1) Technical reasons. My laptop suddenly died, leaving me with no Flash MX, no tablet (I couldn't find the disc to reinstall it on the dell) and no computer to do it on for a while until we got the dell. I've tried other programs, but they just don't cut it for me. I used Flash MX for years, it was probably the best unless I got photoshop or something, and the vectors and drawing tools were just perfect. In order to get Flash MX again, and maybe a tablet, I'd have to ask my parents. But they'd never be convinced, because...

2) I just don't have the time. My schoolwork doubled, I have a girlfriend, I'm exercising more, and I'll even be driving and (hopefully) getting a job soon. College is coming up, and webcomics just take a back seat. I haven't been doing much drawing in general. However, that's not much of an excuse considering that other webcomic artists are in college, have jobs, and can still draw better webcomics than me. However, I just can't bare to squeeze out that much time, because...

3) I've fallen out of interest. Probably the most selfish reason, but it's what's keeping me the most from doing it. See, back in Middle School I had a kind of self-esteem problem. I wanted to make something. I tried animating, making games, and making comics. The Sea of Dreamland was, by far, the most successful, probably because I actually put it on the internet instead of just made it on paper and showed my friends. But, and it feels inconsiderate to say it, I don't need The Sea of Dreamland anymore. It's nice to publish stuff and get feedback, but I just don't feel like it matters that much to me anymore, and I don't need the attention. My desire to create a story and characters is being channeled into Role-Playing on forums, which is much less time-consuming and more fun for me. I don't even think the Sea of Dreamland is that good, especially when I look at other webcomics, or even other things I'VE done. The art is crap compared to other artists I see, and the writing and plot premise is bad compared what I do for RPs (It was supposed to reflect Kirby games, being relatively simple. What was I thinking!? A simple plot can pass for a game, but not an actual story!). Even the humor is inferior to a paper comic I made in Middle School staring two nameless characters and a superhero named M Man (the M stands for Man).

I no long feel the desire to create internet content. I'm not entirely sure why, but it just faded away.

So I'm sorry to say that I can't continue the Sea of Dreamland anymore. I want to really thank everyone who read it and continues to favorite it despite the fact that it won't even get to the third boss, and apologize for not finishing it, just like how I've never finished anything. And I'm not leaving DeviantART, or refusing to draw. I might publish something now and then, or make a small comic once in a while, like that one Goldeneye thing. I jut can't do the Sea of Dreamland.

If anyone's interested in the plot, I might post it or something. But it's stupid. There's no plot twists. The bosses are from the games, or slight alterations. All of the characters act the same and meld into some homogeneous blob of generic personality. It's just bland and completely uninteresting.

No More Heroes: I was very close to beating Shinobu, the third boss. I had a whole heart, she was very nearly dead. Then some weird cutscene starts and she starts teleporting around, cutting me up into shashimi, and it's a one-hit kill. I was so hopeful, too, I have been trying to beat this boss the past week. This game.. it breaks my heart..

Resident Evil 4: I had no idea what I was doing, jogging around the village with my shotgun, until I got bored and let myself die. RJ told me I had to wait five minutes for the not-zombies to go to church. I tried to go back again, but after a couple playthroughs of the same thing, it's gotten frickin' boring. Seriously, why not let me save whenever I want instead of forcing monotony? At any rate, I might try again, just because I'm not at so much of a wall. (Also, the paper bag guy with a chainsaw is apparently a boss I have to beat. Weird, I thought he was just some random invincible dude that just... shows up. For some reason.)

Drawn To Life: I haven't gotten to the second boss yet. But my brother did. He yelled, "THAT FUCKING BOSS!!!", threw the DS, and then he stole my pencil and threw it.

Lunar Knights: Lvl 90 Dumas kicks my ass. I was almost able to beat him the last time, but while I was trying to dodge his Nightmare attack I ran into an invisible wall. Fuck.

Ugh, I dunno, I guess I'm just out of practice or rusty or something.. but every game I play seems to be kicking my ass lately.

