Today I turned 17. :O

Wow, I'm still amazed that it's already my birthday.

I joined this site when I was 14, and now there's only one more year until I'm considered a legal adult. Isn't that insane? 8D

Anyways, the last few days were really fun.

~DarkDragonRising slept over on Wednesday night and we played Mario Kart and Pokemon Platinum on my new Nintendo DS... Then earlier today (yesterday actually, but pretend it's still December 31 xD) my friend ~babapenguin and his mom offered to take my mom and I to The Cheesecake Factory, a really expensive and fancy restaurant with a 32-page menu. FUCKING DELICIOUS.

We ended up at ~babapenguin's house to watch the ball dropping in Time's Square, and we just got home about an hour ago.

Unfortunately, my birthday is over now, buuuut... YAY I'M 17.

FrÃ¶hliche Weihnachten!

Once again, it's been absolute ages since my last journal... Sorry about that. >__> I'm usually too busy with schoolwork and/or too lazy to post anything, but now that it's Christmas Break, I have LOADS of free time!

And I also need to start posting artwork again, I think it's been 4 or 5 months since my last deviation. O__o I bet everyone thinks I died long ago.

I can't believe there's only 15 minutes 'til Christmas!

(and for most of you, it already IS Christmas 8D) This year has gone by so fast that it's almost disorienting... It feels like I should still be a sophomore, yet I'm halfway through high school and it's the night of December 24. It's bizarre how it seems like time is dragging by until you look back on the year and realize it really hasn't been.

I'll be turning 17 next Thursday, which means that I'm legally allowed to view R-rated movies without adult supervision (I already watch them anyways xD), I'll be able to legally download teh prOnz in one year (I already do that too), and only 4 more years 'til I can legally down some booze (Eh.

). But even though I only have a few years left of being a teenager, I still feel like I'm about 14 or 15... definitely not 17. I still watch SpongeBob if nothing else is on TV, and I even collect Pokemon cards. Does that seem like something a 17-year old would do? O__o

As for Christmas presents, I already know that I'm getting a Nintendo DS from my mom and a game from my dad (Mario Kart

), as well as quite a few packs of Pokemon cards and hopefully a decent amount of money. My dad also ordered some badass weaponry from a catalog -- a German dress sword and a dagger to go with it. I'll be posting pictures in my next journal, of course.

Le Disappeareth

I should be shot.

I kept telling myself this summer that once school started, I wouldn't start disappearing for months at a time and that I'd actually keep up with my messages... Some joke that was, eh?

Now my deviation count has almost hit 4,000 again, which is... depressing. Very much so. .__.

But here's the good news: From now on, I'm gonna make a huge effort to actual be a part of this community again.

I'm gonna get up off my lazy ass and start ACTUALLY DOING STUFF. Isn't that just smashingly fantabulorificous? 8D *creepy psycho grin*

So I just wanted to start by talking about some of the stuff I missed over the past month, namely Halloween.

I have no idea what any of you guys did for Halloween this year because I haven't read ANY journals from the past few weeks, but I'd love it if you share some stories.

My Halloween wasn't very eventful-- I didn't go trick-or-treating and instead ~DarkDragonRising stayed over and we played Grand Theft Auto IV all night. Fun? xD

Also, the MLB World Series came and went, and being a Boston Red Sox fan, I'm extremely unhappy to announce that the New York Yankees beat the Philadelphia Phillies. >__> But of course, you all probably knew that because IT HAPPENED TWO WEEKS AGO. *smacks myself*

Drugs?

Just curious: Do any of my watchers do drugs reguarly?

'Cause I just found out a few weeks ago that my dad has been a habitual pot smoker for the past three decades.

I never really suspected it, although I probably should have. He's already a pack-a-day smoker (which I despised throughout my childhood), and he was always sneaking off to the garage under the pretenses that my mom and I "drove him away"...

But he was actually in there smoking pot, while he blamed us for not spending time with him.

What an asshole.

