As I’ve said before, there are very few things in life that are certain and the ones that are, are certainly happening now. However, if something should be uncertain but the product of the action is valued enough, it can be a good thing to put forth our effort and battle for an uncertainty.

In this journal, I wish to address some of the current issues associated with wolves and wolf hunting as well as what you can do to show your support.

As I’m sure many of you are already aware, on September 8th 2009 the preliminary injunction to stop the hunting of wolves due to them being illegally removed from the endangered species list was declined. This means that wolf hunting this year was approved, through ruling by Montana Chief Judge Donald Molloy.

A preliminary injunction is entered by a court prior to a determination of the merits of a legal case, in order to restrain a party from going forward with a course of conduct until the case has been decided. If the case is decided against the party that has demanded removal of the injunction, then the injunction will usually be made permanent. If the case is decided in favor of that party, then the injunction will usually be dissolved or dismissed.

In most courts in the United States, the party seeking the preliminary injunction must demonstrate the following four things:
1. That there is a substantial likelihood of success on the merits of the case
2. That they face a substantial threat of irreparable damage or injury if the injunction is not granted
3. That the balance of harms weighs in favor of the party seeking the preliminary injunction
4. That the grant of an injunction would serve the public interest.

To sum it up (if your not going to read the article), the injunction was declined because Judge Malloy, disagreed that the hunts this year would damage the wolf population in those regions as a whole. Unfortunately, that may be the case when only a small handful of all the wolves in those regions are breeding pairs (75 is a common quota). Should the breeding pairs be killed, the packs left behind may very well go into turmoil where inbreeding and cross-breeding occur. In short, the genetic makeup of the wolf may be permanently scarred by human superstition.

Rodger Schlickeisen, President of Defenders of Wildlife, said "While we are disappointed that the court did not issue an injunction, we are encouraged that the court seems to agree with us that the Obama Department of the Interior's delisting of the wolf was illegal and appears, as we have repeatedly said, to have reflected a political, rather than a science-based decision."

Ah yes, politics and politicians…lovely people, don’t you think? *cough* I am NOT a member of PETA or ALF by any means because I do not agree with their methods. If you are to throw red paint on a woman’s fur coat, I’d hope some would get in her mouth, but this is not helping anything. She would have it replaced and more lives would be lost due to someone’s ignorance. Legal action is required to get anything ultimately resolved. I AM a supporter of Defenders of Wildlife, Earth Justice, and other conservation groups because of their cause as well as lawful actions taken. DoW knows that the best way to fight the system is within the system.

Down to the point, we need widespread action in the region you are living in now. There isn’t anything we can do about the preliminary injunction being declined, it’s done and passed, but what we can do is address our US Senators, representatives, mayor and council members, and other US legislative bodies. Contact with these people in any form must remain diplomatic, informative, and punctual. Seen some freakin EPIC concerts recently. Back in April ~a-morgan, ~Saraneth-42, ~PsychoCasualty, myself, and a couple other people saw Dommin, I Am Ghost, and The Birthday Massacre. BEST. CONCERT. EVAAAR. It was just jnbnffdekfnitejbva GAH you had to be there. All the bands were amazing, if you dunnoz them I demand you go check them out. Anyone who does know them, we got pictures with I Am Ghooost Fun tiems. About a week after that ~a-morgan and I went and saw Nightwish in Hartford, which was awesome epicness too. They were SO good live, even playing their older songs. I haz videos of both concerts on mah youtubez too. [link] Annnd on July 28th ~a-morgan and I are gonna go see Green Day at Madison Square Garden. ...that was kinda my reaction. I've been dying to see them for like... 5 years now and I can still hardly believe that we're actually going. We get to take the train there and stay overnight terrorizing NYC for a couple days too. INSANELY EXCITED.
I am done gloating.
I've had tons of art classes lately too, and finished another pastel still life today. Claudia's got insane amounts of stuff planned for us to do this summer, a class on oil painting for 2 solid weeks, portrait drawing x.X , painting outside, etc etc... and at the end of the summer we're gonna have an art show. 8D So my schedule is packed.
And yeah... that's it... I'm a senior now. Junior year kinda sucked overall, classes weren't that great, waaaay too much drama, waaaay too many stupid people who deserve a kick in the face. Art class was epic though. ~xXWhiteAcropolisXx, Sam, and I battled... tarpz. Creepy, creepy tarpz... I shall miss those epic times. And one more year til I'm outta here and not stalked by creepy poser goth freshmen.

Still, I'm not really comfortable with the idea of two guys I don't even know spending the entire day in my room cleaning, not to mention being in my house for the rest of the week. Heheh, they prolly won't be too comfortable in my room either, especially if they try to clean my closet. I mean, I'd be kind of afraid of a closet full of ancient Pokemon plushies, Beanie Babies, blood drive signs, Narnia, Shinigami, bodies, ~Saraneth-42, ~BluesDriveMonster14, ~a-morgan, ~BluesDriveMonster14's cocaine, ~ZeeHorse's fursuit, and various gaming systems from the late 90's.

