I had a wonderful time, thank you Chris if you some how read this for inviting me and I can guarantee you I will do it again next year if you want me to!

I met a lot of really nice people over the weekend and was generally pleased with how things went. Not that everyone wasn't great but special thanks goes to Lysa Zen Andrews who ran the Artist Panel with me. You are awesome and your work is great! Her website doesn't seem to be up right now or I have the address wrong... but expect a link in the near future.

I also want to thank pirateswoop who attended the panel and who is an amazing artist her self, go look! She is worth attention.

For those who got my card at the convention who may be looking here~ I will definitely be at AWA this year, though I am in the process of seeing what other events I can make.

Also I got a lot of positive feedback about my catgirls in the 25th century. A lot of people were surprised when I said these were just illustrations of a concept and not a comic, cartoon, or movie. Working on these files is slow going sometimes. I am working at 600dpi so that I can have the option to print really big for the convention (I have 12" X 15" prints already made up of the first 4 images) This would be going faster, but my computers have been slowly going under and my really nice laptop decided to drink juice a few months back and it is being glitchy... so I try not to do anything I would be sad losing on it these days. So here I am with a6-8 year old computer working on multiple layer 600dpi 8.5" X 11" images haha XD It isn't too bad til I have to save really... then the computer works on that for like 5-6 minutes o.o

Anyway I also uploaded a new modified version of image 4 (Arlene VS Rock Golem) On a side note this one originally had the monster looking all goofy with a huge red heart eye cause it was charmed by Arlene's amazing good looks. If humans can do it to giant apes I am sure Little Green women can do it to giant aliens ^^ Either way it seemed just too goofy so I toned it down, but if you look carefully you can still see his eye is heart shamed <3

With any luck I will have some button designs for the next few days and possible a few more drawings ^^

Friday of course I posted up a few things, Saturday I got the groundwork done for the 4th in my 25th century catgirls series. Then I got ready for and ran a module of my Sci-Fi RPG Psionic Storm. It was fun and I think my players enjoyed it so that was a fun good day even if I was up til 4am or so.

Sunday was a very very very special day. It marked one year since I got up the courage to tell a very special person how I felt about them. So I spent Sunday with her and had a more then wonderful time which actually carried over into the next day as it was a holiday.

Monday I spent the morning happily and then went to a barbecue/party which took most of the rest of the day. Yay rockband! yay burgers! yay stuff! I did manage to get home around 10:30ish but the local kitty was so upset that we left her forever or like half the day... but for her it was forever... so I played with the kitty for the next hour or so. And as people began to come home and I got more distracted I found I had very little done.

Today I worked a bit on the projects, but I spent a chunk of the day out job hunting/going to a job fair. Then two friends came over and we watched Venture Bros.! I worked for the entire night after that til about 20 min ago, and I am maybe 75% done with the pic, I will finish it up tomorrow as I need to be more awake I think to get it right ^^

I have managed to get invited to the Sci-Fi Summer Con here in Marietta that is happening in about a month! I am really excited, me and Keska are going to spend a few hours each day at a table selling and signing and they may have me speak or some such as well, I am not entirely sure @_@ But special for this event I will have prints and merchandise for my 3 new original characters Pamela, Brenda, and Arlene the Catgirls in the 25th century! I have have the first drawings done, and will have many more done and ready by time the convention comes around. If anyone has any comments or suggestions now is the time to let me know~

A lot of things happened, including but most definately not limited to, Gaming on saturday, Whitewater on sunday, and Six Flags on monday.

The game was short but fun, Thanks for running Shellneko~, And I am looking forward to where we are going next. (Hiro... a leader... what? @_@)

Whitewater was amazing. I <3 <3 <3 water parks and we did a lot and had a great time. <3 the lazy river~ and since we have season passes I am already trying to get a little time to go again next week~ Things I liked a lot besides the lazy river was the scary but amasing tornado thing, and almost every tube slide where my butt didn't hit the floor =x

Six flags was a mixed good and bad. It was fun mind you, even if I don't like a lot of roller coasters, I played DDR and my shoes lost ther soul to the machine... they gave their lives for the dance... um... but besides destroying my boots which helped the resultign pain I feel in my feet right now.. besides that I had a blast. I loved the giant river splash thing. And the monster plantation had some wierd monster designs that were cool. I want to make sure I have swimsuit and towel next time so I can play in the giant water playground skull mountain XD

Anyway even if this wasn't the best weekend ever, I can't remember being this happy but hurting all over like I do right now (not used to so much physical activity)

First off let me say I do not like shooting games, or the shooter genre... so when metroid prime 1 came out I was very sceptical.... however I bought it anyway and was pleasently suprised. The autotargetting was good, I felt like I was exploring and playing a metroid game in that one... things were differn't but you got abilities/items that got you access to new parts of the map and it felt like a metroid game.

