It's been a while and I'm sorry I haven't updated, Since, GOD!! DECEMBER!!! Man I suck...

Sorry, Well when I last left off I was going to van halen, and let me tell you that was one of the best shows I've ever seen, If you ever get the chance again to go, DO IT. Even if you have to whore yourself it's totally worth it.

Oh, And christmas was good, I got a bunch of art books and other goodies, so i hope everyone's xmas was good.

Oh, and I'm a straight A student as of January 31st. So i'm stoked about that.

AND Now SUPER SMASH BROS. BRAWL IS FINALLY OUT!!! I've been waiting for this thing for like two years, and it's totally been worth the wait. This game is soo addicting. I definitel;y recommend everyone go pick it up.

Yes, all the deviants who won't read this, VS68 went to Washington DC this past week, and had a good time. We went to the smithsonian-[link]

all were very cool and some, moving, like the vietnam, lincoln, and korean war memorials.

But i digress, i'm working on art for class, so designs have bee few and far between. And no one looks at them anymore, so i guess it doesn't matter.

So i'm not what im gonna do in the future, whether i'll still be posting on DA. Cuz all anyone cares about here is fanart. Which is total bullshit. Cuz fanart really doesn't get you anywhere.

Venomslayer68 here, just saying that nothing big or exciting is going on right now.

So that's both good and bad, a double edged sword, if you will. Yea, that seems like the appropriate metaphor here. Cuz I'm totally cool, and mellow, and not stressed at all, but then my life isn't that interesting cuz well, nothing's going on.

Oh, I recently discovered Limewire, and now have all the music hoarded( that i could possibly desire. And yea, School's going good too, classes are sweet, and i'm tryin g to find a way to upload some of the animations I've made in Animation class for all 100 and something people who watch me.

Anyways, yea, The whole Cassia Nox storyline is coming along both smoothly and roughly. My cousin from georgia, who's 26 and a bigger comic nerd than i am, came to visit a while back and helped me out so much with my story and character designs, maaaan, we came up such amazing ideas that i'm super stoked. The designs, characters, backstories, and regular stories are gonna blow your mind, we pulled an all nighter workin' out these kinks. But the rough part about this whole thing is that I haven't done anything since then.

School=No time to work on your dreams.


But then again I'm a senior.

But I'm not feelin the senior vibe. I feel like i'm not gettin the full benefits of being a senior. Oh well.




That's about it. Pretty much i need to just take some fucking initiative and work on Cassia's Story on My free time. And yea, I got a sweet sketch that I wanna go try and scan in Right now, so I'll catch y'all later.

Oh, I still open too suggestions on art and Cassia. So feel free.

it's been a while since I updated my journal, and i know that the four of you who actually read are just SOOOOOOOO elated to read them whenever they come out, so here ya go.

I went to Michigan from the 14th-21st, so that's why i was a bit inactive, like anyone noticed. It was pretty cool, seeing family and what-not. It rained the last three days, so that kinda sucked, but it was cool, helped my cousin get a sweet new laptop for college, and watched my cousin fall 10,000 feet in the air, pretty sick as well.

Then I got back, and it was back to work, the cool thing is that I'm SUPER close to getting my car. I only need 900 more dollars. Oh yea, and my girlfriend is still in china, so i'm quite depressed as I haven't seen her in a good long time. and she's gettin back on the 31st, then leaves for college on the 3rd. God, we're really gonna make this college thing work, i promise, cuz welll, yea, i love her, so i'mn gonna do it. We'll stay together, no problem.


anyways, after the mushie stuff, I'm finally fleshing out my cahracter, who now has an official name, Cassia Nox.and she's this mercenary kinda thing. idk, but the stroy i have so far is that she used to work for this organization of mercenaries, and then after this war, the group was broken, and the girl was hied by the government, to hunt down the other remaining members, her former comrades.

so please don't ake my stories, i'm still working on her, please help me, all your suggestions are valued my watchers. You've also seen what she knda looks like in this one deviation[link] so suggestions on her looks would help a bunch too.

anyway, that's about it, except school starting on the 4th, GO CLASS OF '08!!!

VS68 here with updtes on my life in which no one cares!

So Comic Con 2007 blew by in a flash, as usual. All those cool things and all those cool people in one place, it's hard for it not to go by so fast, ya know? Wel I had a lot of fun either way. I took pictures with some pretty cool people, Darth Vader for instance

Venomslayer68 here, with well, I don't know, the usual updates on the life of a killer symbiote, no, just kidding, but seriously...

