Don't read this if you don't want to be bothered by emo shit.

So as always my mind has been spinning, and the latest topic is art. Usually I keep these kind of things to myself, but I just felt I had to get this one out.

What is Art?

Art has many definitions, many view points. Song, Dance, Paintings, Sculpture,Poems...the common few. Ever stopped to wounder though, what IS it really? what compels people to spend years of frustrating work evolving from stick figures to portraits? Why can some spend hours doing the same steps, just to make them perfect? (Some people are forced into it at a young age, which I'm going to state here and now is wrong.Art of any kind should be something you do because you WANT to, not because someone thinks you should.) Why do most artists give up early on, what frustrates them so about art being "Hard" ?

Art, in and of it's self is a feeling, something wonderful that makes your heart swell up (be it in Love, Sadness, or Hate)until it bursts and you just have to share that feeling. Art is Emotion, pure curling and snapping, Cradling and lashing EMOTION. Raw and wild, soft and velvet and wonderful!

And then you take up your tools of trade and try to convey what words cannot, try you best and hardest...and at the end of it all people smile and nod, briefly congratulate you for your effort and move on. It's crushing, that wonderful feeling sinks painfully into despair as you too smile and modestly thank them for their empty complements.

When I draw something, I don't want words in return, I want to see the look of awe and understanding as their gazes lay across the canvas. I want to know that THEY know, that they too can feel what I was feeling. I want to see their hearts swell and tears gather in their eyes, I want them to FEEL.

When I draw, I want people to look forward to my next work because they enjoy the simple wordless joy that comes with it. Not to glance at it briefly and after a fake smile walk away.

Though I have to wounder, is it my lack of skill of the fact that no one is really looking? Sure they see splashes of color and swirling, spiking lines with their eyes, and yea, their brains form an image of familiarity in their mind, but are they really seeing it? Of course they are, with their eyes...but not their heart. I've seen it before really, I can sit for hours and gaze at the sky, pastel blue with something darker beneath. White majestic clouds rolling gently and playfully across the sky with such a grace I'm left breathless.

The I'm joined by another and they gaze heaven ward trying to see that I see. after a few moments the standard question comes and I answer in all the truth. Each and every time the same answer. "It's just the sky, whats so special about it?"

The once again I am the one at a loss because honestly it's not what I'm seeing, but feeling that steals my breath and words alone simply cannot convey the raw power behind an emotion. *sigh* All my life people have called me rude, and cold, and even slightly emotionless.

I could say the same for them.

has been disqualified this time due to failure to produce an entry. More time was given even though I said I wouldn't >_<; and next time I absolutely will not, even if you ask for it in advance. Once I get the next part up there will be one entire month allotted. That is PLENTY of time. Due to turning in he entry late, has had one of her blue points taken away. 's entry was late (if only by a few hours) but they don't have any blue points to take away yet. Originally I was going to have people advance to a certain room and then the points would be the deciding factor to who won, but with only two left I don't think that applies any more. I should really just get rid of points altogether since they're just kinda useless now.

OK the last entry may have been a bit pre-mature. In one final desperate attempt I had a miracle and managed to fix my tablet. In a fit of paranoia I used half a roll of electrical tape to make SURE it was and would be fine so HOPEFULLY this is the end of my tablet woes.

Took it apart and tried to fix it, there was nothing I could do. My Uncle looked at it and tried to fix it but the wires are just to shitty he said. They're not only striped of their casing and so thin the air breaks them but coming out of the MICOSCOPIC crimp clip...tiny little *^@#. So it looks like I have to get a new one...DAMNIT.

That forum I mentioned in my last post, which is NOT the official club one, is here [link] .

Deadline is here, and seeing as no one else signed up teams are as stands bellow.

In other news contest time!

This one is going to be a team effort, with points awarded for said team and individually. Teams will be 3-5 players (depending on how many people sign up) and will be chosen by random. The contest will not begin until teams are established. When submitting a piece you MUST mention your teammates in some way or form, as you will all be rather..."stuck" together. Now for setting details...