On another frustrating note: My homework for spring break is to write a biography, a literary analysis, take some notes that will be far inferior to the ones I'll take in class anyway, two chapters of chem, a bunch of questions for a lab, and a worksheet. Why two classes assigned me tons of homework and the other four assign me nothing is really weird. And I can't draw socks.

Mostly because Soul Eater is one of my favorite animes. It's cool. It's quirky. It's recurring theme is INSANITY. It has a bisexual emo with a screaming sword made of black blood fighting a giant overall-wearing golem with a demon chainsaw. THAT'S JUST PLAIN AWESOME.

But this last episode... ugh.

Summary: Maka is fighting the almighty demon god. She uses her Demon Hunter attack. Does nothing. She reawakens her inner weapon heritage and does some awesome scythe-generating kung-fu. Does nothing. She's about to be strangled to death or something.

CUE FRIENDSHIP SPEECH

Demon God starts flipping out, his eyes bug and his head does a 360. Maka does this cool running thing and punches him in the face. The Demon God talks more in a really annoying voice that reminds me of the godawful asian drama Hot Shot. Then his face splits in half and he explodes, and EVERYONE LIVES HAPPILY EVER AFTER THE END.

The series was robbed of a truly epic final fight. Even though everything right up until the final episode has been pure win, the series fell short. Here are some things that could have made it better:
1. Instead of getting ignored, some other side characters could have had a show in it. Giriko should have turned into a chainsaw, and then get wielded by a giant Mosquito to fight the good guys that were just sitting in the robot city doing nothing (aided by lantern girl, gloves dude, and Oxford).
2. Maka's anti-demon wavelength could have actually meant something. The friendship speech, giving her courage, should have expanded her soul to the point where she could copy Black Star's Big Wave attack, and injected the anti-demon wavelength into the Demon God, killing him from the inside out. That would've been cool.
3. The part where Maka gets crazy scythe powers makes sense, but ultimately adds up to nothing. She attacks a bit with it, then it's over. No alluding to it previously, and no significance in the episode. Just.. padding for length. That time could have been used more constructively.
4. An epilogue. What happened to all the people in Death City when it turned into a robot? The remnants of arachnaephobia? Free and Eruka? Does Mifune become a teacher? (As Patricia said: That's what fanfiction is for. I guess......)
5. Black Star should have done something epic like Death the Kid did. I was expecting him to fight the Demon God a little after Kid blasted the Witch Soul out of him, but he was knocked out off-screen. Booooring. He should have used the big red sword he used on Mifune one more time.

And yes, I have made a journal for the first time in forevers. I really just wanted to get all that out there.

I'm gonna go read the manga. The art looks funny and the action is crap, so it better have a good ending goshdarnit!

Anyway, my family's getting a new Dell pretty soon, so I'll buy(hack) a new version of Flash MX and get to work on a new comic. Maybe. But so far I've been bored out of my skull. I need more videogames. I should probably save up cash to buy Christmas presents or something though, so I'll just wait until then. I hope to get Lunar Knights, Apollo Justice, Bully Scholarship Edition, Eternal Darkness and Destroy All Humans. Whatever I don't get I'll just buy with gift cards.

So far all I'm doing is playing KSSU and Boktai, and the last boss on hard mode is IMPOSSIBLE. Ugh, stupid kills-me-in-one-hit-in-99-seconds. I always form the last piledriver right before she kills me, and that's not fast enough. And I've been trying to beat Helper-to-Hero with all characters on KSSU, which is too much of a freaking chore.

So, what is everyone else playing nowadays? I'm not satisfied with my Christmas list as of now.

It first started with some weird bug where any program that utilizes the internet would fail to work. When Firefox and IE updated, they stopped working. Because I also had a Mac, I could still access the internet and stuff.

I took it to Fry's, who did absolutely nothing and took 70 bucks. I swear the tech support there has some kind of mental illness. Well, they DID clean my keyboard, but they couldn't figure out what was wrong.

