I have managed to get ALL my messages down to ZERO, a big fat juicy ZERO!
Ok yeh I never thanked everyone who faved my works but it took me several hours just to comment and fave everyone's work I had stored up for so long >.<
After the 200 odd deviation deletion (so sorry about that again guys) my pile had only gotten to about 60 odd but it feels so good to have gone through them all.

I am now FREE until september basically as today was our 2nd year portfolio hand-in day so other than a summer project which they'll dish out to us I will only have my own plans, artwork and things to do Which means HOPEFULLY I will be able to keep on top of things here...

Now anything I owe anyone - prizes and such for previous contests and what-not I want to get done. I have a trade on the go which needs started and I am working on one or two outside projects (maaaaybe for someone as a weel gifty-poo ) and I want to keep my arty life busy.
So please, if I owe you something then TELL ME. Get your reference pics to me so I can get busy with work whilst I live out the remainder of my time here in this flat. I'll need quite a bit to keep me occupied.

Gonna go have a rest now...all that thought-provoking commenting has wiped my brain >.<
And having a blocked up, stuffy nose does NOT help me feel any better >.<

Well, discovered him when I was in 6th year thanks to my teacher who let me borrow her book of his work. I fell in love with his wildlife illustrations from the moment I saw the cover. Since then I've always wanted to email him but never had the courage. A few weeks back when I was coming back to the Dee I got talking to a woman who was sitting next to me on the bus and she knew him! Thanks to her I was encouraged to finally get in touch with him; he responded.

I asked him a few questions and told him how much I admired his work, he said instead of firing emails back and forth I was more than welcome to head up to his gallery, see his studio and sketchbooks and even go out sketching with him; ah!
So today I headed up with three friends, they went off and entertained themselves whilst I spent four odd hours with Keith. Looked through his sketchbooks and work after he had a look at some of the work I brought him his to see - it was immense. His work looks good online and in books, but seeing the real pictures is just astounding, I don't know how he does it! Such rich colours and imaculate detail...he's just too talented for his own good!

We went out up to the glens and he showed me where he sketches and how to look out for wildlife. Basically what I need is a telescope - it's the only way to draw wildlife in the field. Binoculars help too! Sadly we never saw any hares, but here's a list of what I did see - lapwings (I even spotted a nesting one and we went to see her eggs, so sweet!), red shanks, curlews, buzzards, heron, three types of geese, several other waterfoul, red/black grouse and even an osprey sitting on her nest! It was one fantastic trip that really gave me an insight into the world of wildlife art...something I've never experienced for real.

So what's Keith like? He's a very quiet man, but knows exactly what he's talking about when he does. I think I exhausted myself simply by talking all day and asking him hundreds of questions to delve a little bit further into his life and how he got to where he is today. I will definately take this day with me and use the experience and knowledge whenever I can.

Here's to a great day out, even if it did wear me out! *chink*

Well...it just so happens that this morning I came up with a new idea for a wee series of paintings I could hopefully finish then try and sell in the gallery I have had previous works in.
What do people think about frogs? Three, maybe four, small-ish sized paintings that are colour based and the theme would be frogs. Red, yellow, blue and most obviously green were the colours I thought of as there are indeed frogs with such crazy colourings. It has more than likely been done so many times before but if anyone wants to experiment with colour then this animal is probably the best choice to do it with.

If anyone was, for example, redocorating a house and was trying to find some artwork that would fit the colour of a room find a painting of a colourful frog appealing?
I really need to get some more work done for this gallery and something that would actually be liked and admired by the public. My greyhound pieces have not sold what so ever and my fox sold within a few weeks of being put on display. I really need something good so that I can pay for the framing charges of those blasted greyhounds! What would people suggest?

I will be given a summer project to work on over summer from college at some point, but I need some personal work to do as well. I may take this to a poll and see what people can suggest if journals aren't taken notice of. I also have one more spot left for a trade is anyone is interested.
I have this last week to get my portfolio finished for second year, but I do hope to actually use what free time I have aferwards to crack down on work! And also to start commenting and getting active on DA again. My gallery is looking shameful...

Better go shower now as I'm starting to feel a little gross...cheerio folks!

That's me in Wales, and as far as I can tell these three weeks off will give me no such free time to keep up with DA. My deviant box has now over 300 things to go through...and there is no way on God's green earth that I'll manage that. I'm so disapointed because there were so many pieces I liked that I wanted to go through, comment on and fave - but it's just not going to happen I'm afraid! So sorry guys for doing this to you again (after the last journal I didn't delete, I saved them just in case but it's getting too much now).
I've noticed a rise in faves on my work and a massive decline in comments - so it's obvious I'm not the only one who's struggling. Thanks for looking at my pieces at least...I was rather chuffed with some of my Belonging works but most of the stuff I've been uploading lately has been a massive pile of poop.

That's what art college does to you apparently! Well that's what it's done to me evidently >.<

Ok, so how is everyone doing? All fine I hope! At least everyone's doing swell in their art

Wales is good so far - the weather today is pish sadly so I'm stuck inside doing nothing as dad is out working on the road. Went walking up the cliffs in the Deer Park on tuesday and along the beach yesterday, which was nice. We're having a party/bbq (depending on the weather) on Friday which should be fun, saturday I'm out with Annie and then we'll find sometime over the weekend and monday for us to go hunting down a digital SLR! That's gonna be my 21st birthday pressie, so I won't get it till July but dad's heading off to KL to visit a poorly friend after I go home and they'll be much cheaper over there, so we're just gonna have a browse and see what I need the most.
My phone camera has died sadly, so whilst the phone's getting sent off for repairs I'm stuck using my old phone which is very strange as I'm no longer used to using it! The camera at least works on it...even if it isn't as good as the new one. Better than nothing at all!

Not much else to say other than once more I'm so sorry. If there is anything you would like me to see specifically - let me know as I'd love to have a much smaller pile to browse through!

Yeeesss...

Well this time next week I'll be in Wales and taking advantage of the fact that for a whole week I will NOT be doing art. I have two whole weeks afterwards to work on my portfolio, so for the week in Wales I shall be doing sweet FA but enjoying my freedom *sighs* Just wish it would come faster dammit!

Thanks everyone who has faved 'Elephant - Belonging 1' and the ones that have followed - I'm still a little busy with all this stuff so commenting on everyone's page is a little too time-consuming. But I do appreciate it
It is so cheeky of me to get irked by people who fave and run when I've been doing nothing about the deviant load in my box...but I can't help it. When I do take the time to fave pieces I generally comment on everything. It's only curtious and everyone likes to know why and when their pieces of work are enjoyed.
I appreciate that people are even looking at my work and taking the time to browse it - but sometimes it just feels a bit...narf...

Ok...gotta get out my rant. FIN.