So we all went to sleep a little while ago and I was just dozing off when suddenly, THE SMOKE ALARM GOES OFF. So I'm laying there like, "Ehh... whut did they do now, I wanna go to sleep..." when ~a-morgan runs into my room screaming, "LAUREN!! THERE'S A FIRE DOWNSTAIRS!!!" We go running back downstairs to see that the mantle and the frame of the huge mirror above it is ALL ON FIRE, just feet away from where ~a-morgan had been sleeping. Then ~Saraneth-42 and ~BluesDriveMonster14 come running down and we're all standing there like "O.O WHAT DO WE DO...!?" until my dad came running in with the fire extinguisher and put it out. By then the house was full of really bad smelling smoke, and needless to say, we're all wide awake now.
...I guess the cops figured out our hiding place.
I swear I'm not making any of this crap up. This is too ridiculous to make up.

LULZ. This all just happened and we were all, "OH MY GOD DA JOURNAL RIGHT NOW."
K. So me, , , and are having a sleepover. Around midnight we decided that we were bored and wanted to go for walkiez, and go spy on my neighbors, who were having a huge (and loud) party. We were out walking for a half hour-ish, during which whenever a car came we'd charge into the woods on the side of the road and pretend to be rocks, run though people's yards in circles to make confusing footprints, and leave trails of snow all over the street. ~BluesDriveMonster14 and ~Saraneth-42 ended up making snow angels in some random yard, then ~BluesDriveMonster14 wrote "LOVE YOU" in huge letters next to their driveway, and ~a-morgan wrote "I LOVE KING KONG." We all drew hearts too. Eventually we got back to the top of the street around the time that people started leaving my neighbor's house, so we kept having to action roll/slide behind bushes and down hills to avoid being seen. As we were about to walk back to my house, a car came out of nowhere and we all scattered in different directions. ~Saraneth-42 ended up doing an action slide into a pricker bush and cut up her hand, so she wiped her hand through the snow to see if she was bleeding (which she was). At that point we just bolted back to my house, despite all the drunk people outside in my neighbor's yard. We went back in through the basement door and not even 5 minutes after we got inside, a cop car pulled up to my neighbor's house. Seeing this, we all went upstairs to the guest room, cuz we could see my neighbor's yard perfectly from there. Pretty much the cops just yelled at them, told them to respect them or something, and left. However, when they got to the top of the street where all out action rolling/sliding had taken place, they stopped and shined their headlights where all our footprints (and ~Saraneth-42's blood) were. Then they started shining strobelights up and down the street, and just stayed up there like that for 10 minutes or so.
BUT WE OUTSMARTED THEM. >D Just sitting up at the window cackling like hyenas at the fact that they couldn't catch us.
...we're just hoping they don't find ~Saraneth-42's blood spatters and do a DNA analysis.
WE'RE GONNA END UP ON CSI!

Lately I've been thinking about it, and realized it just keeps getting more and more ridiculous. But more importantly, I've figured out that Stephanie Meyer seems to have a sick vegetarian fetish that keeps frightening me more and more.
In my opinion, Twilight was one of the best books I've ever read, New Moon was probably worse than every school-assigned book I've ever had to read COMBINED, Eclipse was 54545348475x more frustrating than my babysitting job, and now I'm halfway through Breaking Dawn (no, I still haven't finished it. -prepares to be shot-) and I'm ready to kick Bella in the face (though I think the stomach would be a bit more appropriate). Anyways, I was reading it last night and this was just ridiculous enough that it deserved a DA journal.
First, Stephanie Meyer gives us VEGETARIAN vampires that go sparkle sparkle and all have an identity crisis so bad that they feel they have to go out and violently murder innocent grizzly bears and cougars instead of just marching over to nearby Seattle and plucking a few gang members off the streets every couple days. Then they feel better about themselves by killing cute furry animals and not people who make life worse for everybody else? Obviously they have NO sense of justice... and then, right when you think it can't get any worse, oh, it gets worse.
I'm at the part where Jacob gives Seth and Leah the mental images of Bella drinking blood and Leah is all "OHMEHGAWD BLOOD EW GROSS THAT IS LIEK SO DISGUSTING I'M GONNA THROW UP OHMEHGAWD." So, in addition to vegan vamps, we have WOLVES THAT ARE GROSSED OUT BY THE THOUGHT OF BLOOD. UM, HELLO? WHAT DOES STEPHANIE MEYER THINK WOLVES EAT? SALADS AND TOFU BURGERS?! I DON'T THINK SO!
...See, this is all hinting towards the next sequel that nobody knows about yet, in which Stephanie Meyer will reveal ANOTHER mythical creature living in Washington. It's a species of moose... MADE OF TOFU. And THAT'S what the werewolves really eat
Oh, by the way, Edward's cougars are made of tofu too. And their blood that he drinks, it's really soy milk.

So the art class last week was AMAZING. I learned SO much about working with pastels that it'd be a total waste to not use them at all after this, so sometime in the near future there'll be pastel works in mah gallery. :3 Once I get my hands on my own set, that is.
So for the first three days we worked on that still life I uploaded, on the 4th day we worked on landscape drawing, and on the last day we did portraits. Eh, portraits aren't my thing. xD It was still tons of fun though. The two people I worked with were really nice and super talented, and also surprisingly tolerant of my weird taste in music, which they put up with for 4 days . One of them got a DA too . Besides art stoof and onto things most people probably couldn't care less about... on Saturday ~a-morgan and ~Saraneth-42 came over for suppah, during we got this amazing quote: Panda: "Can you open this lobster for me?" Kittie: "USE A DOORKNOB." After eet got dahrk we went for walkies and the entire time my neighbor's cat Domino followed us. When we got through the woods we were wandering around on/sitting in the middle of the streets for a little while, then out of nowhere this guy started following us and pointing his flashlight at us and SINGING to us. It was kinda scary... and we saw a fox while we were out too.
Monday night there was a concert at the town hall, which was lulzy, a fight broke out... and as usual there were many bands that sounded like they had very severe cases of throat cancer and nothing they said sounded like anything in the English language. Heheh, there was this one band, My Hero Is Me, and the drummer looked EXACTLY like Mello from Death Note.