Artwork Troubles >__>

Ugh, I'm so disgusted with my drawings at the moment. .__. A few of my sketches have turned out okay, but whenever I draw something, it just doesn't feel... right. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

It's always either the anatomy or the pose I have trouble with, and it seems like when I get one right, I fail horribly at the other.

Like for instance, the sketch I'm currently working on for ~Zack-The-Dragon -- I have the perfect pose, but I keep fucking up the anatomy to the point that I've been stalled halfway through outlining for 2 months. D:

And to top it off, my tablet is being a royal fucktard and it keeps giving me error messages and shutting off. >__> SINCE WHEN DOES THE TABLET DRIVE MALFUNCTION? *smacks it* So now I have no idea if my tablet will continue to function properly... Hopefully that doesn't mean more artwork delays.

I might end up switching back to traditional art for a while because it's easier to color fur with pencils... And you guys always seemed to like my traditional art better anyways, even though most of my old drawings were total crap.

My scanner is almost refusing to scan stuff though, so I dunno if I'll even be able to scan traditional stuff. BAH. Dx

The one drawing I'm somewhat happy with right now the sketch for ~Creative-Dragoness, so you might be seeing that soon. Otherwise, it might be a while.

Wow, it's been AGES since I typed my last journal.

Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been hit with an extreme bout of lazyness lately and my dA profile has suffered because of it. O__o

So anyways, I'm currently on Fall Break and loving every minute of it!

Our break lasts an entire week this year, instead of two days like the past few years. And believe me, I really needed a break from that hellish nightmare we call school. :3

Now here's the downside: We have to take the PSAT during the break.

The idiots scheduled Fall Break at the same time as the PSAT testing, so now I have to wake up at 6:30 on Saturday morning and take a 4-hour test at my school. Kill me. .__.

Hopefully I do well though, because if I score as high as I did last year, I could win a free scholarship to an in-state university!

Also, I just had a crazy awesome day with ~DarkDragonRising and ~ostracizedbleu and I hope we can have more random fun tomorrow!

Rozak and I decided to set one of his old Furbies aflame in the park by his house, and afterward ~ostracizedbleu joined us and we hung out as Rozak's house for a couple hours. 'Twas truly an amazingly random day. 8D

Comics?

Sorry for that depressing journal last night...

Like most people on dA, sometimes I just need to get that stuff off my chest before my sanity hops on a plane to the Bahamas and leaves me sitting here at my computer desk. .__.

Anyways... I've been toying with the idea of creating comics for YEARS. In fact, I decided to start my own comic series back in 5th grade (named "Jeff Comics" for the main character).

Instead of drawing them, I wrote the dialogue to each comic on separate note cards.

After 3 years, I ended up with a collection of almost 7,300 note cards.

So naturally, I think it would be awesome to actually start DRAWING them now (and of course, submitting them to dA so you guys can see them), but I don't really know where to start. I was always reminded that my characters looked similar to the Garfield characters back then, which is true, because Garfield was a big inspiration for me.

To start remaking my old comics now means that I have to adapt my old character to my current style, while also changing their designs.

I do have some really good ideas though, so if I ever get around to it, I might start submitting some of them.

Even if it's just a crappy sketch or a WIP... I always get kick out of making everyone laugh.

I've also considered creating a bandwagon wolf comic, but I'm not sure if I'd attempt that just yet.

My style is going in the right direction, but I need to improve the consistency of my anatomy before I try something so complicated. I also need to be able to devote quite a bit of time to it, something that I'm not able to do at the moment. Who knows, maybe someday I'll even turn my unfinished Dragonia story into a comic? 8D

Screw this.

I'm canceling all of the artwork that I owe. (there are a few exceptions, so please read below)

Check my "Current Drawings" list to see which drawings I'm still going to do.

Why am I canceling everything? Because I feel like I can't draw anymore.

That doesn't mean that I have a lack of inspiration or anything like that -- in fact, I've felt very inspired to draw something Okami-related lately, but every time I try, I end up getting so frustrated that I just give up. .__.

