Believe it or not, I still use DA, but mainly to snoop around through my friends' pages and leave comments that usually lack any kind of importance. Frankly I just have nothing to upload anymore since I stopped drawing back in 2004 when I sold out and devoted my life to SCIENCE. And there's also the fact that my scanner is a gigantic piece of dogshit, which doesn't help much.

ANYWAY, the only things I really have to offer these days are photos of my fucking costumes, and I know you're all soooooo thrilled about seeing my big dopey face in multicolored wigs and elf ears. But maybe some of you are, since I just got a whole wave of new watchers after and started posting photos of me on their accounts.

So here's the plan: if you guys are REALLY interested in seeing them, I'll start posting costumes up here again. But if not, no big deal, I'll go back to being a lurker. Not THE Lurker, mind you. That asshole still owes me 5 bucks.

Yeah, sure, it's set in Jersey (and it LOOKS like Jersey, thank god). But being the artsy-fartsy person that I am, Frou Frou is reason enough for me to go see this. The second is an internet exclusive trailer, which I saw first, and drew me into the actual context of the movie before I even REALIZED they're using one of my favorite songs to promote it. Is it just me, or is there somewhat of a Donnie Darko vibe to this?

Ate at my first Pannera today... yet another addiction in the making. And the Day After Tomorrow was surprisingly good, although the stupid part with the wolves made all of us laugh like idiots... which I don't think was what the writers intended.

I looked at my calendar today and realized AnimeNext is like... hmm. THREE WEEKS AWAY. So I decided the rest of the day would be spent on costuming until I realized I still need elastic thread. Le crap. So I made Cara's Lenne earrings instead. ^^

A friend of mine from work, Carrie, drove me to this place up in Weehawken yesterday that had a Japanese bookstore and TONS of supah cute-o Asian doodads... basically like a dealer's room, but we were the only white kids. I spent about... eh, 100 bucks or so on a Rahxephon artbook, a CD, and FFIX figures. And I found a cute little Trigun thingymajig for Kitty!! So yes I have to give that to ya sometime ^^

...and because I'm a freakin' lunatic, I am saving up to buy the ultimate Amano artbook collection they have there at the store for like... 300 bucks. It's mine. Today wasn't so productive... mainly because I woke up at 12:30 and sat watching dumb J-Lo movies all morning. I got cracking on my Honeybee costume for AnimeNEXT, but after pinning everything I realized sewing stretchy fabric onto stretchy fabric requires STRETCHY thread. So I moved on to making my feather armbands, which came out fine... but shed like crazy. I'm going to have to carry a lint brush with me.

Apparently the teachers in our district are going on strike soon... so I had to march around the Board of Ed building today with my mom and a bunch of other teachers. My brother and I kinda got bored after a while (who wouldn't?) and started chanting stuff like "Viva La Resistance!" and "Burn the witch!" Then we escaped and got ice cream and coffee.

I'm watching the Matrix Reloaded right now. Cripes this movie is awful. Monica Belluchi shows up for a few minutes to act sultry and shoot things and then the movie goes back to its regular o.O self.
