So, first UU con under my belt...it was...nice, I felt quite at home. Rob explained this "You don't really count as a Con virgin, you're from PT." Lots of huuugggs. We introduced squid hugs to the conmunity with a 16 player game that lasted a few hours. Quite fun. This weekend most definatly removed a bit of my cynical bastard taint. oh well.

I just got my whole school evacuated. I am so proud. I was working in a chemistry and I realized the experiment would work better if the vacume chamber was air tight. So I suggested that we use this smoke screen (similar to a smoke bomb, but much more effective) to see where it was leaking...

I GUESS we didn't need to whole thing...
I GUESS we should of done it outside or at least under the fume hood...
I GUESS we shouldn't have done it under the smoke alarm...

So after half and hour, a fire truck, and the year book staff taking photos, we get to go back into the classroom for the last five minutes of class.

So I had an amazing new years....wait...why am I writing about this here? oh. I know, it is because this is a socialy acceptable way to tell people about your personaly life while not feeling self centered or awkward because you are communicating with the persons themselves. So I had an amazing new years eve. The first one which I actually feel like it was majorly better than any other day....wait, no the second [the first being the one Dearest Dea.....someone...lost their vir....something]. So I don't know if one should feel...good, bad, or sad...in this situation. On one hand, it was probably the most comfterable and safe I have felt, while on the other hand, I am just following another pattern [the pattern thus far being Straight, Religious, and now visiting for 3(?) weeks]. I have decided not to feel at all depressed, which is a good thing, because the inverse has been happening. I honestly would like to ask for advice, but I feel as though this is something I should either know or figure out myself.

I don't feel bad for writing this here, because it is vauge enough so that if you don't know about my life, you won't understand.

As a parting note, I would like to send out a giant "fuck you Robert" that is not in reference to Mr. Goldstein. If anyone has been contacted by the doner of my Y chromosome, please feel free to pass the message along with a request to not have any future contact.

A blue eyed, tripod dog just walked by me. I am using random computer attached to Camp Casey 2's wirerless internet, which is undoubtably being monitored by the secret service gaurding the blockade about two hundred feet away with a sign saying "STOP 100% ID check". That is the road to MR. bush's Crawford Ranch. A few miles down the road there is Camp Casey 1. That is the one in the ditch. This camp is under a huge almost circus styled tent. I am personaly spending most of my time at Camp Casey 1 which is where I am camping. Across from where I am staying there is the counter-protest camp, "Camp Reality". Apart from there sign quoting "Providense", they have a sign saying "the 60's are over, why are you still here?" and one saying "never forget. 9-11 survivor".

This is an amazing expierience, there are people from almost evey state in this country, we have hundreds and hundreds of new people. The counter-protest consists of 10-20 people from this town a few miles from the ranch of their ex-governor/current-president. I hope the word gets out. Off to finish photographing dinner.

I would like to apologise to everyone for not posting anything for a long time. I have quite a bit of work which I would like to share, but have not found the time to post. I was cut off mid posting of my country fair photos, and have not found the heart to continue as of yet.

Tommorow I leave for texas, Seattle PI has hired me to go to Crawford, Texas, and to photograph people at Camp Casey. Camp Casey is the encampment of Cindy Sheehan. If you don't know about this, research it, and don't just look at your slanted sources, check both sides, and look at it this way: A woman with the support of a good part of the nation wants to talk to the president, and he won't talk to her. I'm staying neutral, SO DON'T BUG ME. This is my first job as a proffesional photographer. *happy dance*

ok, for all of you who came to the previous Fire Party, "thank you, It rawked". For everyone "RAWK ON!"

There are now 3 different groups that practice at my house every sunday. There is the Pirate Caucus (band), Vaudevillian Wannabes (intro fire, name not yet set in stone), and Pyro Caucus (advanced Fire).

On August 6th (unless there is an uproar for a different date), at least Two of these groups will be putting on a performance at my house. Anyone and everyone is invited, and there is only one overbearing rule, no drinking or drugging....I do not want to be setting copious amounts of things on fire if anyone is under the influence.

Ok, Official invites will be sent out this sunday after The two groups get together and Finalize Plans. Untill then, IVNITE INVITE INVITE!! seriously, even if they live a long ways away, tell them to come, and they can spend the night, or a few nights, its all good. and everyone is welcome to come as well. I hope you all DO come. If there is an incredible need for a different date, please tell me.

I did the math and get nearly 65 miles to the gallon, and when I get my care tuned up properly it will be better. Does that seem right? anyways. I thought I had some hippy in me, I did, but after a glimpse of the true reality of the mindset, I know I have a long ways to go.

they aren't dressed in 100% hemp and saliva made robes, they aren't smoking marijuana out of hand blown colored pipes, they aren't walking around naked loving everyone in sight, but some are.

standing in a field with thousands of other people watching tricksters, listening to speakers, dancing to music, and enjoying it. As the night gets later, only the ones who enjoy it are there, a dwindled few hundred bustling around the stage as a light mist makes everyone slippery. The last song, after 6 hours and countless beats on a drum, a bearded guitar player, singing of love and peace, as you hold the no longer stranger, with long hair standing, next to you.

there is no need for drugs, no need, for sex, no need for hemp, its a community. and those days are past. It is now commecial and needed to fit in. the overcomming community days of my parents times, and the ones that I wish to make, may never be there. well....at least I used to. when I was a kid, I couldn't stand most music. For the first 13 years of my life I couldn't stand it.

