Thankfully, I think I did fairly well on my practice TEXES exam for Educ. If I did, I might go ahead and take the state exam to get certified.

Leaving for Yule in a few hours, also REALLY hoping I can get back home and back to the Con on Saturday night so I can see Gregory Macguire. The ONE WEEKEND I'm NOT gonna be home. DX< Wish me luck that I can go. T^T

Hoping to get at least 10,000 words while not doing anything at the Con and finish my 50,000 word count over Thanksgiving break. Ghost Opera won't be done in 50,000 words, I can tell that already. Most likely it'll be done in 100,000-200,000 words, so I'll also be working on that during Christmas break as well as catching up on my reading and sewing Belgium. It's been going in a weird direction, but not a bad direction.

Yup. Didn't make either of my goals this weekend sadly enough, but getting 8,000 words in two days was not easy. Decided to take the day off yesterday to edit was probably a real good idea. So I have to write another 10k over the next two days to get really caught up.

Thank GOD for Yule this weekend! We're trying to figure out our ride and see if we can get up there on Thursday. Me and and several others are going to be there volunteering (aka sell our souls for badge and crash space). Excited though, will have Christmas!Russia and I'm thinking about wrapping my pipe with red ribbon to make it look like a candy cane. Have to steal a friend's machine since mine needs to be fixed to finish the little details tomorrow.

Got our Education practice test in 30 minutes. -sigh- The test we have to pass in order to take the State exam. -headdesk- Will keep updated.

I was strangely enough VERY accident-prone. My shot knee kept giving out on me, including when I was about to head upstairs on Saturday morning to change for the Hetalia shoot and I banged my head pretty good so I was a bit disorientated and dizzy so I was forced to sit for a couple of hours so I couldn't go. :< I tripped over my own heels for Tsubaki when we were heading to our Soul Eater shoot and fell flat on my face then on Sunday when I was bringing my big stuff downstairs, I tripped on my dress for Rin when we were getting off the elevator and fell flat on my ass. >

Converted a few more people over to Hetalia with our Hetalia marathon at the table on Monday morning when we were passing out from lack of sleep and caffine. Had a few Belarus cosplayers say they're going to stalk me when I cosplay Russia at A-Kon...Don't know if this is good or bad.

Will post more news if I feel like it after lunch. ;D

Just found out yesterday, LEMIT (right upstairs in the same building) hired me and for a start pay of $8 an hour. Relieved? Definitely. A-Fest is next weekend, and I really can't wait. ^^ Rin and Tsubaki are almost done, and I'm hoping I will have my Glot before I leave for Dallas on Thursday after classes are over. If you're going to A-Fest, let me know. >D

Alright everyone, it's time for my political rant corner once again. Normally I'd keep my mouth shut, but reading through this compiled list of the main points in Obama's healthcare plan not only have me worried, but infuriated. I'll point out several that jump out at me.

#1: Pg 30 Sec 123 of HC bill - Establishes a Govt committee that decides what treatments/benefits you get

Pg 29 lines 4-16 - Rationing of health care

Pg 42 - The Health Choices Commissioner will choose your benefits for you.

Alright...Does this sound very socialist? I looked up the definition, the definition of Socialism is "a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole."

The government rationing health care and deciding what every single person is allowed to have, which leads to these:

#2: PG 265 Sec 1131- Govt mandates & controls productivity for private Health Care industries

PG 272 SEC. 1145 - Controls treatment given at Cancer hospitals

Pg 354 Sec 1177 - Govt will restrict enrollment of Special needs people.

Pg 239 Line 14-24 - Govt will reduce physician services for Medicaid. (Meaning: Seniors, low income, poor affected)

Alright, those statements all coincide with each other to the point that it is ridiculous. If this plan is supposedly to better the plans for the people who need it most such as the elderly, cancer patients, and special needs it is only hurting them with what the plan is proposing to do. If this plan gets passes, the people who need it most won't get the type of treatment they need since the Govt. would have complete control even over private hospitals. The Govt. if this plan passes would decide what every single person would get health care wise by what they think we need, not by what the doctors would say. With this plan if it's passed, as an example I would fear about the possibility of getting a most likely needed knee surgery and the Govt. saying that I wouldn't need it. Of course it's not as bad as saying that the Govt. will restrict treatment to cancer patients, the elderly, and people will special needs; but it is an example of one of my own health problems that I fear won't get fixed if this passes. If they restrict the people who need health care the most, who can say what will happen to the people who don't need it at the present time but in the near future?

