudder to think of being forced to walk in the cold, wind AND snow.... I'll have to remember to pack my boots along with me for this week.

The weather back at home is twice as unbearable with my huge electric blanket on the fritz. Go figure. It worked just fine last week when I plugged it in... Luckily, I have a mini electric blanket that at least warms up my bed enough so I don't freeze and my heater helps a lot too. I also got a heating pad for extra warmth.

Well then. I think I've blabbed enough about the weather now. So ends, 'Vegerot's Journaly Rant on the Weather'!

So Halloween has come and gone once again and I... didn't really do anything special. Just like every year. Donned my Gogeta costume again but there was nowhere for me to go for the whole of the day so it was pretty much a waste. Which is sad because I purchased hair dye and a wig this time around!

I would've worn it during my classes but how non-distracting is bright red hair? Plus with big winter boots, a thermal vest, a brown sweater and pants, I would've surely overheated. This is before all the freezing cold weather crept up out of nowhere, obviously...

Finished that paper that was giving me a heartattack during the time I wrote the last entry. Dunno how I did on it but I was going for points and hopefully didn't fail miserably at it... I hope I at least did better on this one as opposed to the last one.

I finished that project as well and got perfect marks on it!

Now comes my final paper for my art class and my final project for my reading class. There's also the matter of my final writing assignments in English as well. Okay so, last Tuesday the unthinkable happened.... Well, it's not that unthinkable anymore, I guess. ANYway, it rained! Almost all freakin' day and it was cold out! I mean, that night I could see my breath (and proceeded to pretend I was smoking XD)!

Course it all cleared up by the following day and it's been pretty dry ever since, even back home. The morning's are a bit brisk but not unbearable. This all coming from someone who would stand outside in the same place even if it was snowing and everyone else was inside.

Allegedly, it's supposed to be pretty clear all week. Again, back at home but if it's clear there, chances are it's gonna be clear here too. I'm pretty prepared for it either way so .

This appears to conclude this edition of, 'Vegerot's Journaly Rant on the Weather'!

Onto other things, last week was midterm week and lucky me I got off with only having to take 2 tests out of the five classes I have. One in Algebra and one in Japanese, the latter being much more difficult than the former if you can believe it....

However, I feel pretty confident that I didn't do so badly. After all, our teacher told us that if we understood everything that was on the review sheet she had given us, we should be okay on the exam. As for Algebra, it wasn't a midterm exam, it was just a chapter review exam thing. I feel I did pretty well on that one as well. *s she did*

My other classes are just being major pains in the arse! I have a three to five page paper to write for my art history class and I haven't exactly had all the time in the world to even glance at that and it's due in about two weeks time. *shall totally get to work on that this week and the next*

My "reading" class - don't ask - has a project due by the end of this week and I had to work my hand off this weekend (namely yesterday) to get a good start on that as midterms were, as they tend to, freak me out! But now that those are over, my mind can focus on those tasks at hand. I have two steps left on said project. :3

English is a thorn in my side as well with its tedious "small writing assignments" one of which was due this past Friday (a day off) and was to be emailed. Being the baka that I can be sometimes, I write my paper all happy and then forget to email the darn thing until an hour after the deadline that would prevent me from losing points on it!

Hello and welcome to another fun filled edition of, 'Vegerot's Journaly Rant on the Weather'! Well, this weekend was rather interesting. I didn't get home from my dorm until a least 9:30 p.m. Friday but when I do get home it's cloudy as hell. Ah, home sweet home~

It rains all day Saturday and all night as well. It's a nice transition from no rain at all where I spend most of my time but since I've been away from home for so long, I can't handle the cold up there as easily as I used to. I was wearing sweatpants and thick socks the entire time I was home!

And to top it all off, I come back to my dorm not too long ago, only to find that it actually rained here! There goes my theory about the invisible force field... >>

Quite a storm on the journey back. It was hailing when we left the house. Nothing too major, just little pea-sized stones but they sting when they hit your skin. Don't think I'll be seeing anymore moisture while I'm here for another fun week of college, tho. The weather likes to play some sick game of tag with me when I'm here.

Okay, aside from the weird weather we encountered on the way back down to my college, we were driving along, going at a nice pace when I realize that I forgot my phone charger. So, we had to run all the way back to my house(which thankfully wasn't that far) to grab it then hit the road again. I then realize that I have no lip balm or lip gloss...

We didn't turn back for that cuz I figure I can just buy one but I hate forgetting my lip gloss because my lips get chapped so fast... DX They're actually getting a little dry now. :C

Another interesting thing that happened to me this weekend was that I was messing around with my music downloader thingy, not LimeWire cuz it makes me mad, but one called Ares which I find works better. So I was playing with that then I opened up RealPlayer (hope some of you know what I'm talking about) and hooked up my iPod to my computer so I can put some more songs on it. Then I opened up iTunes and here's where it gets interesting...

I did what I had to do on iTunes then went back to the RealPlayer window and it tells me that in order to continue operations there, I have to close down iTunes. I click 'OK' and it deletes EVERYTHING on my iPod! EVERYTHING! I was so MAD!

So, I stayed up half the night putting EVERYTHING back. I tell you, it's times like that I'm really glad I don't have a 30GB iPod... =__=

All is well, now! Perhaps even better, so I guess it was somewhat worth it.

And that was my exciting Saturday night/Sunday morning! >_O

So, here I am back at my dorm as my roommate and a friend of hers study. I'm supposed to be going to hang out with a friend of mine later on so I thought I'd use this time to write up a new journal as I had previously told ~Saiya-bridge I was planning to do so. And I got a free cookie!

Once again, it's time for, 'Vegerot's Journaly Rant on the Weather'! Well, this passed week was really no different from the last report. Still hot. Well, except for yesterday which was actually cloudy and not hot! However, it seems autumn is beginning to make its presence known cuz it's also getting a smidge colder at night, as well. I'm good with that, however, because the comforter on my dorm bed it nice and fluffy and warm~ |3

But the sad thing is that, back in my hometown, my browser-weather thingy says it's been raining practically every DAY! Cool stuff always happens when I leave a place! ALWAYS! So naturally, with the added moisture, it's nice and cool down here. Just the way I like it. But I only get to enjoy two days out of the week of it, unless I have no school for whatever reason. Go figure.

That seems to wrap up this, 'Vegerot's Journaly Rant on the Weather!'