Personally, I think I have a pretty good grasp on canine anatomy, but it seems like it gets worse every time I try to draw a wolf. Every now and then I'll create a sketch that I'm really pleased with, but for the most part, I'm not happy with the direction my artwork is going.

It's something I've been having trouble with for most of this year, and it doesn't seem to be getting better.

So don't expect new artwork for a while. I'm canceling all of the free icons that I promised you guys during the summer because I just don't have time for that, especially now that school has started...

Maybe if I find time later on I'll get to those, but for now, sorry.

(And knowing me, I'll probably promise everyone more free stuff, then I'll either forget about it or get so overwhelmed by everything else that I'll never get around to it... And then I'll hate myself for bailing out on everyone again. .__.)

I might also cancel a few trades, etc. I think the only drawings I'm keeping on my to-do list are kiriban pics and drawings that I owe for Pokemon cards. I'm gonna finish those drawings if it fucking kills me.

Breaking *gasp* Dawn

Well, I'm approaching the conclusion of the Twilight series, and strangely enough, my main concern isn't that Breaking Dawn will mentally scar me to the point of no return.

Most of my school classes are really boring this year, so naturally my attention turns to whatever book I have in my backpack... So instead of paying attention in school, I've been reading the Twilight books. >__>

*flunks* .__.

But anyways, it's really not as bad as I assumed it would be.

Bella is a lovestruck retard in Twilight, and emo bitch in New Moon... But she was actually a bearable character in Eclipse. And even though I really don't like Edward that much, Jacob and the other werewolves keep me entertained.

My favourite characters so far are Jacob and... Alice.

'Cause I dunno, she's awesome. WAY better than the other vampires by far, and who can go wrong with Jacob the werewolf? I still stand by the fact that the series would have been much better off if Bella had ditched Sparkles and gone with Jacob. :3

I'm about 100 pages into Breaking Dawn at the moment and still cringing as I dread what I'm about to read...

Bella and Edward just had their happy vampire lovetiems on their honeymoon... D:

Green Daaaay!

That concert was absolutely friggin' amazing!

Green Day was playing for almost 3 hours (a long time for a concert to last, don't you think? O__o), and almost every single song they played sounded great.

They play really well live and Billie Joe is excellent at getting the audience's attention -- he screamed "PHOENIX!" quite a bit, and also cursed a lot too. 8D

One of the best parts was when he took a SuperSoaker and doused the crowd in between songs...

They also let a few members of the audience come up on the stage and sing with them, and one guy even got to play the guitar part of 'Jesus Loves Suburbia'. Friggin' awesome.

Also, Franz Ferdinand opened for them! Two great bands for the price of nothing!

Well, this sucks.

I stayed home from school on Monday and Tuesday because I woke up and my right eye was swollen halfway shut. We went to the doctor's office, and apparently I have some sort of infection. D:

It's not really anything serious, and it's pretty much healed up already, but I'm annoyed at the fact that I have to take 3 pills a day for the next 4 days.

I'm one of those people who have a hard time swallowing pills, I dunno why. .__.

Luckily I've pretty much caught up on the homework I missed... I guess I chose a good time to be absent.

OH DEAR GOD - Twilight!

Sometimes I wonder if it's possible to have an educated conversation about Twilight.

What with all the drama-llamas running around, the squealing fangirls (who, might I add, become quite violent when provoked O__o), and all the insanity in general... It's really tough to talk about this book.

My friend ~babapenguin and I made a deal a few months ago that if I read Twilight, he has to read (and finish) the Harry Potter series.

He hasn't held up his end of the bargain yet, but I just finished the first Twilight book earlier today, and...

I LIKED IT.

And don't you dare misinterpret that as
"I FUCKING LOVE IT OMGOMG SQUEEEE *explodes* <3<3"
or
"EDWARD CULLEN IS SO HOT I WANNA MARRY HIM UNNNFFFF <3<3".