Deadaim is getting tired of not being able to "convince" any of the Decepticons on base to test her inventions. Due to this ALOT of them have piled up unused, most of them un-tested on her...faithful assistant Sparkles due to their rather deadly nature. Thus to rectify this Deadaim has spent the past few months readying the "Lair", which spans nearly all of the unused sub levels of the base, to successfully sustain and contain nearly the entire base. While "testing" her inventions on each sub-level don't expect to run into any other teams. These basements are just as large as each floor of the upper base, though the very bottom ones are a bit smaller.

Which brings me to my next point, all teams will be advancing downwards instead of up. If your team manages to make it all the way to the bottom level, there is a teleporter back up to the top. In fact, there are teleporters on every level which your team will use to advance. There ARE stairwells and elevators which have been very carefully hidden, and if by some miracle your team finds one be warned that they are HIGHLY booby trapped in a way that will force all but the most co-ordinated teams downwards anyway. The lower you go, the less teleporters there will be and the higher chances you'll find another team.

Which is going to come in handy because as Deadaim discovered the hard way the lower levels of the base were sealed for a REASON. In fact she lost several of her drones (which we're made during the beauty contest) trying to get that last teleporter in.

As we go on, teams may "lose" members. Which will be done if a person fails to complete two tasks in a row without notifying me for more time, or the player specifically asks to be taken out of the game. These players will find themselves back in the top part of the base with all those who "chose" not to participate (con's that Deadaim ran out of time to drag down to the lower levels) watching all the fun on the big screen. Of course their team mates won't know that. When a con is disqualified a instant teleporter ray will shoot them, though as this is also untested results may vary. To team mates left behind it will spear as though the 'con was vaporized.

No one is going to die in this "test"...but your Decepticons don't have to know that now do they?

You get the same amount of points regardless of whether you Draw a comic\picture or write something, but please put a little effort into it. You can however do as many pieces as you want for extra points as we go along. A entire team may only win if ALL of your original team mates make it to the end.

The prize is of course one drawing from me of what ever you chose. Note that while there is a chance for more then one person to win I'm not going to make it easy as we go along.

Recroom Nonsense

It's come to my attention that the Recroom, which was once a great fun place, has descended into sludge and not so fun madness. I haven't been in the Recroom as much has I'd like due to the fact I really don't have time, but even I can see the truth of these things. I know that several journals have been posted already on the matter but now I offer you a solution.

I've been a serious RP'er for nearly five years now, and a less serious one for even longer. Starting in chat rooms with people who couldn't speak anything more then L33T, then onto rooms with higher standards, next to my dear Sarah of whom I don't speak to NEARLY enough and is entirely my fault for having a diversion to Yahoo. Sarah and I completed entire BOOKS worth of RP's. It was through Sarah I was introduced to Forum-style Rping which I fell in love with. To be honest I never did like the fact that the recroom RP's were all Realtime chat.

Forums expand the RPing experience like WHOA. Players have a greatly increased control range of the story and their characters (which means you have to be even more vigilant to prevent accidental godmodding as a down side, but I feel that keeps you alert.) by writing their posts as sentences and paragraphs instead of just:

Character Name: Blah Balaaa *action* BLLAAAA

You'd be surprised on how a story can open up by providing the simple option of description.

For those of us who cannot be in the rooms as often as we would like, the posts are permanent unless removed by the poster or a mod. This means no more coming into a RP wondering just what the heck is going on, and then being ignored when you ask. In fact it's pretty much imposable to be ignored in forum RP unless it's being done purposefully. Gone would be the times your post is over looked and eaten away by the faster typers. Also (unless the RP is meant to be privet and is locked by the mods via request) as all RP's are saved you can go through and read them at your leisure. Find out a bit of back story on a character you want to RP with before doing so without an awkward Q&A. Or even just lurk and read! Goddess' know how often I've done that to some threads, waiting for the opportune time to jump in, or just sitting back and enjoying the story.