Moving on.
What have I done today? Well I got stripped down to my underwear and had white immulsion mixed with red poster paint smothered over my front, then I proceded to rub my body on a piece of frosted plastic. Was great fun!
This was for a flatmates art project by the way I'm not that freaky...yet...
I look so awful and rigid in the video when it's played back - but he's gonna edit it to make it look better THANK GOD.

Erm...not much else to update on right now. I shall get back to you all at a later date

Heeey guuyss...

Well I have another two weeks till the easter holidays, then I'm away to my dad's for the first week and a bit of it...which means my already high number of 155 deviations to comment on will sky rocket without me being able to keep track. I have this weekend off to do as I please and I'm going home...but with or without the laptop I'm not sure. So don't know if it's time to do another spring clean

I am doing far too often now adays and it makes me feel damned bad cause I save these deviations for a reason! You're all working so bloody hard and showing me fantastic pieces that I just don't have the time to comment on. Most of these I would fave but I hate favers and runners...so I refuse to stoop to their level!

Please, PLEASE tell me if there is anything specific out of your latest gallery upload that you would like some more attention - I promise I will comment. I mean it's the prospect of having to work into the 100's that gets to me...and yes it is MY fault for even letting it get that bad *groans*
Been busy as hell as you may have witnessed from the last journal...so please be gentle on me >.< I don't like doing the mass deletion...but sometimes it's the only way...

It is so obvious right now that I am procrastinating. It's not a good thing...but I can't help it! I have so much work to do it's unreal...I just don't know where to stop and start!
First off I have an essay and a doodle sheet due for next wednesday. Then there is the two week project to work on that finishes next friday...oh and lets not forget the Belonging project that I have only three and a bit weeks to do, that one includes a finished product AND research in a sketchbook. Seriously - I have no time for what I'm doing right now, and that's getting distracted! I just...need a break...this is what Uni is meant to be like I know, but I'm just not used to it, even college wasn't this stressful!

Urgh...I really should get my arse into gear and write some more. Hopefully I can get it finished by sunday so that way I have three days not to think about it (ha, we'll see how that one goes...). Hope everyone else is feeling less panicky about schools etc

Well, it's been a busy two weeks. Last week I spent my time making a chandalier into a pair of antlers and mounting them onto a plaque (ok really I just dismantled it and took the parts that looked like anlters and got the lovely Alan to help me make a plaque to put them on). This week I have painted the strange creature that they belonged to. Latin name: Odocoileus Imaginus ; Common Name - Immagine Deer (imm-a-jin)
No idea where it all came from really, but I'm rather chuffed with the way it's gone! Sadly my photo of the painting is awful, but I'll upload what I can. Waiting until the plaque is mounted before photographing it, then when the painting is framed and mounted I'll photograph them together to show you. Hopefully it'll all go to plan!

How've things been for everyone else? Sorry I've been so busy latey - got like 4 projects going on at once and it's getting stressful...my deviations have creeped back up to over 100 again...it may come to another mass deletion if I don't get a spare moment in my life to go through them
I'll warn you if it comes to that...but let's hope not...

Anyway, better go get munchies cause I is hungry.

Well I must say I've had an interesting day!

In the morning I started off feeling crappy (not feeling too well thanks to this cold or whatever that's getting passed around) and had to go hunting for a deer skull for my latest project; of course my hopes were not high.
Lynsey and my set off for the Recycling Centre in hope to find said objects and shoes for her own project, we went via the union to get some cash out incase we saw anything. As we arrived I noticed a little blackbird sitting outside the Premier shop, looking a little out of it with her beak wide open. Clearly she didn't look too good! I figure she must have flown into one of the windows and stunned herself pretty bad - it's happened so many times with the windows in our living room...sadly not all the birds live that do crash.

I really didn't want to leave her there to get trodden on or to simply just die - being where people walk isn't the best place for a wee thing like her. Lynsey felt bad too but wasn't sure how to handle the situation, so I went down and picked it up - planning on putting it in the bushes to rest in peace of course. It flapped a few times but pretty much just gave up and almost went limp in my hands. The heat of my hands I think helped bring it back and eventually it manage to hold onto my finger with it's feet.
Getting quite a few looks from folk I decided to move into the sun and sit on the pavement so that the wee thing could heat up herself. For a good half an hour she sat quite the thing on my hand basking in the sun and allowing me to stroke her. No fuss at all!
Eventually I put my hand to the ground to see if that would stimulate her, which it did and she hopped off. I'd hoped to hell she wouldn't poop on me, and when I looked down she'd pooped just as she'd hopped off my hand and not a spot was on me - how nice!

I think she was fine afterwards...it was so tempting to keep her but I knew better

In other news - my project started off being a little shit...but God am I feeling good this evening! I really should be writing more on my essay instead of this but nyeh. My tutors as well I think got an earfull of complaints from students in their feedback and are being so nice to us this time...things are finally looking up

The lovely *Kara-Wildsong makes beautiful hemp necklaces (or if you're interested she can also do bracelets or keychains using the same methods) with different knots to fit your taste and adds other little accessories that really add character to them. They really are lovely, and would make a great present for a loving friend - whatever the occassion!

Well hello thar chucks. News from me? Well I finally finished that god-awful four week project. And now...I'm onto another two week project
Well at least this time I'm prepared for the insolence of the tutors and to just do whatever the hell I want in the future. It's useless asking them as all I get in response is a set of staring eyeballs -_-; Hopefully the illustration 2 week project will be a lot more comfortable (it's just a pity that I want to specialise in Fine Art...)

Aaannyway. Good news for five of us here, we got ourselves an awesome flat for next year, can't wait to move in! It'll be £360 a month which includes bills. Yeh it's a bit pricey compared to what folk are getting, and we went on our first instincts to just get it when we saw it...but gawd it;s lovely. Big with two floors, two bathrooms, big bedrooms and it's a two minute walk if that from the art college. Poifect!

I really better go for a shower now actually...getting a little behind on schedule >.<

Sorry guys for totally whoring your deviant boxes - I got 187 photographs on friday thanks to Lynsey's uber sexy camera. They're mostly repeats of the same image - me just going mad and trying not to waste any minutes - so I saved just under 30 of them to show you all. There are also photographs of some deer, harris hawk and bengal eagle owl if anyone's interested? Or I could just give your boxes a bit of a breather for a while

I got a hell of a lot of faves on the wolf pics...so I'm sorry I can't thank everyone individually for those - cheers muchly though to those who did fave! I'm glad you like them, despite some of the blurry or slightly pixilated ones...I have never used that camera before so wasn't sure how to mess about with settings and such. I just stared out the veiw finder and snapped away till my finger froze in the cold >.<
I learnt something whilsy uploading these...typing 'european' over and over does actually get any easier...the amount of times I wrote 'earupoan' is ridiculous So if anyone notices one of the titles is weirdly spelt, let me know!

I need to get through my deviations again, considering I've just uploaded shed loads...but tonight is my flat mate's 18th birthday do out, so as much as I'm on a role the night it's not really plausible for me to get started now. It's already coming up to half 8pm and I'm sure drinking is gonna start at 9 as usual...and I am no where near to being ready - don't even know what I'm wearing!