When I was about 9, my mother and step father took out their music collection, and played a bunch of it for me, just to show me the types. It had been the first time I really listened to any music. It wasn't that bad. for the next 3 or so years I got into oldies. yeah...oldies....johnny b. good and the works. In fact in 6th grade I played a number of leading roles (as I was one of the few males) in a musical called saddle shoe review (I got to be the one eye one horned flying purple people eater, rockin' robin, johnny b. good, and another johnny...judy and johnny just walked through the door...). It was about 5th grade that I got the battle chest for red alert. It came with a cd of the music of red alert. therefore at about 11-12 I started getting into heavy death metal. that sort of faded back into the little old lady from pasidina (sp?).

Throughout all of this, the one band that I really liked was the beatles, I=long time beatle listener.

During 7th and 8th grade, my world started revolving around doctor demento and wierd al....then joey introduced me to tenacious D. through freshmen year I listened to tenacious d, doctor demento, and smash mouth, and the beatles.

Before I went up to juneau alaska for the first part of sophmore year (long story, but basicaly it was against my will), I uploaded every punk/rock/death/indus/emo/screamo song I could find....and to my suprise I liked them a lot. when I went to juneau my computer died (fucking shit of a post office) and so I lost about 15 gigs of music. So I took my fathers money and went out and bought a bunch, and blasted ATWA-System of a Down and the likes from midnight to 6 am when I left for school. I slept through it...but my father and the person he was renting from didn't. So then it just became random bits of 3am blastings of little bits from random punks.

When I got back, my music taste from juneau stayed, and I spent a long time looking for the bands who played the songs of this one CD that fidget/anasasia had. therefore I found orgy, zeromancer, and the likes. Aliza/Ariel introduced me to Muse, Billy talent, and the likes...music has grown on me, and now if I get pulled away from it I die ....

k...so, here is a list on my familys cars in the last year:
Subaru : Gray
Subaru : White
Subaru : Burgendy
Subaru : Tan (with a little pink)


now....here are the reasons we no longer have them

Subaru Gray: Head Block cracked
Subaru White: Steering colum broke
Subaru Burgendy: tire blew out at ~25 mph and front crumpled in because it had been poorly fixed. any faster and I would be dead.
Subaru Tan (with a little pink): THE FUCKING CLUTCH FELL OUT!!! *cries*


I hate Subarus only slightly less than civics now. *cries* I want a car to last more than 3 months *cries*


we still have a toyota tressel (sp?) so....we can use that...but it has battery problems....*cries* car problems + other shit (too emo to post here) has made this a weekend from HELL!

So I went to the folk Life festival in seattle the last two days, and I got some good pictures. but not too many, as I was too busy just enjoying it. I think that once I get a better camera what has a strap (so I don't have to keep it in my backpack) and has a faster than 10 second start up time....Ill do more event photography at places like folk life. But as it is, i just got a ton of cool portraits of people. In one day I randomly met one person (this goes along with a really funny story which involves people being shirtless and the democratic party) who knew rob (I didn't know this untill she came up later and said "you know rob!") and one person who knew teirsa (he sat down and we were talking, he asked where I was from, and then if I knew teirsa...lol)....the next day I saw robs shirtless friend again (she was wearing a shirt this time, and dragging this person in a red fishnet shirt by a leash) and I got contact info for about 10 different people who want to learn or already know poi. so good times. Ive come to a few conclusions here. all the people who were doing poi....SUCK hairy mokey balls at poi. but they have potential, another is I would like to be friends with danny, ex-zoe, and a few other people I met there. oh, and another thing, I love music.

Every night at 1 am during the United For Peace And Justice conference there was a party...called "the pirate caucus"...we had been having many other caucuses during the day...so...this was a fun time to get down and party...with a group of hippies of all ages from all over the united states. Now...I play the drums, Nate plays guitar and bass, Dearing plays Bass, Rob plays guitar and bass.....and we rawk out together....so....we made a band...

now both rob and I have partaken in the Pirate Caucus of UFPJ and so we told the other guys about what it was....and voila...

Nate, Rob, Dearing, and I made a band....we have two songs...and no one will EVER hear one of them. you guys rawk. (and thanks to matt for hanging out and helping with lyrics...omfg rofl bbq)

Random emo shit:
So I figured out that what I really hate in life is losing things. more than things, people, company, the ability to talk to people, and trust. I can't really just give trust to people. some people I trust, and others have lost it, and I doubt it will ever come back. Especially since the only way people can lose it is by being themselves.