#3. Pg 429 Lines 13-25 - The govt will specify which Doctors can write an end of life order.

PG 430 Lines 11-15 - The Govt will decide what level of treatment you will have at end of life

PG 427 Lines 15-24 - Govt mandates program for orders for end of life.

Meaning: The families and the person in question would no longer have a say in whether a person lives or dies, in particular when under a doctor's care but the decision would be based on what the govt. preceives is best. So for example, if a person is in dire pain and is on the verge of death and the family wants to put their family member out of their pain, they can't do so unless either the person dies of natural causes or the govt. says they can. This is saying that the govt. has no empathy for those who are about to die or are dying, that they can play God and they decide who lives and who dies and what kind of treatment the dying receive. Oh, doesn't this sound vaguly familiar?

#4: PG 50 Section 152 - Health Care will be provided to all non US citizens, illegal or otherwise

PG 91 Lines 4-7 - Govt mandates "linguistic appropropriate services." (Translation: for illegal aliens)

Pg 170 Lines 1-3 - Any nonresident Alien is exempt from individual taxes. (Americans will pay)

Alright, I know I can't say I'd be a cold, heartless person when it comes to this but the taxes and everything but it annoys me that this will give more incentive for illegal aliens to come across our borders and not try and get certified as a US citizen because they would get the same benefits as a citizen without the taxes. Now from the sound of it, this would legalize being an illegal alien and getting the same benefits.

#5: Pg 58 - Govt will have real-time access to individuals' finances & a National ID Healthcard will be issued

Pg 59 lines 21-24 - Govt will have direct access to your bank accounts for elective funds transfer

Ok, today I am drinking the most amazing coffee drink ever! It's the Starbucks iced dark chocolate mocha bottle drink, add hazelnut and nice, then blend it in the blender. AMAZING. I'll be drinking this a lot come November I can say that much.

Also, I looked up the latin translations for the parts that are sung in latin, DEFINATELY to scary for kids to understand, more geared toward adults. Didn't really notice it when I was a kid, but it's weird picking it up now that I'm older.

The semester is finally over, so I have 2 more weeks for a break (well...from school anyway) before summer classes start. Haven't gotten my grades yet, pretty sure I made all A's this semester though. One more year to go before I graduate and get into the master's program. ^^ I'm thinking that it was a good idea for me to go an extra year to get my education minor and start working on being certified in 8-12 so I have a teacher's certificate to be able to fall back on.

I have two new residents, two baby rats. ^o^ I have an albino named Rin and a black and white named Loki (friend named her after her albino that died). They are so fluffy and soft and adorable, though Rin has been liking to be a spaz when I'm trying to sleep...o_O;;

A-Kon is next weekend and I'm extremely excited. 1. What is your favorite doll that you have and why?
Definately Wrath. She was my first, and will remain my favorite. She's got so much personality it just seems as though her character just completely seeped into her resin self which is obvious through the camera and off.

2. What is your favorite company and why?
I don't really have one...But if I had to choose Soom. I've fallen hard for their monthlies, with my Beryl head (who my poor boy is still waiting for his body..) and with my Amber on layaway right now. It shows that people are into interesting, different sculpts that aren't pretty boys or are young.

3. What are your top 3 favorite molds and why?
Beryl - The pout. I've fallen so hard for that pout, my friend Dani here at school calls Sascha (my Beryl) Mr. Grumpy Pants because he has that pouty mouth. Don't fuck with the Beryls. >D
Unoa Sist: I just love the sweet, serene smile on the Sist, which can translate (as which is obvious with my own Sist Helena) can easily convey to many different molds.
Amber: The ears. The ears are just so adorable, they grabbed me at first glance and I couldn't resist...Damn you Soom.

4. If you could get up to 5 dolls, which ones would you get and why?
Luts Dreaming Lishe: Perfect for Wrath's older self, I want her to live in 2 ages here.
School A Hybrid: For Helena's older brother, Demitri. I love the lips on the School A's so much. <3
Zaoll Muse: She is going to be Demitri's fiancee, Allison. The teeth got me, I love dollies with teeth. <3
Soom Shadow Onyx: Have no character for her....But I wish I had gotten in on the order after I saw owner pictures. She'd probably mold herself like a lot of my others have.

