Ben 10: Alien Force- I'm pretty sure that show has taken over my mind lately. It's so good! Loved the finale! My only quip is....Where are the fan communities? I mean it's a VERY popular show- look on youtube, and here on deviant art- but there seems to be no big fan community that I usually find myself being a part of. So, I made a forum. Hey, People!

I haven't been on here in forever. Honestly, I haven't been drawing much of anything....aside from doodles on the margins of my notes for class. I'm loving college. I mean I love the place I love the opportunities. (I don't like how I'm not taking advantage of them.)

So I've been watching The Monkees like nobodies business. That is the most amazing show I have ever seen. (GASP! It's live-action what is with that????? I guess the guys themselves are pretty animated.)

I think I'll be drawing during Christmas break. Why? Because I need to. I haven't been drawing, singing, or playing my bass since I got here. For some reason I feel intimidated. I'll have to get over that, SOON.

I hope to have some drawings up sometime before the year ends. HAHA.

I know I haven't uploaded a lot of artwork lately. To be honest I want to draw a lot of things but I can't stick to just one. I'm also really thinking about getting a different kind of marker besides Sharpies. (Someone suggested Microns and I think that is the route I will go.) I have so many ideas it's crazy...

I recently found a show that I am absolutely addicted too. (Granted, I found it at 4 in the morning since that is the only time it is on....) 'Get Ed' is a wonderful show. To bad it was canceled before I discovered it. *sigh* Well, anyway you will probably be seeing some 'Get Ed' fanart pretty soon.

I'm supposed to be doing a painting for my mom before I go off to college. Speaking of which....I just realized I'm going to be without the PS2 because well...it's 'technically' my brother's although we all use it. So there is yet another reason to get myself a Nintendo DS. I KNOW it is ESSENTIAL for college. (That is what I'm trying to convince my mom anyway.)

Fortunately, the next game I want is Lego Batman- which will be available on the DS. Have you guys seen any of the trailers? *tries to be calm* Nightwing is in it. Yes that is right the amazing, wonderful, handsome, awesome Richard John "Dick" Grayson is in it. Excuse me while I squeal like a fangirl. *aheem*

Life has been good lately. I'm finishing up stuff for college and by this Thursday I'll be able to order my laptop. (Which btw if you buy a printer/scanner/copier combo and an ipod with it... you get rebates for both AND the computer itself has an eduactional discount from my school.) I was going to get all three of those things anyway....but if I can get my money back then that is stinking awesome.

So I'm officially a high school graduate. Weird. Anyway, summer has been great so far. What have I done? Absolutely nothing. How long have I been a graduate? About 5 days. I'm just really enjoying the staying up late and going to bed in the morning thing quite a bit. God has been great and has truly blessed me! I love my life and I live my life.

You know I just want to draw and do so much. This week my goal is really to get all of my college papers completely filled out-- don't worry people all of the important things are turned in, this is all that other stuff that is due in August. I'm very excited to go to Lee University. I've gotten a wonderful scholarship that pays full tuition on my freshman year as well as financial aid, so I don't have a lot that I have to pay for. However, there are still expenses that I am not sure about (If books and meal cards are covered.) Oh and of course my laptop that is a must have. I'm not going to be without a computer.

So......
I'm getting a job this summer. I've applied for Walmart and have gotten a great offer to work in the toy department as a zoner. I'll basically be picking up toys all day. I'm not absolutely hired yet. They can't say anything until they get my drug test back. (It's required for employment.) In case you are wondering there is nothing for me to worry about in a drug test.

I've also added a couple of new drawings-- one is a more traditional piece while the other is a cartoon. Grapes and a picture of Chiro from SRMTHG (that's Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go! in case you were wondering.)

I'm graduating on the 28th of May!!!!!!! That is going to free up a lot of my time. Although, I am getting a summer job........ oh well. I know I'll still have more time to be drawing anyway, my head is swimming with ideas. I'm having a bit more trouble getting them down on paper lately. I know that will pass and with free time it will probably be much easier to take my time to do. I'll update this again by the end of the month hopefully with much more artwork.

LIFE
School-
I have been gone a lot lately for being sick and a death in the family, so I have some backed up work. (It's mostly in AP English- Transactive Writing, Argument..... *shrugs* I guess I should try to get that done tonight. I'm a procrastinator.) I really can't wait for my senior year to be over. I do feel ready to go to the next step in life...which for me will include college- hopefully Lee University.

