A tattoo artist from a local parlor came threw my cash late last night at work. Saw me doodling on a receit X3 He told me he really liked my style. I said I wanted to be a tattoo artist... just wasn't sure how to get started. He gave me his card, told me to stop by his shop sometime for a vistit and see how things are run. Hear some stories about how everyone else in the parlor got started.

Good news: My step dad says he'll buy me a laptop and I can pay him back as I get paid. I don't know when I get paid first though.... I still may be a month or so without a computer.




So... contest is over in a week. If you REALLY need an extension I can extend it by two weeks. Just tell me and I will. I am working on entries for other peoples contests... my exchange is going to be late but I'll try and get on moms computer tomorrow since I have the day off and work on it along with other trades. I stumbled across her while surfing threw DA, looking up random deviants then looking threw their favourites like a creep, then looking up the favourites of all of those people. You find some neat little treasures when you creep people like that. Call me a stalker but some of the most amazing artists are found by this method. Miss Kirtsywhiting is no exception. She has such a darling and fun style that shows how Disney inspired her yet she has warped it into her own unique look. Her characters are beautiful and well designed, all of them very playful. Her image Purple Love is my favourite though. It is so passionate and moving and powerful yet it all undertoned by the calming purple background. Such a mixture of emotions truely protrays what true love it. A spinning turmoil of just plan awesomeness. Is that a word? Heck sure it is X3 She is just all around amazing at art and deserves a little recognition.

Have you ever done that thing where you wake up and yet you’re not fully awake, you’re still sorta dreaming a bit?

Ya I did that this morning and I swear I almost pissed myself I was so scared.

So the dream. I was a werewolf. I was being hunted by random people my mind made up, or at least I didn’t recognize any of the, and I was in a forest. I was running away from them, I could hear them screaming at me, calling me a witch and screaming “Burn her!” as they chased me. I’m a werewolf right? I can run pretty fast you’d think. No no matter how hard I ran the people chasing me never got any further away.
Finally in my dream I came to a cliff where I was cornered. When the people got closer I jumped off the cliff.
Then I did that thing when you suddenly feel like you’re falling in real life and you jolt awake.

To understand this story you must understand my room. My bed is in one corner with one of the long sides pressed up against the wall. If you are lying with your back to said wall you are facing my door. On the back of this door is a full-length mirror.

When I woke up from my falling I gasped and looked in the mirror, it’s unavoidable. What I saw wasn’t my reflection of me lying on the bed but a bloody werewolf sprawled in my stead, me from the fall in my dream.

So I screamed and jumped up, feeling myself over. Obviously I was fine. I felt out of breath as if I had been running though and I had a headache. It was all very very freaky and I didn’t go back to sleep last night to say the least X3
I still have that headache and I refuse to look in my mirror at the moment lol.
Being scared of the dark and the wind doesn’t help either. God it’s been windy lately, and rainy too. Just a whole shit load of crappy nights of me not being able to sleep :/ Boooo! Kipraw needs sleep in order to be smiley! If kipraw doesn’t get sleep she is a moody, bipolar beast from hell 8D Full of lovely smart-ass comments though and a whole lot of “Hi you’ve reached Brittany’s brain! I am currently unavailable. So I’m designing a T-shirt.


I’m either going to be using fabric markers and drawing directly on the shirt or doing a gel-medium transfer, though I’m not sure how to do the second method but we are learning in my art class. So I could do either. That part I’ll decide mostly on which method is easier/cheaper. If you have another method please do let me know!

First day of school:
My friend and I make a deal. If he found me a job I’d find him a boyfriend.

Only problem is how the hell do you find gay guys? Gay guys themselves have a hard enough time finding a boyfriend so how am I, the straight girl, supposed to find a gay guy for my gay friend? My town is very short on them at the moment and even though I’m at a new school I still don’t know how to go about this X3 Not to mention my town is the home of many people, and not only teens but full grown adults, that have a personal hate on for homosexuals so they tend to keep their sexuality on the down low. It’s really sad actually L I wish I lived in a more accepting place but is there anywhere really where everyone is accepted for who they are? Sad world we live in….
Ya so this is going to be hard :/ Not to mention he’s got higher standards then any prissy, popular girl I know. Good lord he’s not making this easy on me. A part of me hopes he doesn’t find me a job. I’m going to fail miserably on my half of the deal, though I’ll try my hardest.

