I FINALLY finished that last set of Lineups. What a lazy jerk i am. Actually, i've been spending this time trying to get some more work done on my strip, Comic Book Dude & Vegetarian Girl. If you haven't checked it out yet, i'd love to know what you think.

But in between installments of the comic, I hope to have more of these lineups done. In fact, I already have the next set of characters picked out, and some of the designs have been completed. I'm going with smaller groups of characters now- i have a plan that'll take me to the end of my character list. But who knows how long this'll go. Part of the plan includes picking fewer characters from the main list, and then one "special" group of related characters. For example, the next set i'm going to do is:

Avengers Supporting Cast Members:
Pepper Potts
Happy Hogan
Jane Foster
Jarvis
Bethany Cabe

Plus, my regular set of characters:
Doom 2099
Shatterstar
X-Man (Nate Grey)
Batroc the Leaper
Winter Soldier
Hellcat
Beta Ray Bill
Stature
Lucy In The Sky
Xavin

So there you have it. God knows when i'll actually be posting these. In the meantime, i hope you enjoy future installments of my strip. Thanks for looking! -Dan

Well, i've realized that i've been neglecting a lot of my projects lately, and i've decided to change that. Hopefully, by the end of November, i'll have this entire set of 25 lineup characters done and posted (only taking time off for my birthday this weekend!). But after that, i'll be taking a break until New Year's to work on my comic strip, Comic Book Dude & Vegetarian Girl. I'm almost at the 100 mark that will end it, and i owe it to anyone who reads it (i hope that's you) and my partner-in-crime, Jess, to buckle down and get it up here. Additionally, i'll be posting a new strip up every day until we're all caught up. So there'll be some activity from me in the near future, that's for sure.

When i'm done posting up these lineups, i'll give y'all the rundown of who's coming next! I think this next set will be well-received.

Thanks for looking!
-Dan

That's it for this last batch of redesigns- another 25-27 down the drain. Thanks for all the kind words while i was posting these up. Having an audience definitely motivates me to do more. Having said that, I figured i'd try something new- I'm going to post up the list for the next set, and if anyone feels like offering any ideas or whatever, or even if you just want to discuss/debate my creative process, this would be the place to do it! I'd love to hear any opinions/suggestions/criticisms you might have!

Anyways.... the next batch will be the following:

Ka-Zar
Annihilus
Boom-Boom
Rictor
Siryn
Husk
Synch
Nighthawk
Gargoyle
Valkyrie
Bloodhawk
Puppet Master
Mockingbird
Lightspeed
Dr. Octopus
Chameleon
Green Goblin
Night Thrasher
Namorita
Darkhawk
Typhoid Mary
Enchantress
Dust
Wither
and Rockslide!

That's it for now- thanks again to everyone who makes these things fun!

(not to mention... 100 deviations!)

Well, I've decided to upload my webcomic to DA. It's got a yahoo group, and it's got it's own website that isn't updated very often.. But there's just not much in the way of feedback at either place. So i figured to try my hand here. It's just a little webcomic that I make with a friend of mine, who happens to be the factual basis for one of the two main characters. I started it in 2003 for my college paper, thinking it probably wouldn't go past one or two strips. But now it's 2008, and i'm closing in on 100 installments, with visions of a graphic novel in the future. And really, i just want to know if i have an audience beyond the 15 people i know who enjoy it. So please, if you like it, or dislike it, let me know. I'd love to talk.

Not only that, but i've just hit 100 deviations! I feel like i should throw a party or something.

-Dan

It might be awhile before i do another set, because i've decided to concentrate on more finite projects. But when i get back to it, i've got all the characters picked out, and the gears in my head are turning for new designs. Hope everyone digs this set!
-Dan

For those of you who have done that sort of thing in the past, what has worked best for you? Is self publishing a better way to get your foot in the door compared to submitting packets to big companies? Is there even a market for independent, creator owned comic creators right out of the box? Friends, i need advice.

-Dan
