Her character details were released on the 5th of January 2009. She came in to stores on January 30th, 2009. Unlike the previous Vocaloids, Luka can sing in both Japanese and English. The name "Megurine" can be read in Japanese as the "sound that travels (the whole wide world)," and the name Luka invokes the homonymous Japanese words of "nagare" (flowing) and "ka" (song) or "kaori" (scent). Yuu Asakawa provides Luka's 'cool, yet husky feminine voice'. The manga artist Kei, who illustrated Miku, Rin, and Len, also designed her mascot. However, unlike previous mascots in the series, her costume is not based on a school uniform. Her character item is either a whip or frozen tuna. She is 20 and weighs 45kg (99 pounds). Musician and actor Gackt lent his voice and stage name for Kamui Gakupo. Yamaha wanted to utilize the voice of a musician but felt it would be difficult to acquire cooperation. They consulted Dwango (new owner of Vocaloid publisher Internet Co. Ltd.), who suggested Gackt, as Gackt had previously provided his voice for Dwango's cell phone services. Referred to alternately as Gakupoid or Gackpoid, the most recent release includes a new program, OPUS Express, for mixing vocal parts with accompaniment and phoneme data. The new software will be available for download for users with registered copies of previous Vocaloids. Besides the new program, Gackpoid will include two of Gackt's songs and three example songs. The product was originally intended to be released in June 2008, but although Gackt existed as a model for the Vocaloid, it lacked an illustrated avatar to match the previous Vocaloids. Popular manga authorKentarou Miura, famous for his dark fantasy epic Berserk, was approached. Due to Miura's affection for Nico Nico Douga, he agreed to offer his services as character designer for free. As a fan of Berserk, Gackt was more than happy with this arrangement, and requested Miura's sketches be faxed to him as well as the developers, even though he was on location for the filming of Guy Moshe's [Bunraku]. They actually are lovers, but Subara wants to keep it secret, having a fear that they won't be liked by their Master anymore, and be uninstalled.

Haruna Kagamine is a 13-years-old girl who is a far relative of the Kagamine twins. Her birthday is on 21st December. She prefers J-pop songs, and her voice is Tsundere-like. Her favourite colour is blue. Her item is her magical sapphire necklace.
She loves music so much, and is able to play various musical instruments, such as keyboard, guitar, bass, drum, and can mix songs in DJ booths. She knows thousand of songs in different genres (classical, blues, pop, etc) and can dance well according to the music. She is often seen in a dance studio or a music shop.
She is a friendly and easygoing girl, and loves to hang out with the twins. But, she can be sensitive if she is mad or sad (one case her guitar was broken down by Len accidentally and she didn't eat for 2 days).

Daniiru Mayara (Danii May-are-uh) is 15 who has a bit of a crush on Kaito She's outgoing and willing, and fears nothing. When she was 12 her parents died and Akaito and Neru took her in and taught her how to sing. She now sings J-rock, Metal, Hard Rock, and Rock in general. Even when she's not listening to them, she at least hs her headphones around her neck. She loves cookies (of the chocolate chip veriety) but also loves sour junk. Whenever she wants to stay with Kaito, she takes down her ribons and looks up at (the much taller) Kaito, lovingly.

The video does not have to be a Vocaloid singing it could be one danceing to CaramellDansen or Lucky Star or even just a tribute. Any video is fine as long as it is Vocaloid related. Most videos though are Vocaloids singing.

There may be more then one video for a song, but thats alright.

If there is a beside a video, it means the video works but I can't get the link to work. I am still working on it so hopefully it will be fixed soon.

