I'm on the move!

Going on Holiday for a month, so I won't be on for a month, I may have access to deviantArt via my I pod touch when in internet cafes but that will be it. Sorry to Announce... There weren't enough entries to finish the Game Dev Contest

Yeah it was a bit sad and disappointing to find only 2 people entered the contest, even after i extended it for a month - http://willowxd.deviantart.com/journal/Game-Dev-Contest-Create-a-Game-Level-274773326 I was hoping more people would have entered, I needed at least 5 entries to continue the contest. I know this is partly my fault, as I did run the contest on a busy time of the year, and that meant less could people enter due to people being busy and I didn't get the time to advertise it as much as I could.

Updating, Deleting and New Tutorials!!!

I have decided to delete my goth girl tutorial (3D Character tutorial) as I feel it was old now and the skills was dated and some are wrong, I hopefully will be updating it with better techniques and skills character tutorial. I also will be doing some new tutorials done for both 3ds max and maya and doing the beginners 3D Tutorial for maya users! I hope to get these done in the holidays and when I get some free time!

Its been a long eight months in the making, but now Cavemen vs Aliens is FINALLY done and can now be purchased from the indie games section of any xbox360 linked to xbox live for 400 Microsoft points, or you can get it from Xbox LIVE Marketplace!

Storytelling in Games

Here are my answers to some questions about stories in games.
Does a strong storyline make a better game?
Yes and no, it depends on the game type and style of the same. Like if you’re playing the Sims, if the Sim’s had a story it would not make it simulation game anymore, it would make it a role playing game. A game like assassins creed needs a good story to make it interesting, the story is what makes that game, without the story, the game would be boring and it will have no drive.
As a player, does the story happen to you, or do you make the story happen?