Well, most interesting things first; today is my birthday! Feeling slightly old but meh, I'll get over it. Now, I must endure the semi-temporary period of having to pause and think about how old I am when people ask me. Happens every year.

My mom sent me a text at 7 in the morning (which is about an hour earlier than I had my alarm set to go off but eh) asking me what I'd like to do. I replied, telling her that I'd like to go out to Olive Garden for dinner! Gotta love them breadsticks!

So yeah, that's where I just came from a little while ago. It was just me, my mom, my sister and my aunt. My grandfather didn't want to come and my father couldn't make it for some reason. Well, it was nice, nonetheless. We all had lasagna. Well, all cept my sister who had mac n' cheese. So good! Mm~ Stuffed myself with the lasagna, salad and breadsticks!

Got few but good presents from people too. My friends gave me a Vegeta action figure (the humorous one from GT, no mustache, tho that would be twice as humorous XD) and a Pan action figure! They were also going to get me an SSJ4 Goku action figure but they thought I had it already but all I really have are SSJ4 Gogeta action figures. So they said they'd try to get it for me. =3 Thankies!

Also got some money which is very helpful cuz I'm a poor college student... >>

Monetary stuff still concerns me but panicking is making me suffer and there's barely much I can do about it. I'd get an on-campus job but I have little time as it is to do anything else so .

Something will come up to help us along eventually. What or when that will be is anyone's guess. Just wait and see, I suppose.

But I do... >>; It started sprinkling earlier today and that got me hoping we'd get relief from the scorching heat but I don't know where those clouds disappeared to.

So basically, it's been pretty damn sunny all week. And that concludes this edition of 'Vegerot's Journaly Rant on the Weather'!

Wow, that was a less than happy-sounding weather report. The heat does annoy me, though, so meh.

This passed Saturday, I got spend some time with friends before school started and we went to the zoo! We stopped by a few exhibits and made random commentary for the animals. It was funny. We spent twenty minutes or so looking at a toad that appeared to be trying to get into an exhibit. Poor thing. Luckily, it was in the shade. After the zoo, we went to the Museum of Natural History. I haven't been to either place in years. The zoo didn't change much but the museum sure did.

They moved tons of things around. They have this simulation machine where you have a picture of Earth and then several little separate screens that show an asteroid. You press the buttons and then well, basically you get to destroy Earth. Or rather, the dinosaurs. We made commentary for that too. I swear, I only meant to take over the world, not destroy it.

So yes. After most people have graduated from high school they go off to college. Here I am in my area's university. It's a friggin' huge campus. If you don't watch it, you'll get lost easy. @_@ Almost did a couple of times but luckily I was able to get a little tour from my friend and her mom, plus I acquired a map!

And the first day for me was......less than happy. I was horribly pissed off from moving in the very day before class started and then being homesick was no help either. I was a very sad panda that whole day... It took all I had to stop from breaking down and crying. Crying myself to sleep the night before made me look awful to top it all off. My eyes were all red and puffy...

I have a roommate and she's pretty cool. She wasn't there the day before class started so I was free to let my frustrations go without having to be bothered. I've never been away from home in almost ten years so it was hard for me to adjust but somehow I managed to after the first day of class and I've been fine since then. The week's almost through and I'll get to go home and resupply myself with things I didn't bring - which was a lot.

My dorm room is pretty big. There are two walk-in closets and two sets or drawers and above the drawers there's a counter that has a mirror. There's a mirror on the door and two desk areas. There are shelves above the desks and powerful lights just above the desks and under the shelves. There are more shelves between both desk areas. Features include mini fridges but you have to rent those. Well, it's been considerably wet and nice lately. Thunderstorms almost everyday for a good three or four weeks! I the rain! We had a real good thunderstorm the other day. So awesome! Scared the hell out of me a few times tho...

Got some heavy rain today but it didn't turn out nearly half as bad as the Weather Channel made it seem. It didn't last as long as I thought it would. I was disappointed... TT_TT Ah, well.

More rain expected tomorrow and indeed for the whole of this coming week. YAY! Currently cloudy but nothing that looks like it will produce anything like earlier today. But I've been wrong before.

So yes, on with the title of this week/month's journal. Yesterday evening around ten o'clock, a group of friends and I went to await the entrance into the theater for the midnight premiere of the Dark Knight! FREAKING AWESOME MOVIE! Heath Ledger plays the role of the Joker very well! Very well indeed!

The movie as a whole is well worth the almost three hours that it spans. I totally recommend this movie to anyone who's a fan of Batman, loves tons of action (explosions... ), loves the Joker ( ) and I will spoil nothing more. _{"You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain."}

I was so pumped after that movie! X3 The book I'm reading called Batman: Gotham Knight is a very good book! It's sort of an in-between story for the first Batman movie (Batman Begins) and the Dark Knight. Something else I recommend to you if you're interested.

While we were at the theater waiting for them to let us in, there were tons of people who had dressed up for the premiere. There were Jokers everywhere, Batmen too. There was also a very well done Two Face costume! There was Scarecrow and only one Robin that I could see. And of course, most people that didn't dress up, wore Batman shirts or Joker shirts. I had neither... But that shall surely change!

I don't think I have much else to talk about. I'll be gone for most of the day tomorrow and I'll be leaving early so I won't get to upload Chapter 10 of my fic until I return. Sorry. I hope you guys are liking it. It's been relatively cool lately as rain has been promised for all of this passed week and I believe all (or almost all) of this coming week. So that means mid to high 70 degree temperatures! And though it might not have rained as often as promised, the fact that there has been enough cloud cover to prevent the harsh rays of the sun from glaring down from the sky is good enough for me. |3

And coupled with the clouds and rain is wind. Ah, the wind. It's much more refreshing when it's not blowing hot air.

I've fallen drastically behind on viewing and commenting on deviations. Those days that I missed about two weeks ago sorta discouraged me from going near them most of the time....>>; I dearly apologize. I really do... I can't promise I'll get to them all but I'll try and get to most of them. In the meantime, bear with me.

I have done something exciting! I have created greatness! Not here but I've still created greatness. I finished my idea for my first AMV that I had put on hold for.....a long ass time. And yes, so last I left you, I had recently graduated. Well, now I'm in summer mode: Lazing about and trying not to worry about anything, trying to get back into finding things to watch on daytime television, not sleeping for a good portion of the night then sleeping most of the next day....that sort of thing. But this summer is a wee bit different. I have to now worry about paying to get a dorm, *shudder* vaccinations, getting the required things I'll need before going off for college life. It's all so...EVIL!

