Heya. Just had to show off mah new song. Trance, this time. Thumbs up for it were issued by Wytebred... and he doesn't like trance, so it HAS to be good. ^_^ [link]).ogg.

I'm about to place a 15 minute ban on phone calls. My ploy is to start fixing up some sort of meal... sandwich, TV dinner... whatever... then leave the phone since... well you HAVE to eat food, right? My ears should leave me because of loud music, not long phone conversations.

Does anyone have a phone that explodes after 15 minutes of use? That'd be handy.

Anyway, life is good in general. I get to go in for a root canal on Monday! ... What?

Hm... mild rant time.
People bash the RIAA without really knowing what they do. They just seem to fit under that general MEGACORPORATION sort of auroa... I guess they're not THAT horrible - but they do have their foot in a bucket of shit 99% of the time. (Note: If this defines horrible to you, let it be. I'm still irritated at Nickelback for copying their hit song structure in to TWO songs, exact chord progressions, tempo, drums and the like... do a search on google for You Remind Me Of Someday. Anyone telling me about how cool it sounds will be shot for ignorance.)

Anyway... the point that was going to be made. People would still download MP3s if CDs were $0.50, and the corps behind them were decent. (Though... if the corps were decen they'd stop complaining since it takes 5000 downloads to statistically incur the loss of one (1) album sale... you read right.) People look for excuses anywhere they can... Which can be applied to most things in life.

For example, homosexuals... a whole bunch of people are against them either because they're just scared or religiously inclined to hate them. They don't really have a reason to hate them, they just do. It's a scary and weird concept, to them, and most have never met one. It doesn't even bug me that they haven't met one and they pass judgement on the group/lifestyle/whatever. What does bug me is the fact they've never done research on the subject. (Let me just interject here that I liberally use the "I have gay friends" excuse for covering up anything I say... Also, they're just plain people... so stop flocking to them so you can make that excuse, damnit. ) For a school project, I threw together a paper containing PLENTY of reasons to hate homosexuals... search around online... trust me, you'll find a lot of 'proven factual bullshit' around about these people that happen to be oh so different. (Extra pepper on that sarcasm on the oh so different part.)

The sad part is, when inquired... NONE of these homophobes could give me a damn reason why they hated this group!... so, the paper failed it's initial purpose to stop me from going nuts when I heard anti-gay remarks, and made it worse because it pointed out their idiocy.

Okay... I need to go to bed before an eye socket blows.

Hey, something interesting actually happened in economics class... Our assignment was to create an advertisement for an undesireable product. The class had to present their ads. I created the iCrash. Anyway, that's not the interesting one.

Now here's the interesting one.

A kid who I will leave anonomous came up to the front of the class with a product called "Farm Boys." It had photos pasted of various people in grain fields... you know the type I'm talking about... anyway, he's standing next to the teacher... tries to hand it in without reading it to the class... and is asked to recite his ad.

"Okay. Farm Boys! The dirtiest magazine since Hustler!"

A few of us were trying to stifle our laughs for the rest of the text. Totally went over the majority of the class, same with the teacher.

This student is my hero now.

Okay, so I finally got of my arse and started writing some new music. Right now I have Project Rich Simmer and Vodka in the works... I'll reveal vodka once I'm a bit further on it, but I think Rich Simmer is ready for a preview.
Anyway, I think it's about album time for my music...^_^ Maybe another two or three weeks and I'll have the songs ready I want to put on there. 5 songs finished, 2 songs almost done, and 3 that need some work. . . and maybe a bonus track for the CD I'm thinking just a fun little track as a thankyou for paying for my music - err... which I'll try to keep the cost down if I decide to actually sell the album. Probably $6 or $7 including shipping, if possible.

As for a medical wellbeing report, I've developed a twitch in my right eye ever since I failed calculus, which today temporarily spread to my cheek. . . This is exactly why I don't have a webcam ^^
Okay - my 'angry' icon on DeviantArt has been sitting there for quite some time, so I thought I'd write a LJ post to give me an excuse to take that off.

I've got a new song done, though I haven't told many people. I've heard it's good driving music...
http://www.wytebred.net/~ice/404ice%20-% 20Confused%20Yet%20Again%20(Almost%20Fin ished,%20Hi%20Q%20Version).ogg

Or for you low bandwidth peeps... http://www.wytebred.net/~ice/404ice%20-% 20Confused%20Yet%20Again%20(Almost%20Fin ished,%20Small%20Version).ogg

And another one is in the works... http://www.wytebred.net/~ice/spurs%20of% 20the%20moment4.ogg
(just need to figure out how to make it just a tinge longer and finish it up...)