Also on the first day of school:
I watch some guy chug two of those big plastic water bottles, the ones that are supposedly unbreakable, of rum then chased it with some other kind of hard liquor. Some people tell me it was vodka; others tell me it was moonshine. Regardless he didn’t handle it too well. He then got alcohol poisoning and spent the rest of the day laying beside the front entrance behind a bush and telling people to go away and let him die X3 He’s find now. Way to start off a new year eh?

What else happened at school? Well I’m in a program geared directly towards arts and arts only. No math or science or English. Just four good hours of art J It’s really relaxing and laid back, I love it. Um, my best friend proceeded to piss me off within the first ten minutes I saw him and then continued throughout the rest of the week. Then my other friend bitched at me for no good reason. Good lord now I remember why I hated school. Drama. I’m stuck in that sorta group.

I have to ride on a bus for two hours in the morning and an hour and a half in the afternoon to get to my new school
What else? Ummmmmmmmmmmmm…… I drew a pwetty picture using crayons It’s actually really good so I’ll be uploading it as soon as I can take a picture. I have an new found love for crayons <3 The new school is new lol. It’s so much bigger but at the same time smaller. I have met some new people but I wouldn’t call them friends and hopefully never do. I get to go to the same school as Mason now though. He’s a sweetheart and always trolling for booty X3 I swear, think Quagmire from Family Guy. That’s him. He’s a doll though. After I shot him down and told him there was no chance back in grade nine lmao. We became buds after that. I get numbers for him and he buys me lunch all the time. Fair trade I’d say X3 His words are velvet though. Good lord can he put together a sentence and just make you feel amazing though…. It’s scary. I’m a girl who loves a guy who can actually talk and I can have a conversation with. He’s that kind of guy. If he wasn’t such a womanizer I would’ve considered giving him a shot X3

I’ve been worried about my cat for some time now.


He’s had a cold for about a month now but we didn’t have to money to pay for his vet bills and it wasn’t serious. I just made sure he got his rest, drank lots of water, ate plenty of food and kept his strength up, hoping this would all pass. Well things got worse yesterday.

His nose started bleeding. Nosebleeds in cats aren’t a very good thing. I’m starting to think he has cancer. He’s old; his mom had lots of health problems in her old age as well.

He also has a strange lump on his paw, though I thought nothing of it since it never gave him any trouble. He didn’t limp; he didn’t favor that one paw. When I squeezed it and applied pressure he just looked at me with the stupid cat face like “Wth are you doing? You are not worthy to touch me.” It got really swollen this morning though, and it still is, and though it’s not causing him pain he is starting to favor it. When he sits he lifts it up. I applied pressure to it today and got the same old look though. So again, it’s not painful. I think it just bothers him to stand on it.

I just looked at him. His damn nose is bleeding again.

So we’re taking him to the vet on Monday. If this has happened to your pets in the past and things ended up taking a turn for the worse don’t tell me that. Just smile and let me be ignorant. Honestly if this cat dies on me or we have to put him down I’ll be a wreck for a month at least. I’ve had this cat for 15 years and he’s the only reason I’ve made it threw half of my problems. He’s the only one who knows my dark past, my dirty little secrets. He’s moved with me, from house to house. We’ve been threw a lot and this may seem weird but I see him like my brother. He can’t talk but he comforts me when I’m upset. I love him more then anything in the world. If he dies I really don’t know what I’ll do.


But something tells me that it may be his time.

My descision was that it sucked.

Personally I like my vampires dark, evil and badass. I wouldn't say I was angry at Stephanie Meyer for making her vampires sparkle, but I did think it was silly and made vampires seem like pansies. But what is wrong with that? I've come to understand something.

Just because it's not my cup of tea doesn't make it a bad idea.

Vampires are a myth. Any author can do whatever he/she wants with them. hell authors do whatever the hell they want with creatures that exist on earth today. Wolves being a very good example in my books. We've made them talk, we've given them prophecies, we've given them wings and clothing and romance. If we can modify a creature that actually exists to suit our preferences.... can't we do the same to a mythical creature with no set rules at all?

I've bashed Twilight HARD in the past, as I do with anything I don't like. I really shouldn't though. Stephanie Meyer grasped for something new, tried to do something that wasn't already done with Vampires. They are an old myth, it's hard to come up with something new yet she did. It's actually impressive.