What I really mean is that I consider it to be a fairly decent book.

I'm not twitching on the floor after my latest bout of fangasms, and yet I'm not utterly disgusted with Stephenie Meyer's representation of vampires either.

I simply thought it was a good book.

The problem is that there's no middle ground.

It seems to be one of those books that everyone either loves or loathes, and I can honestly say that I fall in neither of those categories. Some of the romantic parts were completely overdone, and I dislike how Bella constantly mentions Edward's brainwashing beauty, but I also found some aspects I really enjoyed. The word choice, fluency, and all-around readability of the book strike me as pleasing. I also thought the plot was fairly interesting, despite the overly romantic moments.

There, intelligent conveersation. I just kicked your drama-llama's ass! >8D

Now on to 'New Moon'.

This summer went by so ridiculously fast, it seems like just yesterday that we were celebrating the end of our sophomore year.

Now it's back to another 9 months of slaving away at our desks. >__>

I'm really dreading my 1st hour class -- AP Calculus.

Not only will this class be incredibly difficult, but my teacher is the same jackass I had two years ago for Algebra II, and he made my life a living hell. I dunno how I'll survive another year of pure torture! D:

BACK! :D

So if you were wondering why I randomly disappeared for 9 days... it's because my dad dragged me off to San Diego again.

You have no idea how much I missed talking to all of you on dA. O____o *explodes*

The trip wasn't all that bad though, especially because ~DarkDragonRising got to come along for part of it!

My dad and I left for San Diego last Saturday, and ironically, we stopped at Rozak's house to pick up my swimsuit HALF AN HOUR before he got home from his Canada trip. My dad was too stubborn to wait though, so we left without him. >__>

Luckily, Rozak's mom is an airline employee and receives free plane tickets, so Rozak was able to fly to San Diego on Wednesday night and we picked him up from the airport.

My dad is still a dumbass though.

=Kenshinxx quoted to me, "San Diego is a place where you have to have friends with you to enjoy it", and I believe that 100%.

The first half of that trip was so boring that I felt like repeatedly bashing my forehead on a wall, but when Rozak was there, it was actually fun. 8D We got to go sailing on my dad's friend's sailboat, swimming in the ocean on Coronado Island, and just sightseeing in general.

Hopefully I don't go to San Diego again anytime soon though, because my inbox is really suffering here on dA.

Okay, so first of all, let me explain... Just like the other 99% of English-speaking children on the planet, I was also completely obsessed with Pokemon back when I was 8 or 9 years old. I started a collection of Pokemon cards and eventually I managed to collect all of the first 150 Pokemon, and most of the next 100 Pokemon after that. :3

AND NOW THEY'RE MISSING.

I have no idea where they went, and even though I've scoured every corner of my mom's house and my dad's house, I still haven't found my cards... What makes this difficult is that my parents got divorced about 4 years ago and my mom and I lived with my grandma for a year before moving into our apartment -- which means I have 3 separate houses to search. D:

My grandma found a box stuffed full of Pokemon cards in her garage, but they were mainly just common cards -- basically, cards like Voltorb and Geodude that I had about 20 of. None of my rare cards were in the box, and at the moment, I only have one holographic card: a Raichu card with a bent corner. My holos and other rare cards were all in a small book with sleeved pages for placing the cards in, and I still haven't managed to find it.

So I'm offering all of you a deal: If you still have your old Pokemon cards, dig them out and check what holographic cards you have! If you have something I want, I may be willing to draw something for you.

These cards are probably at the very top of my list, so if anyone has one of these cards -- I WANT. I'll draw fucking anything for you. Seriously.

Ice Age 3

I've been putting off writing this journal for almost a week now, so I guess it's time I finally do it...