I love gray skin, I don't know why.

I'm not a big fan of a lot of the Volks sculpts, a lot of them just really bother me.

Ok, now for the crazy news. A couple of days ago, an old 80 year old lady in the apartment complex just a couple of buildings down from me holed herself up in her apartment with a 22. calibur either pistol or rifle, not sure which. Well, the people working on the apt. hadn't heard from her in a couple of days so they called the cops to go check on her. One of the guys working on the place opened the window to check on her and she pointed the gun at him saying she'll shoot if anyone goes near her. Of course the guy jumped out of the way, the stand-off from what I understand lasted for 7 hours. I was outside for two hours with my neighbors watching all of this, and watched as they brought in the bomb squad and the swat team. I don't know the result of it yet since I was kidnapped by friends before the end of it since they didn't want me near that at all and run the chance of getting hurt. Yeah as I was watching all of this, calls and texts were flying on what was going on. It was really messed up too, since it was just a couple of buildings down from me. Stuff like this doesn't happen in my home town, especially a medium-sized, two college, college town. I'll post the outcome when I can actually find out what it is.

Classes for me technically start next Tuesday, but my online Spanish class starts tonight. > Wish me luck so I don't kill myself from school overload, just taking the Spanish class online over the summer was hell and ate up all my time...I'm taking 12 credits of classes ontop of the 4 hour credit spanish online class...I'm hoping my poor brain can survive.

On another note, I know I have mentioned the chibi apocolypse on here. Well, me and have started the plotting on recruitment. While we have started to recruit people at Cons, we want it to become more wide-spread. I mean come on, you don't have to worry about zombies since you know they want to eat your brains. Its the chibis you have to watch out for. X3

We are planning on making a website and a Myspace for it and branch out from there.

Its called 'A Lion Among Men' and is in the POV of Brrr, otherwise known as the Cowardly Lion. I'm on pg. 64 and I really am enjoying it so far.

Because of the book its got me motivated to at least get started on Elphaba in at least to start finding certain pieces and work on the evil skirt. Going to try and have it done for A-Kon, if not it'll be pushed to A-Fest. Not that I would really mind, it'd give me the summer to work on it. It will all depend on my Glinda.

Blah I want to know when they're going to come to Dallas. I want to see the show so bad. ><

Anyways, on another note. I have been recruited for another cosplay due to what said about my hair (From what I tell, I won't need a wig. Thank god) and 'big boobs,' I've been recruited to be their Angela from the new CG movie Resident Evil: Degeneration for their Resident Evil group. Yay for a SWAT outfit and a gun to kill not-zombies!

Wow this is becoming extremely weird since I'm being recruited to do all these female cosplays when I think I do better at cosplaying guys...Weird.

Then again I've also been recruited to by Kyle from South Park as a bit of a crack cosplay for a South Park cosplay group. Red fro wig FTW! No idea when we're doing it either. Probably A-Fest, along with Wonderland!Soul Eater as well.

Got a new camera (Yay! I don't have to steal my mom's now when I go home) and hopefully I'll be getting a laptop sometime next month.

Finally started to move into my new apartment, still have some stuff to move in and a lot of organizing and putting away to do but at least I no longer live in as a few of my friends here at school have dubbed my old apartment, "the over-sized walk-in closet".

And of course with moving there has to be at least one accident.

I was trying to get my pole lamp out from behind my chair and I had completely forgotten that I had the fan on. On of the shades shattered (so that has to be replaced) and me and my mom had to use white-out to cover where the fan blades had hit my lamp. For once I was happy the apartment was so tiny so it was easy to clean.

Well, still have a lot to do so I won't be able to do more until I go back on Friday. Moving couch: Won't be fun.

Ok, I just got back from Yule-Con in Ft. Worth and for a first year con I didn't have very high expectations of it personally. The Con though was completely epic and awesome! Worked at Ami's table pretty much the whole time, not that I minded. During Cons its my hang-out spot anyway. And dude! I don't think I've ever been excited about the prospect of making a dress (I think the apocolypse is coming). But I got an adorable pair of queen of hearts lolita shoes and the matching tights for $45 which the shoes alone would cost $80-$100. Ami helped me design a dress, and I originally had nothing new planned for Ikki-Con in February. Now I do.

Ok, now for the funny part. The creep named Johnny Otaku.