Well yesterday I went to the Scottish Deer Centre to observe the wolves for my project which is still cirlcing around the 'I have no idea what the fuck I'm doing' area...bad news? I have only a week left. Gah!
Stupid twat that I am forgot to bring a good camera with me...I had my polaroid which proved pretty useless, my phone, even more useless, and a disposable which I used for one picture. I'm not joking with how cold it was, nearer the end of the day it started snowing, and I was sitting still in a toddlers play slide thing as it gave me a better view over the wolf enclosure. My arse was numb sitting down, and eventually my toes went numb. After an hour of watching and sketching I had to move to get the blood flowing.
I originally set out to the cafe for a wee cuppa, but went round the long way so I could nosey the other animals. Noticed that I was ten minutes late for the falcon show (I was the only bugger in the centre, for good reason considering the temperature) so the guy had nearly finished thinking no one was there to watch. But he was lovely and displayed the last falcon he had out then brought the owl out again just to show her off. He was nice and chatted to me more, but by that point I'd been out for a good 2 hours and was starting to stutter with the cold.

Hugged the radiator and my tea in the cafe, but was still shivering by the time I went out for the wolf feeding. The woman there was lovely and was asking me to speak to my tutors to see if we can get a group together to come and paint the kiddies indoor play area as it's looking a little bleak. She also said it might be nice to have an exhibition of folk's work if it came to that, so woo ^^

But yeh, at this point the snow had started and the wolves weren't up for hanging around so I went back to the cafe for another hotty. The buses were CRAP with their timings and I was worried I might miss the one I wanted so ended up sitting on a cold wall in the snow next to a 60mph road waiting for 20 minutes for my bus. Then at the next stop I waited a further half an hour. I was chilled to the bone. I have never been so cold in my life!
Tomorrow I have to go back...with a good camera to take some photees as I have fuck all other than a few crappy sketches to show for my day out -_-; I am such a tool...

Erm...not much else to report on. I'll catch up with deviations soon...really...I will >.<

Yeh apologies for that last journal. I wasn't having a paricularly good week, and that day a tutor just set me right off. I'd bitched and moaned to my friends about it so I never saw any bother in ranting and raving it all on here too. All you need to know is I've discovered like...no tutors in my first year studies that I actually LIKE, and all the ones teaching Fine Art (what I'm working on) are the three wankers who either I can't stand of they don't like/understand me. One I'd never met, the one who made me so angry I wanted to rip his head off, has swiftly went into my bad books of no return.

But anyway, I've got new ideas, a new motivation...and everything is...still not entriely spiffy. Dean and me are great, he was being arsey with me last week for stupid reasons and I was all paranoid and upset...then angry...not a good combination! That's all sorted though, so it's cool.

Just going through a bit of a downer spell. Personal issues just getting all niggly in my head - good thing my work is all based on the soul and emotions eh? *grunt*

Anyway...before I go off on a bitching or ranting session I'll stop now.

Ahh...here we go again...*sighs*

I got back to the fair ol' Dundee last friday and so far have had little to no time on the internet (mrow!). Dean came to visit Sunday night and is still here, going home tomorrow. It's been a bit rubbish cause I ain't been able to see him much (what did I expect with the whole 9-5 days) but he's going home tomorrow. It's been nice to come back to him and such, though not so fun having to tip-toe around him at 7.30 in the morning >.<
Nyeh, never mind!

Due to this I have been avoiding the laptop. Not to mention seeing all the ol' chaps again. I'll be staying here this weekend and partying so I WILL have free time hopefully to catch up on commenting before it reaches the 50 mark! It's sitting on 38 at the moment...let's hope it doesn't go much higher >.<

Right, so this semester what am I doing? 4 weeks of a project titled 'The Seeing Body' ... 'wtf?' I hear you ask? Well...no bloody idea at all I'm afraid.
We saw some slides of artists who put their own shit in a can, also an 'artist' who created a machine that makes shite all on it's own then vacume packs it! Wow!!! Like I wanted to know that ever existed or happened -_-;
I've explored some ideas, and think now that I'll be focusing on animal totems and such. Don't ask me why or what the fuck I'm gonna do with that...cause I still have 3 weeks to figure that out! At least our brief was easier to understand (to a degree) in comparison to Scuba and Olivia's one...where it literally tells them NOTHING. I feel sorry for them in that respect >.< Colin and that get to design their own film/storyboard and create an advertisement or it; so much easier and better! In all fairness I hate Design and Graphics, but God why did they get the easy task? Mrrooww...

Aaaannyhoo...gonna stop my rambling now. Thank you EVERYONE who hs favoured my 'Grip Fast' picture btw, I have gotten quite a few now and that's been added onto existing ones giving me 43 odd people to go thank...so I might just have to delete them all again -_- Sorry, but again thank you!!

Had a shitty day today. Woke up feeling shit, went to college wearing pretty good jeans cause I knew I wouldn't be doing anything messy, when I got up from my chair to go for a wee cuppa, turned out I had some white oil paints or something on my backside. ON DARK JEANS. Who the HELL leaves a white blob of random art crap on a chair for people to sit on?!?! Grrr... and it's all oily so highly likely it's not gonna come off
(My hair band snapped too, and Dean spilt water everywhere by accident...on the plus side for me it didn't touch my stuff, just his ...but he was very sweet to me. Went out with Murray and bought me a replacement hairband and a new one to go with it. Downside is he's saying I can't get pissed off with him for weeks now...WHATEVER!!

I've finally found myself in a really artsy spirit and I feel like I could draw forver, but I am leaving in an hours time to go meet some ol' college pals (which should be great fun!). I know my recent sketchbook uploads are not the best, but after skecthing the wolves the other night I've really gotten into a larger scaled drawing of one. Not sure how to judge the size cause it is half of a larger piece of paper I bought which was roughy A1 size...
Nearly finished the head anyway. Hopefully can work on it all day tomorrow and some of thursday...at least I aim to finish it before I go back up to the Dee on friday cause I know that when I get up there I'll have lost most of my motivation >.<

Looking forward to going back up actually, get back into college and see what new projects we'll be set and see if any of them can be made a little more personal (I seriously hope so).

