I watched Futurama yesterday, the first one, where Farnsworth shows them all his drawer with a wires of different sizes. Today, in my lab, they showed me the drawer with different lengths of wire. Eerie.

Semester starts Tuesday, taking kinetics, xport 2, and chaos theory. So have to escape while I can.

I'll be in Prague, living off Wenceslas Square, this summer, from May 26 to August 4. I am teaching myself Czech with some tapes, but I have a nice head start having taken Russian, which is another Slavic language. Yay eastern europe!

Let's take it from the top.

It's finals week. Of my four classes, three are right on a boundary.
In 26 days, I start work for Anheuser Busch in Newark, New Jersey. For this, I need an apartment, because the commute from home would be a little rough. As in.... 15 or so hours each way... I have not even started to look seriously. Thank god for friends in distant places.
As I will not be *here* next semester, *all* of my things must leave my room here. Then, I must fit my life in a Ford Focus... for the eastward haul.
As I would hate living in the dorms again next year, I must locate housing for next fall. It is sad to know that I have had more progress on that than the one in less than a month.
I must delay *all* my scholarships until next fall. Most are easy, but some have some bitchy paperwork.
Serious health problems will have my bro in the hospital til about when I have to leave for Jersey. All the responsiblities/headaches/distractions associated with that.
Leaving all my people here at school. There is a silver lining here, as I will be abandoning the dark presence that occupies part of my room. No, not you, Ivan.
Christmas. Freaking hell, I haven't even begun!!

When it rains, it pours. Woowee and how. Also, I definately have to party it up around here, in my last 40 hours or so. The grains fall through the hour glass ever so subtly. I am a brunette now. Haha. So I am going to (date indeterminate) make a new profile with my long dark locks. My old pic just so isnt what I look like anymore, and I am lacking the time to draw something. So I have this photo I will tinker with. But this weekend it is the con in rolla, so I am gone again, and then I come hopping back to karate, water polo, and all my nasty bad homework, waiting for me. It is so tempting to just not do it at all. So really, I think I currently owe my life to dr pepper.

Side note: what kind of devillish class is it when the tests are a slam dunk compared to the homework? It took less time, got a better grade, and counted for more. Honestly.

Wednesdays are tragically busy for me, a pain. So I basically was on the go from the start of the morning where i accidentally slept through organic chem (my roommate and i have the same alarm... this is a bad thing) and continued briskly until nine o clock when I went to see A Beautiful Mind over in Jessi Auditorium. I won't ruin the story of course. I love the whole math thing. As they were showing the house, I reminisced, "wow, that looks a lot like my aunt marce's house, and realized that, given the movie, it was probably about the same era. Then, I realized that today would've been her 84th birthday. It's so weird when people die. The general trend I must gather from her single exanple because she's the only person I've ever known who died. I still remember the whistling. Her birthday, the day she died. The funeral... worst experience of my life, and god, it's got my eyes watering. I can remember her height, her eye color, her hair color, the layout of her house. I can hear her laugh, soft, back in my mind. It's so odd. And I wanted to get an entry in before the clock passed twelve. At least I've remembered, and this is probably all I can do.

Soooo... yeah, I decided to burn the money and get the tablet. Wacom Intuos2 4x5, and it's pretty sweet. But it has inspired me back online, seeing as i have a million uncolored drawings where i look at it and think "well, i could mess wtih it, but i might mess up, and i'll color it when i get that tablet." *smile* that's current now. As promised, the Vironevaehn polytheistic system:

The Vironevaehn Gods:

The Vironevaehn gods came into mythological existence about forty years after founding. During the early years when technology fell out of existence, religion and superstition took hold. The pantheon follows below:
Tallor and Aitea- male and female identical twins, respectively. They rule the heavens together, and their offspring govern the six worlds.
Vale (Vah-lee) - ruler of the world of water. The children of Vale control the various oceans, lakes, rivers, and precipitations. It is said that Vale’s offspring; Tivus (ocean), Savel (rivers), Corve (Cor-vee, lakes), Tage (tah-ghee, rain), Sage (sah-ghee, snow), and Rage (rah-ghee, ice); were tears made animate, and that Tage, Sage, and Rage were created from one tear that split into three pieces. Tivus, Savel, and Corve’s offspring govern the specific bodies of water. Vale is considered a symbol of life and death, and her role in the mythology is very extensive, given the Vironevaehn paranoia of water.
Kosech- ruler of the world of rock. Kosech is the single childless of offspring of Tallor and Aitea, and his anger in this is evident in the twisted mountain rock that Vironevaeh sits upon. Earthquakes are said to be a result of Kosech’s fits of rage.
Aekad- ruler of the world of death. Aekad travels in a carriage of many wheels, as many wheels as exist humans. When the wheel turns full about, one person ceases to exist, and another enters existence. Some people live longer than others because the wheels turn at different speeds when Aekad’s chariot turns. Her carriage is drawn by two black vitsens, and to see a pair of black vitsens is considered to be a bad omen. Aekad suffers from illness that prevents her from walking. She has two offspring; Sydae, the ruler of dreams, and Kotig, the ruler of nightmares. Optimists are ruled by Sydae, and pessimists are ruled by Kotig.
Savalan- ruler of the world of life. Savalan has many descendents, but chief among these are three pairs- a pair of Foggs, a pair of Vironevaehns, and a pair of vitsens. They are called Sigta and Lotif, Alaeva and Markad, and Kadeta and Tekaed. They represent levels of existence, which in modern times is ascribed the terms id, ego, and superego. Sometimes Savalan and Aekad, sisters of life and death, are made parallel to Jait and Lytosyeh- the living and the dead.
Cyten- ruler of the world of air. Cyten is the governor of birds, and all creatures that fly. His only child, Latai, has two minds, one governs the moon, and one the clouds. The moon mind, feminine, is Ellatai, and the cloud mind, masculine, is Delatain.
Phlitik- ruler of the world of fire. Phlitik is father to the sun, Heelai, who is in turn mother to all stars.

And some Digurtian Legendry:

Dragons:
As legend tells, a race of master dragons used to inhabit Qua. They were all endowed with great telepathic and telekinetic abilities. They loved the digurtians, and attempted to teach them telepathy, with little success, but they hated one another. Every year or two, dragons would come together to mate, and after seven months, the female would lay the eggs, and never return. The first to hatch would kill the others.
Written records still exist from this time. Chief among these writings is a digurtian prophesy, seen and transcribed by cleric, about the race of dragons. This record told of the eventual self-elimination of dragons. Since the dragons never died except to disease or one another, the final dragon would live forever. During this time, the powers of this final dragon would grow, to the point of becoming an all-knowing being. After two thousand years, a great horn would grow from this dragon, and after 4400 more, this horn would separate and become a great sword. The record went on to say that in a million years, this sword would explode into 4000 dragons, which would eat the one dragon, and the cycle would start anew.
After some time, the dragons did bring themselves to extinction, but it was not known whether or not one had survived. This dragon of legend is referred to by digurtians as En’kel’tai’aia Sev. Seeing as most vironevaehns cannot pronounce this name, though, it is called Smaug by nondigurtians.
As time passed, most digurtians lost their faith in the old way. Still a few whispered the legend, and the legend found its way to the ear of Tempest. Tempest desired the dragon’s sword, (usually called the spectral-diamond sword), which was said to be the source of Smaug’s powers as an all-knowing being. She set forth on a telepathic quest of sorts, desiring to know the location. After a time, she located it, and left to retrieve it.

For the next several centuries, little happened as the islands fell into a sort of dark age. Means for mechanization were lost. Technologies that had previously been known on earth disappeared, with no available means to produce them. Medicine, missing its most sophisticated gadgets, became primitive. Heat and light were provided by fire.

Even before the official time that the Vironevaehns met the Digurtians, Digurtian influences can be seen in society. A hybrid digurtian/latin alphabet emerged. Stories of a latent being that slept beneath the mountain isles. Official first contact with the lanky, temperamental Digurtians took place in 2320. This contact sparked xenophobic wildfire, and many violent crimes were committed between the two races. The Digurtians blamed the Vironevaehns for the flooding of their subterranean society, destroyed in the floods. Only intervention by the Vitsens prevented a full-fledged conflict.

In reaction to this conflict and arising polytheistic currents on Vironevaeh, a group of insular and religious pacifists left Vironevaeh for Viro-Venevaeh. Because the -aeh spelling complex was a result of digurtian language influences, the Viro-Venevaehns called the Isle Viro-Veneva and themselves Venevians. As a result of this breakoff, many of the terran religions were maintained far more purely than they might have been otherwise.