Anyways, Summertime is well, I've been drawing-well, attempting to draw numerous this, such as X-Men, Nightmare, Elite Beat Agents, My new female character that I created in my last deviation, Green Lantern, and My Poke' mon party. But most of those ideas have fallen through because of this barrier that I've put up inside my mind, telling myself that nothing looks good. The only one that has come to fruition (sp) is the Green Lantern picture, because my boss is leaving my job, and he's a really good friend of mine, and he loves the Green Lantern. So that picture is on the way, before I leave for Comic-Con. I also need to draw Kiva, who a favorite character of mine as well as , as everyone else knows. So that one's coming too.

Speaking of Comic-Con, I'm going again, with for the second time, and my girlfriend for the first time. Hope it goes well, I don't wanna scare her off with a family of Cling- Ons (sp) or something like that.

But yea, I need to start drawing more, but that's probably not going to happen, because, HARRY POTTER COMES OUT IN 47 MINUTES! And I'll probably be reading that until I can't read any more. Yea, hope everyone else is excited for that.

First off, because I finally got my license last thursday. I was real nervous, but I totally pwned that test. I thought it was gonna be real hard but it was so easy. And now i finally have the freedom to do drive wherever the f*** i want, and it feels good. So now yeah, I can go places with the second and probably greatest reason I feel awesome right now:




Yup, she and I are going out right now, and it's awesome. We watched 3/4 of the Godfather tonight, and pretty much just didn't pay attention. I don't know, I just can't explain it. Hopefully you guys know what I mean cuz it's indescribeable.

Third an prolly least important reason, is that all of my major school stuff is done. Big projects and tesets are a thing of the past for now.


Last thing, I'm lacking inspiration. So right now I'm open to requests, not commissions. I'm not greedy, You guys come up with something for me to draw, and if I like it, I'll do the best I can and do it for free.

First off, I just wanna thank everyone for all the support and help with my recent computer coloring endeavors. This is kind of a weird time for me right now, so i really appreciate all of the help. However, in contrast to my newfound skillz at coloring, I REALLY feel like I need to actually draw something, ya know, make something original. I don't know I'm sure something will pop up soon.

Anyone see any good movies lately? Yesterday I went to the movies with my good friend & amazing artist (who I secretly like, and I'm sure she'll read this journal but I don't care cuz I want her to know) so go check out her page it's A-MAZE-ING. We were gonna go see Grindhouse, but decided to go see Hot Fuzz instead. That movie isfucking hilarious and 19 times better than shaun of the dead, EVERYONE needs to go see that movie!


Oh and tagged me with her new journal so I guess I have to put some random facts that people might not know about me?

was over today and wondered why i haven't posted a bulliten lately so at your request here it is:

So for those of you who were tricked into seeing Ghostrider, just as I, I grieve for you, and the reputation of The Spirirt of Vengeance. I used to think he was pretty cool, but Nick cage ruined it for me. If you liked tha's your opinion (and problem). But other wise fellow deviants don't wasted your ridiculously over priced movie ticket on this thing called "Ghost rider."

And also I'm sorry for not finishing my Shaak ti pic yet, I'm just kind of in an artistic slump right now. I'll finish it, ................................................................................................................................eventually.

I actually haven't even drawn anything new lately because i guess, i don't know, i 'll use that artistic slump excuse again.

By the Way, to anyone who cares, my birthday is May 19, I know that's really far away, but you know, if anyone truly cares about or likes my art they would tart on an amazing piece for me soon. Not to be conceded or a slave master or anything.

For those of you who have a Wii, Am I the only one who hasw realized how cool Wii Sports is? Seriously, I'm really getting into it. I'm really into the Boxing, it's really fun, and I use i to work out a little bit. I lost 3 pounds this weekiend so far just from playing Wii Sports, not to shabby eh?

Yes that's correct, I'm done with finals and I pulled off the semester with 4 A's and 2 B's- a 3.6 GPA for the semester and a 3.5 over all for High school-not bad if i do say so myself.

Anyways, hopefully everyone had a sweet superbowl- I'm in mourning for " DAAAAAA-BEARSH"- if anyone gets that reference I'll be worship the ground they walk on and be their best friend- But yeah, Chicago is the closest thing to Detroit- my hometown- it's funny though, because everyone was rejoicing about how the bears are going to the superbowl after 21 years. but, The Detroit lions have NEVER been to the super bowl and this year was Superbowl 41, so um...yeah....

Regardless of my sucky football team, I have a lot of great art in the works right now...

yeah, i hope everyone is doing just fine and all, considering i'm guessing most of my DA friends are in college or higher ight now, but, me, the highschooler, i have finals a-comin'.