Luckily, I have friends who already know all the tricks. Or at least most of them.

Hrm, the mood thingy on the journals doesn't seem to be working right now. Everyone seems to have had the same problem. Well, I guess the whole YouTube vid thing could be something to be triumphant about.

As for the lack of deviations on my part....*coughs* Something will come up. Eventually.... *coughs* *runs off*

*grabs those little microphones that people on T.V. use and talks in a loud, announcer-esque voice* It's that time again! Time for another rousing, 'Vegerot's Journaly Rant on the Weather'! Not much more interesting things to report this week as it's only been a few days but still, a lot can happen in a few days! Had a few showers recently, bringing clouds, lots of wind and...another twister!

I have no report on where said twister actually touched down but large hail and strong winds were noticeable in most parts of the state! One account reported seeing the bulk of the storm passing by and also mentioned rotating clouds but all that was soon followed by rather large hailstones that caused minimal damage to vehicles. None such weather in my neck of the woods, however. Just a lot of wind and afternoon showers.

That being said, this shower spared my graduation rehearsal by a long-shot! * * I had heard that today would be different but there was only a light breeze which staved off the, what would be, boiling heat! It was mildly cloudy as well, which was beneficial for keeping the sun out of peoples' eyes. Right now, it is a bit breezy and the heat has made it return with a vengeance! x.X

Soooooo, very, very, VERY exciting thing that happened to me today....I GRADUATED! X3 Yes, that's right! No more will I have to endure the stupidity that was my high school! No more will I have to endure their horrible inconsistency when it came to rules, policies or principals! I'M FREE!

I feel so accomplished! I don't really think it's completely sunk in yet, though. It kept dawning on me several times throughout the day. Let me lay out the scenario for you: Woke up at 5:00 a.m., got dressed, got my gown ready and my cap, messed with the stupid collar that came with the gown that could only be held in place by crappy STICKERS! ><;

Arrived at school as I had to be there at 6:45 a.m., walked into the gym where we were told to meet but were abruptly shooed out of there and put out to the foyer ( ) where we stood around in an organized mess for about half an hour. After that, they pushed us all outside where we stood for an hour and did nothing until they told us to line up alphabetically and then ten minutes later told us to line up alphabetically but with girls on one side and boys on the other! We organize ourselves and then we all wait patiently so we can get searched for cell phones, cameras, blow-up beach balls, blow-up flamingos, blow-up fish and blow-up monkeys. Or anything of the blow-up nature.

Well....they didn't search thoroughly enough cuz there were balls, and monkeys, and fish and flamingos and I think even a Superman.... Almost got attacked by several of them. >>; A couple of teachers and students fell in the grass diving for the stupid things. In the middle of presenting diplomas, no less!

Well, even in all that random hilarity, I got to walk up and get my diploma or as like to call it, my "ticket to freedom". Another cool thing happened though, turns out I was still in the top ten percent of my class and to signify that, I got a special red tassel! Kept hitting me in the face just like my other tassel but the little '08s jingled when they knocked together and that amused me greatly! And, as always, it's once again time for, 'Vegerot's Journaly Rant on the Weather'! There's actually something more exciting to report this time! So, yeah, last journal I talked about the extreme lameness that is sun and clear skies, well, this week I can talk about cloudy skies, wind and RAIN!

We've had a few refreshing showers recently, today included. And today gave us the most moisture so far. On and off showers here and there but it was a nice change. Last week, however, we had another thunderstorm in the area that struck around 11 o'clock at night which was miraculously when I decided to go to bed. I don't think it actually started doing anything that was noticeable, though, until I woke up at around 3:30 in the morning.

At that time, I could see the lightning flash outside my window followed by low rumbles of thunder. It got progressively louder and I feared not being able to go back to sleep but it turns out I had no problems at all!

Today hasn't been quite as eventful but we did get a short burst of hail earlier this afternoon and that was interesting. ^^ From the temperatures that have been the norm for a great majority of the week, (up in the high 80's to low 90's ) today was down in the low 50's. Talk about a difference. Personally, I like it that way. Wind and all cuz lately the days have been miserable because there was no wind to cool the horrid hot air....

Kinda bad when I've been living a desert climate my whole life and can't handle it's temperatures. Oh well. And I believe that's all I have to say weather-wise which concludes another of, 'Vegerot's Journaly Rant on the Weather'!

Onto what I'm going to *ahem* blather about, yesterday was my official day of school! YAY! But hold your horses. *crickets* I'm not necessarily free from my *cough* wonderful school. Not until next week which I shall blather about all that mess when the time comes. But since I'm a senior, this week was my week to stop giving a crap! XD

Took all my finals, most of them not in normal final form. You know, tests that make you remember what you did forever and a day ago. Yeah, only....two of those were like that (German 3 and Forensics) but thankfully they didn't go as far back as the first semester. Just the last semester. Reviewed the night before for both tests and whizzed through them like a hot knife through butter which I was happy about! X3 The other finals, for my Government, English and Web Develpment II classes, those weren't your average finals.

Monday, I had to make my English presentation on the book Lord of the Flies. By the way, horrible book. No offense to anyone that actually enjoys it. So, yeah, that was easy. Had six other people in my group and all of them did a pretty good job of contributing.

Also on Monday for my first period in Web Development II, all I had to do was clean up my workspace, save any files that I wanted to keep and sign the wall of my teacher's office. Yeah, she has her seniors sign her wall so she can remember us. Shame she'll have to paint over them someday.

But I'll explain later with my ability to ramble about stuff!

And to start it all off, we of course have, "Vegerot's Journaly Rant on the Weather"! In today's rant, the weather has been fairly pleasant as spring has finally sprung. The sun is shining, the birds are singing...BORING! Much less eventful than last month. That is, if you count last week from Wednesday through Friday when it randomly started snowing. It was supposed to rain Wednesday into Thursday but those three days got cold enough to freeze the rain.

First two days, just flurries but come Friday, it snowed from at least 5:30 p.m. into the next morning. Most of it melted before I woke up to go do my shelter duty but interesting nonetheless. Oh, that weather and it's spontaneity! XD

As for this week, still warm and also pretty windy. Actually, very windy. Right now is particularly bad. And tomorrow it's supposed to snow/rain again. But despited the wind, I wore shorts today. It felt a bit strange not wearing pants after wearing them for so long but it was nice to have a change. Figures I'll have to wear pants again tomorrow.

