• Step One
Make a journal post. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a _____ icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, or link to this post so that the holiday joy will spread.

Surf around your friendslist [on DA] to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

1. i expect payment for commissions BEFORE i start, and i'm sorry i didn't clarify this sooner.
if you want to use paypal to pay me, please TELL me you paid because i don't get a notification since it's in my sister's name, though i can use it with her permission.
this also goes for neopets... please tell me your username if you haven't already, and then notify me, because i might have missed the payment that has been sent. (this is rare) but, if you want to make SURE i don't think you've ripped me off or something, take a screenie of your payment sent, or your offer on a trade or shop item. C: this will guarantee that you get your commission. (though please don't fake it, i can probably look it up if i have to)
EXCEPTION:// unless i have stated that you can wait until a WIP or a rough outline, you DON'T need to have payment in until the time we've discussed
i hate to be a bitch on that, but i've had two people practically get free art from me because of this

2. i will be extremely busy for the next week, and i'll be out of town this thursday. i'll be going up to blowing rock for the weekend to tour Appalachian State University and visit my relatives. so expect maybe one piece of art this week if i get around to it.

3. to all you neopet art traders; i've sketched out all your trades, so please be patient with me. i'm severely behind on schoolwork and i have three days to finish all my assignments plus study for last minute tests, so please bear with me. they WILL be done.

4. i also need to apologize for lost art trades and whatnot. they're not really lost.. i have most of the ones that i'm "postponing" on a sticky note on my dashboard for my mac. i'm sorry, i've just been in a severe art block and "i don't wanna draw" mood, unless i really ask and get into it. so, once again, i'm sorry, i'll make it up to you guys somehow. and i know who most of you are.