FINALS=NO LIFE

This especially sucks because I just got the hang of drawing larger for my boards and I just drew the Pic i've ever done, and, guess what,..., yep ur right, the freakin' paents of Venomslayer68 won't let him scan his Best work.

Cryin' shame in my opinion.

But yeah, hey I didn't forget about ya, i still plan on coloring one of your pics, just, right after I'm born agin with life after finals

But all i can say is that i feel i'm getting better, and especially with all the books I got 4 xmas and that whole emo-reformationthingy, i feel i'm certainly on my way.

Throughout this year I probably progressed the most because of the support of my DA buds, so yea, thanks.

But now on to Christmas!

Hope you all had a good xmas, unless ur jewish or buddhist or somethin'. But anyway, I got some awesome stuff. first off, i got PotC DMC and Superman returns on DVD, and i just watched superman for the first time, and i thought it was really good. I also got the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time original soundtrack on CD! YAY! I got my Wii on the day it came out, and i had to camp out at Target for 3 hours but I ot it and It's amazing I love it, I'm in a really zelda-y mood cuz i just beat Twilight Princess, yea, pretty much the most amazing game ever. okay continuing on, i also got a 12" Shaak Ti action figure, yea, it's pretty much a jedi barbie. And now to the more important art-related stuff i got- i got 4 comic drawing books, so that will help withe my reformation that i'm doing. I also got Proffessional quality comic book baords, like, the actual sizes and shape and paper that pro artists use so i'm stoked about that. And finally, here's something that I know will be really happy about, I GOT A TABLET! Yes, Venom's gonna try to go digital now. It's a 9x12 WACOM intuos3 tablet. I have no idea what that means but it's pretty sweet.

But yea idk why i'm typin' this up on xmas but i'm gonna go try to figure ot this tablet thing

I'm gonna take babysteps to where I want to be, one aspect of the human figure and life at a time. I've already started, I have 3 pages of just human (male and female) eyes. This process is probably going to take a while so it may be a while before you see any art from me.
There is hope on the horizon. I have found out that renowned comic book artist and editor BRIAN HABERLIN lives in my neighborhood. And that his son is in my brother's 4th grade class. And my dad met, him got his personal cell phone # & e-mail. So I'm working on networking with him at the moment, maybe for some tutorials or something.
Anyhow, so I won't be submitting for a while, but I'll still be around to check comments and deviations, because I watch like 500 people so the deviations build up pretty fast. I'll probably post some art projects I do for scholl as I go along, to quell the uprising of my abundant fans... ha yeah right, me? Have Fans? HA!
Anyway, I don't know how long this'll take, but I hope the outcome is to my and everyone else's benfit.

First of all I'm sick. I got a freakin' sinus infection and it's as annoying as hell. Im on all kinds of stuff, and yesterday I had to go in for a blood test. And i know not many of you know me on a personal level, but I am deathly afriad of needles. so yeah i don't even want to talk about said blood test.

anyway, yeah school started too. Oh, this is fun has anyone been watching the the news? well yeah my school made headlines because of the fukin skanky freshmen girls getying drunk and stripping at our baxck to school dance. So, Our principal, BANNED ALL THE SCHOOL DANCES FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR! It was all over the news, and you can watch the report on youtube here: [link]
anyway so that makes me kinda mad and happy at the same time. I'm mad because our dances got banned, and yet, happy, cuz we have really hot girls at our school.

But yeah, Oh, i almost forgot, we are having a contest at our school too. It's a contest to illustrate children's books. So yeah i'm all over that. The author gave my teacher a script, told her to make copies, and have a schoolwide contest at Aliso Niguel High School. It's called THE ADVENTURES OF MR.FISH.
and it's a children's book, so i mean i don't like the story, but i'm not the target market for mr. fish. but anyway !st prize is 1,000 dollars and you get to illustrate the entire book. and on top of that, you get paid for each illustration, and you'll do about 20 pics, so that's quite a bit too. any way i got a strong feeling about this one so, i entered, and i'm almost done. so yeah im gonna go take a nap now. YAY SLEEP!

On sunday, I went back to pick up my Colossus and it was awesome, so worth the 30 bucks. And then my friends and I figured out where the artists for the Halo Graphic Novel were signing and I got all of them to sign it, so yeah it's a collectors dream now. And I found the Comics that i have that randy worked on and I got him to sign those, and now those are worth something too. And at the end of the day i got the Batman Lego Batmobile just for the hell of it.

so in a nut shell, GO TO COMIC-CON!