Anyway... back to corruption... first off what did they do to her ship? She has only had one ship ever that was bottom loading and that was a loaner in fusion.

Since when are bounty hunters galactic army super heros. So the mistook samus for iron man and decided that other super powered heros would join her on an adventure to save the galaxy. What happened to Bounty hunter after money and revenge? have we gotten so far away from that?

Speaking of which... for an independent bounty hunter the galctic army just happens to have the right to alter your suit while you are wearing it while you are unconcous and then send you off on a mission without any sort of break or serous apology. I mean what the hell is up with that, part of your terms to get paid is they can alter your one of a kind chozo battle suit? damn.

And Space Pirates are looking less and less like space pirates every game... where are the claws?

Anyway all that aside the the game could have been a good game even if it wasn't a good metroid game except... what the hell is up with the controls... ok why bother having an autotarget button if you still have to aim... why couldn't you press the button and then shoot and be done with it...

It seems counter intuitive to have to hold your wii remote still in the center of the screen while auto target makes sure that the enemey stays in the center... I mean am I the only one who thinks that is dumb?

So in the end I think the game is trash, it isn't a metroid game and the controls are relatively lame... every itteration of prime goes further from it's orgins in the worst possible ways. They need to just remake Super Metroid on the DS and quit with this prime crap cause they are serously doing a bad job... at least name it somethign else so I don't have to be tempted to try and play it.

The Metroid spin off, Pirate hunters or something I don't know...

Ok~ so I have been kinda avoiding DA for a while because all of a sudden my browsers couldn't see/use the gallery properly and instead of trying to fix it I wandered off and did other things. I don't update that regularly anyway so this was just a sort of an excuse to ignore it for a while. However I was asked to update and here you go some of the things that I have been working on.

Still writing and drawing, gaming and working, etc. My pet project recently has to do with Ibrianna and Bethora, who you will see as one of my updates~ I have been doing my best to do something involving one or the other every day so that I get comfortable with their character designs~ why? cause I am going to do a comic! I have some comics already drawnish... but I am not yet happy with how they are coming out and so I am still working on it, so you can have illustration for now.

And in my other more geeky news~ 75 Dancer in FFXI rawr! <3 <3 <3 dancer.

Also~ Yesterday I saw Iron Man so don't be surprised to see something about my Armor suit character pulse popping up in the next week or so. Was a very good movie and I enjoyed it a lot.

Haven't put anything new here in a while but here we go. I just moved to Atlanta~ after spending a bit of time awayish form DA I have come b ack to many hundreds of messages and favs and things... so if I don't answer everybody, or don't reply to everyone... sorry! But I will say THANKYOU~ here so if you didn't get a thanks from me yet... you may still cause I still have a few left I am sorting through.

Updated gallery with two more finished pieces and I have a punch of scraps almost ready for upload, now if I could just point DA to a directory and say "GO!" for the scraps it would be nice.

I just got the internet back two days ago... and to my suprise and joy... they are adding Dancer to FFXI! <3 <3 been wanting this one for a while. I need to start playing again after taking a break for the move, but I am looking foward to the next expansion. I was talking to some people over at the local game stop and they were saying this was going to be the last expansion... now... I disagree... SE said they would keep creating content as long as people played... and all though 500,000 people isn't as much as WoWs 5million... I still think that 5-7 million dollars a month is enough from us is enough for them to keep supporting us. And really the changes they are making to the game are nice. And I bet their free try the game and purchasing content id thigns online will help when people see how far the game has come from it's original release. But at the end of the day competing with WoW is never going to be easy.

Currently job hunting, applied at a few places one of which I really wnat the job for, but we will see how that goes. There is a MicroCenter here and they need people for their videogame department, fingers crossed. Going to put in for a few more local places at the end of this week and if I don't hear anything by next week start poking parttime positions and go further out with my search. But right now if I can get something close, I would perfer it.

My commission for "Stirling Hunt Groundskeepers" was cut short cause my friend's partern kinda jumped ship on him or so I have heard, but I will be paid for what I did so far, but I am sad I never finished the project for him.

I think thats about it for now, going to be doing more artwork if I can with some freeish time.

A lot of people have no idea what the puppetmaster job is about and don't want to go looking through guides and such just to figure it out, so this is an easy simple guide to what puppetmaster is and how it works.
Mainly the questions that I see coming up often.

Keep in mind this does require some knowledge of Final Fantasy Online =X




What role does puppetmaster play in partys?