Temperature-wise, as you can probably guess has reached to below freezing for awhile but this week has been mostly up in the high 60's. Actually, I think Monday was somewhere up in the 80s.

That appears to be all the excitement that I have to report atm. So, that concludes another "Vegerot's Journaly Rant on the Weather"!

In the week that I was off for Spring Break, * about having to return to school* I rediscovered how amusing "Ninja Warrior" is! It's just to funny! It's amazing how hard some of those people train for this competition but with those obstacles, I don't blame them. It looks like so much fun but with my luck and my uncooperative coordination, I would trip on air and fall off a platform or something. XP

There's also another show that just blows my mind called "Unbeatable Banzuke". These competitions are even harder than the "Ninja Warrior's"! There's one where people have to go through three (I think) different areas where they walk on their hands the whole way! They have little safe spaces where they can recover themselves but it's crazy.

I recommend watching these shows if you haven't already. They're on G4 on weekday evenings. It's also pretty cool because Dave Wittenburg, Kakashi's American VA is the announcer! X3 I didn't snap to it at first but I knew in the back of my head that the voice sounded familiar.

Also, about the whole "animal shelter" thing. It's not so bad. I get to deal with more animals than I do people and all I have to do is pet the cats and talk to them and brush them and basically get them used to being around people. I love kitties~

There's one there that I want to adopt but I don't know if my grandpa will let me. It's mostly cuz he said if I wanted to have another cat, I'd have to get rid of Misty and I don't want to. The other thing is that last Saturday, his gf (sounds weird but they're around the same age so meh. ) convinced him to adopt a chihuahua. He's so cute! In today's report, well let's just say that the weather has no idea what the hell it wants to do. We had two weeks of sunshine and it was nice (so nice, I didn't need to wear my sweater all day) and warm outside. Then the clouds rolled in and we had a freak snow storm that canceled school the following day ( ) and snowed for the entirety of that day and partly into the next morning. Not enough to get me a two-hour delay, sadly, but I had my day off as was my wish.

This past week, however, has been fairly unpleasant. Not only was Daylight Savings on Sunday, screwing up my extra hour of sleep and therefore leaving me to go to sleep at about two in the morning ( <= rant within a rant ), but the wind has been terrible! @.@ Seriously, right now it's really nice temperature wise. It's 58' F outside but the windchill automatically takes it down to the low 50's. And it's blowing to at least 20 mph. Dirt doesn't taste good....>>;

So yes, thus has been the crazy weather occurrences in my neck of the woods! This will conclude another 'Vegerot's Journaly Rant on the Weather'! Wow, an update within the same month?! MADNESS!

Now then, onto other fun and amusing things. I have come into the possession of SSBB (or Super Smash Bros. Brawl for those who are not yet savvy with this abbreviation) and also a PSP! I have been searching since before Christmas for a PSP and I finally got one! I bought it out of desperation so I have no games yet. *spent all money on SSBB and PSP in one go * But I shall get some!

SSBB is awesomely FUN! The "B" button annoys me tho because you have to press it and "A" at the same time in oder to put up your shield and I always end up taking too much damage because it's hard to pull off in action. But I don't care, it's still fun! 8D My left thumb is pretty sore because I'll admit it, I'm a button masher. XD Plus, the old injury in my right thumb is a tad sore too cuz I hold the Wiimote so tight! I'm fine tho. ^^ *ponders what games to purchase for PSP*

Also, as of Wednesday evening, I purchased Dracula: Dead and Loving It online for a quarter! You heard me right, a QUARTER! I should be getting it by next week at some point. I that movie!

And for today's update (which covers over a month to the present day ) we have lots of clouds and some wind with a temp of 45' F. It's supposed to snow but I don't care if it does or doesn't cuz I don't have school tomorrow and therefore there's

It was supposed to snow before this time last week too, a really big snow storm actually but it never came. It went completely around us at the last minute. =_= And allegedly, it's going to snow on Monday and Tuesday this coming week but at this point the weather can do whatever the hell it wants. I just really want one last snow day before the year is over and before my last year in high school is over.

January was pretty dull weather wise. Got two 2-hour delays in a row and one cancellation but pretty much nothing after that.

Is it me, or did my weather rants get more lengthy?

Well, it's time to present the final 2007 edition of 'Vegerot's Journaly Rant on the Weather'! Been almost a month since the last update and not much has changed. It's still cold and we got snow last Tuesday and Thursday. We actually got a white Christmas! Okay, I'm not sure if you can count it since it didn't actually start snowing until like six o'clock in the evening. But I guess the main point here is that it snowed on Christmas so what the heck? We'll count it!

Other than the joyful snow ( that's already melted D: ) the weather has been bright and shiny but like I said, it's still very cold. *is frozen solid then quickly defrosts* The wind is the worst of it all, like it always is. And I suppose this will conclude the last edition of 'Vegerot's Journaly Rant on the Weather' for the year 2007! Be sure that it will return in 2008 with all the unpredictability of Mother Nature!

Oh oh, exciting news! I gots kewl stoof for Christmas! X3 Well, firstly, I got money (WOOT! ), a gift card for Borders *already spent *, a CD, a model car, Pirates 3 () and the coolest of them all....my uncle brought me authenticness from Japan!

It's so awesome I can't believe I waited until this year to ask him for things like this! First, he (along with my aunt and three cousins) got me totally awesome Goku and Gohan keychains! Goku is in mid-kick and Gohan is in a stance with the Z-Sword and his Kai clothes! They're too awesome to be mere keychains! I have them amongst all my DBZ action figures!

And secondly, he also gave me a cute little kid Goku phone charm! It has three Dragonballs dangling from it with Goku on the bottom flying on Nimbus. It makes me sad that my awesome new phone doesn't have a place for it.... But it might get ruined so I guess it's okay! ^^

And lastly, he got me a black T-shirt with Chiaoztu on the back in his pose when he's about to blow himself up to stop Nappa. It says, "Goobye Tien-san". And those are the wonderful things I got for Christmas!

So moving on, with my Christmas money (which I still have some of plus the money I've saved up) I bought arm warmers from Hot Topic (for those nights when the heater isn't working fast enough), three manga (2 & 3 of Chibi Vampire and 6 of One Piece) and a kids' book for Pirates of the Carribbean! What? The pages have cool stuff in them!

