Contrary to popular belief, our procedure is relatively painless . . . unless the person resists. *ahem* I personally favour the sinus cavity removal method. [via magic wand] Much less messy. (those ancient egyptians knew what they were doing!) Most people don't believe in faeries at all, let alone cannibalistic ones. And that's fine and dandy with us. We never liked getting too much press anyway. Better to stay below the radar. Look what happened to Dracula! As soon as the mortals discover you're nibbling at their eldery, they start firing up the torches. *shakes head sadly*

In conclusion I would just like to randomly say - "Even the naughtiest of faeries has to do the laundry. And I really REALLY hate that. Sometimes minions are so useless! I'll bet super hero sidekicks do the laundry. I'll bet they even COOK too."

Myself and the amazing Ted Dottavio [link] will be sharing a booth in artist's alley. So stop by and say hello if you're going to be there! Our booth is called "Don't Poke the Faeries". I am way jazzed. So many of the artists and authors who I have worshiped since I was young will be there. Now if I could only drop these last 10 pounds so I can fit into my costume! lol

*insert naughty grin HERE* Actually it's VD for Valentine's Day. And the spread is not as fun as the title implies. (sorry! lol) AND this is awfully belated & should have been posted back in freakin Feb. when it actually happened. But how often do I get a chance to write in this? Or anything else for that matter? Hence why I do not livejournal. Working all the time + single motherhood = little time for pooter play.

But anyway, I had gone to the Dec. show of the Hellcat Girls Burlesque [link] and WHAT a blast that was! It also happened to take place the eve of my birthday. So it was a doubly good time. I did a bunch of shots (it was my first time shooting a live event) but I really dig how alot of them came out. Play magaizine picked up the photos as they were doing a spread (there's that word again! lol) on Burlesque for Valentine's Day. woo-hoo!

first journal entry!

So people have been asking me about purchasing prints & I KNOW I need to take a day & sit down & sort all this out. I will! I swear! I'm working on it. I want to have my prints 4 purchase gallery all sorted out before the cd hits the stores & in time for the holidays. I also need to update my website in the worst way!

This is my very first journal entry & kind of a shock to me that I actually have time to do it. For example - I SHOULD be editing right now! lol. But after the mad rush to get the cd images together over the last couple days, I'm pooped. (eeewww) *grin* Plus, it's getting ready to thunderstorm & I'll just have to turn the pooter off soon anyways.

2 more shoots this weekend that I am super looking forward to. (NOT looking forward to all the driving, the packing & unpacking. I HATE that) *sigh* But whadya gonna do? There's always something that is a pain in the ass. I'm looking forward to maybe 3 or 4 WHOLE DAYS next week to do nothing but edit! Yippee! Of course, that is not counting the almost 4 hours I spend everyday shlepping my daughter back & forth to her school. But at least she's safe & getting a good education.

This weekend I am doing alot of pin-up stuff as well as some old-time hollywood glam a`la George Hurrell - style. Then on sunday it's warrior princess & fantasy fairies! Maybe some Arthur Rackham inspired sets - we'll see how it goes.