I pretty much have the rest of the summer planned out (manhunt party? camping trip? ), and basically all my free time is going towards summer reading. I have to read these two huge books with pages thinner than tissue paper and the font is prolly about 0.00001 pt. X.X It sucks. That's also why I haven't been on much lately either, and my inbox is exploding now (didn't help that a certain someone decided to spam my userpage... ).
Starting tomorrow I'm taking an art class that lasts all week, and goes from 9AM-5PM everyday. So hopefully I'll have some decent art to put up by next weekend, but other than that, no art for a while. D:
At least I'm done with babysitting.

So we caught it and put it in a box, caught some bugs for it, gave it water, etc. We called the local wildlife rehab person to ask what to do but got no answer... anyways by the next morning the turkey was almost dead D: Its body temperature had dropped overnight. So I took it out in the sun and warmed it up, and it really seemed to be making a comeback but suddenly it just died.

On a lighter note... Saturday , , and I went swimming at a lake and GOT ATTACKED BY FUGU FISH. We were hanging out in the shallow water watching them swim around us when one of them decided "I peench." and bit me in the leg. At first the others thought I was crazy cuz no one else was getting bitten but finally they started gnawing on ~Saraneth-42. Then like 20 minutes after they started eating us, ~a-morgan FINALLY got bitten and instead of yelping like teh Kittie and I, she was all "YAAAAY I FINALLY GOT BITTEN BY A FUGU FISH!" Then no matter how much we screamed "SWIM AWAY FUGU FISH, SWIM AWAAAY" they wouldn't leave us alone. D:
Oh, another incident that happened with us three that we decided was DA worthy... Panda Panik and I were sleeping over Kittie's house and while I wasn't around they went and disappeared... so I came back into the TV room and just sat there waiting when suddenly I heard this loud banging from either the walls, the ceiling, or outside and screams of "NAAARNIA!?! NAAARNIA??" and then the closet door went flying open and Kittie and Panda came falling out, "...we were looking for Narnia."
And rather amusingly, I've been babysitting Two 4 year old twins. They're nice and all but oh my god, after 7 hours of them I feel like I've just taken my geometry final exam over again. Though thankfully Kittie and Panda are gonna help me out once a week.

Last Friday was Spirit Night, where we stay all night at school and they have movies, games, karaoke, bad food, etc. There was the most epic game of volleyball I had ever seen (had to be there) and an eternal game of dodgeball (started around 11 PM and didn't end til after 3 AM).
Monday afternoon Lindsay and I went to ~corpehhh's house and walked to Joel/Ethel Peter's and hung out there for a while, then went back to Court's and watched Sweeney Todd.
Tuesday afternoon Court and I went to ~a-morgan's house, and walked to Glenwood Market (best store ever. xD), then to Ethel Peter's and met up with ~Saraneth-42 and ~PsychoCasualty, hung out with them there for a while, then went to the Secret Park. Epic times there like usual... Rachel managed to fall off a seesaw, and Amanda almost did too. Then we went back to Ethel Peter's and were wandering around in Joel (elementary school) for a while, the janitors kept giving us dirty looks, xD. After all that we went back to Amanda's for dinner and watched the Mist.
Thursday, I got my hair recolored. Basically the hairdresser got rid of all the icky blonde from the bleached hair and put it back to my normal color, then put in new red streaks. Also, I figured out how to hook my ancient SNES up to my TV and I've been addicted to playing Donkey Kong since. Love that game. Thursday night, Amanda, Court, and I went to Mariana's for a movie night, which was... interesting, to say the least. I'm not gonna get into that though, what happens in Mariana's basement stays there. xD
And Friday, I had my 16th birthday party (my actual birthday is on the 22nd though). We went to Hammonasset and terrorized people there for a while, then came back to my house for an epic game of manhunt which involved vicious thorny plants, the popo, and a pack of coyotes... however this game sadly ended when Court tripped over her own foot, fell, and gashed her knee open. Courtney, you are my hero. We also spent a while prank calling our poor friends and begging for help because we had been attacked by a wild Mudkip, or trying to find Benny, cuz no one knows his real number.
Only in the Twilight Zone.

And one final, serious question for everybody: If I were to open commissions over the summer, would anybody be interested? And please, don't just say yes cuz you like my work or something, say yes if you would definitely want a commission. I'm not sure of prices yet, prolly between $15-40ish (depending on size, number of characters, background or not, etc)... but like I said, I'm not sure.
So... just let me know what you think.