Just thought I'd update this and let you all know I'm working away through my boredom

Ah! I finally worked through the deviations I had stored!!
Ok fair enough I had wittled it down to below 100 to make it easier for myself...but for the first time in like half a year I actually got through them all with comments
Sad to say I had over 50 faves/watches that I couldn't keep up with so I just deleted them all - but I would like it to be known that every watch and fave is appreciated greatly! Every little helps after all ^_^

In other news...
Went to the gallery where Foxy Foxy sold today to see how things were fetching with Carlo...thanks to the credit crunch not only are stores everywhere suffering and closing down that includes art galleries. Folk need their money for clothes and food, not artwork. He did say he'd keep my greyhound pictures up till after christmas and so far he said he's just gonna keep them up whilst there's a space on the wall to fill. So I'm thankful for that as it means I won't have to pay a framing fee just yet. Fingers crossed someone is interested soon! >.<

Starting to save up for a holiday in June with the gals; Debs and the gang. They go to Tenerife about twice a year, three if they're lucky and at last I've finally just thrown caution to the wind and said 'screw it, I'm coming too!' Very excited!
Yesterday it was Dean and mine's 3 and a half year anniversary, can't believe it's gonna be 4 years in July...that's just scary. But good too! Still very happy ^^

Hope all's well with everyone I'm in a very good mood now! Soon to be finished my painting for college, just got to add a quote into the bottom and tweak up on details on the wolf methinks...not sure what else to do to me right now...

Hope you all had a grand christmas and new year folks! Sorry for the delay in wishing it...I'm a mixture of lazy and busy with seeing peeps and family since my holidays started >.<

Christmas was hectic with my sisters and the kids, there were 10 of us for christmas day and even more for boxing day - I think my poor mum is so thankful it's all over! New Year was lovely and calm - just Dean and me sitting in his house drinking and munching snacks. We were passed out by about 12.20

I really need to get my backside into gear and head out - still sitting in bed when I'm meant to go meet a friend in an hour...I still need to shower and wash my hair. Gah the holidays offer up too much oppertunity to be lazy!
I have a big project to work on for going back to college and I haven't even started it yet. It's a self portrait project which I'm not really looking forward to as I've not drawn myself in years and...well...I'm not really that good at it -_-;

We'll see how that comes along...I have an idea how I'm gonna do it which some of my watchers might like - let's just hope it works out well!

Anyway yeh, better move. Let me know how you're all doing and how the end of '08 went!

Mini Rant Warning

The books = fantastic
Film - seriously questionable

Curiosity got the better of me and I decided to skip through a few scenes on an online movie website (I've not watched the whole thing, just a few scenes to get a flavour) and I must say I'm still seriously disapointed. The trailer had me annoyed, and I thought maybe with the good reviews it's been getting I'd like it more...but no. The acting is the main thing that's ticked me off with it. Bella is so badly played! She's a good actress, but she can't play Bella. From my perspective on the book, Bella was weak as a human, but as a character she was strong, witty and sarcastic. And in the film she just comes across as pathetic and in need of speaking with more oomph, she's just too whispy and blah. Iono...just my personal opinion as I know everyone's perspecitive on books is completely different.

ANYHOO

I'm home for christmas, my sister and the kids are up so they've been clinging onto me whilst I've been in the house. Aimee's sleeping in my bed tonight...so here's hoping I won't crush her in my sleep >.<
Considering I'll probably be up early in the morning thanks to children ebing children...so bed right now would actually be a clever idea methinks.

Suffering all week from the flu, which at first I thought was just a cold but then went really bad and I was bedbound -_-;
Now I'm slowly starting to get better (ever so slowly) and my flatmates are starting to suffer too, of course they're blaming me for it! Damn them...

Sucky week, though the exam I sat yesterday? Got the top grade for it, oh yes! So was not expecting that seeing as I was dying and couldn't breathe through most of it >.< Never the less that brightened up my spirits. Sadly I felt quite crap again because I couldn't go to the christmas party with everyone cause I wasn't feeling well enough Worse still they told me how good it was this morning...least I got to stay in eat pizza and watch the Dark Knight. That's a plus?

Erm...did our secret santas today, I finished a pet portrait in time for christmas and the flatmates are now preparing a roast in our rather disgusting kitchen. They're playing loud heavy music which is giving me a headache through the walls...so I think it'll be best I just remain cooped up in my room >.<

I'll be going home on monday, so I will spend my 4 weeks off catching up on here, diong my christmas portrait project and just trying to settle things down again. Sorry again for being shit >.<

Right, time I think for an update on my life and why I'm still an abscent little minion from DA (still very sorry about that folks >.< )

Well college is getting tiring. I'm used to having some form of holiday around October, but of course we don't get one at Uni so the next holiday is christmas, and that can't be struggling along any slower than it already is! Having to do a new project every week and rushing through it to try and make up enough work for it is a struggle. By the end of each day I wanna just plonk down and watch TV (but we don't have TV...so dvds are our next best thing). Either that or read a good book, which I'm slowly getting through Breaking Dawn, the last in the Twilight series.
BEfore anyone asks, no I will not be seeing the film. It looks utter pish. I love the books, each to their own I understand why some people don't like then, but I hate how big this film looks and also how shite it looks - the trailer at least shows no justice for the book! And don't get me started on all these Edward fanatics. Yes he's a total dream-boat and if I met him in my dreams I wouldn't say no. But seriously. People need to get a life.

Erm...yeh next week we have an exam. An exam in art? Ah! It's mutliple choice, and apparently even a monkey can't fail it. Let's see a show of hands now on who thinks I'll be the first to prove them wrong? Yup...it's gonna happen >.<

I should be sitting revising for that, but no, after a day of printing the same images over and over again...I think I'm gonna go hunt down my dinner and snuggle up in my duvet. Hopefully tonight my sleep won't be disturbed by slamming doors or over excited roommates playing effing video games -_-;

I'm so sorry for being so inactive and unresponsive and stuff, it's just so hard to find the motivation when I have such a busy day then like zilch time to myself at the weekends now. I literally have...no time. And the time I do have to myself in the evenings I don't even spend on the internet anymore, I read or draw (forever doing art!) or sit with my flat mates and chill. I just can't cope with the added pressure of DA or even TS now on my mind. I just need a break -_-;

God I've been so lame here...totally abandoned the good ol' DA >.<

I have been busy with college and weekends are consumed with travelling, seeing Dean and just doing stuff. Basically, RL has consumed me! I do get evenings like tonight where I take time to myself and just become a hermit in my room - but after a long day of constant painting I'm generally in a very drained mode and can't actually work up any energy to do something productive online -_-;

Tonight I'm determined to re-start this bastard of a Pet Portrait for my dentist receptionist...it's going to seriously kill me *whines*
Though the painting I'm working on this week I'm quite chuffed with...despite the bitchy background. So hopefully I'll have something to show! Though it's an A1 size piece so you'll have to make-do with a photo of it...All I'm going to say about it is 'ig skeleton, boxer, bird...' then you'll just have to wait and see

Seriously...skeletons? Bastards and a half to paint! I forgot how hard it was ti paint in detail...it's no fun. I wants to use my pencils!! Gah...next week actually we only have to go in Monday morning and Thursdays for lectures as t's a personal project week. Woo-age! Some free time to MYSELF! *hugs free time*

For all those people out there who now hate me titling my journal as such...you are now aware of how I feel EVERYDAY FOR THE REST OF MY STUDENT LIFE!!!

