Just scrolled through DeviantWhore and i realised as of wednsday i Have been on deviantart for 2 years! Should i be proud of this? Does this reflect my current social ambitions? Am I ranting?

Maybe. But its an important time to thank everyone who has commented, encouraged, faved, helped, deviantwatched, stolen beer for. And Just the community in general! ..Yes i did refer to this as 'DeviantWhore' a moment ago, but negative rants can wait for later. And Its only nitpicking anyway.

Well in exciting news Parkway Drive will be playing in Canberra at the Griffin Centre Hall in civic on Friday the 7th Of October. Pen that one in guys as its going to be a kickass album launch show.

In my own news im still bludging and playing guitar, and generally existing. Next year should be more regimented though. I will send my apologies to all those who have taken the time to comment/fave/rant/abuse and due to my haitus have yet to recieve a reply.. I really cant say i've been busy, nor can i say that i havent been taking photos either..

Why havent i been on deviantart? A number of reasons.
The principal one being i have been having sporadic internet problems which hopefully are now fixed. I also have been doing the usual drinking/partying combination which takes up a suprising amount of time.. Developing crushes on ppl.. Sleeping heaps as usual(Time spent wasting time is not wasted time!) And to top that off started doing guitar lessons!

..Now i heard the pen drop. YES i am doing guitar lessons, but simply because i beleive i can advance far more easily in theory/scales with a good shreding teacher. +My sister hooked us up with a good deal so it was hard to say no. Happy too say its probably the best decision i've made in recent times..!

Anyway i apologise too all of those i've neglected on DA and i hope to get through all your messages & deviations soon! Hopefully i can make a gap in my time to post some more stuff on here for all y'all too laugh at!

Well just chillin. Decided to post something out of the old catalogue collection for your viewing pleasure.. Not sure how far i can go with this Creek Warfare theme. But i figure as long as theres an audience i dont really care.

But besides i got other ideas in the pipeline that will have to wait til i am less lazy and more sober..

Holidays are good n all, lots of free time. But then again i dont end up getting more done. Well except maybe guitar, but thats a bit due to lazyness for anything else really.

Well whats been happening? Im not sure of all the details, but i realise i havent been on deviantart for ages.. It would seem that 52% of american voters are morons.. But then again Howard got back in too.. ah fuck it governments everywhere tend to suck.

Havent been up to much, i have an imminent due Photo assignment.. Been getting wasted at civic far too often
recently bought an EQ pedal for my guitar setup.. So awesome, i can play it as loud as i can handle with no feedback!

I just noticed that as of the 7th of this month i have been on DeviantArt for 1 year!

Ok so i havent been on deviant as often as i should be. I mainly blame my sporadically working LAN in my house, and the fact that i got so much other stuff too do at the same time. (like going out getting drunk, starting metal bands.. sleeping etc..)

The title? Well i just bought a CDRW/DVD combo, which i plan too install. However the previous owner of this computer...*cough* OXIGEN *cough* installed a fan speed conroller and various other mods without spending too much time installing the wiring neatly. The point is that i gotta re-route it all too fit this drive in, hopefully nothing will catch fire or something..

But in any case if im not online for a while (on msn too) it prob means something broke and i gotta get more parts..

Nothing much too report, school almost over for a few weeks holiday. Scraping through this week because my work gave me pezant hours last week

Had a cool Jam today cause Ben bought his 7string guitar today.. oh man that thing is nice I was actually on drums for a fair portion of the time. Im no drummer, im quite miserable at it.. I was just stuffing around on the high-hat and cymbals for ages making random beats and sounds.. soo addictive.. Come end of financial year i may have enought money too get myself a drum kit, oh man that'd be sweet..

I hired Underworld 2nights ago. I really enjoyed it, it's dark cinematics really painted a good picture. And i was glasd it wasnt filled with really cheesey vampire/warewolf one-liners or the comic relief guys.. Thank god. While some aspects may be predictable. (if you've read romeo & juliet) but it keeps too a good pace and doesnt try too satisfy everyone and sell out. So yea i rate it..

Ohhhh.... And yea its got Kate Beckinsale in a tight black catsuit for most of it. But er... thats really not a huge factor in my liking of the film..

But anyway i may get around too posting more stuff with a dark underground theme as it has inspired me too do so..

Well peeps again nothing much too report, I turn 18 tomorrow though which i am looking forward too.. Still havent planned any party arangements.. So i will no doubt be doing the pub-crawl tomorrow night. (For US residents note that the legal Drinking age in Australia is 18 )

I recently bought Evangelion Ressurection, which for the uninitiated is episodes 21,22 & 23 of the Neon Genesis Evangelion series that were remade by director Hidakei Anno Too include all the scenes he had planned when it was made in 1996 but could not include for budget reasons. Quite impressive really, i was assuming it would be a cut & shut hmmm.. add this here, this there - pointless dialogue etc. However all the scenes add significantly too the series and the leadup too 'End of Evangelion'. An escepically emotional scene comes when Asuka is being attacked by the 'fuck-you-in-da-head' beam from one of the angels. It's difficult too describe in words, but it deals greatly with her mum's suicide etc.. Really quite disturbing, as we have come too expect from Eavngelion! I reccomend this too all eva fans, however if you arent familiar with the episodes pre-directors cut you may wonder what the deal is (so watch both they are on the same disc!!)