Usually DD, with either mage puppet or ranged puppet they can produce very high damage over time. Although they don't produce high numbers per hit or WS like other DD, because they are actually 2 people meleeing, weapon skilling, and either casting or using ranged attacks the damage adds up very fast.




What are the differn't frames?

Each frame (or type of automation) has a head and a body that can be mixed and matched for
various results.



The Harlequin frame is the starter frame, it has enfeebling magic, cure spells, and can melee.



The Stormwaker frame is the magic frame, it has enfeebling magic, curespells, nukes, but does not melee well.



The Sharpshot frame is the ranged attack frame, has a crossbow and can melee as well as a harlequin frame



The Valoredge frame is the melee attack frame, it has very high hp, shield bash, and can melee the best of all the frames.



Combinations



The Harlewaker harlequin head + stormwaker body makes a light melee that with the right parts will enfeeble and heal it'self and the puppetmaster. It will stop enfeebling after creature hits 50% health



The Valorshot valoredge head + sharpshot body makes a medium melee that will also use ranged attacks. The puppets acc and att do not seem to be effected by distance so this combinatoin is the strongest combination for damage on most creatures because the ranged weapon skill Daze does very high damage and the additional melee to the already strong Ranged attacks builds tp quickly.






What are parts?

Parts are like a puppetmasters spells. Each frame has space for 12 parts however not all frames can use all parts or all combinations of parts. Each frame also has an elemental allowence that shows how many parts of a certain element it can handle.

Example Valoredge has the most fire and earth slots, parts that have
fire and earth elements are mainly def and attack parts.
Stormwaker has the most dark and ice slots, parts that have dark and
ice elements are mainly magic attack and mp




What are manuvers?

The animator is a ranged slot item that allows the puppetmaster to use manuvers. Manuvers do a few things for the automation. The manuver will raise the stat which is associated with it, so fire manuver adds str to the automation. If you have AF gloves equiped, the bonus from this is 2 per manuver instead of 1. The manuver will aso activate all parts of that element that require activation example: fire manuver would activate provoke. Manuvers also increase the bonus granted by a part so if scope gives +5 ranged acc one wind manuver would grant +10, two wind manuvers would grant +15 and three manuvers would grant +20. A puppetmaster can only have 3 manuvers up at a time or they will overwrite the oldest simialer to a bards songs.




What is overload?

Each part puts stress on the automation and so when ever a puppetmaster uses a manuver that stress builds up. Over time it cools down but if a puppetmaster is keeping two-three of the same manuver up the puppet will overload. This status prevents the master from using manuvers until the status is gone, I have noticed at least when soling an overload effects hate as well.

And started cutting masks with tracing paper. I found the hardest part was cutting the masks... I know now not to use tracing paper next time... since it seems to wnat to curl when cut, I may print the line work out lightly on normal paper and cut my stencils from that, either way, my end result is here:

I only had to touch up a few areas where the stencil didn't really workout. But for a first attempt I am extremely happy.

I am currently finishing up the dragon picture for a contest entry, I should be putting the base colors down tonight and deciding if the airbrush will enhance or hinder my efforts, then finishing it some time tomorrow.

I have a commission for a friend in FFXI, which will be started if not finished this weekend. His beardy elvaan will stand out in my gallery I bet >.> not many beardy men in my gallery right now.

Honestly... I can't be the only one who though WoW was blizzards last (non MMO) game... they abandoned so many things, and after Starcraft ghost disapeared I lost hope. But now! I can't wait >.>

I have about 3 drawings that I would like to color and finish soon, but I am debating if I want to try and use illustrator again or if I want to marker color them as usual.

Been writting on and off for my games that I am running for friends. So many ideas and not enough scrap pieces of paper around when I need them.

I also, thanks to my friends in england, picked up LOTRO and have been poking around with that for the last 2 weeks. It is a fun game but I dont' think I will be playing it for the long run. FFXI still has my soul =X

In a slightly random note, I just finished watching my Zelda DVDs XD ohhh the memmories, "Excuse me princess" like 5 times an episode, his only motivation is getting a kiss... and of course... the scary "do the mario" super mario supershow openning and ending themes ^^

Well with luck I will scan my scraps to post this weekend, and maybe finish one of the ones I have been meaning to color.

I have written a sort of short story for one of my rpgs. That took up a great deal of my time, but seeing that it would kind of meaning less and the fact that the characters aren't just mine, I will not be posting it here. But it is the first time I have seriously written written in a while, and so I think I am going to do a few more shortish stories before finally writting my Empericism story that a good portion of my artwork is based off of. I have the ground work, but I never felt ready to actually write it out. This is a big step in that direction.