Yes, after Collin - roommate - said something that reminded me of such a thing, the whole floor of our flats has done everything in their bloody power to make sure we remember it everyday -_-; they get annoyed at themselves, but to be honest (damn you Collin ) it was your own bloody fault for spray painting 'I just lost the game' on the chairs you stole!!! Nya!!

Ahem...anyway...

An update on my life? Well I have successfully moved into Halls and met a bunch of random tools who I am loving...and hating at the same time >.< Fresher's week has come and gone and despite me not getting as hammered as I thought I might, my voice has still gone and I sound like a croaky ol' toad!
First class started today, and as I suspected it was nothing but drawing shite. We have four tables set up of random crap, and everyday we visit a new table to draw more and more crap! I knew this would happen -_-; I swear it better get better as the weeks go on, otherwise I'll be very moo-ed off.
Though the picture I did was ok...I ended up getting so bored I doodles myself a giraffe and called him Melmin; yes I know I stole it from Madagascar. Twas fun though considering we have to do 9-5 everyday other than thursday when it's 11-4 for lectures, we get two and a half hours worth of breaks in the day

Not sure what else to update on...apologies again for my lack of commenting. I have a nice pile in the hundreds once more -_-; I will get through them as soon as I get time and motivation. Deal? No Deal? Tough, deal with it >.<

Kerry has been a naughty girl...she's been lazy again and has sadly let the deviations pile up again >.<
I'm currently sitting on 66 which isn't too bad but I really need to get rid of them before the weekend. So hopefully tomorrow or friday when I'm free (not really...I have a LOT of work to be doing) I can get it done.
Also I have 38 faves/watches that I haven't gotten around to thanking people for...and I don't think I'll be able to get through them as well as deviations with all the cafuffle of life -_-;
So I'd just like to thank you all sooo much for your support, the faves and watches - I really do appreciate everyone you give! Love ya all

In other news, I went and discovered a forum for Pet Portrait and Wildlife Artists that I had to of course go and join >.< So yeh, like I have time for this place and TS, but here's another site to add to my list *shoots self*

Now for the big news..

Saturday the 13th I'll be moving up to Dundee to start my first year studies at Dundee Art College! So scared and nervous but really REALLY looking forward to it!
I can't garuntee my free time and availability online yet as I don't know the situation, but as soon as I get settled and figure things out I'll let you all know how things are going ^_^
All I ask is for a wee bit of luck, as I don't always make the best first impressions...and I have to live with quite a few people I've never met yet >.< knowing my luck they'll all have done the clever thing and joined the uni website and got to know each other beforehand *grumbles*

Erm...not sure what else to say really. I have five pieces of artwork going up in my town's little gallery for sale. The three Happy Greyhound Images, Foxy Foxy and a greyhounfd painting I never got the chance to put up. So finger's crossed people are interesed!!

Well last week I made a wee visit to the Riccio Gallery in Dalkeith to check out what the chances were of me putting some art in there and selling it. The owner Carlo told me to bring some stuff in, so today I did and he might put up 9 pieces altogether of my stuff

I am fully aware that the quality of my work is no where near as good as the rest of the art on sale, and that if it doesn't sell I may have some fees to pay (which kinda scares me more than anything).
This is how it works...roughly >.<

He measured out the A2 image 'Run For Your Life' and worked out how much it would cost to mount and frame it. It came to £80. But as he's selling the work I'll get %50 off that, which brings it down to £40. If I want to sell that particular picture for £40 then it will come to £80 adding two and two together. HE then gets %30 worth of profits, so adding %30 of the price onto itself it will come to £113 or something to that effect (he was explaining it all very quickly to me so...if you're confused it's alright, I only just understand it!)

But if it doesn't sell I'd have to pay him £40 for the framing and take the image back...which is a tad crap but I understand seeing as he's trying to runa business.

The images going in are two running greyhound pieces, Foxy Foxy and six of my little A6 greyhounds (including all three Happy Greyhound images). Starting to worry now that it might not be the best idea...but if I don't do it now I'll never get the experience and knowledge of how things work in the world of art!
I also bought myself some proper wee business cards for my pet portraits - so that's fun Gonna start handing them out to places like pet shops, vets and grooming parlours.

Finally got through some devations, sorry for the nonsense comments and the delay >.< But I got it done at last!

Right guys, much apologies for my lack of activity and what not. I have had very little time and motivation to go through all 270 odd deviations that I haven't seived through yet, and it's really stressing me having to worry about going through them all >.<

I'm also going to rid my message box...there are over 50 faves/watches and I can't get round you all so I'd like to thank you all soooo much now for either faving my work or for watching me, I really do apprciate the lovin'!
That includes the journals...

So if there are any particular journals or pictures you would like me to either read or look at to give my opinion, then please let me know! Seriously I don't mind It's just a daunting task to go through so many when they just keep piling on >.<

In otherwords...not much has been going on. Working like a bitch thanks to my friend walking out on the shop whilst I was on holiday. A new lassie has started but obviously they still need trained staff to come in and help out seeing as it's the Festival -_-;
I have started working on ~Thechemist57's Bandit and I also have started work on a random piece that's related to animal cruelty -surprise surprise- so hopefully at some point I can upload something!
Oh oh! And my cousin added PhotoShop CS3 to me laptop so I can finally edit pictures and what now I did try and edit Cleo but it never worked sadly

HOWDY FOLKS!!

Yus I am back from the land of the Danes. Came home Tuesday night, went to Dean's yesterday and saw the Dark Night - fookin awesome film I must say - and tomorrow it's his birthday so I shan't be home till then...I'm dreading the coming weekend. Working saturday to tuesday, all 8 till 63 shifts. I'm gonna die!! Welcome home from holiday aye -_-;

Anyway...aside from that I had a good time away ^^
Went to plenty of animal places like the zoo, an amazon dome place, wolf park. Also went to Lego Land, Germany for a day and just enjoyed a bit of Danish culture. One thing that screwed my mind over was driving on the opposite side of the road...gah! I never had to drive likes but whenever someone turned left I was terrfied someone was gonna crash into us >.< Really weird

The title, you may be confused by, was after a little night of Sing Star Dean wasn't following the lyrics properly and instead of singing 'every cowboy has its dawn' he sang 'every cow has its dawn'. That was one hell of a funny night
Nicole, Dean's cousin, has a boyfriend who looks like your typical metalhead. Tall, smokes, long hair, tattoos and likes heavy music and plays guitar Well one night they took us to a karaoke bar and they both got up to sing 'Barbie Girl', Nicole singing the man's part and Thomas singing he woman's...he did it all too well for someone who could sing death metal with ease

I'll try and get some photos up into my scraps for you all to browse. There are plenty of the two boxers as well - AMAZING DOGS Erika liked the pictures I did btw - and the one I did of Cleo, if I do say so myself, was he best characteristic one I did out of the three. Yes she is an odd looking pooch who looks more like a wilderbeast than a dog

Oh, and on another note...

omgomgomgomgomgomgomgomg!!

