I know I haven't been uploading any art or updating my journal for a while, so just a quick note to say I'm still around and checking messages.

I'm trying to make lemonade quick enough for all the lemons coming at me, but I'm getting a bit buried. Because of this, I have not done any commissions but I will let everyone know when they are open again.

The Palm Court of the Plaza Hotel, the storybook home of Eloise, was the site of the announcement introducing ELOISE IN AFRICA, an animated feature that will be released to coincide with ELOISE IN PARIS, a live-action feature written and directed by Charles Shyer.
One of the true classics of children's literature, ELOISE was written by Kay Thompson and featured the iconic illustrations of Hilary Knight. The first book of the series was published in 1955 and four more have followed as children's bestsellers in the United States. In 2003, HandMade produced two ELOISE TV movies starring Julie Andrews that aired on ABC's Wonderful World of Disney. ELOISE AT THE PLAZA and ELOISE AT CHRISTMASTIME have sold over a million units in DVD sales.
In the brand-new ELOISE IN AFRICA, 6-year-old heroine Eloise is joined by Nanny, Skipperdee (her turtle) and Weenie (her dog) as she travels from the Plaza Hotel to Africa where she helps uncover an international animal smuggling ring. The direct-to-DVD film will be directed by Animation Collective's Sergei Aniskov. Patrick Meehan and David Ravden will exec produce the film along with Larry Schwarz and Doug MacLennan. Production on ELOISE IN AFRICA began in October and will be done entirely at Animation Collective's New York studios blocks from the Plaza Hotel. This will be the first in a yearly series of animated films taking Eloise on adventures around the world.
A release date has not yet been set."

I'm not working right now, but trying to get my portfolio together to apply to some places that will involve new experiences, meeting new people, and new projects. Because of this, you guys may not see new work from me for a little while. When I'm done with everything in my quest for work, I may reopen commissions to get some grocery money.

Hi guys,

I'm sorry I haven't posted in a long while- and Padre Pio is over a year old even though it is a new post. I've been busy freelancing during my free time. I've also taken on the job to read Harry Potter in the last 2 months and have finished all 7 books. This has brought on a sudden feeling of wanting to finally do some Harry Potter fanart, starting with Severus Snape. Right now he is 85% done!!! I WILL FINISH THIS HOPEFULLY BY THE END OF THIS WEEK FOR HALLOWEEN! I will also be dressing up as Bellatrix Lestrange for the day.

While that is slowly going - which actually involved a pencil for once!- I will be cleaning out my deviations and moved 9 pieces to scraps for now. I will redo a few from scratch while others will be deleted later. I've hit another spike in my search for my art style. I now am looking at what I've done, including recent works, and find myself shaking my head disappointed. I need to force myself to stop returning to the anime handicap. I was never a really huge fan of anime - except for Full Metal Alchemist and Miyazaki's Totoro.

So I hope you all come along for the new ride as my works are going to slide in and out more often than they used to.

Watch Speed Racer and Three Delivery on Fridays from 7:00-8:00pm on NickToons.

This will help me out a lot and drum up the support we are searching for! Most of you don't know, but I'm a layout artist and designer on Speed Racer. I know from staring at my screen everyday for hours on end, that is has a cool overtone plot and easily addictive after a couple episodes! So please watch it and rave it in replies here, on your blog, or visit the websites if you enjoyed it!