So anyways, ~DarkDragonRising and I went to see Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs last Friday, and it was amazing! I love the first two movies, but in my opinion, this one was even better. :3

I love the addition to the cast, Buck the dinosaur-hunting weasel. He's so insane, but hilarious at the same time, AND he has a British accent. 8D I might end up drawing a random fanart of Buck or Scrat, although I dunno which one I'd rather draw -- they're both such epic characters. xD

If you haven't seen that movie yet, GO SEE IT! It's definitely worth it! <3

Hot Topic

Hot Topic is probably one of my favourite stores at the mall, and one of the only ones that I actually find interesting -- my mom usually drags me around into all kinds of women's clothes stores... I'd rather cut my own arm off. >__>

We went to the mall last week and I ended up getting a bunch of awesome new accessories: a black studded belt that's spattered with red paint; two new wristbands; a new pair of Vans shoes; and a couple of random shirts, one of which has a wolf on it!

Normally I don't go all crazy over this stuff, but I haven't mentioned the best thing of all -- A PENTAGRAM NECKLACE. I've been wanting one for years now, and ~DarkDragonRising and I managed to find some epic necklaces in Spencer's and we couldn't resist buying them. I also bought him a necklace shaped like a sword. :3

Oooohh Canadaaaaa

Remember how I mentioned that my dad wanted to go to San Diego for another week in July? An awesome opportunity has come up, and I might be able to get out of going with my dad altogether!

~DarkDragonRising's mom has relatives in Sasketchewan (Saskatoon, specifically) that they visit every summer in late July, and I might be able to go with them! Which means that I would get to meet one of my best dA friends, the amazing =Nekoori, IN REAL LIFE! 8D

The only problem is that even though ~DarkDragonRising's mom works for the airlines, they fly standby and I'd probably have to buy a ticket... which can't be cheap. But according to Rozak, both his brother and sister have brought friends along in the past, so it's only fair that I get to go, right? x3

Gone on Vacation!

Okay, well first of all, let me apologize for that last depressing journal. I was just being stupid and feeling down about my drawing skills for some stupid reason, and I decided to dump it all on you guys.

But anyways, back to the main point of this journal! I might be leaving dA for a while, and as a much as this pains me, it's because I might be going to San Diego in a week or two! <3

It'll most likely only be for a week, give or take a day or two, but that's still long enough for my inbox to explode with even more deviations and messages -- as if it already wasn't bad enough. At the moment, I have 4,180 deviations and 249 messages.

I might end up un-checking all the boxes in my DevWatch so my messages stay at the same number while I'm gone, but I don't really want to get that far behind the times. I like staying updated with you guys, so I'll probably just suffer through it. O__O

Right now I'm not feeling very optimistic about my artwork, or my future on dA... I've had so much fun on this website and I've made some exceptional drawings, but where has it gotten me? Pretty much nowhere.

I love talking to you guys on here, and in fact, you're a big part of what makes my life enjoyable, but I'm beginning to get kinda bored of dA... Of course, I'd never quit altogether, but if it wasn't for the fact that I'm drowning in backed-up deviations, I probably wouldn't log on for the rest of the summer.

And to make matters worse, I have horrible art block. If a 5-year old stole a pickup truck and just so happened to run over a box of crayons as he was careening wildly down the street, my recent sketches would look like the wreckage of said crayon box. >__>

Soooo I dunno... I'll probably log on quite a bit this summer, but don't expect to see many drawings from me. After all, the results of my latest poll show quite clearly that I haven't improved at all over the past 8 months. Whenever I draw wolves, I constantly screw up on the anatomy, especially on the legs and paws... ]]>

Okay, so I'm sure soome people have noticed that I've been totally neglecting dA over the past few weeks... That's mainly because I wanted to focus on my finals, and dA is too much of a distraction. Seriously, I have so much to update on here that my brain overloads just thinking about it. O__O

But here's the good news: I'm back online for THE WHOLE SUMMER now! Yesterday was my last day of school, so now I have loads of free time to spend talking to you guys! 8D

Of course, some of that time will probably be devoted towards my new addiction, playing Grand Theft Auto IV online. It's SOOOO FUUUNN. But I'm pretty sure the majority of my summer vacation will be spent on the computer! Maybe now I can actually get stuff done with the BSP...