I did see 2nd season of lost, Night at the Museum, Super Ex-Girlfriend, and started watching Those Who Hunt Elves again. I did go to Salvage on thursday which was amazing! Running around naked beating things up XD haha. I managed to get my Chivalrous Chain last night while at Lansharks(internet cafe) celebrating the new year with some friends ^^

Ok, for this new year... I resolve to do more drawing >.< Seriously though, I do have a lot of sketches that are just not finished, and I have a request that was only recently given to me that I will be working on very soon. I was up real late last night and up early cause of my stomach >.< so I may end up napping when I get home tonight, but I am schedualed 4 half days this week at work. So at least 2 of those are going to be spent drawing. Still need to make a final version of my demoness in black, have the request, I would like to finish one of the sketches I have started. Thats my plan this week... lets see if I can do any of it XD

Gaming~ Elite Beat Agents is amazing, I am up to the 3rd difficulty level now and working my way through. Beat the new ds kirby, beat FMA DS, and got to play some Elibits for the wii ^^

Now that christmas is over, back to work @_@ got two half days today and tomorrow which will be nice. I am hoping to spend a little time in FFXI and a lot of time drawing. I want to get a nice background on my Demoness in Black, and then move on to some new stuff that I have the line art for already. The reason I am not going to spend a lot of time in game is really because I am going to be ingame wednsday and thursday. I have Dynamis Beaudicine wednsday and then I am doing Salvage with my social linkshell CODE on thursday. I am looking foward to the Salvage ^.^

One of the projects I will be working on soon is a Dark Knight skin for my DS Lite, what I am hoping to do, is make it so that the normal purple areas of the armor can be exactoed out of the print and will show the pink of the ds for those areas. I want to make it a black and pink only pic ture I think. Still need to experiment, but it could come out good ^^

Art update~ I posted a bunch of my scraps and works in progress in my scraps section if anyone is interested. Muse now has a background, and that plus the old one are both up as prints! I also uploaded HQ scans of some of my older works for prints too. I want to make a background for my demoness in black, but then I am only going to be working on new things after that point. If anyone who knows a bit about prints here, do you know if you can sell prints of fan art? I mean I would love to sell some FFXI race/job portraits but I some how think that is against a rule I haven't read yet or missed. There is a fanart section of the printshop, so I don't know.

Other news. Finished watching the first season of lost on DVD with my GF, and we just started watching the old old old Dungeons and Dragons cartoon show. That one even came with a little guide book with the stats and such to play the characters in 3.5 ^.^

I am all set for my trip to England in April and am really really excited. Time off from work + seeing 2/3 of my best friends + visiting a new part of england I have never been to = yay!

Thats about it for today, need to go service the hundreds apon thousands of people who have to shop the week before christmass ;-;

So... I run a scifi rpg every weekend or so and we got into a conversation about black holes. Of all the Science Fictions things, the idea of a black hole engine is the least plausable I have ever heard of. Most SciFi is to an extent believable. They take some real science and fill in the gaps making it plausable to the reader/viewer... but Event Horrizon was a bunch of crap >.> Think about it they "created" a black hole, how? they collapse a star inside their ship? yeah I am sure that happened... or no, they created matter so dense that light couldn't escape inside their little spinning magnet... nope again BS.... My main point was... matter can only be packed so densely. And although a Black Hole can be infinately big in theory... I think it's minimum size has to be around the size of a planet to have that much gravity to pull everything in including light. So.... NO you can't fit a black hole in a room, and even if you did, it would grow bigger then the room very very quickly because magnetic fields do not under any stretch of the imagination stop air or light... so the gravity well would grow and destroy the holding mechanism.

In other news... I got a subscription to DA yesterday and will be slowly but surely putting up stuff as prints ^.^ Also recently I added some more art. One of which was the first collaboration of many with Millicent Cripps. I plan to color and ink more of her stuff once the month is out. I will be linking to her art gallery and such as soon as she is done making it.

In FFXI news, I haven't been playing much in the recent weeks because I got sick, and christmass stuff, and drawings, BUT planning to get back into it soon. My Secound chocobo had above average str and average endurance, though she has probably run away from neglect by now >.> I got my samurai sub up to 37 for my drk and relised the sub is great for anything, Seigan and Hasso are really nice especialy in dynamis. And I am still only one piece away from a full set of AFb, maybe one day I will get those gloves.

I am also working on another Kitty the same way I did the first, but she is taking longer to complete I am not so sure of the proportions... they are right... but look odd cause of the angle and the clothes... also she doens't have my characteristic asymetry in her clothes... so I need to fix that and try to not just make the proportions right, but also look right.