Church is awesome! Our drama team- which includes myself- will be competing at a State Competition! I'm excited and also nervous- but more excited. I do have a little catching up to do- because respiratory problems and drama/dance/interp movement just don't go together. I'm excited, I just hope no one on the team takes it too far as a competition- First and Foremost, it is a ministry.

I've realized something....I have friends that I can talk about anything with and they will listen and understand. It may seem weird to some, but I haven't felt that way in a while. I've made new friends and they really seem to "get" me. I think it's awesome! Oh, and they are Christian friends, life is pretty good.

Digimon: Data Squad-
Yes, Digimon you have yet again taken over my life....jk. Seriously though, I'm addicted to this new season/series....it's crazy! I didn't think I would like it this much, as it is a lot different. My goodness I'm putting this season right up there with Adventure/Adventure 02. I think I have another Digicrush Marcus. I really like his character, he is very entertaining. (Tai would be my other crush in case you were wondering. Hmmm...both of them have a drawing on my deviantart too.)

Alvin and the Chipmunks-
The DVD is coming out April 1rst! I can't wait! I'm still listening to their music like something crazy. Gosh I love them!

Teen Titans- Oh, I miss you guys...

American Idol 7-
Ok...I've decided who my favorites are-----
Brooke White- She is amazing, I love the emotion that she has when she sings. Her personality is awesome, and I believe that she is as pure as she claims.
David Archeleta- He is the best singer this year. (He's not my favorite though...that would be Brooke.) He has a great personality as well. Again, amazing vocals
Carly Smithson- At first I was unsure, but she has really shown a lot of talent. She's beginning to grow on me.
(Quick thing on last week...."8 Days a Week" isn't a country song...sorry Kristy.)

I finally designed a character for myself, other than on the Sims. Her name is Vkitty and she can be seen in my avatar. (A bigger picture is in my gallery.) Feel free to comment on her, or me, or......

As far as the being sick thing, I still have this respiratory infection. However, I'm really just fatigued and lightheaded. Sometimes I still have trouble breathing, but I am much better than I have been. (I can't wait to be up to my normal.... or abnormal self. )

I took my ACT again recently and got the same score I got the first time. (I didn't study then either.) So I still have a 26. I'm going to take it again and do the practice tests. (I need 1 point to make my freshman year paid for where I want to go to college, so yeah it'll be worth it.) I still don't know exactly what I want to do, but I know that God has a plan for my life. There is this verse that keeps popping up everywhere, it's amazing how he knows just what you are thinking about.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

I think that has become one of my favorite verses, it is surely one to live by! ^_^

In case you are wondering I am still sick. It's been almost two weeks, kind of getting old. I went to the doctor who said it seemed like pneumonia but that she would have to do blood work and an chest x-ray. Both came back ok. I don't have pneumonia but I do have a respiratory infection that has the same symptoms and everything. However, it can't get as...uh fatal. (Which is a good thing ) Basically , I feel drained all of the time, have trouble breathing, and I am lightheaded. Honestly, besides being sick I'm great.

I found my old sketchbook today. So in my gallery you'll find some old artwork from 2006. (Yeah, it was a while ago. I'll add them to scraps later.) I was really messing with different styles. So there are some very different styles going on. Please check them out and feel free to comment. Even make suggestions, because although they are old pics I might still need to work on something that I didn't realize.

I believe I have a respiratory infection of some sort. Yesterday I was breathing like I had just ran a marathon, it was crazy- not to mention scary. I can breathe much better today, not great but better. I get dizzy when I walk around and my chest still hurts, but compared to yesterday I'm great. I stayed home from school today, and slept most of the time. Oh yeah, and about 2 hours after I woke up the school called me with an automated message- you know the "Your child has been absent from school today, if this is an error please contact...." yadayada. Then the county board of education called, when I saw that on the caller ID I was thinking ' I just missed a day of school because I'm sick people!' I answered it and it was an automated message, but this time it was telling me that school was going to be out 2 hours early, due to severe weather. So yeah now it is sleeting/snowing. That is pretty much a full summary of my day. lol

-As far as art goes I'm working on coloring a comic strip of Alvin and the Chipmunks, with my free trail of photoshop. (I'm kind of clueless, but that's what tutorials are for.) I've also just completed a self portrait, which I intend to get on here somehow- I think it may be to big for my scanner.