He utilizes the older Vocaloid engine, the predecessor for Vocaloid2, and his voice is completely computer synthesized thus is less smooth sounding. The voice was supplied by Naoto Fuga. Although rougher sounding, Kaito and his sibling Meiko are able to incorporate much broader voice range than Miku and Rin/Len. He is fit to sing anything from hymns and children's songs to R & B and pop, though the style that he is best used for is singing pop ballads. As a mascot character, he is the older brother figure for the entire Vocaloid group, frequently called "Oni-san". Kaito is often the brunt of abuse from the 'family', often getting rolled over by the twins' steam-roller. He wears a white coat and a blue muffler. His character item is ice cream, which he is very fond of. In particular, he loves the Häagen Dazs brand. His height is 178cm (5'8").

Akaito is the 'twin' brother of Kaito. He uses an octave lower voice than Kaito, and has red clothing, as well as red hair. His item is a Habanero Pepper, and is depicted at least once to have interest with Neru.

The name of the title and the character of the software was chosen by combining Hatsu (初, First?), Ne (音, Sound?), and Miku (未来, Future?). The data for the voice was created by actually sampling the voice of Saki Fujita, a Japanese voice actress. Unlike general purpose speech synthesizers, the software is tuned to create J-pop songs commonly heard in anime, but it is possible to create songs from other genres. Her character item is a leek and her height is 163 cm (5'3"). Nico Nico Douga played a fundamental role in the recognition and popularity of the software. Soon after the release of the software, users of Nico Nico Douga started posting videos with songs created by the software. According to Crypton, a popular video with a comically-altered Miku holding a leek, singing Ievan Polkka, presented multifarious possibilities of applying the software in multimedia content creation. As the recognition and popularity of the software grew, Nico Nico Douga became a place for collaborate content creation. Popular original songs written by a user would generate illustrations, animation in 2D and 3D, and remixes by other users. Other creators would show their unfinished work and ask for ideas. On October 18, 2007, an Internet BBS website reported that she was suspected to be victim of censorship by Google and Yahoo!, since images of Miku did not show up on the image searches. Google and Yahoo denied any censorship on their part, blaming the missing images on a bug that does not only affect "Hatsune Miku" and related keywords but other search keywords as well. Both companies expressed a willingness to fix the problem as soon as possible. Images of Miku were relisted on Yahoo on October 19. A manga called Maker Hikōshiki Hatsune Mix began serialization in the Japanese manga magazine Comic Rush on November 26, 2007, published by Jive. The manga is drawn by Kei, the original character designer for Miku. A second manga called Hachune Miku no Nichijō Roipara! drawn by Ontama began serialization in the manga magazine Comp Ace on December 26, 2007, published by Kadokawa Shoten. Her first appearance in an anime is in (Zoku) Sayonara Zetsubō Sensei. For online multi-player games, the Japanese version of PangYa started a campaign with Hatsune Miku on May 22, 2008 in which she is included as one of the characters. Her first appearance in a video game is in 13-sai no Hello Work DS (13歳のハローワークDS, 13-sai no Hello Work DS?) for the Nintendo DS where she is included as one of the characters.

Miku Hachune is a chibified leek-wielding Miku. She is often seen in videos as the blank-eyed doll-like figure with a gaping mouth. She is most famous for featuring in Miku Hatsune's version of Ievan Pollka.

Black Rock Shooter is the result of a collaboration between RYO (music) and HUKE (character and video). She is much like a black clad Miku Hatsune and has a giant rocket launcher attached to her left arm, and her left eye turns into a blue flame.

Miku Kagamine is the name taken by Kagami Hiiragi in the Lucky Star OVA when she cosplays [Miku Hatsune].

Niku Yakune is a prehistoric-styled Miku who has dotted eyes. Her character item is a grilled lump of meat on a bone, which she is often found eating.

Niku Shuune has short, pink hair with puffs on either side of her head, and wears a white apron-dress over a light blue skirt, as well as red knee-high socks and long white boots. Her armwarmers are white.