For those of you who know, Johnny Otaku is essentialy a mentally screwed-up whack job who is a self-centered, narcissistic, sociopathic ass-hole. He was at A-Kon last year as Aang from Avatar and he did a "skit" which pretty much was him talking about himself and how he was going to be a great voice actor like Vic. I tried to find the video, I'll try and find it when I get home, it might have been taken down.

Ok, all of this crap happened on Saturday at Yule. He came by the table around 1 and dropped his business card for "Jamp-Con" in Tennessee and was talking to us about himself. Yeah. It was kept for the sheer hilarity of it, had his name and "convention consultant" on it. This is the funny thing, he is supposed to be banned from Tennessee Cons (I'll post a more drawn-out explanation on my live journal later today when I get back to work from turning in my final paper for one of my classes and post a link on here when I do. Why he's banned isn't appropriate to post here on DA.) but he apparantly decided to start his own.

Of course that isn't all that happened.

I only heard about this since I was at the table when this happened. But at one of the Voice Actor panels, he got up and crossed his arms. He was apparantly shaking with rage as he did a 5 minute spheel and I'll give a very slight interpretation of what he said (My friend Roth recorded the whole thing and he's going to put it on Youtube so I'll post it when he does): "I...Moved to Dallas...From Tennessee...To become...A voice actor. This is my life...And my calling...I AM the best voice actor in Tennessee, I AM the NEXT Vic Mignonia! Why haven't I become a voice actor yet?! I have my demo tape proving that I am a great voice actor! Tell it to me straight, no bull crap and stop dancing around why!"

Yeah. The voice actors were flat out dumbstruck by what he said. They essentially said that its who you know, luck, talent, luck, time, luck, etc. He didn't like that so he picked up his crap and stormed out. He then started pacing in front of the panel, glaring daggers at them.

This of course isn't all.

The cosplay contest, again wasn't there because I was working at the table but we heard a ton of different stories. Johnny Asparagus was mad because he couldn't do both a walk-on and a "skit" (More talking about himself), and started throwing a fit when a girl cosplaying Seras Victoria was standing by the skit people since she had her large, prop cannon and couldn't sit down. He threw a fit saying that she was doing both and she wasn't, I think it was the guy who was Luke Valentine who defended her.

Anyways. The judges didn't know who he was and gave him a 'fan-favorite' award. He stormed out and one of the girls who was a judge ran to give him the medal and to apologize, he whirled around and started to yell at her. Yelling at her to go back and announce his award in front of everyone. One of my good friends as J.A. was storming nearly got ran over and trampled on by him and many rumors were flying about what happened to him. Anyway, we heard the yelling so we went to see what was happening to see that he was gone.

Oh it just keeps getting better too.

At first we heard it was a security guard, but we found out that it was Sammi (one of the voice actors and one of the sweetest people around). J.A. manhandled her by pushing her against a window, got real close to her face and said something to the effect of "You are my ticket in! You have connections to Funimation! You can make it happen! I AM the next Vic Mignonia!" Poor Sammi was so shocked she said she had a panel and ran off. When I found out it was Sammi, I REALLY wanted to punch him. I have a presentation and a reflection due tonight in my Reading night class, a presentation tomorrow in my 18th Cent. Lit class, a big 5-10 pg. paper over Moby Dick due next week and my big Novel final next week. Meaning I won't be on much during these next couple of weeks. On a lighter note...YULE-CON this weekend! YAY! Also, I'm going to have my squeefangirlextremelylookingforwardtodoingcosplay moment for A-Kon this coming up year in Dallas at the beginning of June. Me and a large group of friends are doing a group cosplay for the anime Soul Eater, haven't seen it? WATCH IT. Its made of so much ultimate awesome. <3 As you probably noticed, my friend Kaylin is going to be my Black Star to my Tsubaki and so yes we are extremely excited. ^w^

Big cosplay thats coming up also for A-Kon is the (God I'm being suicidal on this one) is the Act II outfit for Elphaba from the musical Wicked. Meaning: Lots of time, patience, frustration and no doubt poking myself a lot with sharp pointy needles.

I'm going to be going through and deleting a lot of stuff in the next couple of days. It is dead week this coming up week and finals right after that that I need to begin studying for.

I have a lot of new ideas floating around, but haven't had a chance to write anything down yet. I've been doing some work on my photo account, lately and I'm hoping to do more photos when I come to my parents house again for the Christmas holidays.

