I also realized today that it has been over a year since I posted any art on here. That makes me feel a little bad, especially given the number of things I'm supposed to be making for other people. :/ In my defense the past year has been more than a little crazy and while I am working on many, many art related things I only get a few minutes here and there to devote any time to them. There's no telling when things will be done. Mainly because this little creature right here: [link] has been awfully demanding lately.

Having her, moving to a new town, buying a new house along with an increase in my husbands work load/hours, even though it did come with two raises, just hasn't left time for much else. But my husbands hours change next week and the baby and I won't be spending all of our time here alone anymore so hopefully I can squeeze in a little time to get things done! Not that anyone cares or reads this!

I suppose I could always take that as a sign to drop the requests that have been made of me. Hmm...

Everything has been about preparing for the baby and trying to buy a house. And Matt got a raise last week so, yay for that!

So this summer has been kind of bad for art of any kind. I did, however, get a new camera on my birthday and it's pretty sweet. But I've only got to use once because I'm not really allowed to get out at the moment.

Hopefully once the baby comes I can pack her around with me and we can finally make use of the silly thing! It's an awesome camera and it really sucks that I haven't been able to use it. If nothing else I'll just go sit in the yard and take pictures of the grass and the apple tree once we've moved.

I think that's about it for an update from me but I hope you're all having a great summer!

I'm five months pregnant. Which is a very good thing! But it also means I'm broke and probably going to be broke for a very, very long time because my husband happens to love his low paying job and I'm not allowed to work right now. And probably not for a good while after the baby gets here unless I work from home. That was one thing the camera would have been good for. I had more than one person wanting me to take pictures for them before it crapped out but I obviously can't do that now! Mostly it sucks because I won't have a camera to take pictures of the baby with. And that's just very, very wrong.

So, we have a baby on the way! We found out a couple of weeks ago that we're having a girl

So, we're doing what little we can to prepare for that, she's supposed to be here on Sept. 23. But we're also trying to move in the next couple of months to a house in a smaller town near here so we're a little limited on what we can do to get ready for the baby! Plus, we're broke as usual. But it looks like this is going to be a very busy and very tiring summer!

This is not to say I'm not working on art because I am but being pregnant has slowed me up a lot, and been very interesting in relation to the diabetes, in part because I had to move my computer to the coffee table and the couch is the most uncomfortable place in the entire apartment. But there's nowhere else to move to while we're in this dump. So pray that we get out of here!

It would be nice to be somewhere safer, closer to friends and where I can be creative. This place is part of hell I swear. Which is probably why the SWAT team is always breaking into various neighbors apartments and police are chasing people down in front or ours, guns drawn, all the time. It's not a very safe or healthy place. I don't want to bring a kid back to this dump. That and we're allergic to it because of all the mold. It's been fabulous. Really.

And I'll be 30 on the 4th :/ That's MONDAY. O_o I'm not supposed to be that old!

Anyway, I don't really know if anyone reads these journals I post but I thought I'd do a new one just in case since I actually have some good things to share for a change.

The real problem is that I have about thirty images I'm working on right now; drawings, designs, paintings, manipulations. That's a problem. Because I'm not working on one so I can finish it and get to the others. No, no, that would make too much sense. Instead I'm working on them all at once.

This makes the work go very slowly. I know this. I really do. But I'm still doing it. It's much like my writing, I have to work on what's inspiring me when it's inspiring me or I won't ever work on it at all. And my muse is apparently a fickle creature. Though not even she can be entirely blamed. I don't get to work on these projects nearly so much as I would like unfortunately.

This is a problem. I need to get something done. I need to get a lot of something's done.

Because dA needs more ad's and my computer doesn't like them. So unfortunately I won't be around much. Because I can't afford a subscription right now. So if you tagged me, I won't be doing that. If you don't get comments from me when you normally do it's because I'm having problems yet again or I've gotten so frustrated with the whole thing that I'm just not on. Which sucks.

And to top it all off I had three requests to post. Then my cat got to them. I don't have three requests to post anymore.

I'm not going to tell you why or what's going because, who cares? The only thing I'm going to say here is: don't expect any art from me for a while. My hand is completely screwed up, carpal tunnel again I have no doubt but something else as well. Suffice it to say I can't hold a pencil or a mouse or even a camera very well. I am relegated to typing. Yay.

And I'm not really happy enough often enough to be that creative. I'm just not. I'm not leaving, I'm just... ghosting I guess. I like that better than lurking, it suits me better.

Anyway, I felt like giving an explanation so there you are.