Having said a bit about the topic, I want the opinion of you the peanut gallery. (if you're allergic to peanuts, feel free to sit with the Lemons. If you're allergic to citrus...go puff up and die. ) If people would actually be interested in using it, I'll get to work making the board and will post it the same time as the contest mentioned in my last Journal.

I've been looking for a free paint program other then,well, paint. Anyone have any information? As nice as Corel painter was It's not worth paying a monthly fee for.

So, after telling my self that Transformers:Animated was just a cheap ripoff and I would never watch it...I did. It's actually pretty good o_O; More then that, I saw a rumor today about season three of TF:A. Redalert is going to be a Femmebot.

The only thing I can think to explain this is they can't have a gay robot in a kids show, so they made him a woman. (With how he was all over Inferno in G1 it's obvious...to the fangirl mind.)Which doesn't make much sense cause as far as I know Inferno isn't going to BE in Animated...so producer guys. wtf?

Also on a fangirl note about Animated....Lockdown\Prowl is OTP. But wait! in the next season a darkbot from Prowl's past, Oilslick, shows up with Lockdown. I can't wait for the awkward love triangle moment when Lockdown realizes Oilslick is Prowl's ex. (Ok, that's more then likely not how it will happen. Just what I'm going to see in fangirl vision.)

Ok, so normally I just leave my deviart logged in. And it stays that way! But ever since Fire fox updated it's self, I have to log in every time I come back to the site. Anyone else having this problem?

And I went ahead and joined [link] ....and still don't know how to make the link the icon. How do you do that? Anyway, I'm rather proud of my latest art. Not the background, the one before it. (though I like that one too)

Now, I know I'm not the first person to complain about this...but it's really annoying that no one seems to care if it's not fanart. Which I'm guilty of myself...but still! Fanart is wonderful don't get me wrong, but...bah even I don't know where I'm going with this. I guess it makes me sad that I put things up to share them with everyone and no one seems to care.

perhaps I'm just being emo, a friend of mine seriously tried to kill herself recently, and last I heard she was in the hospital....and that was like a week ago.

On the bright side this means I'm going to be channeling my upset into making arts, and lovin my tablet. yanno, like "that" (lolno).

(for those who don't know, due to being more or less my first OC, 'Tiger' is what i call any and all voices in my head unless I can identify a specific muse.)

Have you guys watch Nick' channel lately? They have some sort of contest where if you send them a character drawing and a plot for a show that char's in, a real animator will come talk at your school! (or you get a T-Shirt).

Other then that, all I have to say is that tablet is lovely. I've named him Ratchet, 'cause he's that color and very grumpy. And before anyone asks (coughHITOKIRIcough) no I will not name the pen Ironhide. No I wont. >_>;

that epic writers block I've got? Gone! A trip to the Shattered Legacy forums cleared it up.Which I'm sorry to say have more or less died. I feel all guilty now -_-

In other news...it dawned on me last night that Jak2 is my favorite game o_O; I can play it again and again and it never gets old. In fact knowing what comes next makes it more fun! I think it's the active battle system. In most RPGs it's just continuously selecting 'attack'. In real time Rpgs as well, not to mention the character can jump so high and effortlessly, or run super fast (KingdomHearts) that getting around is also boring.In the Jak games you go one speed only, unless you hop on a zoomer. Which on that note are fun to pilot! You actually have to think about where you're going and doing so as not to hit anything and blowup.

Plus Jak has guns that work by the laws of logic. other then with the Scattershot, you don't have to reload, but when you run out of ammo, you're doomed. Which means you have to use the mods that take a lot of ammo (The Needler, All blue eco weapons and the Four highest in Jak3) wisely.