Back to the manga thing, I've discovered Chibi Vampire. It's really funny and awesome! And that fact that it's under Comedy/Horror makes me laugh! Okay, not so much but at least more than last time! It finally snowed. It actually snowed quite some time ago, around Thanksgiving-ish, only like two inches or so, but it's supposed to again very soon (I'm hoping this weekend, if anything, but the WC says it's gonna rain. ).

But since it hasn't snowed for quite some time, it has been cold with biting wind...on some days. Right now, it's 54' with lots of clouds and some wind. It didn't start to get cloudy until yesterday evening. However, later on it rained. The temperature doesn't seem to want to stay in the same range for very long. Some days it's freezing and others, like today and yesterday, are fairly pleasant.

So, with the weather being as unpredictable as ever, there's not much more to do but wait and see what it will do. And so ends this edition of, 'Vegerot's Journaly Rant on the Weather'!

Now here is something I need to get off my chest...I'M SO SORRY I HAVEN'T REALLY BEEN COMMENTING/FAVING ANY OF YOUR DEVIATIONS! I have so many piled up now that I'm debating on whether to just erase them all or just going through and looking at them then faving as I go...I will probably just end up doing that because I don't want to erase all of your works without even looking at them. I want you to know that I at least took the opportunity to glance at them, after all. I may comment here and there but other than that I will just be viewing and faving. I mean no disrespect.

That aside, I must say that preparing for college can kill you if you don't watch it! @.@ I've had to crunch to get in applications, scholarship forms and teacher recommendations! And being that no one in my immediate family knows about as much about preparing for college as I do (which on a scale of 1-10 is a 0), I was stressing for a time.

I'm feeling a bit better now and I think because I tend to get too stressed over one thing, I lower my immune system and get myself sick. That happened last week, I believe. I caught the 24-hour flu and stayed home from school Thursday. I think I still may be getting a cold but I think that's only because it's going around. I feel fine, though. I'm taking medicine early to fight it off! Only thing is, now I'm tired everyday from lack of sleep, but the week is almost over, so it's okay!

I still need to send out this one scholarship application that I had to get recommendations for but as soon as I do, I will be good. The deadline for all this stuff to be over and done with is next week on the 14th.

Speaking of the 14th, the 15th will be my one year anniversary for being on dA! *ahem* So as you may be able to ascertain (woah, a big, sophisticated word!) from the above, not much is going on in the wild world of weather for the hard-working reporter (myself) to report on for this issue of 'Vegerot's Journaly Rant on the Weather.' It's very sad....

So instead, I will just stick this in it's place; I haven't updated my journal in almost four weeks?! *checks calendar a second time* Hm, yes. It would seem so. I 've no explanation for that as I cannot recall much of the past few weeks... All I know is that I've had homework and haven't had much inclination (what's with all these big words?) to do much of anything besides check messages and whatnot... So my apologies.

I will however, update you on the highlights of my last journal as that's the best of what I can remember! Here we go!

So yes, I am a legal adult now. Doesn't feel different reallly. It still hits me every now and then. So at random times, I'll be like, "...OHMYGOD!!! I'M 18!!!!!!" In the company of other people, you can imagine the looks of confusion I get. Of course in those cases, I try to keep it down so as not to disturb too many people at one time.

My birthday (if you'll recall, was on the 12th), was pretty cool. I was asked where I wanted to go eat and I couldn't decide until right before we left. Went to Olive Garden and I knew my mom would try and do something to embarrass me, like tell the people it was my birthday and have them sing to me...>.>; But while I was watching her, her boyfriend does what I thought she was going to do! There's two of them, it's not fair! DX So yeah, ate a big meal, got a caramel coffee () and a song! I don't remember the last time I ate so much...

Two days later, a friend of mine took me out to bingo. That was fun and I was happy to see my friend again!

Now about my concert to Jeff Dunham....IT WAS FREAKIN' AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! TOTAL KICK @$$!!!!!!! One of the best after-birthday presents I've ever received....*w*

Hm...let's see. What else has happened...? Oh yeah! So, in my forensics class, the class is split up into separate teams, each with 4 to 6 people. Now those teams are required to appoint a captain. But in part that's good because I went on an outing with some of my family a couple nights back and well, needless to say, we really didn't want it to rain. Which it didn't! Right, right now, however, it is mostly cloudy and it's like 80' out there. Slightly breezy, nothing exciting. And tomorrow doesn't look any better. Since then, it has rained a few times but it's still been pretty hot in the afternoon... It's a lot hotter, though, if you're actually outside to experience it! Who knew?! Today is looking pretty cloudy and it rained a little earlier, so all is right again! I've noticed that it's become significantly cold outside at night too... Very strange. Well not really being that autumn is approaching but still. I think it was near the fifties at some point! My room is the most temperately uncontrolled room in the whole house so I suffer the most if it's too hot or too cold outside! But anyway, this wraps up another version of, 'Vegerot's Jouranly Rant on the Weather'!

Went on another adventure with my friends Saturday but this time up near their dorms/apartments as they are in college now. A very sad Vegerot I was once it was all over.... They'll come back for the weekends which is good but a very short time indeed. What can you do?

But while we were paling around we went to go see 'Death at a Funeral'! HILARIOUS if you haven't gone to see it! I recommend it if you're interested! I also had a very delicious burger with lots of cheese and really good fries!

Me myself have been helplessly grasping at what remains of summer! My last week then back to the old grind I go... I don't wanna! But again, nothing I can do...TT_TT

Also getting increasingly hyped up about Sparking! METEOR!!!! But now, I'm at a standstill...I want a shot at this game on the Wii but the PS2 version has bonuses if you have the previous installments.

Well, yes. I did go to an Anime Con....*cough* Or what could best be described as an excuse for parents to try and connect with their rambunctious, bright-eyed offspring! So, in all honesty, it could've been better.... It was put in a small portable with one room dedicated to movies for teens, one room dedicated to movies for, uh, non-teens (children), one room for DDR and another for food and an "anime" store. And the only indication it was in the area were the fish windsocks they put up!