Wow, it's been a month and a half since I last updated my journal... which, sadly enough, is a record for me. Normally the longest I'd go is about 2 weeks, but I've been too lazy to do anything dA-related lately, so my profile has suffered for it.

At the moment, I have 3,352 deviations and 296 messages -- which is also a record. O__O I dunno exactly how I'm gonna manage to get through all those, but somehow I think I'll survive. The only good thing is that now I know for sure I'm NEVER going this long without updating again... Seriously, 3,000+ deviations is not something to be proud of.

Spring Break!

Does this happen to any of you guys too? I think I've been sick every year now for the past 5 years during Christmas time... It's like an evil curse that comes back to haunt me every holiday season... O_O

I just randomly started feeling sick last night, but I didn't think much of it since it was basically just a slight headache and a sore throat... But then I woke up this morning with the most intense headache I think I've ever experienced, and I even get migraines... I was planning on typing this journal like 4 hours ago, but I'm just now feeling like I can type it without passing out. Dx

What really sucks is that I have finals this week, so if I miss any more days of school, I can kiss my 4.0 GPA goodbye... I'm just glad I didn't have any of my finals today... I have to go tomorrow though, which is really gonna suck if I'm feeling as bad as I have been...

Oh, and the ironic thing is that Rozak texted me this morning saying that they were giving out awards in our 1st hour class... I would've gotten the Perfect Attendance award, but I was absent on the day they presented it! So now I don't get it! Normally I'd be kinda pissed, but that's just too fucking funny not to laugh at! xDDD

So is anybody else sick too? It seems like half the people I know usually get sick around this time...

I typed that back when I was completely unaware of Anonymous and its twisted group of people that have nothing better to do than prey on innocent deviants... They're just a bunch of immature fucktards that have no life and compensate by feeding off their "lulz". Until now, I hadn't heard anything about them and none of my friends or acquaintances had had the bad luck to become one of their victims...

And now there's !VampireLefa.

DON'T GO ON THAT ACCOUNT, BTW. They have a habit of uploading "mature" pictures, usually involving some sort of disgusting pornographic mutilation pic... They changed all of the pictures in her gallery to, erm... something you REALLY shouldn't see.

She's stated on her =kyubigirl account that she's now leaving dA forever because of this, which I really think is a shame... The hacker changed her password, making it so that she can't log onto that account, but she can still use =kyubigirl, which was her main account up until a few weeks ago... So hopefully she'll make the decision to return and stay with that account.

Could you guys could please go show her some support? Leave helpful comments on =kyubigirl, and try to avoud going on !VampireLefa if you know what's good for you... The hacker logged off anyways, so there's no point.

I'm sure most of my watchers will have questions about this, especially the BSP members, 'cause quite a few of them are friends with both of us... So I'll do my best to describe what's going on right now.

Libbie and I have pretty much decided that calling off our relationship is a good idea for right now. Ironically, we broke up right before ~littlechibi submitted an adorable gift drawing of Fyrien and Aurora, so everybody make sure to go give her some love.

We basically broke up because of the lack of communication and physical contact. Maintaining a long-distance relationship when you live in different countries can be... difficult. Libbie's already going to college and I'll be there in a couple years -- we're both really busy right now and I'm sure we'll be even busier then, so I have no idea how we'd make time to see each other. O_O

Also, prices have risen to the point where flying from England to Arizona would cost a fortune, so she won't be visiting us here next year either... It's really sad for me to see this happen and it's the last thing in the world I wanted, but it's for the best. We're still good friends and it seems like everything is going to be fine between us, so no worries there. :3

Okay, so before you all start asking questions -- NO, my old Okami CSS (pictured here) is not available for free use... I might be letting Rozak use it, but otherwise, sorry, you'll have to get another one.