Well, you may or may not know that I've had a comic in the works for quite sometime. Recently, I went back and re-did the plot due to a attention-whoreish muse sneaking into my dreams (COUGHNEEDLESCOUGH). I'm going to start drafting pages after I cement a few more plot points, until then, heres a little terminology of sorts for you. :wink:

A guide to Anyitah.

Needles- Fire user born on a scatter of water users, familiar to Zei.

Zei- Warlock, aspires to become Anyitah.

Incendias- Fire user

Terres- Earth user

Undan- Water user

Aerro- Air user

Luxeris- Light user

Umbosian- Shadow user

Leviter- Lightning user

Scatter- Refers to the habitable part's of the world, known as such because the world is made up of Islands. Each Scatter is mostly made up of one kind of user, although the odd other type may pop up now and then.

Dead Zone- Parts of the world inhabited by only those creatures carrying the Victusnex Virus.

Nexus- Anything carrying the Victusnex Virus.

Victusnex Virus- Reduces the body to a decayed state, acting only on the primal instinct to hunt. Virus can be only be contracted when still alive, and though physical touch. I.E. Blood, Saliva.

Warlock-Someone who can use more then one element by killing others and taking their power. The power of which is determined by how many, and who, they kill for the power.

Mage- Someone who has complete control over their birth element.

Familiar- A creature (usually an animal) that in bound to a powerful mage to help them keep their power in check.

Anyitah- Title of the one who will cleanse and rule the Dead Zones, a feat thought to be impossible because of the sheer number of Nexus.

...Defeating Klaw.

I've racked my brains but can't think of a way for Daxie to kill Klaw. At first I was going to have him try and sneak past, and then have to fight him but lets face it; Klaw would win.

Klaw is a fifty foot lurker that can stand in lava almost hot enough to melt precursor metal, wearing precursor armer, can create giant flaming boulders from seemingly thin air, and beat down a seasoned (if a bit wussy) warrior like nothing.

Daxter has a metal stick.

>_O; How did JAK do it?! Gah, if Naughty Dog ever re-dos the Jak series so the plot holes are filled I will so buy it, and this is just the first game.

The best I've got is that before the blue sage disappeared, he was making a gun to shoot Klaw down.

Because we all know that other then the Acheron's, sages are too complicated to just use their eco powers to actually DO something. I mean, couldn't Samos have just flown\hovered on over to see the other sages?

yup, my own brand of chibi stolen and modified from Deviantart's own Lady Lucrecia99... without the lady. I just add that on because it just sounds right. and i have been informed she isn't to fond of the nick name Lu? mweh.... Nashi-sama is doing NaNo this year! I would love to do NaNo some time....when I have time to write 10,000 words a week. so maby next year? or I could start now and turn it in next year? =_=; I'm not entirely sure how NaNoWriMo works..... note to our selves, look into it.

whats NaNo? I think It stand s for National November Writers Month. And only one more month until the fabulous Weilla is back from Germany! Weilla is the artist of a hilarious comic called Mermaids. I strongly admire her ambition as a artist. Not to be disrespectful, but she isn't the best artist out there and yet she continues to post without worry that anyone will scorn her. which is kinda a silly fear but hey. I always look at my crappy art and feel small compared to all of the much more talented artists on the site, but it just gives me something to work twords right? It's been some where between 8 and 10 years since I took an active interest in drawing, and I have improved from the classic stick figure to things that could pass as human. I know I still have a long way to go and alot to learn, but I think when I finally reach that level of awesome it will mean so much more to me then those people who are naturally good at drawing.