My friends and I sat in the DDR room for a majority of the time....then did some "shopping" and decided to leave elsewhere for lunch. The stuff at the store were really just a bunch of stuff that people were tired of...Lucky for me, that stuff consisted of Palkia and Glameow plushies! X3

Well after leaving the Anime Con, which I invited all my nearest and dearest friends to come to (I feel I failed them ), we all went off to go eat at a place called the Late Night Burger. In which we all enjoyed deep-dish pizza! It was awesomely delicious!

After that, we all went to my friend's apartment for some Pump It! (Korean version of DDR but so much more fun! ) We played for about three hours until we went to another friend's house for some spaghetti and meatballs...and ice cream! :3 And corn! Stayed there until about midnight. Before which we tried to find different ways of entertaining ourselves. Among those ways, playing Red Rover.

Oh dude, the drama I experienced on the day of the movie almost killed me!!! No one had their tickets so I was scrambling to find out all who were going so I could buy all the tickets collectively! One of my friends would not answer any of the calls we sent or any of the texts so I was losing my frickin' mind!!! Luckily, the very second I went to the theatre to get the tickets having given up on my friend who wouldn't answer, I was sent a message saying she was for sure. I sighed relief and bought six tickets and went home and waited till 6:30 when we all planned to meet! ^^ The End.

And even further, we were all gathered outside waiting for them to let us in, all the while wondering why no one was doing the same, when two of my friends goes to investigate only to come back out to say that people were already being allowed in!!! WTF!??? We go in the theatre and to our chagrin, it's almost full! We manage to find seven seats (as one of my friends had already bought his ticket) and awaited the big moment. It was quite a day....

The weekend after the movie, I think, I was informed of Kmart being in possession of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee plushies!!! I WANT ONE!!! They 'transform' too! You can have their car forms AND their robot forms rolled into one!! It's time for another edition of, "Vegerot's Journaly Rant on the Weather!" Today's issue is not about snow, like so many of my previous journals, nope. Today's issue is about the unpredictableness of thunderstorms!

Saturday evening, a tornado touched down somewhere in the outskirts of town! That has NEVER EVER happened before! It didn't cause any injuries or damage, it was an itty bitty little thing, so it probably wouldn't have caused any damage HAD it hit anything. Or at least, not much damage... When I heard the news, I became scared/excited! I've studied tornadoes just cuz they're so gosh darn fascinating! On the outside, I looked cautious, but I was really hoping to see it! Even a fleeting glance would've been great! Unfortunately, no such luck...

About the only thing the storm brought us where I was, as I wasn't at home, was lots of rain, thunder, lightning, lots of wind and I don't know about hail...if there was hail, it was too small to be noteworthy. The main storm itself, with the twister and whatnot, was still a ways off but they're very unpredictable. I think it even turned in a totally different direction before it died. It only lasted about twenty some minutes.

It's cloudy and windy here now, as I speak. We've just been warned by the National Weather Service of a severe thunderstorm traveling at thirty miles per hour! It's heading this way! It'll produce nickle sized hail and gusty winds. Advisory is not to go outside.

Now, I wasn't at home because I was at a friend's party. We talked about the protocal we would take if the storm reached us. My friend said she'd spin around and sing, "It's a twister. A twister." Then she suggested that we watch 'The Wizard of Oz'.... I'm sorry, but I can't stand that movie! After the party, I went to another friend's house to play Mario Party 8 on her Wii for eight hours! Didn't get home till two in the morning!

Now the reason this is so bizarre is because, where I live, we're situated in a valley surrounded by high mountains, so any twisters or otherwise, high winds don't make it to us without breaking up in the hills and mountains. A twister here is just crazy...Psst, I think it's global warming...

The rain and clouds cleared up around seven thirty-ish that night. Sunday was clear and sunny...and hot! @.@

Time for sunscreen, even though I don't neccessarily burn , lemonade...and other icy cold beverages, free-time and heat! That last part I'm not too thrilled about though... But anywho, yes, all is right with me now, at least physically, since I'm still a little ...but you all still love me, right? Right? Right!

As to the title, um, yes...awhile back I established that I am a ninja. I am also a pirate. Ask ~Cerberuswaltz. The alchemist thing is semi-true as alchemy is quite a nifty (yes, I just said "nifty") ability when you're a pirate! Seriously, think about that; a pirate with the ability to use alchemy...*ahem* I'm also a Saiyan but you all knew that! I'm the loner kind of pirate because of my alchemic ability, other pirates are either afraid of me or think I'm a freak and being a ninja adds to their fear. It's cool though. When you're solo, that just means you're always gonna be captain! I'm not lonely though cuz I know you people!

Now about the Wii part....hm....I have thought and thought hard and I have come to the conclusion that...I REALLY WANT A WII!!!! DX I think I'll get it sometime this weekend...I just need to look at more of the games so I can decide what I want right away. It's allegedly going to rain tomorrow, it sprinkled a bit today...but it was also quite windy! @.@ I can live with wind as long as it's not cold! But now I worry about temperature. It was hot today! I have been dangerously tired and it's affecting my sanity... not to mention my mood. I have gone from a walking zombie one day to just plain tired the next, to happy and carefree, to moody and all "don't-touch-me-or-I'll-rip-your-arm-off" status, to quiet and keeping to myself and finally cracking! I'm serious, I haven't had a decent night's sleep this entire week! Why just today I was talking to a friend of mine, I said something weird and random and she says to me, "No more coffee for you." and my response was, "HA! Too late! I've already had some!" Then proceeded to laugh quite evilly. So evilly, my friend turned to me with this look on her face as if to say, "What the hell is wrong with you?!" I scared myself a little...but mostly I thought it was hilarious! I think it was my evil side....

To help with my difficulty in finding relaxation and therefore sleep, I've got this Air Wick thing in my room that smells like lavendar cuz it's for stress relief and it helps...if only by a small margin. I also have incense (sp?) sticks that I light everyday but you can never really find any good smelling incense for a really good price. I'm not sure why that is....a small note if I may, no? HA! I'm doing it anyway! *ahem* Sorry...the scent of "Dragon's Blood" is absolutely horrid! I can't even describe to you just how horrible! It's just plain awful! To me at least.... Of course with the name "Dragon's Blood," I suppose it had to be unpleasant.....