If you have problems with Ogg Vorbis files, get Winamp. (rant about="Ogg Vorbis" alternative_action="Get a sandwhich" ) Ogg vorbis compresses files much smaller than the MP3 codec does, and just about doubles the 'quality.' It will occasionally mess up solo pianos or other real simple insturmentation at low bitrates, but the quality on everything else is fantastic. (/rant)

*thinks* Umm. I got fabric to make a coon tail, so I guess that's cool. I've been playing Frequency like crazy... MAN that thing is so much fun. Thanks Barney! Eee...
*

Oh - for all of you that like Daft Punk, with maybe a little bit of BT flavoring, should check out Tankeo's song La Convoitise. http://www.tankeo.net - It's on there somewhere just browse around and pick up some sweet ass music while yer there.

Never mind that it's about 10:30 at night. So we go to exit the parking lot. Of course, we don't use the designated exit.

Right over the snow-covered lava pit we go... over an incline. At least we tried to. We got stuck in that pile of snow.... So now you see about three teenagers pushing a truck OVER the side of the parking lot, rocking it back and forth, in view of sparse traffic. I think it was more of a rush not getting stuck, but thinking someone could come by to help us... then notice the trail of cookies behind us in the snow. I don't think we'll be doing that again.

So after about fifteen minutes of pushing, we got out... and went back to listening about macrophillic turkeys courtesy of 2sense, and driving normally. We get back to somewhere we can stop and look at the truck. Thankfully the air intake was NOT plugged... but just about everything else was. Once the insides were cleaned out, there was a pile of snow underneath the truck.

We're also thinking of buying Thor for 2, or something else from zetacreations. (Don't blame me if you look those up... I will NOT be legally responsible for tainting your eyes.) You never know what sort of ideas you'll get over a few cups of coffee and a whole bunch of second hand smoke in the nonsmoking section. Anyway... that's my Sunday.

Okay, so I finally got one of those LiveJournal clients. These things rock. I can forget my password! *cheers* Meep.

I fell asleep on the couch at about 6 PM on friday... slept in to about 2AM, and when my alarm went off at about 7AM on Saturday.... somehow I got tired again. I guess it's a school thing. That reminds me, I have homework in most of my classes. *starts procrastinating*

So I cleaned out most of the basement and moved everything in the 'entertainment room' in to the future entertainment room. O.O Then I found out it was moot, since it has to be painted. D'oh! Well... at least the... stuff is easily movable now? Darn it, I can't play DDR... since it got unhooked. Speaking of which, I think my mom may be mad with me using ALL of the tape to hold down the pads.

So I guess I went for a late New Year's resolution. Do more artwork, try to do more commissions, make cash for... whatever. I might be going to Conifur! Yay! For all those of you who don't know what Conifur is... Ya probably don't care. <^o^> Use google or something, or go back to browsing newgrounds.com for the latest flash vids.

So that rock song I did is gradually gaining MORE popularity... I'm adding bits and pieces to it... and trying to stop myself from killing my cheap microphone as I try to record vocals. Anyone got a mixer or a mic preamp with a good vocal condenser microphone, or a fireplace? *chews on mic*

So that's how this weekend has been going so far. I wonder what's for dinner.

So, I started writing a rock tune. *does that shaytan greeting symbol with his right paw, gets a lighter with his left paw, and is decked out in mosh pit gear to fit the mood*

So far everyone I've asked absolutely LOVES this song... 'cept for one guy. O.O It's not even finished yet! Anyway, I'm going to add vocals to it later.

It all started out when some guy in one of my classes overheard I wrote music. Mochingly, he's "Oh he writes TECHNO on his computer." I told him I was bored of writing Techno (blatant evil lie) and I just write other stuff instead. O.O So I got home pissed and wrote this rock tune in about 20 or 30 minutes. I was hitting random notes with the keyboard on power chord mode and came out with it... refined it a bit... and voila! That was too easy!

So 'anyone can make Techno' people... Suck it! (Albeit early 90s style rave takes 20 minutes also to write on the computer... which is why I write mostly IDM and bigbeat. )

Oh, I think I've gone and done something dumb. I think I went and turned myself in to a raccoon. Oh well. *goes to join the army of coons trying to take over the planet*