Their family name was chosen by combining Kagami (鏡, Mirror?), Ne (音, Sound?), with the first syllables of their given names a pun on "Left" and "Right". According to Crypton's official blog, the package includes two voice banks: one for Rin and another for Len, both provided by the seiyÅ« Asami Shimoda. Despite the double voice banks, the package still sells at the same price as Miku Hatsune. They were released on December 27, 2007. On June 12, 2008, Crypton announced the updated edition, named "act2", will be released in early July 2008. Users who had bought the old version will get a expansion disc free of charge. On June 18, 2008, beta demonstration songs using the new version were released on the company's official blog. The act.2 version is an independent installation, and coexists with the initial software. They are 14 years old. Their best range is F#3~C#5. Len's favorite gene is Pop dance and rock/pop-pop songs - Enka while Rin's is Electro-pop and rock/pop-pop songs - Enka. Rin's height is 152 cm (4'9") and her weight is 43 kg (94.79 lbs). Len's height is 156 cm (5'1") and his weight is 47 kg (103 lbs). Len's character item is a banana and Rin's is an orange but they also have their very well-known Road Roller (Steam Roller).

Uta & Yume Kokorone have violet hair. Their outfits are black and white, with a violet tie. Yume's hair is parted in the center, and she uses an actual bow for her collar. Uta's ponytail is set low, and his hair is slightly longer than Len's. Their sleeves are long, and end in a black cuff with a violet stripe.

Rei & Rui Kageoto are Shadow versions of the twins. Their family name comes from 影 kage which means shadow, and 音 oto which means sound. Both have black hair, white shoes with pale yellow trim, and elf-ear-like earphones. 'Rei wears long gray pants a black vest, and black sleeves. His hair is let down; only the back is shoulder length, while the front is short. Intelligent, but with a gruff and hard-headed personality. He has a habit of saying 'ルイに触るな ( Rui ni shokuru na!) Rui looks very ladylike with her gray skirt. She also has the black vest, with a ragged white undershirt, and black tights. However, she does have a flaw: her impulsive yandereness. This comes from her overprotective streak for her brother.

Dell Honne is Haku's younger brother, who is based off of Len and is always smoking. He represents failed Len users/songs. He is conceptualized by Caffein, the same artist who illustrated and conceptualized Haku.

Ron & Ran Sakane are black and red versions of Len and Rin. Both have red eyes and black hair. Ron does not have Len's ahoge, while Ran has a ponytail and Len's bangs. Ran's shirt is considerably longer than Rin's.

Retsu & Sen Kazamine are indigo versions of the twins. Sen has her hair tied up in two small ponytails with white ties, and wears a white miniskirt. The collars and sleeves are dark green. Retsu has a sailor cap, and his item is an accordian. Collectively, their character item is a green pinwheel.

Kai & Kana Ainone are much gentler, pastel-blue haired twins. Kana has long hair that spreads out like a cape even though it is in a ponytail. Their headphones have a pink heart on them, and their tattoes are hearts. Kana wears a white vest that ties in the back with a pink bow, and garters. Their trim is pink, while the sleeves and skirt are blue.

She is a mascot for those who could not produce a beautiful sound from Miku. She is created from one 2channer's complaint of "I bought Miku, but all I could get was mechanical grumbling." Her family name means "speaking small words" and she is always drunk due to her inability to sing like Miku. Usually depicted as always crying and drunk, but may vary according to artists. She is coined and illustrated by Caffein, a Japanese artist. Mikumikudance 3.0 was recently updated with Hakuhakudance, which let users choreograph Haku’s dancing.

Neru Akita is another well-known fan Vocaloid. She is a supposed otaku-hating friend (or rival) of Miku's and uses Miku's higher voice. Her name in phonetic reading sounds like “I’m tired. Gonna go to sleep.” (Ah, kita. Neru.) She is also depicted as the anti-hero or villain to Miku, and occasionally portrayed as a Miku wannabe. Her origins are as a meme on 2chan, where a troll user began to fill all Vocaloid related threads with negative content. An anonymous user commented that he would not get angry only if the troll was a cute girl. Thus Neru, a tsundere non-Vocaloid net-chara was born. There is no artist or group credited for her conceptualization or illustration, although Caffein (the same artist who illustrates Haku) draws Neru at times. She mainly represents forum/bbs trolls, those who don’t have enough patience to use the Vocaloid software, or those who gave up using Vocaloid. Her younger brother is Akita Nero. She is age 17, her height is 150 cm (4'9" feet) and her weight is 38 kg (83 lbs). Her character item is a yellow cellphone.