I bought a case for my iPod. It's black leather (or pleather ), with a little green clover on the front! ^^ I love it! I had another case, a black and red rubbery one, but it didn't keep me from accidentally pressing the buttons while my iPod was in my pocket. At random points throughout the day I would hear little tunes...coming from my pocket! O.o; My current one however, is like a little wallet and therefore, protects the buttons and it stays closed by means of magnets! ^^ My friend tells me though, that it's not made for 2nd gen iPods so it's a little small....http://Vegerot.deviantart.com/journal/12758173/ Fri, 27 Apr 2007 18:30:12 PDT Yup! I finally did it! I filled out the form on Apple, created an Apple account and patiently waited for my little bundle of mechanical joy to be shipped to me! Man, I could not believe how very quickly it traveled! Especially over such long distances! It started off in Hong Kong (where it was assembled), to some other place (CK), to Anchorage, Alaska (which confused me), to Indianapolis, Indiana, then to Memphis, Tennesee then ended up here all in a time span of four days! My little baby got more travel in almost a week than I've had in my whole life!

It's such a lovely red color! The money spent on it, $10 of it was donated to the AIDS fund in Africa! Thus the red color. YAY FOR HELPING PEOPLE!!! Personally, more money should be donated per iPod, but I guess Apple has its reasons.... Anywho, upon being united with my first MP3 player, I messed with it a little (like I do with all my new electronic toys ) so I could be able to work it right! I've only messed with a few of my friends' iPods you see. When I pressed one button to turn it on, to my dismay/panic, I found all the menu text in JAPANESE! O.O; My exact reaction: "Eh heh....It's in Japanese...." I freaked and quickly went through all the captions seeing if I could find the language settings! It was hard! I knew some of the characters but that doesn't mean I know what they, well, mean......>.> After searching forEVER, I clicked on this one thing and was relieved to find the word "English" above the Japanese characters! I quickly clicked on it and sighed with relief. I then proceeded to play with my new contraption and came home to download all my music; 549 songs...and 1076 pictures! And this will conclude my rant on something other than weather (as it has been exceptionally nice lately.... I fear I've said to much....*glares at sky*)!

Although, strangely enough, considering it did snow today, it wasn't as cold as yesterday.... I don't get it anymore.... If you all remember, and for those that don't, in a journal some time ago, I was talking about how I'd given up on the WC (Weather Channel) as all they spout are lies! Why just this morning the weather reporter was saying that it would continue to snow for most of the day (it was already snowing) but none of it would stick....It was sticking to everything! Yesterday, we were told to expect 4-6 inches of snow, but either before or after that was said, they had also said none of it would stick! Question: How are we supposed to expect snow accumilation if none of said snow sticks??? As for future weather updates, I saw that there are rainshowers up in the northwest and into northern California, so I think that maybe either it will get really nice for a while then get all icky again or get icky right away. Well I finally saw Eragon! Unfortunately I don't remember enough of the book to criticize and even if I did, I don't think I would! Actually, I saw it right after I typed my last journal.... But I thought I'd edited it enough so I'd let it slide.

I still haven't seen all the movies I mentioned I wanted to go see! But soon, this new theater that they built some time ago unbeknownst to me, will be having their grand opening and everything will be only $1! Movies, popcorn, tickets, drinks, you name it! I think I might go but only if they actually show good movies, namely the ones I want to see!

I'm thinking about getting a new phone cuz the contract for my current one will end at the end of this month, but I haven't decided yet. I loves my phone sooo much! I'd feel kinda bad getting a new one, I mean, there's nothing wrong with it and it works just fine! Even if my contract ends, I would only be required to pay about $50.00 per month unless I decide to renew it or get a new one. No big really. If I do get a new phone, I'll get the new Sanyo Katana! It's so sleek and shiny! Guess we'll see!

Recently purchased Eragon and Happy Feet! I have yet to watch Eragon and have already watched Happy Feet, I love the music from that movie! The extras are what surprised me...I was not expecting them to have put Steve Irwin, or ever expected that they would even include him (was it this long ago that they were working on this??? ) in the movie or a scene from the movie! Yup. They cast him as an albatross! He sounds so much like himself it's awesome! I admit I did tear up a little bit.... He was such a good man, I don't care what anybody says!

Has anyone seen TMNT yet?? If you have, just say so and nothing more cuz I haven't! Can't wait!!!! I also really want to see Wild Hogs! You know me and my comedic needs! There are some others I want to see but I don't remember.

Tried something new and innovating the other day -- a coffee flavored granola bar! The brand is Caribou Coffee and they are made with real coffee. If you peel open the foil and sniff them, it's like sticking your head in a can of Folgers. They're really strong! But I think I'm pretty much immune to the powers of caffeine due to my love of Starbuck's Frappiccino so I couldn't tell you how strong they really are . . . What? I don't have a problem! I can stop whenever I want!

I just finished reading this book called "Saving Face." Basically, it's a book that gives you steps on how to get yourself out of "life's most awkward situations," which is good considering all the awkward moments I experience on a daily basis! I borrowed it from a friend of mine so I had to give it back and now I'm going to try and look for it at Borders or something. My friend said he bought it with a movie that-I-don't-remember-the-name-of at Wal Mart, but I'm gonna try anyway cuz that book's funny!

This past Saturday I went to a birthday party for two of my friends who are twins. I felt bad cuz I didn't get them a gift but that's only because we don't really hang out much and I had no idea what to get them. But anywho, while at this party, I played ping pong for like three or four of the seven hours I was there. I find that ping pong is more fun when the people playing it suck! The times I wasn't playing ping pong I was outside the house playing with foam swords! Now I admit I lost, but that's only because I was ambushed and then brutally assaulted AND because I've come to the conclusion that my true specialty does not lie with swords or weapons of any kind. No. Hand-to-hand combat is what I'm made for! You can move much faster that way!

Later on that evening, a small group of us (while the rest were playing Monopoly/Uno) got together and started telling scary stories. Which failed. It quickly turned into a talk about completely random things and at some point included me being attacked by foam swords. Not the old fashioned way. Nope. They were chucked at me! Twice! I couldn't even begin to tell you how cold the windchill is but let me tell you, it's something else! I'm guessing that it takes the nice upper 40's to low 50' temps all the way down to freezing again. Apparently, we're in for some rain like next weekend or something but I stopped believing the WC. In doing so, however, I'm finding that their predictions are slightly more accurate. Slightly. I say that because for no apparent reason at all it started snowing last night! I didn't hear anything anywhere about there being snow possible! Weird. 9_9 This will conclude another episode of "Vegerot's Journaly Rant on the Weather!"