But however bad Fry's was, Best Buy was worse. I took my laptop to "Geek Squad" which is some kind of tech support company that's conjoined with Best Buy, like a siamese twin or a tumor. Anyway, they looked at my laptop and couldn't figure out what was wrong, but they put some kind of diagnostics disk in it. They left it in, and when I started my computer back up, it wouldn't even start up. At all. Yeah, Fry's did nothing for 70 bucks, but Best Buy broke it for free.

Anyway, Flash MX and Paint.net were on that laptop, and the only drawing program I can get for the laptop right now is some stupid Paint knock-off. That freezes constantly. Anyway, if anyone knows a good mac-friendly drawing program (preferably with vectors) that'd be great. I can't seem to find anything. (Also, this Mac doesn't have Intel either. Yeah, it's like a dead kid sitting a Special ED's seat.)

FUCKING DRAGONS! OH MY FREAKING GOD! AND THEY SPIT PSYCHEDELIC FIRE AT AANG AND ZUKO, AND THEY DISCOVER THAT FIRE COMES FROM.. pot, or something, I don't know... AND THEN THEY SHOOT FIRE AGAIN! AND THE NEXT EPISODE IS GONNA BE AN HOUR LONG! AND THEY'LL RESCUE.. Sokka's dad? What about Suki, or everyone else that got captured? And you'd think the Fire Nation would've executed most of them by now anyway. Hmmm..

Erm, anyway, the next picture won't be SoD-related, it's a TWEWY picture. It'll take a while because I can't draw TWEWY characters, but whatever. I've stopped playing the game, mostly because I can't beat that zetta son of a digit taboo Pi-Face and that FUCKING PIG at Pork City. I'll just look at the reports on some website instead of unlocking them myself, like there's any way I'm gonna beat every boss in the game on hard mode.

I should probably read my book and start on my summer assignment too. Frick...

My attacks barely do anything against him! I did Beat's level three fuse against him and it barely makes a dent in him! That's the move that automatically microwaves all noise on the field to death and brings bosses to their knees! It barely scratched him! He's harder than the regular final boss! You're not even supposed to beat him in story mode, just survive him!

He teleports too fast for me to hit him, and his defense is so high that hitting him barely even does anything! Sometimes he even HEALS HIMSELF when I hit him! WHAT THE HELL!?!

Anyway, if anyone knows how to beat Taboo Pi-face on hard mode, please let me know. Because I'm way out of my vector on this one.

(PS the mood won't change for some reason, I am most definitely not happy. Especially not cabbage patch happy)

Anyway, I'll start working on new comics and such. I've submitted a couple old things but whatever. I'm also trying to fix this old computer of ours, it's the only non-mac with good enough graphics to support Portal and stuff. My laptop is too zetta slow for that kind of thing.

I've also been watching D. Gray-Man, Soul Eater, and Code Geass. Pretty good animes. And playing The World Ends With You. Great game.

I also have some other stuff I might get around to drawing, and I kinda want to try out Gimp. And maybe practice... *gulp*.. detailing and shading pictures.

At least school isn't giving me any trouble. I can usually finish homework before school ends, and I have almost all A's. One B. That's the best report card I've ever gotten ever but I'm still kinda pissed because the B is for ART CLASS. I bet the B stands for "Boy do you suck". The A probably stands for average because only one other person in the class doesn't have one. That would mean the C stands for "Cill yourself", Cill pronounced like 'Kill'.

Also Shippuden is pissing me off too. I don't read the manga but I get it spoiled a lot. IMO D. Gray-Man is a lot better. Because Naruto's bugging me, since I don't really like a lot of the characters. And the characters I like either die, or get little to no screentime. Or they don't exist anymore because they were filler characters. Hmph.

Anyway, new comic is about halfway done. I'm kinda going back into a slump though. Oh well. Windwaker is fun, I'm getting back into that. That might be part of the problem too.