I HATE this new version of DA
Coming home to over 300 deviations and over 100 messages this new system is utter bollocks and totally frustrating -____-;

Well, it's official, I am now twenteen!
My dad came up from Wales to surprise me on saturday. Was working away serving folk, then turned to the next customer and said 'Hi, how can I help...what are you doing here?!' So that was a good unexpected surprise
Went out with mum and dad that night to Hard Rock Cafe - mother got pissed and I was given a free shot from the barman for it being my 'birthday', and as the waitor thought I was 23 (wank!) I got a free cocktail to compensate

Las night went out for dinner with the parents and two of my sisters/ Lovely Indian restraunt, then the pub till 2 in the morning. I really just wanted my bed (i've been working and drinking all weekend and the pub was soooo hot I felt like I was dying >.< )

So today me and dad are going into town for a birthday pressie then he's away tomorrow morning and I'm off to Denmark for 2 weeks on wednesday! Busy busy week >.<

Sad news though, my wee Gran from Glasgow is in hospital dying. She's been in since tuesday and I have a haunting feeling she'll pass today...which won't be nice but that's life eh? Or death...whatever way you want to look at it >.<

Hope you're all swell. I'm not really enjoying this new version of DA...I prefered the old version more - especially the message centre! Hopefully I'll get another journal up before I go off on holiday...but if now I'll see you when I'm back!

Well there's two things...one good...one just fecking annoying.

The good thing is, tomorrow Dean and me will be having our three year anniversary. Already had tiffles this week which have annoyed me but nyeh. I'm planning on going through to his tomorrow night after work till more than likely thursday morning if he gets his way >.<
Gonna make us dinner on monday night as tomorrow it'll be too late obviously. Making him pizza from scratch - that includes the dough base and the sauce! But I'll leave out bowls of random toppings so we can create our own pizzas The for dessert I plan on making some jelly and little cup cakes hope it works out to plan!!

The annoying thing is this...
A friend of mine constantly seems to be picking bad lassies to go out with...either they dump him for whatever reason and he deserves sooo much more. He's lovely, very attractive and just looking for a comfortable reationship. Don't have the heart to tell him that the last lassie who he still likes is a fanny. I don't like her, she's a fucking twat. Even Dean didn't like her - at the Japanese party our wee room was just showing our dislike for her! Which is bad I know, but first impressions mean a lot, and she gave a bad one I felt.
Well anyway, whenever he has a girlfriend, whether he does it on purpose or not, he always ignores my offers to hang out or makes up excuses (at least that's what it seems like) for not doing stuff. But as soon as she ditched him it was 'hey, emma ditched me. just wanted someone to talk to about it' and suddenly he talks to me again!!

This is why I hate it when he gets a girlfriend...he forgets his friends, or at least the ones he can't get frequent access to, and goes off to spend time with the new lassie -_-;

Men...love them...hate them...like them..STRANGLE THE BASTARDS!!!

Two weeks today...I'm gonna be 20. Could I be saying it more bluntly by putting how I feel into words such as this - totally bricking myself.
It's dawning on me that I will no longer be considered a teenager but instead a 'young adult'. That's just not right...I refuse to be twenty! Instead I shall be twenteen! It's the only other way around it...

Anything new? Nothing other than that going on with me. Worked early till late the past three days and I'm totally buggered. Seriously looking forward to my bed tonight knowing that I don't have another early start. Got some good plans for the next few days.
Meeting my mate Justine tomorrow for lunch then her, my mum and me might go to the cinema. Also gonna see Debs tomorrow as I've not see her for like 3 weeks. Wednesday I'm gonna meet a chap off me website - so that should be interesting

Erm...oh yes. On sunday the 6th it's Dean and mine 3year anniversary. Gonna go to his after work sunday night then on monday make us pizza from scratch - should be fun!

Finally! I am relieved of the pain! (almost) that piece of crap I call a computer has at last been replaced!
Went to PC World with me mum and Dean last night to get me birthday pressie A awanky new shiny laptop ^^
Sadly the one we originally went for, an Acer that was on deal from £499 to £399 was not in stock so we had to look for something else.
We then came across a Dell Laptop for just £50 more with 250gb space instead of the original 160 I was going for. I was before going to then go to Argos and get an external hard drive that was 160gb worth for £50 so either way the laptop had more space and it was a better more reliable make.
So now I have a swanky sexy GREEN new shiny

Just thought I'd let you all know of my happyness that I finally got something to replace the shite I used to call my 'compooper'

(one tiny problem is I'm having trouble clicking the 'mood' thing above to change it...so now it's stuck on Angsty, which is frustrating cause I'm actually over the moon! >.< )

Dunno what's going on really at the moment. Feeling a little naff today...woke up in a bit of a sharp mood, and Dean being a wise ass didn't help matters >.<
Anyway, got home and started work on the Labrador picture...got two hours into it then realised it was totally fucked up. The eyes are too close together and the muzzle is too short and large. *Feagaer can assure you all that I'm not speaking shite - even if it was a little picture I sent her

Urgh, well that's pissed me off...cause if there wasn't a picture to go with it...it would look...decent. But we're not going for decent are we? This is a paying customer who deserves what she pays for. And if I'm not happy with it, then she won't be happy with it.
So tomorrow I'm gonna have to start it all over again (yeh...lost all inspiration for it today...) and maybe get started on boxer number 2 as well. We all know I'll make these plans but never do them

Also went out for a cycle on me savvy today for an hour. Was nice to just get out on my own and pump the leg muscles, they're feeling all flabby and useless thanks to my newfound lazyness -_-; this is why I could do with having a dog around!! *cough*

Not sure what other news I can share with y'all at the moment. Getting quite tired now from my day of doing what seems like very little...so I may jsut go retire up to the ol' comfortable bedbed.

Just to let you guys know...I passed my project!!
From lowest to highest the marks go - fail, pass, merit, destinction
And I got myself a lovely juicey Merit I know my work wasn't quite good enough for a destiction and I hadn't put in as much work as the folk who did get them. However that is what I was aiming for and I am so thrilled I achieved it ^^

We went out after college on thursday to celebrate. I had four pitchers of cocktails and a kangaroo burger, which actually tastes rather nice! We were in an Aussie bar, it was an option so I felt I needed to try something new.

Anyhoo. No one wanted to buy any of my work (though I got quite a few nice comments in my comment book ^^) so seeing as the Edinburgh Festival is coming up, I suggested a few of us who didn't get offers should hold ourselves a stall and sell our work that way to the random foreigners that come
It'll cost us to put a table up...and I have NO idea who to go to to even ask about it...but you never know, I'll find a way.

I was thinking of setting my work into sets of three (the little A6 pieces) and framing them. Unless anyone here is interested in having a look at all 36 of them, then I might reserve some. I think I'll pair them up and put them in my scraps for you guys to see. Don't think everyone is interested in having me put up another 12 sets of greyhound pics!
But please, if anyone is interested, let me know!!!