These newer photos look almost exactly like the drawings do in real life. So, if anyone cares to look at them, they all look a LOT better than they did before, especially Red Ice, Fantasy Nightmare, Bloody Battle, and Feeling Blue. I also organized my entire gallery... it's much neater now.
I GOT CONTACTS!!!! They're actually working out really well. Funny thing, on the way home from getting them we had to stop at the Feed and Grain store to get pellets for Bunnay and as I was getting out of the car my glasses fell into the parking lot but I didn't notice. I guess I wanted to get rid of them that badly. Anywho I didn't realize they were gone until we got home and we had to drive back, somehow they were still in one piece.
I switched my classes before vacation started, they were absolutely horrible and I haaaated them. Though now I'm really looking forward to my new ones. Biology with ~a-morgan and ~Saraneth-42 = massive health hazard for everyone else in there. Especially seeing how Rachel cooks macaroni and cheese, I'm a little scared of being in there when she mixes chemicals. She tried to stir a nearly overflowing boiling pot of macaroni and cheese with the cardboard box it came in, chewed on the box, threw it out, then realized she needed the directions on the back. I still have a stomachache from eating that stuff. xDDD
It actually snowed today. Like, 6 inches. I think the last time it snowed was in December... Anywho ~Xweetok47 came over and we went for a 2 1/2 hour hike, during which she fell in the worst smelling pond out there and we both slipped, tripped, and fell many times. Neither of us could feel our feet by the time we got home. xD
Oh, Kaylee also asked me to tell people about this, so I'm copying it out of one of her journals:

That coupled with that "Follow the Moon" picture (my parents wanted me to make a Christmas card, so I used that and had to have it done by a deadline I didn't meet), I've been up 'til 10:30 or later every night with almost no free time, and stressed out of my miiiiind. Though I have to admit, Mariana, Amanda, and I had a great time building Pompeii, especially driving to Jo Ann Fabrics in a blizzard and getting paper mache and acrylics all over the basement. And of course we managed to break Mt. Vesuvius when we presented it today. xD
So, I'm not ignoring anyone, I just haven't had time to be online. So don't kill me cuz I haven't replied to your comments for over 3 weeks.
Anywhooo, stuff from mah life!
On Tuesday we had a class trip to go see "Beowulf." Which was pretty amusing, minus the awful popcorn they gave us and the fact that a ton of the guys there weren't mature enough to handle some of the scenes and made a big deal out of it. -.- Oh, I also got hit in the head with a box of 3D glasses.
Also Tuesday came to my house and since the town was covered in a sheet of ice, we were sliding down the hill in my front yard on our stomachs. WE WAZ PENGUINZ. We also had quite an amusing time walking from the library to Dunkin Donuts, cuz the town didn't clear any ice off the sidewalks. Though sadly most of the ice has melted now. D:
This past weekend my parents had a Christmas party, though most of the people who came were my friends. Some interesting things that happened... We were all in the basement and decided to take Bunnay out, of course she managed to get away and it took 4 of us to catch her (poor Omayra nearly killed herself in the process). We made some amusing phone calls too, and I think we scarred some poor children for life. Sara also recieved a phonecall from who had been "stalking" her online a few days before, Sara was a bit creeped out by that. Later we were in my room, 's little brother opened the door, which then slammed into causing a huge rack of stuffed animals that had been hanging on the door to collapse all over him. Kelsey and I also decided to dig out my old Pokemon Stadium game, she absolutely destroyed me as usual. D: I got owned. And, some other rather disturbing things happened, but what happens in Lauren's room stays in Lauren's room.
Oh, and for those of you reading this who were at the party... no, I still haven't desanitized my bed, and I can't find the money you guys were doing sketchy things with. D< And clean up yer freakin' food next time, there were still plates of lasagna in the basement when I went down there yesterday.
Annnd... oh em gee, Christmas is in 5 days. I'm hoping for an iPod Touch and maaaybe a digital camera. What did YOU guys want?

An Associated Press investigation reveals why: possibly thousands of unwanted animals have been tossed off bridges, buried alive and otherwise inhumanely disposed of by taxpayer-financed animal control programs."

"News that live animals had been thrown to their deaths from a bridge reached the public last month when Animal Control Solutions, a government contractor, was accused of inhumanely killing some 80 dogs and cats seized from three housing projects in the town of Barceloneta. A half dozen survived the fall of at least 50 feet."

"A $22.5 million lawsuit against Animal Control Solutions and city officials - including those who helped round up the animals - was filed on behalf of 16 Barceloneta families whose dogs or cats were seized under rules prohibiting pets at the city projects. The animals' deaths show "a cold and depraved heart and has stirred public outrage around the whole world," the lawsuit says."

"Maria Kortright, a lawyer involved in the suit, said it's clear the pets Animal Control Solutions removed from Barceloneta were the same ones hurled off the bridge because the survivors have been identified by their owners.
"Last Tuesday, I saw one of the survivors back at its home," Kortright said."

"Animal welfare activists have complained to government agencies for years about allegations of improper disposal of animals, but say officials didn't act. Preventive action also is almost nonexistent: Puerto Rico has at least 100,000 stray dogs and cats - and no island-wide spaying or neutering programs. "

"A former Animal Control Solutions employee told the AP that he witnessed another worker in 2005 dragging 12 to 15 small dogs out of a van along a road outside San Juan. Normally, workers injected animals with a euthanasia drug but on this day there was none. The animals were instead given an overdose of a sedative and flung 50 feet into a trash-filled gully. Some of the dogs were alive as they crashed on top of junked beds, bottles and other garbage .