Seriously, I wish everyone who spams shields would get hit in the face with an acidic brick and go to hell while their family dies in a fire. But since I can't beat them, by law I must join them! In order to get good with shields (and by "good" I mean spam them constantly) I changed all of my extraneous buttons (by which I mean taunts) to shields.

Personally I like fighting computer players that don't use shields a lot. Ice Climbers uses shields a lot, I can get killed several times by the arena before I land a single hit on them. Sonic doesn't use a lot of shields either, that's why he's cool, he's a nice guy.

Another thing I don't like is the CPU players laughing at me once they win. Come on, have some sportsmanship people.

I might take a small break from the game since it's feeling more like work and less like fun, and instead I'll work on the comic which I promised which I still haven't worked on which I should.


Another thing pissing me off in DA's new organization. SO CONFUSING I WISH IT WOULD GO BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS.

YAY IT'S FUN. I already beat SSE but I won't spoil for all of you slowpokes who haven't beat it. Stage Builder is really fun, I get to make kickass stages although it's still pretty limited. I've made stages of Shiver Star from K64, an underground hobo town, and these two opposing forts which is my favorite stage that I've made.

As for the characters, I'm really good with Meta Knight and Sheik, PKMN trainer is pretty fun to play as, and I'm even more of a killing machine with Jigglypuff. ALL HAIL JIGGLY.

In more relevant news that you're more likely to give a crap about, I'm almost done with this one picture ad then I'll make a new comic. It would be done sooner but I can't use my cousin's scanner. And although it won't hinder me from making pictures, I am still very pissed at my cousin's cat for sleeping on my keyboard, getting cat hair in it, and knocking off my Q key! Damn cat...

Also BRAWL.

PS If anyone knows how to reattach a Q key, that'd be great.

Another reason is that I've gotten Kirby 64 and the Crystal Shards for the VC, and Pheonix Wright: Trials and Tribulations. I've already gotten 100% on K64 and beaten the final boss.

Anyway, I'll also be working on another picture for an art contest, and then I'll go back to SoD since I've decided to follow it through. I changed the plot a little to make it shorter, and I'm going to skip through the Dedede arc I was originally going to do. And also I removed one of the bosses because he sucked.

Also, as for the Poppy-Deidara pick, I'm quite pleased with it. I'm also glad at how often it shows up in search. When you search for "Poppy Jr." it is the first thing that comes up, in both Newest AND Popular! Sweet. It comes up on the first page if you search for "Poppy" and it comes up on the fifth page for "Deidara". (When you search "Poppy Jr." a whole slew of my comics come up on the first page too.)


I would comment on Brawl coming out on Sunday except I don't have much to say. Ho hum.

My brother rented in on Netflix, and it is extremely sad. Granted, I don't watch a lot of sad movies, but still. It's really sad.

Well, I've been drawing some random stuff. It's all crap, but I might post it anyway. I think I'll start up SoD again, but I'll be using the line tool. It's faster to draw with, it's easier to work with, and I think it looks a little better.

Also, the final boss of Boktai 1 on hard mode is HARD. The first part is timed, and the second part is just plain hard. I hate bosses who can suck your blood to gain HP.

SoD is pretty much on hiatus right now. I've had a lot of homework recently and finals are coming up, so I really have no time at all. Not to mention I'm totally unmotivated to make the comics since I actually hate my own comic series. Which is really sad.

Even if I do have time to draw, I won't be drawing the comic. I'll mostly be drawing non-comic pictures to try and draw better, and maybe some short non-SoD comics on the side. In fact, I may stop making that comic altogether just because it sucks so much.

So, don't expect any SoD comics for a while. I might have some pictures or non-SoD comics occasionally, but that's it.

Well, I saw the Sweeney Todd movie today. It's like Pirates of the Caribbean mixed with Death Note and Harry Potter, but bloodier. Awesomeness.

I also beat Super Mario Galaxy. WORST. ENDING. EVER. Seriously, it's not even worth bothering. If someone could explain exactly what the hell happened there, that'd be great.