Vironevaeh was founded in 2205 by a group of 1027 malcontents from earth. They are generally referred to as The 1000. On earth, The 1000 were led by Andine Kenda and Marcus Fueron. The 1000 left earth in a ship designed by John Trarce (TRAIR-say) and Jait Torwin (jai-EET), dubbed the Nevaeh (ne-VAH). Originally intending upon wandering the galaxy as a self-sustained colony, as others had done at the time, an accidental transportation by wormhole landed them by Vironevaeh (vir-o-neh-VAH). Vironevaeh sits in a system of five planets, two of the inhabitable. One of them is Vironevaeh, the other is called Naenaiaeh (NAY-nee-ah). Vironevaeh was a desert world, then, and Naenaiaeh a swamp world. Due to damage to the Nevaeh, it was decided that one of the planets would be colonized. To decide which, a party of five was sent to the surface of Vironevaeh. A visit to Naenaiaeh was to take place at a later date. The Five, as they are now called, consisted of Andine Kenda, Jait Torwin, Jemani Ora, Marcus Fueron, and Marcus younger sister Lytosyeh. Upon landing on the surface of Vironevaeh, it was decided that The Five would split into two groups. Jait and Lytosyeh, very close friends since before their departure from earth, went to investigate a range of high mountains. Jemani, Marcus, and Andine went to investigate possible water.

Since the only records of Jait and Lytosyeh's journey are legendary, it is difficult to depict their adventure entirely accurately .Lytosyeh suffered from an acute deficiency of von Willebrand factor, a factor necessary for the clotting of the blood. When Jait and Lytosyeh climbed into the mountains, they were attacked by a creature that destroys nervous tissue. Both died, and their bodies were obtained shortly thereafter by a species known as the Viro-Vitsens. A Viro-Vitsen is a very intelligent creature, reaching a maximum height of slightly over an inch. They have four legs dwindling to hooves, and two feathery wings. Depending upon a variety of factors, they exude a colored aura. Upon analysis of Jait and Lytosyeh, the highly advanced Vitsens were able to revive Jait, but due to complications from Lytosyeh's illness, she did not survive. The Vitsens altered Jait's DNA, causing her to be an eighth vitsen herself. They also manipulated her brain in order to teach her the Vitsen language, a language of clicks due to their lack of vocal chords. They strongly encouraged her to bring the colonization to the mountains, though they did not state their reasons. They also gave her amulets of rahaquim, which would repel the Foggs, the creatures that had attacked them. Jait returned from the mountains, to find Jemani, Andine, and Marcus, to tell them of the death, and to tell them that she'd found a hospitable location in the mountains.

The journey of Andine, Jemani, and Marcus is better documented. Upon reaching the lake, they discovered that it was covered with a strong, lightly woven mesh that heavily slow the rate of evaporation of the water into the hot dry atmosphere. Though they didn't know it then, it was the technology of a species they would not meet for another century. After speaking to Jait, they assumed it was Vitsen technology. Their trip was an uneventful one, and when they returned to the shuttle, they had nothing in particular to report, but their failure to find anything.

Upon hearing from Jait, it was decided that the colonization would take place in the mountains. Groundbreaking for the city of Vironevaeh took place on April 15, 2205. Jait was named queen of the fledgling government, for her bonds with the Vitsens. Some at the time felt snubbed, believing Andine to be the worthiest leader, although Andine did not seem to mind the appointment. In the following few years, Jait married Jemani, and Marcus married Andine. Jait had a son named Viro.

In 2208, The Hurricanes came upon Vironevaeh. It rained ceaselessly for many days, covering all the land over the entire planet. While the Rains fell, the Vironevaehns took shelter in the Vitsens empire, the hollowed mountain of Viro-Vit. When the rains stopped, the water only fell back far enough as to expose four mountain tops: the mountain of Vironevaeh, upon which they had been building, the mountain of Viro-Venevaeh, the mountain of Viro-Van, and the Vitsen stronghold on Viro-Vit. The rest of the planet was ocean. It has since been determined that the Rains were a result of the wormhole that had delivered The 1000 to Vironevaeh. Marcus Fueron, at the time, predicted that the calm was only the eye of an immense storm, a prophesy which has since been incorporated in the local mythology.