Other than that...got a dinner with Debs tonight. Her work have set up a meal for 'new employees' and she's invited me as her other half
So I better go make myself look presentable >.< Cheerio!

Had a lovely long weekend away to Ireland
Arrived on the thursday and was in the pub with the family till midnight (then realised I'd need some sleep if I was to cope with the wedding the next day >.<. The wedding was gorgeous, and Fiona the bride looked phenomenal, my cousin Paul managed to scrub up quite nicely too
I do hate being with the family sometimes though...considering I'm the baby out of my three sisters I still get treated like it at time. Jenn, who managed to look as good and well dressed as Sarah Jessica-Parker took in a lot of the glory, but one of the bar boys fancied me - hahahahaha!! As if
As cruel as it may sound, the only thing he had going for him was his accent...other than that...deffinitely not my type (not that I'd misbehave cause Dean wasn't there...I'm a very good girl!).

Lovely weather for the wedding, then yesterday it was jsut as fab. Had a BBQ at Paul and Fiona's, I tried to tan my legs as they're resembling walking white glow sticks at the moment...but managed to burn my back >.< Considering I was wearing a top with a sort of t-strap up the back it's just my shoulder blades...white down the middle and two sexy white bra-strap lines. I'm so clever >.<
Came home today, got on the plane and the pilot said 'lovely weather over in Edinburgh, 18 degrees' and we're all 'wow lovely, keep the beautiful weather shining for us!'
Then not even half way through the flight he said '11 degrees in Edinburgh, overcast with some drizzle starting up'
I'd say more...8 degree and the heavens wide open throwing buckets down upon us >.< What a lovely welcome home!

Ermm...not much else to say really. Other than my mobile phone service was completely cut off for the weekend thanks to being in the wrong country and I was going spare not being able to communicate with the outside world. Having no internet access is one thing...but no phone? That's just cruel!

Hope all have had a good time this weekend also, don't want to rub my fun in anyone's faces

Just to let you guys know that I'm away for the weekend. Leaving tomorrow afternoon and heading over to Dublin for a cousin's wedding, and will be back on Sunday...not sure what time of the day.
Monday will involve taking my mum in to see my Exhibition and I'll also have to man it for 2 hours. Tuesday and Wednesday I'm working to make up for my holiday and help as someone else is on holiday (not that I want to mind...so sick of Millies...).

I should have thursday and friday to myself, then saturday I'm working and away to Dean's saturday night for a charity gig...I swear no rest for the wicked!! *pants*

I suppose I've had this whole week off to myself and such...this is pay back for being a lazy arse
Ack should be fun...never been to Ireland yet, so I am looking forward to it. Though I've been told Dublin is just like Edinburgh and is nothing exciting...so I do want to go explore the country a bit more in the future. Looks gorgeous. Pity it's the birth place of the horrible greyhound racing industry >.< Their animal right laws are pretty non-existant...so there's one downside to the country already.
Listen to me picking out flaws of a wonderful place I haven't even visited yet! *slaps wrist* Shoosh...

Anyway...yeh...just an update on the going ons. Nothing intersting happened lately. Been working on a picture...but I can't post it up until I get permission from the photographer of the reference...which might be a long way off -_-; but I wanna respect their rights, so no picture until I'm given the word.
Urrgghh...other than that...I'm gonna shut up there...otherwise I fear I may go into some serious ranting about being female >.<

COME ON GUYS!! Please get yer backsides into some form of high gear and churn out a few extra submissions to the contest for my bonny self and Feagaer to judge! The prizes are high!

I know it was only a short time ago I held a contest, and I still have to finished Fea's prize and ~Thechemist57 still needs to send me some photos to draw her beloved pooch.
But...*Feagaer has been too tempted and has decided to start up a contest, to which I have joined and we're now co-running it

Here are the rules and aim of the contest, if you have any questions or would like to join in, please leave a comment in this journal.

Aim

Ok, the aim of this contest is for you lovely people out there to use your powerful imaginations to convert these following lyrics/song titles into a piece of visual art. Now, I know many of us use music and lyrics as inspiration for our work, so this is our helpful step in leading you there. Though of course you're going to be limited by our selection, we feel that there is enough variety in there for you to come up with so many different things

We felt that giving you guys just over a month to do this would be satisfactory seeing as most of us will be finishing up with schooling and our exams are coming to an end. Summer brings hopefully only some extra free time!

First Prize - two colour pieces; one completed by me, the other completed by *Feagaer ; with a journal feature and one of *Feagaer's exclusive stock packs if you so wish.

Well that's my ten week project for college over and done with- at last! Handed everything in yesterday and that's it completed. Just got to hope now I get a good grade for it all >.<
I have some photos of my space...though I should have taken some more recent ones from when I actually finished...these photos were more of the WIP of how to lay things out. To be honest not much has changed, but nyeh



Anyway, hope you guys think the set-out looks alright. Compared to the other spaces it actually looks a bit pants. Such as in the first one you can see a big red wall? Yeh those with walls or wooden built spaces were able to paint over them and what not...I had to make do with velcro on the back of my pieces so I could mount them straight onto the fabric boards. Hence why I added the questions and answers to make it a bit more interesting.
I have since as well added the rest of my supporting work in a porfolio stand and my sketchbooks etc have all been laid out to be looked at. So I'm quite happy in the end with it.

On another note, sorry about my big ranty journal the other day...I just really needed to let the steam out and bitch. Deb's came round that night and we got very very hammered...but twas so worth it. At least she's a friend I can actually rely on.
We also went shopping etc yesterday and had a great time. I managed to spend £58 on underwear >.< But seeing as I ain't managed to buy or find a bra I like in a year, it was worth it and I shouldn't feel too guilty!

I've also set myself a summer project, this has got to do with the possible auction that we might set up here on DA. So far my list of animals are (mind I might not do them all) -
Badger, Red/Fallow Deer, Wolf, Lynx, Capercaillie/Osprey and Red Squirrel. Yes all these animals are Scottish...even though two are now extinct here...but I figured it would be a nice mixture. Not all of them will be done in Oils, as I figured a good mix would look better than them all being done in the same media.

Let me know what you think, if you reckon I shouldn't limit myself to Scottish wildlife then let me know. I'm happy to take on suggestions if I like them

I realised how pricey some of my print were and how little of them I've sold...not even gonna mention how bad an investment that prints account was

I'm so fucking hacked off right now. Sooooo much wanna rip someone's head off.

A certain 'friend' of mine, yeh she's always been unreliable and I'm aware of that. But funny how she only ever seems to have her own interests at heart and doesn't care if we've been friends since we were babies (yeh, she brings that up EVERYTIME she's pissed).
So tonight I'm meant to be going out for a friend's night out as she left the Millie's crew. She was making sure, even texting me last night, that I met her at 6.30 at the shop so we could go to Mica's and get ready. I was all up for it, yeh should be fun and she did promise me she wasn't going to get legless and abandon me for some random guy like she did the last time we went out (not a good night...).