- I ordered Chipmunk Adventure, a movie I haven't seen in forever. I can't wait for it to get here. I remember it being awesome, I watched clips of it on youtube as well. ("Girls of Rock and Roll" is probably one of the best scenes in a movie....ever.)

- Ok, so I love the new season of Digimon! I've always been a fan of that show, especially Digimon Adventure 1 & 2. The other seasons have been ok but I really like this never one. I love the characters of this season, especially Marcus. How come I always fall for the headstrong "leaders" ? (Yeah....cause they're the "awesomest" ones!) Marcus where are your completely useless goggles?

I really need to get things together. As usual I have let everything pile up on me. "Queen of Procrastination" would be my title, but I don't really procrastinate on things I really enjoy. As far as what I've let get piled up, a lot of things. In fact I'll just list the big ones.

-I have an ACT Saturday, which I have really neglected studying for. (It is my second time taking this test, I got a 26 the first time and didn't study at all. I really want to improve my score, but apparently I can't "find time" to study.)

-My Writing argument, sounds like a normal assignment for any AP English course. It was, but I'm a week late. :faints: That's gonna be some point deductions...

-Scholarship Applications- they are due on Friday, the 6th. The form is quiet easy and the same for all of these so it will probably take about an hour.

-SPAN/College Chemistry- I've been in the dark about what is going on in that class for this whole semester. I don't even want to think about my last three test grades- and in a class where it's almost only tests, well that can be a problem. So I'm going to study that actually read the chapter and stuff.

Well, those are the major things, I'm going to get on them. I'm going to "ground" myself from deviantart, computers in general-except to study, TV, and I'm going to hold back on starting some drawings. As of 11:15 PM on this day to whenever I get done with my ACT Saturday. I actually think if I get all of these things done and caught up I can stay that way.

From this journal you may be thinking...goodness she's stressed out. Not really, I don't feel stressed about this. Apparently, that's my problem. I'm all "Oh-Bla-Di Oh-Bla-Da, Lfe Goes On" -love that song too (go Beatles!) So, I'm not stressed, but if I don't get it together someones going to bring the Hammer down- like Amy off of Sonic. (That I will explain at another time...Morgan if you are reading this attempt to not fall off of your chair. :LOL: )

This little Smiley reminds me of me so much when I'm doing my homework-hyper crazy and listening to some happy music.
Actually, it reminds me of me being on the computer in general.

Oh my.....I got all of that done! Go me! All I have to do now is take the ACT. I'm even understanding AP Chemistry!

-Today I looked down at my paper with the usual "I am completely and utterly confused." I finally decided that instead of letting Mr. Hale find that out by my test grades, like my previous ones, I'd just ask him. I went to the desk beside him sat down and said, "I'm lost." Then he said, "No you're Cassie." So he explained it and a light came on....that feels good. (I doubt it'll help my progress report though.)

School is getting so boring I'm ready to go to college already. At school everyday I get about 1 1/2 hours of good teaching. (Only that because I have two teachers who actually teach.) The rest of the time is spent in a teacher giving us free time or getting-themselves caught up. I have nothing against those teachers and I actually really like them as people. I just don't understand why I must spend all day at school. I would rather go there for the two straight hours of teaching. Ah well, I'll spend that time reading and drawing.

I've been pretty happy lately, I've just been all munk'd out. lol
Life's being good to me. Not everything is perfect, but most things are pretty good.

Oh and Alvin... I just had to draw him. Lately, I've been obsessed with The Chipmunks. I know it's because I recently saw the live action movie, which was amazing. I love the little guys, and have since I was born. Now I think I may love them to much. Honestly, I'm not me if I'm not obsessed with something. Although, American Idol and Teen Titans are always there.

I've been doing good lately. At times I've felt like I was alone, yet I've never felt lonely. I'm a strange person I guess. Maybe, I'm just ready to go to college. Oh, and I still don't know what I'm going to be. I like so many things I'll find something. It's not like I don't have a long list of potential things ready. Let's just hope I don't try all of them.

Jordin Sparks released her debut CD this Tuesday. I am not even kidding, when I say that it is one of the best albums I have ever heard. This girl has an awesome voice, and I love what she stands for. Go over to her myspace and listen to some clips. [link]