I dunno exactly why I decided to change it... Probably because my personal life is going through a few changes right now, so I guess I figured I should change the CSS with it. I think the dark colors match my page a lot better, there's just something about a cream-and-pink colored journal that bothers me... O_O ...Maybe 'cause I'm straight.

Halloween's still a week away and I already have a party to go to! ...Should this be -*gasp!*- the return of the emo vampire? D:

Haha, this is awesome! ~ostracizedbleu is holding a Halloween party tomorrow night, and pretty much my entire friends group is invited! :3 ...It may be, erm, "fashionably early", but considering that ~Ranafroggie is holding another party next Friday, this is gonna be one awesome Halloween!

I still have absolutely no idea what I'm going as though... We haven't bought a costume yet, but haven't even really had the time to go buy one anyways... And Rozak isn't going (he got grounded xD), so that means that we can't both go without a costume like planned...

My friend Matt suggested I go as a giant taco! Not kidding, they actually have a taco costume at the Halloween store down the street... I'm thinking it might look something like... THIS. 8D

No really, I might just go as an emo vampire again... It's what I've done for the past two years, and it's never failed to be epically retarded! ...That, or I'll just go as a pedestrian like Rozak suggested... xD

Wow, I'm going to have been on dA for an entire YEAR in a few days! O_O It seems like just yesterday that I was harassing my mom to let me get an account... xD

I seriously can't believe it's been a full year since I created this account... Think about all that's changed:

A year ago, I pretty much wandered around the Internet at will, searching random wolf artwork on Google, and then I'd get bored and go play my PS2. ...I definitely didn't have as many friends, and I doubt I'd even believe myself if I could travel back and time and tell myself about all of you guys... Hell, I hadn't even met Libbie yet! O_O

And then there's the *BlackScythePack! Our awesome wolfie pack hasn't quite been around for an entire year yet, but it'll be going on 9 months of random craziness and cuddly violence soon, and I still can't believe how much the pack as a whole has flourished! :3 ...We have 121 members, and I'm sure that number would have TRIPLED if we didn't restrict the amount of new people joining...

So yeah, this journal is basically just here to thank all of you guys for making my first year on DeviantArt an awesome one! ...It's pretty obvious how addicted I am to this site, considering that the only days that I'm not online are the ones that I have to spend at my dad's house... *grumbles* Dx

Oh, and I have to give a shout-out to Libbie and *CaptainMorwen, 'cause they're just about the only two of my watchers (besides ~Rondomness and ~ostracizedbleu, my school friends) that have had to put up with me for an entire year... Congratulations on surviving! xDDDD

Okay, well when it comes to (American) football, I have no idea what I'm talking about, 'cause I'm mainly a NASCAR/baseball fan... But, of course, that doesn't mean I can't enjoy an exciting game at my school's football field! :3

We lost miserably, 38 to 7... We weren't even really paying attention anyways though, we ran around acting like total retards for most of the time anyways... I ended up going with Rozak, ~Ranafroggie, ~bleachberry, ~zmcnyy2, and two of my other friends that don't have dA accounts -- pretty much the craziest group that Dobson High School has to offer! xD

What's really funny is that we bought random snacks like nachos and
giant Pixy Stix and messed around for most of the time instead of watching the game, mainly 'cause we knew our team was getting their asses kicked anyways... Eventually we ended up doing stuff like chasing each other around the campus, spitting Pixy Stix powder at each other, and making random screeching noises into my cell phone...

I swear we don't do drugs, but we're retarded enough to make everyone think we're high anyways...

OMG New Truck!

I seriously can't believe my dad actually bought something so expensive... It's a 2006 gold-colored Toyota Tundra, and I don't think it's even really even been used considering that it's in practically perfect condition... O_O

What's really weird is that he paid $14,600 UP FRONT. ...He actually sat down, wrote a check for $14,000, and paid for the entire truck right there.

How the hell does he have that much money to spare? He just went through a divorce not uch more than 3 years ago, and at one point, he was even considering selling his current house... The frustrating part is that he absolutely REFUSES to buy Internet for my computer over there, and he apparently has more than enough money for it... Seriously, is a $20-per-month charge really that significant?