Is this a journal about me coming out of the Twilight Closet? Oh god no the books still blowed chunks. I didn't like her style or the characters. The relationship between Edward and Bella was weak. There was nothing that attracted the two together besides the point the Bella smelt like food and Edward was hot. I'm no relationship specialists but something tells me that something like that wouldn't last X3 As long as they remained vampire and human. Convert her to a vampire (which Stephanie did thank god) and I can see that ship floating X3

It really made me think. Angel was kick ass, and he had a soul. Vampires shouldn't have souls. Blade was just fucking epic and he was half human. Lolwut? Ummm... I just laughed at Count Chocula and The Count from Seaseme Street X3 Vampires can be whatever the hell people want them to be.

I'm not deleting my Anti-Twilight stamp though cause I like it X3 I'll just make a Pro-Twilight one to counter act it haha.

I lost a friend in a car accident yesterday. We weren't best friends or anything, I still cried my heart out for her. She was a sweetheart, even if you didn't really know her, it would hurt. Her sister, who I knew better, is still in the hospital and is being labelled as in Critical Condition. I went to the accident location today and put flowers by the cross her family set up.

I am getting stuff done, so please bear with me. I'm just, tying up a few loose ends and the girl in the hospital was one of my boyfriends best friends so I'm trying to hold him together while doing trades/presents and commissions.

Honestly though, just send me a not to remind me. I sorta wiped my mind and lost the piece of paper I kept notes on so I'm sure I've forgotten a few of you.

The death I'm talking about is of Traditional Art.

I rarely see it anymore. Sure there's Pearl, Goldenwolf and others... but they're all wolf artists. I rarely see portraits anymore. I rarely see paintings, (In acrylics, oils or watercolours), and pastels and coloured penicls and charcoal. There are sooo many amazing mediums to work with and they are few and far between. Digital art is great, I'm a digital artist myself. And I realized that though I still do some traditional art it never makes it to DA. I never take the time to just take a picture of it and upload it. We all started as Traditional Artists, every one of us. That was our beginning, our big break. Now we have forgotten about it. We are drawn to flashy images made on the computer. Sure its hard to do but honestly, traditional art is harder. Thats why we never do it anymore. At least, that's why I don't.

Do me a favor, and go out there and comment/fav/collect some traditional art. Keep the artists motivated. Just go and find five pieces of traditional art you like, any medium is acceptable, and comment on them. I lost a good, old friend recently who left DA because her tradtional art was being lost in the flood of digital artists and wolf artists.

So, find 5 pieces you like and post the links to them in a comment in my journal, include your own work even if you'd like. IT MUST BE TRADITIONAL though. (This includes Darkroom developed photography as well if you ask me). I will feature everything you post

Capture the emotion contest:

This contest will be running for a total of 4 months, so you got a lot of time Great prizes too :3

So, the contest rules are pretty vague lol. It needs one of my characters (listed below) and it needs to capture an emotion you feel they represent. It can be any size, any medium… any colour or emotion. Love, hate, fear, passion, courage… whatever. Any emotion can be done as many times as you want so if Bobby Joe is doing Love you can too. I wish I actually knew someone named Bobby Joe. That’s be awesome! Make the picture moving and powerful.

I'll be a bitchy, hurt, probably suicidal, fucking pathetic piece of shit no one will pick up after I fall... I'm just so angry and hurt. Hurt is an understatment. I constantly feel like someone stabbed me in the heart and the knife is still logged in there and everyone keeps bumping the handle, only pushing it deeper...




I would've done anything for him! I had his back, I loved him... but he doesn't love me. He never did. I have to put a smile on my face everytime he walks by, everytime we hang out so that he doesn't know how much he hurt me. I'm his best friend... and he knows I'll take care of him when everyone else abandons him. He knows I'd never take advantage of him, he know how much he means to me and god I know I mean so much to him...

But as selfish as this is going to sound it's not enough. It really isn't enough. God what I would give to hold him just one more time... to kiss him just once more. The only way to heal this is to completely push him memory from my heart... but I can't. I have myself convinced that a little bit of his love is better then nothing but its holding me back, ripping me apart....

I can't do this. I just can't. I want to leave DA...


Just fuck it all. I give up. Life's just a game no one can win. Why the fuck play?