......all the cool games have dirty underlines. remember the JAKx conversation? well this is like that only more....O_o;?? there is this game that my friend has (the same one who played jakx with meh) call Super Smash Bros Melee.it's basicly Tekken with nintendo chars. well she was Gannondorf (THE main bad guy of the Legend of Zelda games) and i was Green link(the hero of the LoZ games.even though i like dark\shadow link better...) well one of gannon's move is to lift his leg waaaaay up in the air and the slam it down on you. you can charge up this attack to make it more powerfull and thats what she\he was doing. well i was all like "you wish!" and shot him in the nuts with a light arrow.That was so freaking funny that we both fell over in stitchs,bumping our controllers and pressing buttons. when we could finally breath again and look at the screen we were all like" O_O!!....BWAHAHAAHA!"

wanna know why?....are you sure?? it's dirty!!!...ok you asked for it. Gannondorf was spanking link.when my friend had fell forward she crushed the button that makes Ganndie grab peoples and slam them down (i was real close...not much varity in his attacks neh?) and i had smashed pause. ganndie had link by the hair holding him up kinda with one hand,and had brought his knee up looking like he was gonna knee him in the guts,but had stopped just before, and had his other hand reared back like he was gonna smack somthin. the most likely subject being links ass.it serriously looked link he had slung him over his knee for a good pounding!

from that point on we would pause the game when any of our chars were real close to eachother. it was.....entertaining.

i said to my friend after we had shut off the game cube "now we know why it's rated TEEN.even though it should be SM for Subtle Molesting"

ok ok this is funny in a "omg" way.my friend and i were playing jakX today on two player mode. she was racing as Jak2 and i was Razer. we were on the second DeathDrome lap when it happened...the two Characters had a ...questionable conversation. Razer started it off with a laugh,then Jak said "I'm really getting pounded here!" then Razer said "can you feel it Jak?" then Jak crashed into a wall because my friend had dropped the controller(much like me) from shock and jak went "AHHHHG"

we stared at the screen for like,ever before falling over in hysterics at the lewdness of it all.needless to say we lost from just sitting there for too long.

i have never herd razor say that before now...infact I've never heard any of the other racers direct a comment to a certain char while on the track. o_O; it was creep\funny.

All i have to say for this is.....YAOI XD

for the people who do not usealy read the discription here it is, and ALL of it is true. Non of this is a hoax to get simpathy,but the cold hard facts of what kind of horible people there are in the world, and the things they uncaringly do for money.non of the pictures have been edited or alterd in any way. if you have a weak stomach,use cation when veiwing the pictures.

The fur trade is currently profiting more than ever, it had it's highest sales ever last year and this year, and they're supposed to increase even further next year.
Fur is becoming cheaper and more readily available to the general public and people are buying it more often, either as a whole item or as trim on another item.
They seem to either ignore or be ignorrant of the terrible suffering behing this trade.
The animals (that can range from foxes, to chinchillas, to mink to rabbits to raccoons and hundreds of other animals) suffer and die in horrible ways.
They are both captive bred animals and wild animals (which are caught using terrible methods, one of the most popular being the agonizing steel-jaw leg trap) they live in filthy cramped cages their whole (and very short) lives, in fear and pain, in their own faeces and urine, they often get gruesome injuries that go untreated, often from the leg traps (like the fox in this pic with the mangled leg).
There are currently no laws to potect fur farmed animals, they are killed, by either neck breaking, suffocation, anal or genital electrocution (which causes them to have a painful heart attack) and many other ways.
It is not unusual for the killers to not bother killing the animals at all to save time and stun them to keep them from struggling and then skin them alive.
During the summer, hundreds of thousands of animals endure searing heat and suffer from dizziness and vomiting before dying of heat exhaustion. Baby animals are the most common victims, as they succumb faster to dehydration. In the winter, caged animals have nowhere to seek refuge from freezing temperatures, rain, sleet, and snow.
Foxes are kept in cages measuring only 2.5 feet square, with one to four animals per cage. Minks and other species are generally kept in cages only 1 foot by 3 feet, again with up to four animals per cage. The cramped and overcrowded conditions are especially distressing to solitary animals, like minks.
I pray that people will realise the evils behind these farms and for the sake of the victims (the animals) stop wearing fur and go for faux instead.