"I could hear some of the dogs whimpering as they hit the tree branches and then the ground," the former employee said as he stood with AP journalists in the muck at the site, which still holds the stench of death.

Not all the dogs died, however. A dog that was not a stray, but a sickly pet whose owner wanted it euthanized, managed to limp home. The angry owner telephoned the company and demanded it retrieve the dog and do the job right, the former employee recalled."

"One dog, stuffed in a sack, was found recently at the Cayey site among other bagged carcasses. It apparently survived the fall and managed to poke its head out of the bag before dying, said Carmen Cintron, who runs an animal shelter."

"Any available employee at that moment would use the drug that was available and they were thrown half dead into a hole, and that's why there were some live dogs among them," he said. "What he (Diaz) had us do was to throw dirt on top of the live dogs along with the dead ones, so they all would die."

Puerto Rico seems to have a problem with stray animals. All these dogs and cats running around that no one wants, and are probably covered in ticks, fleas, and diseases. So throwing them off bridges, burning them, and burying them alive seems to be the way this problem is solved.

"~PsychoCasualty, ~Xxrhombo17xX, ~a-morgan, and some other losers and I all were able to go to the Bronx Zoo. It was an interesting experience. More than likely pictures will be up soon. Sadly, we got stuck in traffic both on the way there and on the way back. I'd say it took roughly 3 1/2 hours to get home. >.>

Heheh, that was a fun trip. We went into this place called the World of Darkness, which everyone declared was my home. Also we were allowed to take pictures in there and Rachel thought she had the flash on her camera off but she didn't, and ended up blinding some poor cat. Also me and Courtney were standing there watching a snow leopard and suddenly it just flipped out and lunged at us. I got a really awesome pic of it right after it landed too.

There was a person called the Bearded Lady who we believe used to be a man but then turned into a woman. Oh, and Miss Lauren is actually racist...she just hasn't realised it yet. Oh, and we made lots of new friends...most of them dogs, but one was this guy who claimed to be named Travis. (I think Lauren scared him.. but don't tell her)."

Yea, thanks to the bus ride home being so obnoxiously long, I had all of a half hour to try to charge my iPod, pack, and stuff my face with ice cream before we left.
In addition to the Bearded Lady (OMG. S/he had 5 of those gage things in one earlobe. It was quite amazing.) we saw this guy wearing a long flowy black skirt, and this person named Ellie, who you'd never guess he was a guy. We went into a bunch of interesting stores too. Heh, at the army/navy store Rachel bought 2 German WWII helmets, and there was this massive pile of stuffed animals that I had way too much fun digging through. I had THE most amazing frozen Chai there, it really completed my life. We also went frolicking around in the sand dunes, and found the Hole of Despair. Ha, prolly the funniest part of this trip was when we met Travis, and yes, he was afraid of me. Prolly cuz I wasn't talking to him at all cuz I was viciously devouring gelato, xD. Then when he left Rachel was all "Omg, a gay guy was hitting on me! YES!" And there were dogs everywhereeeee. I found Hige and Kiba too, but they were all stuffed and emo. xD
No, I am NOT racist. Really. But I found out that prolonged exposure to Squee can temporarily make you into a self loathing racist, xD. I can't even begin to count how many times we said "I cross de border. I clean for you" while we were there.

Also while we were in Ptown one of the doves that hatched a few weeks ago died, but of course they just had to hatch another one so now there's 12 again. I think.

I completely cleaned out Drazile's (bearded dragon) cage last weekend, something that's needed to be done for way too long. Anywho, got rid of the white sand and now it's all orange and stuffs.

Annie seems to be getting worse, the cooler weather makes her more energetic but also makes her arthritis worse. The tumor under her elbow is nearly, if not already the size of a football, but the vet siad she doesn't know if she could get that one off because it's attached to muscle. She has another tumor growing in the same spot under her other foreleg, and the one on her hip is getting bigger fairly quick too, though it's not affecting her walking yet. And last night I found another tumor on her foreleg, up near her shoulder.

School has been taking up waaaay too much of my time lately. I have a couple pictures that I've been wanting to color forever, an idea for a new character, and the picture I'm working on now, and once I'm done with those (prolly early December or something. ) I want to try out drawing owls, cougars, bears, snow leopards, and tigers.

And people need an update on my highly interesting daily life...