And when I can, I like to play Boktai 1. I already beat it, but when you beat the game you unlock Hard Mode. You keep all your gun equipment and stuff, but there's three times as many undead and they're much harder to kill.
Also, getting 100% in that game is freaking impossible. For example, to unlock the dark gun you have to beat the game 2-3 times, at least one time on Hard mode.
To get the infinite battery, you have to have at least one other copy of Boktai, and beat the first three bosses MULTIPLE TIMES. Each time you get to this one point after the first two bosses, you have to trade something with your first game. Which means you'll need two GBAs as well. You also have to have beaten the game once and healed the Solar Tree.
Once you've done that, you have to climb up this hellish tower full of multiple rooms filled with undead monsters, MULTIPLE TIMES. Once you climb all 100 floors, you have to fight some gigantic horrible boss.

And there's much more secrets to get than just those two.

Anyway, sorry for not having anything up since that Grim Reaper picture. In the middle of drawing it, my crappy tablet broke down again. I COULD draw it with the mouse like I used to, but I haven't really gotten around to it.

Also, Dilbert is the best board game ever. It's pretty complicated, but it's extremely fun.

Okay, random facts:
1. Before making comics, I've tried to make games and flash movies, but I wasn't patient enough. I only make comics 'cause I'm no good at anything else.
2. I had a couple series of comics before The Sea of Dreamland, all of which sucked.
3. I'm easily addicted to stuff. Especially anime. In fact, chances are, when I say I've been "really busy lately" it just means I'm watching anime.
4. A lot of my real-life friends are really perverted and weird, and I'm glad they don't go on the same forums I go to.
5. I've been trying to learn Japanese for a while now, but due to my inability to remember complete languages, I fail at that too.
6. I played Neopets a LOOOOOOONG time ago (back when it didn't sell merchandise) but quit when I realized it was wasting my time. Since then I played several free MMORPG-like games (particularly Runescape and Deadawaken) but I never played them long enough to get good. A few months ago I decided to quit MMORPGs altogether, after getting extremely pissed off at 'Scions of Fate's huge amount of annoying bugs, and the self-imposed job of making this comic here.
7. I eat fruit A LOT, but I'm still really picky about fruit. I generally won't eat fruit I haven't tried before.
8. For some reason, I love most animals that have shells, like snails and turtles. I don't know why.

This year went pretty well. My costume was, as usual, a hit. I got compliments from most of the houses I hit. I even got my picture taken twice.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go with my usual parade of friends. I had the option to go trick-or-treating back at my old neighborhood for old times' sake (and also because I know it like the back of my hand, and am less likely to get lost), but my only friend that lived there was trick-or-treating at one of his friend's neighborhood. So it was just me and my brother.

My costume was a table. It was a cardboard rectangle with a blue tablecloth, each part with a hole cut in it for my head. Then, there was a shiny silver platter with a hole cut in it for my neck and was cut halfway through, which was later attached to my neck. It was somewhat uncomfortable. Then, there was a cup, silverware, and a napkin glued to it.

My brother, however, was a bed sheet ghost. Also, because he had a black see-through cloth over his face, he was mostly blind. He bumped into a tree, a lamppost, two people, and nearly ran into a fire hydrant. It was hilarious. He was kinda bummed out that he wasn't getting as much compliments on his costume as I was.

Anyway, it was pretty fun. Good people, nice walk, fresh air (God I miss fresh air).

I really wish I got school off today or tomorrow. I mean, you could see all the trick-or-treaters leaving around 8:30 because of that! Come on!

Anyway, I'll take/draw some pictures of my costume later.

In other news, I finished Death Note and started watching Ouran High School Host Club. SOOOO funny!

Well, so far my comic-a-day routine goes smoothly! Well, this one only took a few hours so it was kind of lazy. Maybe I can get some of that homework done that was supposed to be done over the weekend.

Also, DEDEDE IS IN BRAWL! Woohoo! Too bad I still can't draw him right! Boohoo...
Django and Sabata should be in brawl. Don't know who they are? Django is the main character in Boktai 1 and 2 (And 3, but that was only in Japan). Sabata is his awesome evil twin brother. I even made a move set for both of them. They should be in brawl. Seriously.

