Coincidence? I think not. By the time the work was taken down, I'd contacted about seventy to eighty of the original authors. And a fellow blogger gave the site some unwelcome attention by pointing out the illegalities. The site administrator never emailed me back--it probably had something to do with the fact that I was the only one who could have contacted the original authors--but he left an "explanatory" comment on the blog of the fellow blogger. (And he also responded to some other authors, who had contacted him because I had contacted them.)

Good news and bad news--well, kind of.

Bad news first: my procrastination appears to be causing me some issues. Case in point: whenever I go to do something, the internet distracts me, or I start pacing. My plan for a to-do list has gone down the drain. Any ideas? This thing is messing up my writing, reading, rollerblading, homework-finishing, and chores.

So, I started a new story. While it's on the good ol' drawing board, I'm calling it "Tar". That's the main character's name, of course, though I'm introducing several others.

Can't say much else about it, other than that I'm posting it here. Do me a favor, Levim, and don't read it right away. I feel like I've got multi-personality disorder sometimes (for example, when writing), and things can come out of my character's mouths that I know for sure I could never say.

But that's the glory of writing, isn't it? Falling into a character's shoes, living it with them?

Geez, I write all the time. Why do I have the most trouble with this whole 'introduction' stuff?

But we'll start with the writing. I am Larken Rye on FictionPress, and though my stories aren't the best, I can honestly say that I'm working on it. Practicing writing every single day can be a bit mentally tiring.

I'm learning to play hockey, and have a healthy respect for all things falling under the category of "skating". There's not much else to say in that respect.
