Let's say Stocker_00 purchases the rights to a royalty-free stock photo from a website and uses it to make a Photoshop brush. They make the brush available for download on their website and give permission to others to use the brush as they like. Now along comes Designer-guy. Can he use that brush on something for commercial or private use? Can he use it on something he's selling to a client, for example?

1. Pictures of your cat are art. No matter WHAT it is doing at the time.
2. Pictures of yourself kissing a mirror are always sexy.
3. The quality of your art is determined by your page views NOT the other way around.
4. It is always polite to tell girls how hot they are and offer to do nasty things to them. It makes them feel apreciated as artists.
5. Blood makes any picture better. If a picture isn't looking quite how you want it to, you probably didn't add enough blood.
6. Screenshots of your WoW character dancing are hilarious!
7. If it's in your Scraps section, it doesn't violate copyright.
8. People with different views from yourself are just too stupid to see things your way. You can get through to them by flaming.
9. Someone else's comment section is a good place for free advertising. Use this to your full advantage!
10. If you're not an attractive young girl, PLEASE refrain from posting stock photography. It just bogs down the search engine.

I'm in the market for a new monitor as mine has recently started screetching and the viewable area seems to shrink and expand randomly.

I mostly do graphic design stuff, primarily in Photoshop (business cards, flyers, stuff like that with lots of bright colors,) but have been moving into the 3D area recently as well (Bryce, Maya, Poser, etc.)

My question is this: as a budding computer artist, should I be looking at LCD or CRT monitors?

I know all the differences in price and desk space, stuff like that. What I'm looking for are artists' opinions on the difference between contrast ratio, clarity, and color definition between CRT and LCD displays. I figure there must be Deviants out here with a good grasp on this kind of thing.