I've been so busy it's absolutely ridiculous. That's not to say that I haven't had some free time but I've been spending my free time with other people. Namely ~dangerous-inept. And it's been great. We can be super geeky together and watch movies and talk about writing and art and music and what costumes we're going to make and where we're going to take pictures and all that jazz and then we can go home and hop on the computer and talk about it some more while we work on it and play Guild Wars.

Our husbands love it I have no doubt. But that's ok. We're going to be around each other far too much I'm sure. And I'm going to spoil her kid and her dogs and convince her to butcher my hair and let me help the next time they start tearing up a room because I'm dorky and I like remodeling and whatnot. And we'll make those costumes and take billions of pictures and whine to each other about all of the annoying people we know and it'll be grand.

So we've been having fun and the next time we get together we'll get someone to take some pictures of us because everyone needs to see that. Seriously.

And don't be surprised if in the near future we start a new stock account together. Or have other artistic collaborations for that matter. They will be awesome.

And when things settle down off the net I'll get some more art up too.

So you might wonder why I'm bothering with an update at all. I probably shouldn't have wasted the time but what else have I got to do when the internet is screwed up?

The real point of this is that today, during a brief working period, I found that the worst drawing in my gallery was stolen. I found it on a website that sells designs for wedding invitations and things of that nature. They had cleaned it up a little and changed it to blue. It's a Celtic design so I didn't think much of it at first until I clicked the thumb and realized that they didn't just draw the same knot, they actually stole mine. I know this because it is a sloppy drawing, there are a lot of flaws and this blue version had every single one of my flaws. Hmm... Interesting, no?

I thought so. I don't really think I can complain though since the design didn't come out of my head. It's a Celtic design I've seen a lot. I just drew my own version of it because I felt like it. Why they were too lazy to draw their own I don't know. I just find it weird and apparently update worthy.

Things have gotten just a little bit crazier in my life. I couldn't be artistic right now even if I wanted to be. And I do want to be But we have about three weeks in which to move. Some of you know I've been trying to get us out of this dump for over a year now. But now it's a "have to" situation. I'm a little excited that we'll finally be getting out of this apartment and out of this town and back to a place we actually like.

But I'd feel a lot better if we actually had a place to move into, if I could actually go there to look for a place... and a job wouldn't hurt even if I do feel yucky.

Uck, and my subscription's about to run out and with the moving I'm not going to be able to renew it, which sucks. A lot. In case you didn't know.

So... my apartment is in a horrible state of dissaray. A lot of things are packed and a lot of things are pushed into groups waiting to be packed. The place is a right mess. It makes me want to scream. I truly wish I could just leave everything here and get new stuff. *sigh* That would be so nice.

It sucks when you don't own any nice things because everything you have was given to you by someone else because it wasn't good enough to begin with. I'd like to have my own things. I feel stifled with all of these things I hate, more than you could guess. Oh well, at least I have a cat and once we move... if we can get the right place I get to have a dog! That makes me disturbingly happy. Plus the chinchilla will get a new cage and then he'll be happy too!

Not to mention the fact that once I get there I'll be free to bug ~dangerous-inept in person! Mwahahahaha!!

And my friend Sarah is there and maybe if I'm actually there I can finally force her to join dA because she's a great artist and people need to see her stuff. Because I said so.

And who knows once we get resettled you might see a massive influx of new art from me. Including those reqeusts. I hope

But until then I'll probably continue to be a little quiet. And hey, if anyone's on myspace or beststuff and wants a friend find me!

The world must have turned upside down and somehow I missed the note. And I'm really not trying to be annoying with my journal posts. I'm just a little shocked and confused and have been feeling a bit invisible everywhere (off line too) for far too long for this stuff to not throw me for a loop. Seriously. I'm sure that makes me weird or pathetic but... oh well.

I went to run some errands after finding that out and came back to find that I got Featured Member of the Week there as well. And I was given such a nice write up for it that I went all giggly and stupid. Seriously. Go read it.

These are wonderful, wonderful things that I did not expect and I certainly didn't expect anything else to happen. But today I logged on to find that my newest picture has been featured, along with tons of other great art, in the Season Features #4: Valentines Day news article. I certainly wasn't expecting that.

I am unbelievably appreciative and surprised. I'm really not sure where any of this came from. I rarely get comments or fav's on anything so to have all of this in such a short space of time definitely makes me wonder what the hell is going on and how did I miss it? O_o

And on that note I want to thank everyone who watches me, everyone who has ever commented or faved or just looked at any of my stuff because you really have no idea how much that means to me. So... thank you! From the bottom of my heart!