There are just a few people who I talk to, and those are the ones that I really trust. So, there are only a few people who I feel relatively close to. And thats the sort of thing I want in my life. When I have a friend who I can trust, I am not going to lose them after highschool. Or at least I don't want to. honestly I don't know where I am going to end up, but I just want to somehow stay close to those it is possible to do such with.

then again, I am told that after next year, I am leaving, or the people who I am closest to are leaving by then (to another far away state, or to college)? whats the point then. I saw a few people who I care about a lot this weekend, but I didn't feel like I could really talk to them about anything because I have been told that they are going away. so thats the edge of it. how canyou be close to people if they are just going to go away?

forget the abovness. I have all this energy left over from the music playing, I have had a lot on my mind as of late, so when I just felt myself being triggered into badness energy, I decided to write out a few things. some of the others involve people being who they say they are and showing it, but thats another more deep thing

so, there is this woman...after 15 years of being brain dead and having doctors certify that she has no higher brain functions, she still is alive. even though, she asked her friends and family (including her husband) to let her die if she got to the brain dead state. now...32 judges have ruled to let her die....because...her parents want to keep her alive. above the question of should they respect her wishes and let her die...my question is: WHY do HER parents WANT to KEEP her ALIVE!
I mean...after 15 years, you would have thought that they would have moved on and decieded to let her die.
THAT doesn't matter to me at all though...
now what gets me mad. congress passed a bill to keep her alive. THIS IS AGAINST THE CONSTITUTION! why did it pass? when so many of the congressmen and women are for letting her die? how would you like to be in an election and have someone say "hey, didn't you vote to kill that woman in florida?"

I AM DONE BITCHING! don't attack these views, i just wanted to make it clear that:
. I personally thing that whatever HER choice was, it should of been honored long ago
. I am more pissed off about the congress breaking the consitution than I am about the 32 judges ruling that she should be unplugged
. I am more angry about the thousands of deaths in Iraq than I am over one brain-dead woman wanting to die in the USA

RANT:
From sitting him math and listening to the teacher with kristian, and realizing how funny some of what she was saying was, I realized that it is suprising how much fun one can have with the simplest things. Inspired by this (on a slightly different topic), Ive decided that figuring out some of the most simple things that entertain me might help somehow.......somehow...
ok, so:
- poi (lets see, poi entertains me, but the simplest moves such as the singles/doubles and butterflys/monk moves feel like meditating)
- drumming (again the simplistic meditating aspect)
- reading (either book that pull away from reality...or comics.....)
- drawing (well, I really like the concept, but that doesn't fit under simplicity...so....shading/inking and making it pretty will g here)
- etc (ok, this is getting redundant and I think I've figured out what I need to)

OMFG FIRE POI PARTY:
So there is going to be a fire show at my house of the 19th. tha is a saturday. the fire will start abou 1/2 hour past dark. pretty much whoever wants to come for the fire can, but only about 10 people are going to be able to stay afterwards to hang out. yes, parents are invited to watch fire as well. so far we have decided on using Out of Body Expirience (Rabit in the moon) for opening, and WWIII (KFMDM) for closing. any suggestions for the middle piece? well come, have fun...and at least nate and I will be doing fire, maybe rob too.

Breaking down so many of these protections can be dangerous. but The less you have up the more sincere you are.
If you hate your neighbor, is it an intelligent desicion to walk over to them during dinner and say "I hate you, I wish you would stop bringing those little bimbos to your house and....(so on)" or such. No, instead we go and offer them some of our award winning soup.
If you love a friend, is it an intelligent desicion to tell them? What if you lose them? If they are truely a friend, and a good enough friend to love, then even if they didn't return your feelings they still would stay your friend. If you truely think that they would feel awkward around you, then why would you think you could date them. People who care about each other on any sense need to be able to be comfterable around each other, they need to be able to not fear losing the other person over true honesty.
Why can't we say anything? Why is it the traditional thing to do for a person to have a crush and then completely pretend the person doesn't exist? Why do we not work out our problems with out enemies? You ignore them till they are gone, and you lost the love of your life and your eternal best friend.

Tear down your walls and shells and those who you truely feel about know it.

This is a pet peeve of mine. Not that I think drugs don't work, but the fact that they preach them to cure mental illness, whilst all they do in actuallity is suppress the side effects of mental problems that are either on their own of are caused by a mental illness. This is a set up for a major backfire. sorry, It bothers me. But they do have their uses in being able to deal with the side effects while fixing to problem. But if you merely take the drug and wait for it to fix itself, it rarely works.

anywho, on my trip I had an idea for a game to play with all us little washingtinian folk. it was inspired by white elephant, but has little similarity.

I will call it Platapus Xylaphone

ok, we each put up a pic with that as the title, and with some other unique name. example: "Platapus Xylaphone - Cheese Child"

once we all put up our pics I will link to all of them in a journal and then everybody will make and post an edit of each of the pictures. name example: "Platapus Xylaphone edit - Cheese Child"

you then link to the origonal and the journal. once all of the edits are posted I will make a new journal with links to everything, sound good?