In other news, I'm finding it difficult to type right now as I over-extended/jammed my thumb sometime yesterday/today-ish and now I have my hand wrapped up in a bandage. It doesn't really hurt that much. In fact, it only hurts when I don't want it to, if that makes any sense at all! Besides, I'm used to it!

I finally got to watch more eps on the Season One boxset! I almost forgot how much of a dork Goku used to be back then (not that he still isn't)! I'm currently on disc three. I know, it's not much of a progression but it is if you consider that five out of the six discs have seven eps! I'd be done by now, but I've been so tired lately and therefore haven't had much energy to stay up past ten. I'm not so tired today, I'm actually pretty awake right now, but come tomorrow I'll come home a relax. How dare this week drag on so slowly!

Been trying to come into possession of an iPod nano. A cool red one! But currently, I haven't raised a lot. Okay, I only have like a tenth of what I'd need to buy one on my own. I'll get there! Eventually . . .

When I started off a couple years back I used stick figures, or as my friends called them "Super Stick Figures" because they're not really stick figures to speak of, but I recently (as recently as late last year) started fleshing out my comics a little more so I could squeeze in more facial expressions!

It's supposed to snow again Tuesday but the temps here recently have been less than desirable if you know what I mean! It would be bearable if not for the -2' WIND!!! Of course I'm used to it, being that I stand out in it for about an hour each morning, but by that time I've lost all feeling in my face, fingers and ears! I recently purchased Season One of DBZ and have yet to watch . . . more than . . . three eps . . . . So far I like it! I just wish that these DVDs were more like the Ruro-Ken DVDs as those have VA bloopers! The Japanese music, I'll admit, I haven't had much pleasure in listening to, cept on this one CD I have, but it sounds so much better and you can hear the actors' voices much more clearly! I just wish the boxes weren't so blindingly orange . . . @.@ Must be to match FUNimation's DBZ website . . . I've watched FUNi's sneak peek for the sets twice and the first time I never snapped to Chris Sabat saying, "All 291 episodes fully remastered!" or something along those lines. When I caught on to that, I was well . . .

Another cool thing that happened to me was that I bought my own Naruto headband and matching wristband! I've been eyeing them for soooo long! I've decided that I will be master of the "Great Golden Monkey jutsu!" Believe it!

And now the coolest thing of all . . . . drum roll please! . . . . . . . . Okay fine! Who needs a stupid drum roll anyway??? *ahem* For those of you who don't know, a couple months ago, the DBZ website had a place where you could sign up to enter the "Biggest, Baddest Dragon Ball Z Giveaway on Earth." I entered and forgot about it for quite some time . . . until today. When I logged on to check my email, I discovered a message from FUNimation saying, "You won in the Biggest Baddest Dragon Ball Z Giveaway on Earth!" This seems to sum up my reaction pretty well . . . Third prize winners win two limited edition wallpapers! I hardly ever win anything so you can imagine my excitement!

1) What sorts of things would attract you to my site? (info, multimedia, etc.) 2) What would you want or need from a site like this? (pics, stories, mini comics, humor, etc.) And 3) How would you prefer the information on this site be presented?

Well, there you have it. Please share your ideas with me! And please note that I will post nothing on my site that has anything to do with sex or porn and I will not tolerate character bashing as this is not only a Fusion site, it's a DB site as well.

Well, managed to get my hands on a fabulous Nintendo DS! I it!!! I may only have one game so far but you have no idea what I went through to even FIND a DS as practically everyone was fresh out! @_@ I can't even begin to tell you how many stores I went to until I was finally able to find one! I finally came to Target, absolutely sure there wouldn't be one there, walked all the way to the electronics and found the last one they had! The very color I wanted and everything! And to top it all off, they had the very game I'd been wanting as well! Also the very last one they had! It's a Nintendo DS Lite and it's white and the game they had was Dragon Ball Z: SuperSonic Warriors 2 (I was very sad/infuriated that they released this on the DS instead of the SP and therefore boycotted the DS until it finally broke me)!!!!

I believe the DS and the Wii just have to be the most ingenius pieces of machinery that Nintendo has ever come up with! *pokes touch screen* No I don't have a Wii but I plan on getting one and how can you not love a machine that allows you to pull off ridiculous moves in the safety of your own home just to play a video game????

Also went to a car show, which I LOVE!!! The Super Nationals to be exact. But unfortunately, it wasn't as good this year as it was in the past . . . . But I DID get to sit in an awesome 2005 or 2006 Ford Mustang! Leather interior . . . *drools* Sorry . . .

Sooo . . . Valentine's Day'sa coming . . . TT_TT Ah, the fine earth holiday of sweethearts expressing their love for one another and others pretending they care . . . or at least, that's what I've gathered. Never cared much for this Earthling tradition and never really understood it. It's like Xmas' less important (if not, more annoying cousin). Now don't let me talking about it like this ruin your day. I hope that it becomes a very special day for you and your significant other.

But it doesn't stop there! No! It's supposed to "snow" again on Tuesday! But wait, there's more! It's supposed to "keep snowing" for the next TWO days after that!!! I'm not entirely sure if it's supposed to snow nonstop like it did like a three or four weeks ago, but I'm going with that possibility because that's what happens here. It originally was supposed to snow Sunday thru Thursday, but eh, who cares?

Moving away from the snow for now, the temperatures have been pretty exceptional. Mostly in the mid 30's to lower 40's with plenty of sunshine! But it's the nighttime and early morning that'll really get you if you happen to be outside (lucky me, always out in the morning and apparently THREE layers of gloves cannot block out 16' temps!). The temperatures can go well below freezing (about mid to lower 20's to the low teens) and the wind isn't all that pleasant either! Those cold breezes can be around the negatives! And that will conclude my semi journal-y rant about the weather for now!

Anywho, haven't updated in awhile folks, sorry about that! Just slowly uploading pics as you can see! Hope you like them! And also, not many unusual things happening here. Cept I've been working on making a "slide" of ice on this one snowy hill but unfortunately my boots won't let me thoroughly enjoy it's slipperyness . . . TT_TT But I did slip on it like five times!

Guess I'll talk to you guys later!

Well, I got my scanner as you can already see!

I have also come up with a name that for the girl as I was asked to do awhile back. Since her nickname is Tater, she can be called Jagaimo (Japanese for potato) or Imo for short.

Another snow storm ahead . . . . TT_TT It just doesn't seem to know when to stop.