Speaking of Boktai, I've almost beaten Boktai 2. I'm at the final boss! SO HARD!!

Anyway, I decided to use my old style of making the comics panel by panel, instead of doing lineart first and THEN coloring it. They turn out much more detailed. Right now, I'm experimenting with shading and drawing without big black outlines. Too bad I use Flash MX instead of Photoshop, which has that nifty shading tool.

Anyone know how to start a poll on this thing? I need your guys' opinion on something, and it'd be cool if I made one of those nifty little polls.

Also, SONIC IN BRAWL YES!!! I'm actually not very excited about it, but sonic MIGHT replace Jigglypuff. Hopefully not. I kill with Jigglypuff. I just wish they'd remove that useless sing move. The enemy falls asleep and wakes up before I even finish singing! Useless. Rest is serious assortments of awesome, if you do it right.

And have any of you heard about Kirby Super Star DS? AWESOME. I haven't actually owned Kirby Super Star (Played it at a friend's house, who has now moved. Shame, he had the best garage sales) so this is a big plus. 3D cutscenes, even!

It's not broken, like the old one. It is, however, EXTREMELY sensitive. It will click in all the wrong places. I have to have my hand constantly on control+Z just to control it's awesome might. However, it DID fix my program by accident. The frames toolbar on Flash MX I got stuck on the right instead of the top a while ago, and I havn't been able to fix it.
Anyway, expect a comic sometime this week or next week (homwork's keeping me busy). I'm sorry for not making a comic in so long, the broken tablet was aggravating. But that's not the enitre excuse, I've also been extremely lazy. Anime, Forums, Video Games, and parties have all been pitching in to prevent me from making a comic. And, more recently, school work.

In other news, the new season of Avatar finally came out! Yay, I'm excited, high five whee! I saw the first episode (as well as several spoiling trailers) and the season looks like it's going to be awesome.

I've also been watching Zombie Loan (best anime ever!). If you go on many of the forums that's been keeping me lazy, you'll probably have noticed that I've changed my avatar to Chibi Zarame the Grim Reaper, from episodes 10 to something, like, 12. The whole story behind it is he got his power stolen by someone, and was forced to turn into a little chibi doll. Michuru, unfortunatly for all involved, thinks he's just the most adorable thing ever. Zarame also talks in angry squeaks, which only Michuru and the Kiosk girl can understand.
"'Don't touch me, I'll tear your windpipe open'? 'I have no intention of helping you, go home'? But you're so small!!"
He even has a little scythe.
The picture is too big for DA, though, and making it smaller would make him hard to see. So, I'll just stick with the boiling shine pic.

And, of course, SSBB is coming out of december 3rd (well, for me anyway, it's different depending on where you live) so that looks like it's going to be awesome. First, I'll probably try out my usual characters (Kirby, Jigglypuff, Zelda. DONT JUDGE ME.) and see how much they've changed, and then maybe try out the newbies that seem like I'll be using (Pokemon trainer, Meta Knight, and maybe Diddy) and then I might try out everyone else. Except pikachu.

Pokemon battle revolution is cool, too. sure, you have to have diamond/pearl to make it any good, but the wifi is much easier to use! I can get the oran berries kicked out of me by people all around the world. Y'know, for some reason, I thought it was bad sportsmanship to use legendaries in competitve battling.
But, nontheless, it's still cool to USE the legendaries once I collect their friend pass. Sweet!

Anyway, so what I did for today? I played Kirby's Adventure, and got 100% on Extra mode. I started today, too. Unfortunatly, my Wii and my laptop were in use of other people for a lot of the day, so I wasn't able to watch a lot of Hoshi no Kaabii. I also watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail for no reason. And I had a party over. And that's the gist of it (I played a LOT of Kirby's Adventure. Oh, and I had school.

But the day's not over yet, so I'm going to go watch more Hoshi no Kaabii.