Ok. Yesterday I managed to fall down AND up the stairs. I was running down the stairs in the morning, slipped on the last one, and fell. Then later that afternoon I was running up the stairs outside, my foot missed and went under a stair, I slammed my shin into said stair, and fell over. So I walked inside laughing hysterically, my mom was flipping out all "OH MY GOD ARE YOU OK!?!?! ARE YOU IN PAIN!?!?" and my dad was like "Wow... that was pretty... amazing..." Then when I rolled up my pants there was already a bruise and quite literally a dent in my leg. It made my day, and gave my mom a heart attack. Oh, and the reason I was such a klutz is cuz it was 's birthday. So if I die, blame her.
Tomorrow, me, , and are going to the Big E. For those who don't know, the Big E is this absolutely ginormous fair in Massachusetts that goes on for 3 weeks. It has buildings representing each New England state, tons and tons of food, rides, every farm animal imaginable, horse shows, etc. I'm rather excited for this, I haven't been in at least 7 years. Then on Sunday me and other people (not sure exactly who's going yet) are going to the Durham Fair.
Last Friday me, , , , and were gonna go to the Guilford fair, but it was lame and decided not to have the rides working so we decided to wander around Guilford for a little while. Then my mom picked us up, dropped us off at Friendly's, and we ate there. They gave us free balloons, however by the time we got to CVS we had managed to pop all of them, so me and decided to inhale all the helium. Gotta love that stuff. After that we walked to the playground, on the way there I kept seeing all these signs saying "BLOOD DRIVE ---->" and I wanted to steal one (it would've looked nice on mah door...) but never got around to it. We hung out at the playground for a while, then we noticed this weird guy on the other side of the fence who just stood there watching us the entire time we were there. Prolly cuz I glow in the dark. We walked to 's house, went to Blockbuster, got a movie called "28 Days Later," and watched it, though I slept through nearly the whole thing.
Bunnay has escaped/bitten people many times in the past few weeks, cuz she's just amazing like that...
My parents want to get rid of most of the doves because they're noisy, messy, and have never heard of birth control. They managed to hatch 2 more babies a few days ago, but my parents don't know yet and you didn't hear that from me. 3. Most of the time it annoys me to death when people pity me. xD
4. I've NEVER eaten a taco in my entire pitiful deprived life, and I only saw the Nightmare Before Christmas for the first time 2 weeks ago.
5. I still have ALL my stuff from when I was little, cuz I hoard things and never throw stuff out/give it away. Those who have been in my closet have seen this. xD If at least 5 people ask me to I'll post a picture of it in my scraps.
6 My room is like, the exact opposite of my personality... light yellow paint with a cloud wallpaper and a border with jungle birds on it. Though most of that is covered in Green Day posters.
7. I hate pizza and soda. The only time I'll EVER eat pizza is at 's house with chocolate milk, and there IS a reason for that.
8. Whenever my friends and I are walking anywhere and we pass some sort of street sign, I have to pound on it as hard as I can or else my life just won't be complete.
K, I'm gonna be evil and just tag . Everyone else can do it if they want.
Another question. Whenever I'm on DA (and this only happens on DA) I sometimes get a message saying something like "Your computer leaves tracks of all the websites you've visited, which can be viewed by others. Install DriveCleaner to get rid of these tracks." Then no matter what button you push it takes you directly to this DriveCleaner thing and tells you someone has all your login passwords, knows all the websites you've gone to, etc. Once it acted like it was checking all my files and was all "WARNING:CRITICAL" on everything. Is this happening to anyone else? Cuz it's starting to get on my nerves.

She started ranting about how she had organized them all by color and now they were all broken, then I think someone asked her why she had crayons and she took out a bunch of Lisa Frank/Disney coloring books. Then as she was putting them back in the box she was laughing hysterically, bothering the new girl in front of her, and yelling out random colors. Yeeep, had to be there.
After that strange incident the sophomores and fresh-meats had to go to the gym so Mr. Barney could lecture us. Me, Omayra, Kaylee, Mariana, and Amanda ended up sitting together so I didn't hear a word of his lecture until the end when he said "When you walk out this door, you're making a choice" to which I said "Yea, I am... which freshman should I eat first?" which Amanda found quite funny. My first class was World History, which I have with Amanda and Mariana, besides us pretty much the entire class of 29 people are annoying stuck-ups so that should be rather interesting. After that me and Courtney had Spanish, there are only like, 10 people in that class and once again they're all stuck-ups besides me and Corpaaay. Then I had geometry, I'm not really friends with anyone in there... then art, with SHANNON! AND HER BLUE HAIR-NESS! xD, nothing beats art class last year though. With our "higher educational facilities." xDDD
After art was gym, bleh, there are at least 30 people in that class, none of which I'm friends with. But actually I think the kid who said the "higher educational facilities" quote is in my gym class. o.O After gym was lunch... Then English, Laura's in there but she's really the only person I know. I already have a feeling that I am NOT going to like that class... we got this assignment where we have to describe what we think a hero is, so I have to make up some goody-two-shoes thing cuz I don't think writing about Vlad the Impaler or the puppet guy from Saw would be a good idea. And last period was science, another huge class but Mariana's there so it should be interesting, watching her try to work with chemicals. xD

The people who came were , , , , , , Sara, Lindsay, and Omayra. Some random stuffs... we had a campfire-ish thing out in the backyard where we tried to roast marshmallows and hot dogs, the hot dogs were kinda... messed up, to say the least? We were all standing out in my driveway and Sara was at the end of the driveway with my plastic sword, a car drove by and she kinda pointed it at them and it ended up being my neighbor. Then we heard these weird voices calling us who we thought were and , they were all "Laurennnn, we know you're in 10th graaade..." They sounded like younger kids (10 y/o?) but my neighbors' kids are 4 or 5 at the most, I barely ever see them and they're really shy and never talk to me, and I highly doubt they'd be out in their driveway at midnight so who knows who that was (I have my suspicions though...). Around 2 AM we went for a walk around my neighborhood, whenever a car went by we'd like, dive into the bushes next to the street. Then on the way back there were things walking around in the woods so everyone decided to "buddy system," of course I was the only one who didn't have a buddy. Around 11 AM most of us were still sleeping, when suddenly the Star Wars theme is echoing throughout the house and I think that more than woke everyone up, xDDD. It was my mom's idea, she does that to me all the time. I wish they played the part from Charlie the Unicorn when they were all "wake aahhhhp" though, that would've just been better. At breakfast we were getting attacked by bees who wanted to steal our food, was absolutely flipping out... then Sara just reached over and took my milk and drank it, which I watched her do but I was rather out of it so I didn't notice, then when she put the cup back down I was like "You did NOT just do that!" After everyone except Sara left we watched the Nightmare Before Christmas, which was my first time seeing it (I know, I'm deprived.), it was a REALLY good movie. The whole party was quite amusing, though the manhunt game was only like, 2 minutes long. Which really sucked.

