In other news;

Metroid Prime 3 ROCKS. It is SO good. And yes.. it has OBVIOUSLY copied some elements from Halo... But it still has that Retro Studios originality that I love and shmex so much.

Shall Rob buy an XBox 360? I want him to get one (because of Halo 3 and Assasins Creed), but.. the Red Ring of Death looms over our conciousness like me hungrily looming over a slice of carrot cake- ready to demolish....
...Sooooo thats why we might not be getting one. Oh yeah, and the fact that we're supposed to be saving up to move away in September..

Lance shows his real nasty side, and a new character is introduced. We learn a little about the culture Lee and Lance, along with his little buddies, belong to and some interesting facts are revealed about Rose.

I'd love to see some fan- art, even if your pics don't look anything like mine (which is actually a good thing...!). I like to see what comes out of your imagination when you read my words.

In other news: I will finish Anguish of the Fallen soon. My Dearest Rob is so sweet and is making a film of it! How exciting! ^_^ Waaaah And he is playing Lee, too. Which is good, because although there are some differences, he does look quite similar. I know he'll do an excellent job because he is alwayas making films for fun and he got an A in his film studies paper!!! FIRST DRAFT!! HOMG He is so clever

Oh, and fantastic fact number one: Lee used to have really long hair. Like, so long, he actually wore it in two bunches. Yes, it's true. I will post a quick pic up of it soon enough, but trust me, for years thats how he was. I changed it pretty soon because my characters evolve and grow along with me, and he just fancied a haircut

In other other news, my workplace is a tip and I hate it, and the person who has just taken it over clearly hates me, so I'm going to chance her opinion by clearing the mess up and working really hard We also have to wear uniform now, so I'm expressing my fasion sense in other ways apart from clothing: copious amounts of Jewellery. It's giving my wrists plenty of excercise

Wish me luck for Sunday though- I'm starting my new job ^___^

I hope to have a sketch ready and submitted into scraps by Tuesday, as thats what time I'm coming back to Robs mums house.

I would love to take requests- BUT no fanart, please come up with something original- and I welcome vague ideas such as simple the words 'sunlight, moonlight' and things like that. I love to create my own work from simple everyday words.

I've had loads of people tell me 'it would look nice if you did some shading', well I haven't done that bit yet, so it's still gonna look pretty crud.

Okie in life... Uh, not much, apart from I have aquired some new friends ^_^ Herrow people, mwah
My japanese could be going better- I still have a lot to go in the ways of everyday speech. I'm not exactly going to go up to my partner and say 'How do you say this in Japanese?', am I?!

But I've just downloaded a really cool program which EVERYONE learning a language should get.
It's absolultely free and really useful.

If you go to [link] (it stands for 'Before You Know It' ), you can choose from a wicked range of languages to download. It's really helped me with my Japanese- but I don't know what the other languages are like...

Yuh, so I'm doing a lot of that today. Plus I have to start writing my personal statement if I'm going to university NEXT YEAR 0_o
I am SO nervous- theres not much I can do with my crap A- levels, and this art course looks really good- but I HAVE to enforce my desires for working in the Game Art career into the course, which I think will be hard. I picture loads of girls painting flowers on canvases, and theres me sketching men with guns and supernatural powers.. *gulps*

But hopefully I'll manage it

Yeah, so I've been pretty busy- mostly trying to work out how to colour this pic mess free. I think I've cleared it all up... *looks again*

So next up is the shadows! I'm crud at shadows. And I dunno whether I should do the background first or not. I suppose I could and ask all you nonexistent watchers to give me some tips on smartening it up- whaddaya think?

On the life front, theres not much to say. Went into town today and had a nice lunch (I've taken a liking to smoked salmon- it reminds me of sashimi ) and I brought a few notebooks to do some work in. I'm teaching myself Japanese, which is really hard, but I wanted to do something extra creative during this year (as I'm not in education), so as well as (hopefully) getting a job, I'll also be learning the computing language, Delphi, and building up a nice portfolio to present to the peeps who run the art course at the uni I want to go to- thats what I'm doing on here.


Maybe I'll monitor my progress of all three on here- not that anyones interested! ^^

...Ok, the last one isn't so bad- in fact, contrary to speculation and statistics, that was probably one of the better aspects of my day. (Sarcasm MUST be present at times like this)


So yeah. Of course I would like to point out that I have NOT committed an actual crime...


Anyways, on the art front. My mermaid (which has no name- note me if you have any ideas) is currently bieng inked. Its taking absolutely AGES to do it, but it IS looking great. It'll be up soon.

If anyone is passing onto my page randomly (Hey, only about a million- to- one chance of that happening! *Keeps fingers crossed*), please take the time to look at my scraps- theres only two at the moment, so it won't take a minute to give me a tiny comment- just to keep me happy! So yeah, it's a Mermaid. I am going to put up various stages into the scraps. It'll be interesting to see how it changes through time, and also how I work.

I'm not too nifty with Photoshop but now I've just got myself PSCS (I'm not bothered about getting anything newer than that) I'm going to aquaint myself heavily with it to ensure only the best quality for my loyal and most plentiful (oh, the sarcasm!) friends.