I will be going to Yule-Con in Ft. Worth next weekend so I hope to see a few of you there.

Now that A-Kon is over, focus turns to move out day, summer school and getting ready for Anime Fest. I'll have my new sewing machine so I can work on the new cosplays that will be coming up when I'm not swamped with work and school work. News about them will come sometime during the summer once I make progress on them, including a group that I'm doing with my boyfriend and several friends in the area.

I'm strongly hoping to catch up with writing, I've been itching too but my computer is still packed up for move out day and all of my WIPs are in my files on there. Also, keep an eye on my doll's photo ( ) account as well. I'm planning several photoshoots right now that I'm planning on doing over the summer when I can get my hands on my mother's camera (mine isn't exactly doll or mood lighting friendly P: ) and get everything together. The first one I'm planning on doing sometime in June when I get my hands on some candles and incense so keep an eye on that.

And guys, since not a lot has been going on at work, I've been doing a ton of reading. Any books suggestions so that I can go to my library and check them out? Prachett, Koontz, and Michner have already been recommended. If you have suggestions, please do tell me. I'm always looking for more good books to read.

Only downside was at the dollfie meet up on Friday afternoon, we were there for over an hour, the mall security and the rent-a-cops kicked us out of the food court area because we had our dolls set up on a couple of the tables. >>; Oh well, the other meets turned out great.

I'm moving out this week, the 6th or earlier. I'll post pictures when I get completely settled, and I have no idea how much writing I'll be doing this summer. Yes.

Since Valentines.

3. How did you two end up together?

I'd actually met him at A-Fest last year in his Death but I didn't know it until my friend Michelle introduced me to him as the DFW Cosplay Coalition New Years Party. We hung out a lot and talked after that and he asked me out a few days before Valentines and we've been together ever since.

4. Have you ever gone out with anyone else in your life before that person?

Technically, only 1. I'd met him at a band competition way back when I was a freshman in high school and we dated for around 3 years until he broke up with me when I was a junior in high school.

5. And the one you've had the longest relationship with?

My last boyfriend. For 3 years.

6. What colour best describes your lover?

Green and blue.

7. Any interesting memories?

A couple actually. When we went to the Magic Time Machine because it was the birthday party for three of us since our birthdays were so close, we were all singing Disney songs at our table while waiting for our Roman Orgys and we got Jack Sparrow brought to us on a platter. X3~ There was much fan-girl squeeing, poor Jimmy had to cover his ears.

Another was on Sunday when we were at Scarborough Faire, I got to see him in full Scottish garb...Kilt and all. X3~

No.

You've been so great to me for these past few months, you've just been my foundation when I was going through my rough patches and I don't know how I could've gotten through them without you. Love you!

Anyways, good news also. Everything has been settled, now all I have pretty much to worry about is getting everything done thats due during this month, finals, getting my apartment, and getting fully ready for A-Kon. There is some drama going on with a couple people here at school as well as a few things for A-Kon. Not sure if I'm going to go now, its just something I really have to think about.

I apologize for the silence, this semester has just been filled with drama and a mountain of schoolwork. I'll be posting a rewrite of Snow White that I wrote for an assignment for Fairy Tales and post a ton of new photos as compensation. Worked at Ami's table part of the time also, kept me busy when I wasn't doing anything. I also broke down and bought a loli skirt and mary janes at this con, first time in 3 years of going to cons that anyone has EVER seen me in a skirt let alone a poofy loli skirt. Needless to say, it was funny to see the reactions. X3 I'm going to get a different shirt for it and take pictures when I do. I think I lost around 5 lbs at this con too, mostly from not eating very much and walking a lot.

I'll post more when I don't have to go to class in 10 minutes.

Anyways! Matt is finished and Tsunade is nearly finished, probably going to have a photoshoot for both this weekend and will be debuting them both at Ikki-Con in Austin next week. Meaning for Tsunade, my friend is going to be putting extensions in my hair. It'll be weird since I haven't had hair her length since I was a kid. Me and several friends have a secret cosplay group coming up for A-Kon and another two other secret groups planned for A-Fest, its a hush hush so I'm not going to say what it is. X3

I'm going to Ikki-Con next Thursday after work so as I usually do, I get commisions and ask what yall want to see. ^^ As yall can tell, because of school I've been in a bit of a creative rut. >XP So if you have ideas for commisions, tell me and I'll write them down and see if I can get them done.