Ben managed to fall off his perch, rip all the flight feathers off his left wing, and gash his toe/foot, which later swelled up to at least 3x its normal size. So we took him to the vet, they put a splint on him, gave us meds to give him, etc. His wing has healed up nicely, but when we took him back to the vet and they took the splint off his toe was all dry and shriveled up and corpsehh... so they decided to amputate it, which took about 15 minutes. Ben's basically back to his old self now, just missing a toe.

My grandma's 71st birthday was this weekend, the party was alright, food was awesome, xD. My cousin and aunt slept and my room so I slept in the basement, everyone pitied me like it was worse than the garage or something. In my opinion it's the best place in the house to sleep, always 10 degrees cooler than the rest of the house, surrounded by glow-in-the-dark chalk graffiti, and a guard Bunnay. I could even sneak out if I wanted to. xD

Well, the trip was fun, much more than I thought it would be. Surprisingly I didn't get sunburned, just a bit on my shoulder but that was it.
We left on the 27th and the flights were 14 hours total, and we stopped in Chicago and Las Vegas too. Stayed at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel on Waikiki Beach on Oahu. Then Saturday, Sunday, and Monday were spent hanging out at the hotel, shopping, swimming, etc. Also on Sunday we went to this absolutely amazing restaurant called Senor Frog's. They gave everyone who went there these obnoxious balloon hats (I'll upload a picture eventually), and they had a live band, karaoke, everyone was jumping up on tables and chairs and the stage and screaming and dancing and being obnoxious and stuff. We ate outside though so it was a lot quieter, though the drunk conga line came outside and went by us, xD. On Tuesday we went swimming with dolphins, which was absoulutely AMAZING, though the best part was how jealous was, xD. Wednesday, my dad went to go play golf (OMG, THE STOP SIGNS AT THE GOLF COURSE WERE BLUE. IT WAS FREAKING AWESOME. ) at Turtle Bay Resort so my mom and I just wandered around the North Shore and went shopping and stuffs. The shopping center we were at was covered in wild chickens and cats, it was pretty amusing. Thursday, we went to Kualoa Ranch (where they filmed Jurassic Park, Lost, Godzilla, and some other shows/movies I can't remember) and went on a trail ride, which was tons of fun. The horse I rode was this huge dark bay draft horse-ish ponay named Cowboy. He was so great, I wish we could've galloped but the fastest we ever went was a trot. Hahaha, and my dad's horse attacked another horse. Anywho, that was one of my favorite things we did, I haven't ridden for months and I never realized how much I missed it. After that we went on a bus tour around the ranch and they took us to where movies were filmed and stuffs. And Friday was the last day, we just hung out at the hotel and stuffs. The flight was at 9PM, got to Vegas at 5AM, stayed there for 4 hours, got to Baltimore... sometime in the afternoon, then when the people who were going to Hartford were boarding there was this one guy who I swear looked like he was gonna blow up the plane. His eyes were bulging, face twitching, baring his teeth, I think he was drooling too. xD, I was quite scared when he walked by my seat and looked at me. Then we got to Hartford at 6:30 PM, and my parents and grandparents decided we were gonna go out to eat, though I wanted nothing more than to just go home, make Ramen, and like, pass out. xD, but I got steak at the restaurant so that was good enough. And that was pretty much my trip! My favorite part? The food. By far. I had some kind of raw fish almost every day we were there.
Now I have to go through like, the most deviations and comments I've ever seen in my life... Dx and my mom decided she wanted to screw around with the camera software so she uninstalled it and now she can't install it again, so I can't put any pictures I took on the computer. But once we get that fixed I'll be sure to spam all your devwatch boxes with tons of pictures from Hawaii. And a bit of artwork I did there.

Well, I convinced one of my friends (who wanted to remain unknown. You'll know who she is once you get to her DA though) to get a DA. The poor child can't draw for crap but she writes REALLY good stories, such as Saving America. It's about how America gets invaded and a group of people (based on real people from our school and stuff, the only difference is that the last names have been changed) fight back. That's a really vague summary and it's MUCH better than how I told it, seriously it's one of the best stories I've ever read. The first chapter has been posted too. Anywho my friend here needs some fans, at the moment I'm the only one who knows she even has a DA so do her a favor and add her to your friends, read her stories, leave her sketchy comments, just make her feel like she's special and loved. Cuz if she feels like no one likes her she'll go all emo on us and might just leave DA forever.

