It also means soon after is family, gift-giving, and maybe a white blanket of snow on Christmas, when we all celebrate the endurance and returning of light and life in the northern hemisphere. This is still my favorite celebration next to Samhain, and I'll celebrate the return of Spring as quickly as the next person. Shame the party's celebrated right on the brink of the COLDEST part of the year! But I guess they were really hoping Spring would come back fast as it could in ancient times. And if I use "celebrate" one more time in this paragraph, I'll get the literary book for it.

In the chilly meantime, I've put together a collection of my Winter Season works, either for myself or others to view. The un-holiday one was just chosen for a similar mood.

Info to Commission WingedSonar!

I had several designs planned this time, rather than one, and three made it to completion, though there are still two pumpkins get to potentially carve. We'll see. For now, check out the ones that made the cut in my gallery!

Here are also some of my previous carvings:

The Village parade was also attended yet again. Ironic I should bring a good camera...and yet get no good shots of myself actually IN the parade. During the parade, however, Cobra Commander and I were stopped several times for pictures, I was lightly spanked once (O_O) and even gave a row of high-fives and hugs to spectators upon request. Definitely an awesome experience. And hey, one of the photos of us taken by a parade-goer actually came out pretty cool! I've edited background noise and water specks, and he's given me permission to show it here!

There's also a test shot of my costume before tweaking, but this is the crown.

Next is November into December, when I come up with yet another four gift ideas for the winter solstice and Christmas.

So stay tuned, there's going to be plenty of holiday visual entertainment to see!

Info to Commission WingedSonar!

In spite of the huge welcome of a crowd he received at his panel (where the line to get in was absolutely huge), he still remains a humble, very casual and kind creator of what some of us can't help but love to this day. His willingness to stand in the fansanity circle and chat it up so loosely with the lot of us for hours just thrilled and amazed me. There were several other ReBoot coworkers there, and it seemed as though everyone Gavin knew was incredibly casual, if not embarrassed by fantarding. Seriously, I must have been all over the place. I was barely calm enough to go ahead and ask some ReBoot questions, thanks to Cyrion egging me to it. XD I was so nervous at first about it, but he assured me he had no problems about talking about Mainframe Ent's brainchild.

I also got to give Gavin the null I made of Mouse, and I finally got to hand GlitchBob his null of Bob from the episode Identity Crisis II. Gavin noted that he's been given so many nulls in the past, from one life-sized one to a whole big box of them. Hopefully, having one of Mouse is new to him, as he's mentioned her being his favorite character. I wanted to give him something unique, but I suppose I should have guessed he'd already have a few nulls.

Gavin also signed a few things while at his and Jim Su's table, and some were eye-openers for him. The group of us fans were talking amongst ourselves, certain he might not have remembered everything that he gave the go-ahead on to produce. There would just be too much to remember. Some of them were Fleer ReBoot Cards, the coloring book, black employee t-shirt, and my Season One UK press back. That one he recognized right away and gave me a tiny backstory on. I didn't bother explaining the backstory of the t-shirt to him. The coloring book another fan brought in he also couldn't resist flipping through, just amazed he was seeing it again, occasionally pointing and being surprised at the contents. I would have obsessively recorded everything, but A) it would get annoying, and B) I only brought one disc.

The interview panel for Gavin and Dan was even better. Eventually, that will be online. I got most of it on my camera, though questions about Transformers coming back ("If you can figure out how we can get the rights to do so, let us know, you'll be a very rich man." XD), getting the original voice actors back ("Well, as you know some of these people have passed on...") and the closing statement from Dan Didio and Gavin regarding the future of ReBoot were not on film due to rationing. Unfortunately, I saved some tape for when Paul Gertz came on instead of getting all timeless comments from Gavin and Dan. ;D Needless to say, I personally was a bit lopsided about Gertz's ability, or lack thereof, to answer questions without stepping on fans' toes, but the film on my camera cut out before it went downhill, which is to say, about two minutes in. Now, because of his responses in the panel, I'm back to fearing and hoping that they don't do to ReBoot what Toonami did to Transformers. Though the comic panels I've seen look to be going close to original designs.

I'm sure some people who were also filming will contribute to a single online file for all to see. What was revealed in that panel discussion was absolutely nostalgic and so much fun. I must admit that the revelation regarding Cecil alone had me desperately trying not to shake the camera with my laughter.

For the duration of the convention, it must be mentioned that I got to hang out with some very awesome fellow 'Booters, one of whom I've known for nearly twelve years online and finally got to meet in person and several of whom have accounts here on DA. To Emidecimal, Cyrion, DivineRoseBoot, GlitchBob and Jackie: Finally meeting all of you was so fantastic. I had an amazing time hanging out with you all and getting to know you better...

You pull it away from the wall to find it unsealed, opening it. The contents are a tad moldy and discolored from age, but the loose yellowed pages within hold messages little more than the scribblings of an addled or perhaps misguided mind.]

"No niche can define you. The grouping in question is a word, not a person. We can't fall into labels or we lose something of ourselves and become a group mentality upon reaching the bottom.