I'm pretty sure the reason that he won't buy it is because he thinks I'd use it to look up porn or something... WTF is wrong with him?? Not EVERY teenage male has an obsession with downloading porn 24/7...

Sure, there's Rozak, but well... It's Rozak... And now I'm really glad he doesn't know I draw/look at yiff, 'cause that would absolutely obliterate my chances of EVER getting Internet over there... O_O

No School!

WOOOOO I'm so excited! We have the day off from school today and tomorrow because it's the end of the grading quarter, so I finally get some much-needed time on dA!

...I've been really inactive lately too, and my pageviews reflect that -- I normally get 300+ pageviews on Saturday and Sunday, but I'm barely ever online during the weekdays, so I've been getting less than 100...

What's really awesome is that I might finally get rid of the hundreds of messages that have been piling up in my inbox for months now! At the moment, I have 93 comments and 10 deviations, which is a huge improvement from the 400 messages and 300 deviations I had 2 weeks ago...

The only bad thing is that I have to go to my dad's house for the weekend... Buuuut I'm still here 'til Friday at 6:00 PM, so expect a lot of messages from me until then! :3

I totally fucking agree with that. What with some of the stuff this lady believes in, we're royally screwed if McCain gets elected preident, 'cause I don't trust her with such an important position.

I had heard plenty of rumors about Palin and her promotion of aerial wolf hunting before this (most of it from you guys xD), but this is just... horrible. Her argument is that the wolves are hunting too many of the local moose, therefore making it more difficult for Alaskan hunters to kill moose for sport.

Is that not a win/win situation? à² _à²

This provides the wolves with a much-needed food supply, while robbing the hunters of their prey; my beliefs center around the fact that hunting can only be justified if it is necessary for YOUR OWN PERSONAL BENEFIT. This means that, if your survival doesn't depend on the slaughter of this innocent animal, DON'T FUCKING KILL IT.

Another point that even the article fails to mention is that aerial hunting is an extremely ineffective form of hunting. Not only do the wolves have NO chance to defend themselves, but the hunters' shots are often very wild due to the fact that they're flying in a helicopter, causing inaccuracy and a higher probability of the wolf suffering a great deal before it is finally slain.

Freaking hell, THE BITCH OFFERS A $150 REWARD FOR SEVERED WOLF PAWS. Does she have no respect for living creatures, save that of her fellow human beings? Wolves aren't even her only victims either -- she also endorses the aerial hunting of the Alaskan bear population.

New CSS!

I'm sure this CSS is gonna make quite a few people jealous... I was starting to get a little tired with the one I have now, and due to the fact that I don't there are any Okami CSS designs on dA at all, I decided to make my own! :3

Altogether, this disastrous route was quite perilous, and although Maya doubted that the narrow space actually led to an exit, simply following it until it ended or led to an opening was her only option if she wanted to escape her pursuers. She could hear Skeran's grunts of exertion as he nimbly dodged fallen stones and chunks of debris behind her, determined to catch up with his prey before she managed to discover yet another route of escape; Keyrah and Ruska lagged behind, their tongues lolling lazily out of their mouth on they wearily blundered onwards, a complete lack of enthusiasm preventing them from keeping pace with their persistent captain. Using the fallen debris to her advantage, Maya grasped a chunk of rock about the size of her paw and hurled it backwards, chuckling grimly at the resounding screech from one of her followers. Ruska yelped in agony as he clasped a paw to his wounded snout, shivering as he felt the sensation of his warm blood dripping down onto his furry chest. Keyrah, who jumped aside in shock and almost caused an avalanche of debris as a result, halted in order to comfort her fellow soldier, who had now stopped moving forward and was clutching his mangled snout, whimpering. Only Skeran continued doggedly onward, driven by his hot temper and the desire to prove himself to his warlord by brutally murdering the intruder of Imperial Castle.