Today I prepared myself and what not, sent a text after four telling her the bus I was getting and what they were gonna do for grub. She never text back immediatly and I figured fair enough she's at work.
I went to have my shower, started getting ready and half way through I get a text from her saying she ain't going she's too ill from last night.

excuse me...?

I ask her when the hell she was gonna tell me and her excuse was that she was sleeping and being sick all day. I'm sorry. Is that my problem? Is it too much to ask that you spend a measley TWO MINUTES out of the whole day to text me and let me know you couldn't go? No it's not. So get a life and start using your fucking brain instead of being so idiotic!! Why can't you go on a night out, knowing you have another night out afterwards, control how much you drink so you're stable enough for the next night?
Or what I'd really want, is for you to hold up your promises. Cause to be honest, I do a fair bit for our friendship, but you seem to just throw it down the pan whenever a guy or drink is in offer.

Knowing my luck she'll somehow see this. And to be frank I don't care. I've put up with it for too long and I'm sick of it. I want the old friend back who didn't give two wollies about guys and was just up for a sleep over and a good ol' chat. I don't like who you've become, and now there's no point in hiding it.

Fuck you. Get over yourself. You're gorgeous, you don't need to make yourself orange to attract a guy, that only attracts the arse holes who TREAT YOU LIKE SHITE. If you were so hurt by someone and you don't want to do the same to others, then why stoop yourself so low? Yeh you only live once, but this is just fucking ridiculous.

My God I've got a busy weekend ahead of me, and there's too much I wanna do with painting and such...but I have little time!
Yesterday I was at a funeral in the morning...my Aunty Matty (granny's younger sister) passed away last week. I'm not that affected by it because I never really knew her that well, but it was a nice service. I just hate funerals...cause the family gets together and I generally have bugger all clue who most of them are.
I'm really not a big family person It's like, unless I see you nearly every week, it's a sure thing I'll recognise your face but your name will evade me completely. So I just have to listen carefully and see if anyone says their name so I can log it away for the next reunion >.<

Annyyyway. Yesterday I met up with Sophie and Hugh - not seen either of them for months cause they're no longer at college. So that was fun, munching away then having a few drinks.
Tomorrow I'm off to Dean's till satruday, saturday night I'm out, sunday I'm working then after work going to the cinema with another two friends. I'm really looking forward to some time on my own!!

On the college side of things, we're mounting and displaying all our work now for the assessor, then after that it's the exhibition. So kinda starting to freak out now cause I can't wait till it's all over and done with, but I still have a lot of fixing things to do, which is crap -_-;
When I have the whole thing done I'll get photos and upload them to show you what's featured.

Oh and considering art and what not outside of college -
I was browsing through my gallery last night and got the strange urge to bring back Jack and Lang Tried sketching them last night and it was a bit weird, cause my style has completely changed since then. I'll see how it goes...might end up giving up on them like I did last time >.<
Also started painting a little Field Mouse in oils, to add to the collection I might end up selling if anyone's interested. Need to buy some more cardstock to use...I'm painting over crappy pieces on old cardstock at the moment, so that's not the most practical solution

Well the poll so far...there are people who would be POSSIBLY interested in joining in the auction. Which is fair enough cause I mean myself and *Feagaer aren't exactly the biggest artists out there on DA and we're not famous neither Not to mention not everyone has the cash to dish out when RL issues are far more important.
Yet it's just a way to get ourselves motivated, set ourselves a project and simply experience something new (and maybe get a bit of cash out of it )

However...we are of course wanting more art to actually be involved in the auction - and we're only two measely little people. So we're looking for two more traditional artists (sorry photographers and digital artists) who would be interested to join in the auction, create some new works and have it auctioned off on DA?
Time is always a factor I realise this, but if there are four of us who are auctioning off say at least 4 paintings/pictures each, then that's 16 pieces altogether up for grabs! And there is no limit to size either - yet making life easier for postage and packaging obviously would help to make things a little smaller than say A1

The more people who advertise this in their journals the better turn out there might be for the auction as word will spread far easier. Cause lets face it, not everyone will read mine or Fea's journal, so the more attention this gets the more interesting it will be. If people are willing to advertise and lend a hand that is

Just thought I'd suggest the idea of selling 'Foxy Foxy', wanted to get some opinions if anyone would be interested in buying it or how to go about selling it. I don't do ebay, and I certainly wouldn't for art considering everyone on there wants a bargain, so it wouldn't help me at all
If anyone's interested or has any good suggestions on what I should do, then please let me know

In other news, nothing much to update on. This is my final week for my Greyhound project - I am in the process of another oil painting, this time on wood and of two greys racing...it's not looking great so far but I will continue working on it tomorrow in college. Next week we mount everything and get it ready for the external assessor and our tutors to access. And then in two weeks it's our exhibition *bites nails*
Getting very tense now! However the only think I'm worried about is...that I'm not actually worried about it >.< I think it's gotten to the stage where I have everything sorted and don't know where else to go with it...and if I ain't done enough then...not much I can really do about it so why panic?

Emm...can't think of anything else to spraff about...hope you're all doing grand and thanks everyone for the support you've given me through this project, especially having to put up with so many depressing paintings! I'm glad it has also made an impact on some people, makes me feel proud that I've spread the word

Oh and on another note - this weather is just fantastic. I could just laze out in the sun and sleep like a cat...if only it meant that I wouldn't be frazzled like hell

I'm uber hacked off at this hunk of junk. It's gotten so bad that it can barely turn itself off anymore...isn't that cause for concern?
It will take quite a while to open up 'Control Panel', and when it does and I try to go into the Scanners and Cameras to scan pictures, it refuses to open. I left it for about three hours the other day and nothing happened.
So sad news guys - can't show you any of my recent work without taking a fookin' photo of it! Urgh...it's going to be the death of me I swear...

In other news. Only a week left to finish my project now. A WEEK!! *whines*
I've produced roughly...34 A6 pieces that will be mounted, all showing the good and bad sides of the greyhound's life - the pet and the racer. I was wanting to upload some of the happy ones for you today, but that obviously isn't going to happen *glares at computer*

I finally got through all my deviations, at last! Sorry it took me so long. I'd also like to thank everyone again for the faves they've given me on my work - quite a few I haven't had the time to go around and thank everyone yet.
I shal lupdate the features in my shoutbox at some point today (holidays today and monday, woop!). I might be able to mount a few of my pieces and take a photo to show you that way. Maybe on tuesday when I'm back at college I'll try scanning them and send them by email to myself...it could work!

Hope you're all grand and thanks to those of you who joined my website! It was going really well for a few days but seems to have slowed itself now...I think exams are hitting everyone now >.<