Tuesday, I went to Courtney's house. Of course she wanted to spend the whole time on MySpace but I got her to make a DA, We were playing with her German Shepherd Coda, I was sitting on the floor and Coda decided to smother me with affection and knocked me over. xD, gotta love Coda. Later we drove to Old Saybrook to take Coda for a walk near the beach, we found these 3 swans and named them Charlie, Robert, and the Liopluridon. Wednesday, I went shopping... woohooo... I hate shopping. xD I honestly don't remember Thursday... Friday, me, Amanda, and Sarg slept over Kelsey's and went to see Disturbia. Which was actually pretty good. Some random stuff from that... I guess pretty much everyone seeing the movie were teens cuz everyone was still talking when the movie started so a cop yelled at everyone, I said (not that loudly, just enough for some people around me to hear) "Who are you, George Bush?" xD There was a preview for Transformers and at the end me, Amanda, and Sarg yelled "TRANSFORMERS! ROBOTS IN DISGUISE!" After the movie we were standing outside and Sarg was on the phone (as usual...) so me and Amanda started skipping in circles around her and screaming "WE'RE GOING TO CANDY MOUNTAIN!" hehe, Sarg got so mad. We got back to Kelsey's house and were hanging out in her room. I got bored and decided to put my hair all over my face, tie a pillowcase around my head/eyes, use Kelsey's Mardi Gras beads as a "crown," and that was my emo ninja outfit! Sarg spent nearly the entire night in Kelsey's closet on the phone with Pat. And they say I have no life? xD Anyways Amanda tied the pillowcase around her head and walked on her hands and knees into the closet and said to Sarg "Shh! I'm spying, you can't see me!" and just sat there. And, that's all I really feel like typing... xD Later on Saturday Kels came to my house and we decided to pretend to be 10 year olds (or younger). xD Of course Kels wanted to play Pokemon Stadium, she even went in my closet, dug out a bunch of my old Pokemon stuffed animals, and was all "LOOK. I HAVE THEM ALL TO CHEER ME ON!" she pwned me of course, then I made her play Super Smash Brothers just so I could beat her at something. Then Kels wanted to play a board game, I was like O.O "NO." The last time she was over me, her, my mom, and my dad played Scrabble, she beat us all by over 100 points. However she decided she wanted to play Pokemon Master Trainer, I was just like x.x "Fine..." yea, she beat me at that too. Though we both cheated a bit. After dinner Kels went in the attic and found Don't Spill the Beans, then made me go find the Lion King 2 and we watched it... on the TV in the living room where my dad had wanted to watch the baseball game. He wasn't too thrilled. xD So we were watching LK2 and playing Don't Spill the Beans, mhm, surprisingly enough my mom won (Kels made my mom play with us. xD). Haha, I don't I've watched that since before I moved (which was 7 years ago), Kels however knew a bunch of the songs and was singing them. But you know what sucks? (here comes a mini-rant. xD) That has got to be one of the most violent movies I've ever seen and there wasn't ANY blood. I mean, there were scenes where Simba had to have at least 10 lions attacking him and he just... collapsed. NOT EVEN A SCRATCH. THOSE LIONS AREN'T DECLAWED EITHER. It's just not right. Ugh.

One more thing... for those of you who don't know, my friends and I have something called the Classic Book, in which we write down random stuff that was funny, stupid, just "classic." I've gotten into the habit of typing them instead of writing, so here's the one about the Evanescence concert. It's pretty amusing... and I uploaded some videos of the concert but the URLs wouldn't work when I put them in here, just go to Youtube and type in "evanescence hartford" in Search and Tourniquet and Sweet Sacrifice are mine. Soooo, yea... enjoy? xD

Anyways... We went on a field trip to the New Haven Courthouse today, scary stuff in there. They let us go in the cell block and all the guys in there started sticking their hands through the bars and whistling and waving and calling us over, the girls were crying their eyes out and just glared at us. Poor children. It smelled like a dog kennel too. That was the most interesting thing there, when the bus came we all just ran across the street when we weren't supposed to and cars started beeping at us and stuff. We stopped at McDonald's on the way home, it smelled like fries so I was all "HOLY FREEDOM FRIES!!" and Shannon said McDonald's smelled of freedom. Well, NO. They're communist. Why? Cuz they put onions on my cheeseburger even though I said only ketchup. And you know those sticker things they put on the wrapper that tell you what you ordered? Mine said "Only onions, Only ketchup, No onions." Major violation of my rights. Uhhuh. Also... I was walking down the street today and I noticed that a very sick, sick, PERVERTED person had drawn graffiti all over the new stop sign (the old one was broken, a few weeks ago it disappeared and about 5 minutes later somehow materialized in my backyard under the deck. Of course I had absolutely nothing to do with such a thing). So anyway I heard a car behind me but didn't think much of it, when I got to my driveway I looked over my shoulder and saw that a cop car had been following me, but stopped at one of the speed limit signs (which was also covered in graffiti) and was talking with some lady. Hopefully I didn't look too suspicious walking slowly backwards down my driveway with the mail in my hand... I wanted to see if he was gonna follow me more, shut up. Oh well, they'll never know what happened to the old stop sign. I DON'T KNOW EITHER. Gah, I'm gonna end up in that smelly cell block with all those perverted criminals. Seriously I dunno what happened to the new sign, cuz what they wrote/drew is just gross, if it had been my graffiti it'd be a unicorn and I would've written "SHUN" over "STOP".