Sai Tonarine is the name taken by a Nicovideo user who modifies her voice to sound like a Vocaloid. Her name comes from how she was afraid the neighbours would protest because of her loud singing. Her outfit is a pink version of Miku's, with the exception of wearing bike shorts instead of a skirt.

Miru Amane is a damaged vocaloid derivative whose color scheme is the same as Yowane Haku's. She has a bandage over her right eye, and long blue-black hair. Her clothes consist of black racing briefs, an unbuttoned grey blouse, and no socks.

Giru Kyoune is a patient in a mental hospital. Her hair is mainly green with various highlights in it, and she wears one striped knee-high sock on her right leg. Her hospital dress is ripped and she has a blue bandage on her right arm, which she gets mad when people look at it. Her item is carrots.

Mete Mouya is a shy girl with green hair. Her name comes from the phrase 'Mou, yamete!' meaning "Please stop!".

Riiza Sotone is a supposed Christmas '08 release that will focus on singing songs from foreign languages, especially obscure ones. She is a Miku Hatsune deriviate. Her surname means 'Foreign sound'. Her character item is a chocolate bar, a dictionary and an Asus EEE. She is very work-orientated, and will stay in her room until she perfects what she's been told to sing.

Iku Acme is a voice synthesizing engine much like Vocaloid, but is made to create ero sounds, instead of singing. It is manufactured by the group StudioS, and voiced by Sayaka Keina. It can voice the 50 Japanese consonants along with several hundred terms to sound like a recreation of an eroge. There are a few extras, such as the ability to insert your own special sound effects.

Teto Kasane is a voice bank made for a freeware spin-off of Vocaloid named UTAU. Her item is a loaf of french bread. She was originally designed as an April Fools joke by 2ch users to trick Nico Nico Douga users into thinking she is a new Vocaloid from Crypton Future Media, but was eventually turned into an independent character.
As being part of the April Fools joke, she is originally depicted as 31 years old. This was later clarified as being half-chimera, making her 15 years old in her human form. Her height is 159.5 cm or 5'2" feet. Her weight is 47 kg or 103 lbs. Her tempo range is in between 70-150bpm, and as of the latest soundbank release by vip@2ch, her desirable pitch range is between a3 to e5.

Defoko is the default voice data bank for the spin-off freeware, UTAU. Her name literally means 'default child'. When illustrated, Defoko has mid-length, short, plum colored hair that matches her tie. Her voice is rather airy and robotic. She is rather hard to use for her voice is not human based.

Momo Momone is the second voice for UTAU. Her voice is easier to control then Defoko. Even though it is human based Momo still sounds airy and robotic, but not as much as Defoko; her voice sounds softer then her predecessor. When drawn she is seen to have shoulder length orange hair that has white barrettes in her bangs and white earphone set. She wears a green hat on top of her hair. Her outfit is seen to be a classic school uniform of green and white (white short sleeve shirt green skirt green collar) and a red necktie. Her voice is MOE.

Mako Nagone is also human based. Her voice comes from an amateur singer on NicoNico, her voice is easier to control being more stable and human like then the other two before her. She is not MOE. She is known to be the preferred UTAU for beginners. When drawn she is known to have light purple hair that is usually held in a pony tail. She wears a white headphone set with a giant white bow in her hair (like Rin Kagamine but bigger.)
Her outfit consists of a ninja type outfit with a short netted shirt with a white scarf. A black robe on top with a giant red bow around her waist and her arms are bandaged mimicking the Vocaloid's arm gear.
