But today I got fourth place in the JV race! Well, 4th out of our team. On the last leg of the 3.1 miles we run, I weaved in and out of about 7 girls, and shed about 50 seconds off my last time!

I love not being injured!

Cross is now what I am looking forward to after school, which is odd cause I used to dread it. I look up so much to all the girls on the team, they are such amazing runners and fun people! Too bad the school-musical conflicts with the track season....becuase sorry running, but acting is my passion (no matter how bad I am at it).....too bad i cant do both

Rehearsel is Monday! I get to sing then too! I'm like bouncing out of my seat from excitement!

At least I have the safety of knowing if I am being chased by a bear, I won't die!

NOT because of just one thing you did.

Anyways, I was on my walk, when I asked this guy(who was walking his dog) what time it was.

and HOLY.

CRAP.

This guy screamed at me, "WHY DO YOU NEED THE FUCKING TIME!!!!!! NOBODY CARES AND WHATEVER IT IS YOU HAVE TO DO CAN WAIT!!!!!!! IT IS FUCKING RUDE TO ASK A GUY FOR THE TIME WHEN HE IS BUSY DOING OTHER THINGS!!!!!!" Of course the guy said this as his stupid poodle was pooping on the grass in front of K-Mart. Yeah, what was I thinking, he was MUCH to busy to take the 2 seconds to look at his watch and tell me what time it is.

Then all of a sudden he started mumbling to himself, "Why do people need the fucking time. Time is nothing. We are all just going to die anyways. Life is pointless, everything is pointless. I wish people would just leave me and Augustus alone. (I'm guessing Augustus is his dog.)" And he just started walking away.

ok then...

Monkey-muffin (www.monkey-muffin.deviantart.com) has got me thinking. Well, I've been thinking this stuff for awhile, but just now decided to share my thoughts.

First off, I hate being labeled, but sometimes, you just want to fit in, ya know? Not to the point of being like a mass-produced, giggling, bleached hair, perfect teeth loser who wears brand name clothes like abercrombie or American eagle just to fit in, even though they cost twice as much as the SAME EXACT THING you can get at Target. Oops, I'm sorry, there is a HUGE difference! One: They have a small little symbol sewed into them to PROVE to others that it IS from that place, and Two: The extra zero on the price tag. anyways I'm getting a bit off track, where was I, oh yeah...

So anyways, I'd like to fit in just enough, where people would notice me as someone other than the smart kid, or the girl who plays piano. I'd like to be known by my personality, but everything else gets in the way. No boy has ever looked at me as anything other than a way to get the answers on the science homework, no boy has ever thought of me as more than a friend, and truthfully I don't blame them. All of the boys I've ever met are only interested in girls who wear excessive makeup, talk in that high-pitched, giggly voice at all times, and that are as skinny as a twig. I'd for once like someone, anyone really, to just come up to me one day and say something like "I like your shirt savannah", even if they don't mean it, but nobody ever does say that.

I'm not obsessive over my looks, I know that. I come to school almost everyday in a pair of unflattering jeans and a hoodie. My hair has never laid down straight before, and It always looks the same. Messy, ratty, and brown. I don't wear makeup, and the one time I tried, my friend told me I looked like a clown, which doesn't exactly boost ones self-esteem. I hate how I look, but have no idea how to change it. I grew up in a family that didn't have time for silly things like dressing up nicely. I grew up in free shirts from soccer tournaments and the discount rack from the boys section of the store. I'd like to come to school, just one day, in something that looks remotely nice.

I also hate how everyone thinks they know me just because of what I can do! They continue to tell me "OH savannah, you are amazing, I wish i was just like you," and sure, I am good at a lot of stuff, but I'm not the best. Somewhere, during everyday of the week, someone is going to be better at something then me. What I hate is, while everyone takes the time to obsess over how great they think I am, they continue to forget that they have some great features too. Sometimes it is obvious, sometimes it isn't. People continue to glorify my musical talent, while they forget they have a great personality, far better than my own. People tell me, "OH savannah, you ar so smart", but they forget they are much better at something else, or maybe they have a cuter hairstyle, or maybe they have a lot of friends, but every single one of them means something, and isn't just a number too them. THAT my friends, is what true greatness is about. The little things that make up a persons personality for who they are, and not what they are. Because you need to appreciate the little things in yourself, before the big things squash them out.

Sometimes I wish my friends would like me for more of who I am, then what I am. I think homicidalhampster (who I've known my whole life practically) is the only person who sees past who I am on the outside, and can look at my actual personality. What I hate is when people, especially people who I call my friends, pretend to like me, and then turn around and rant about me behind my back. They take people for granted, doing things like gossip and hate, and then expect that person to still be your friend? That's just stupid. People can never see past the outside. They continue to obsess over what someone isn't rather then appreciate someone for what they are.

I've tried to make as many friends as I could. I've been as nice as I can be, and truthfully, I'm sick of people looking so highly on me, so much so, that they forget that they are great people too. I've strived for success because that was the way I was raised. I was raised to think crying was for wimps, emotions are for losers, people who don't succeed will end up failing, and that the only way to get through life is to keep your emotions bottled up. Well I'm sick of it! I'm sick of how I look, I'm sick of how nobody in the school knows who I am, I'm sick of being the quiet girl in the corner, I'm sick of my friends treating me like scum, and I'm sick of glory. I'd like to do something really glorious, like make a documentary, or write a true masterpiece, but instead I'm overly-glorified for being able to play a simple so... ]]> ~WickedWerewolf13