Other than that i have again reaffirmed that i bought a guitar amp ludicrously too loud for my room again yesturday when i turned it up too just under half way with average gain. (None was home) and ran my 20ft stage lead out of the room and down the hallway.. Even at this modest volume (for the amp) i could feel the whole house shaking and the windows resonating.. I am truly a lunatic..

I'll try and get some more stuff posted soon. Although i don't like just dumping shit on here for the sake of posting something. Which alas means i need the time too make some polished works.. I'll get around too it soon..

Hello all!

My apologees for my lack of activity as of late. I have been very fucking busy. Driving lessons, School, Exess working, girlfriend.. omfg i can hardly cope. I can only assume that the upcomming holidays will reap some more art for me. Oh i forgot too mention my computer has no functioning HDD at this point. So if i cant recover that all my source images are owned.. BACKUP PEOPLE!!

As soon as i get my own PC up and running again expect more shiz (i cant deal with the family PC and its meagre amount of RAM) after using 768mb in my own pc, 256 is just plain inferior!!

Not much too update.. shillsin in class atm.. so i may be brief..
I recently got a usb scanner, so my motivation too do some more handdrawn stuff has multiplied! My current comitments are my driving lessons (2 too date) 11 competencies so far ) And i also have too come up with $550 in 6weeks.. Im buying an Ashton GA100 guitar amp.. (100W RMS of power-- can you say STUPIDLY LOUD?!) don't worry about comming over for a look because chances are you'l hear it from where you are! lol I hope everyone is all coolio.. Had a phat jam session with Ben and Damo, complete with random-riff sessioning and bombtrack * killing in the name covers.. Ben is also buying an amp.. the asthon ga80..

on a more sad note i learnt today that one of my friends brother's died in a car accident returning from the coast. Im getting back too my roots with pencils & paper, however im giving coluring a try in Photoshop. The way i do it takes ages but it works. If anyone has any miraculous tips on colouring in ps i'd love hear them

Nothing much out of the ordinary here, i've been working heaps, but thats prob good cuz i need ca$h too get my drivers licence!!

why the name?

Thats the book i read on christmas. I have a thing about reading long novels, i hate stopping and staring because you forget what happened. So i ended upo reading this book "Ice Station - Mathew Reily" on christmas. (it was one of my presents) my cousins we shocked too realise i read a 610page book the day i got it.. its a friggin awesome book tho. i havent read that fast since 'tomorrow when the war began' which for the record still rocks! this guys and australian author, and is very michael chricton like.. so i think i will definately look inot getting his other 3 books..

But Yeski hope everyone had a good christmas!

I recently bought Neon Genesis Evangelion Perect edition DVD set, fuxing awesome y'all. i had it on lay-buy for ages, and i had too get it before jan 4th or it'd expire. I highly reccomend evangelion too everyone.. although dont bother unless you plan on watching all episodes and end of eva.. (preferably more than once) as its not a series you can pick up the jist of in 30mins! as i mentioned awhile ago, when i get eva on dvd, more wallpapers will follow because i can rip screenshots for them

so todays lesson is:
Go buy evangelion,

Hello all! I recently upgraded my memory from 256mb to 768mb so photoshop is running fucking insane!
Its now possible for me too easily have multiple hi-res images open at once on top of all the other apps. Which is making my work a lot easier! I highly reccomend to everyone to maximise your computers ram today!

On other news, nothing much is occuring. I bought a Samick guitar for $100 as a project guitar, still needs work tho. I could have had a 1964 re-issue japanese fender Strat if i had $500 a week ago *sob sob* oh well maybe next time aye?

I also moved rooms a few weeks ago. The old dining room is now converted into my room. its pretty insane way more room i love it

There is no way in hell i am going to be able to gain written consent from Maxim Magazine too utilise their copyrighted images in this wallpaper. Non-profit or not.
I will enquire as to whether posting suitable credit and copyright information, disclaimer etc would be sufficient to not breech this rule. However if this is insufficent i wont be able to post the wallpaper again.. (Hell according too the above i should remove a lot more wallpapers!)

I am not arguing or disagreeing with this rule, as DeviantART has to protect itself from legal action arising from such things. (Note: read the guidelines, if deviant gets sued because of a copyrighted image in one of your works, all responsibilty for any costs/damages arsing from it are yours alone!!)

I should stop babbling now.. lol

But yea i hope i can get da wallpaper back up.

[edit] ok its been cleared up by phae [link] so it looks like i cannot post unless i ahve written permission from the copyright holder, which i will attempt to get (like hell im gonna get that lol) so i doubt people will see that wallpaper..*sigh*

I don't quite understand the reason as i cant acess the Submissions Agreement to view, but if it basically refers to using images that are copyrighted or not of your own- only 12 / 37 of my deviations are not breaching this rule. I will enquire as to what extent an image remains copyrighted when manipulated and or used in a completely different form too its original use. Depending on where you live internationally taking screenshots from DVD's you own may or may not be legal..

Oh well i will await a reply from help desk before i submit anything else - i dun wanna get banned!
