How to join
---
Send a note to the club (not me) or comment on the main page asking to join and wait for a reply. When the reply comes saying you’re in you can put the icon in your journal if you like but this isn’t necessary (although it is appreciated). If you do put it into your journal then write it like this : icon : except without the gaps. And then you’ll be an official member :D If you don’t receive a reply to your note within a week then feel free to send another.
One final note is I will not add people who just add the club to their watch list without noting the club asking to join. Sorry if this seems harsh but I’ve had a lot of trouble with people just adding the club to their watch list in the other clubs in the past.

Rules
---
1. You must like at least one of the YGO yuri couples even if it involves one of your characters dating an official character. I’m not asking you to like every couple, because not even I can manage that, but try to be open minded about most of them :)
2. This club supports yuri, shojo-ai, girl/girl relationships as well as being open-minded towards yaoi and het relationships, so if you don’t like shojo-ai it may be better to just leave.
3. Not hentai (Romance is fine of course but there is a line people).
4. Don’t flame anyone for liking a couple you don’t.
5. Couple bashing in general is frowned upon here.
6. You don’t have to submit art or stories but it would be nice if you did.
7. And most importantly, have fun :D

You get three chances, break the rules once and you get a star next to your name, break them twice and you get two stars, three times and you get three stars, and then finally you get removed from the club. But this all depends on how badly you break them of course.

Send a note to the club containing your YGO shojo-ai art/fanfics and it’ll be put in a separate journal entry along with your name. Even if there isn’t a category for that couple send your art in anyway because you can guarantee I’ll make one for you. Or if you can’t be bothered to go hunting through your gallery yourself then send a note to the club saying you’d like me to go searching in your gallery for couple art instead (I do love looking for couple art in galleries :D ). But I know people are iffy about this so submitting the art yourself is fine. Again ALL YGO shojo-ai couples are welcome, not exception!

This contest is exactly what the title says – draw a yuri pairing of your choice where either one of both of the characters are wearing kimonos. For those of you who don’t know a kinomo is a traditional outfit worn by women in Japan, and in a YGO New Year’s Special some of the girls were shown wearing them. You can feel free to either use the kimonos from that special if you draw those girls or design your own. =3

They are the second Shoujo-Ai pairing that I got into. First was Anzu x Mai. They became instant friends because of Shizuka's relationship with Jounuchi. I'm not a big fan of opposites attract and their personalities are very simular. They are both very kind and supportive of those they care for. During Battle City, Anzu x Shizuka spent the majority of the time on the sidelines cheering on there friends. Neither are duelists so they offered encouragement and support to their friends. Their relationship is quite touchy feely with them two hugging or holding hands. In their filler episode Shizuka surprises Anzu by grabbing her from behind. Shizuka looks up to Anzu and their very sweet friendship has the potentital to turn into something more if they let it. I think Anzu could help Shizuka be a little more confident, and Shizuka would support her desire to become a dancer.

I like to pair Mai with Rouge the Bat from Sonic X and the SegaSonic games. Anyone who likes both YGO and Sonic can probably tell you that Rouge and Mai are very similar to each other, both are material girls who were introduced to the series as bad guys but slowly started to be considered good guys who can work both alongside and against the heroes (And on a sidenote they both fall for the lovable goofballs in their series ^^ ). But there is one difference that I think would make them work out well in a relationship: their confidence levels. Rouge is completely confident, while Mai only acts confident. Given she’s very good at acting confident, and in some ways she is very confident, but in others you can tell she falls down in this area. An example being her slight depression brought on by Yami Marik’s words, causing her to think she didn’t truly have friends and was only living in their shadows (I.e. Doma). Luckily she was rescued from this depression but after that we don’t see much of her, so the chances are she could still lack confidence in this area. Rouge has enough confidence for almost anyone, and I think her similarity to Mai could help Mai follow her example more then someone who has a different personality to her. This was the first YGO shojo-ai couple I got into. :) They just seem to work well together. Mai instantly took to Serenity when she met her and found out she was Joey’s sister, and in return Serenity took to Mai as well, even saying she wanted to be more like Mai herself (Much to Joey’s horror XP ) referring to how confident Mai was. The two stayed quite close throughout the series, we see Serenity cuddle Mai at one point and when Mai was unconscious it was Serenity who stayed with her the whole time and seemed to be just as worried about her as her brother was. Okay, so Serenity and Miho have hardly any interaction at all, but you’ve got to admit dashshipping does compliment chaseshipping if you’re into that couple. ^^ Dash and Chase, even the words go well together. So yeah, this was the first couple involving Miho I began to like, mainly because they were both girls that Tristan had a huge crush on at some point so it’d be amusing to see how the poor boy would react to them getting together. And then there’s Joey’s reaction too! He reacts badly enough to another guy hitting on Serenity but a girl who used to be one of his good friends? He’d freak. :D So this is a couple I like mainly for its cuteness factor and that I think they’d benefit each other. Serenity does seem to come out of her shell around other female characters (Mai and Tea for example) so I’m sure Miho would be no exception to this. Originally I dismissed this one as just being a fan service but when I was watching Duelist Kingdom again I noticed the kind of interaction between these two would make it a fun couple. Sure, it is a fan service, but as well as that we have an intense rivalry, but that’s the thing, their rivalry doesn’t seem to be over anything. They’re rivals with nothing to fight about. Which I think is cute since because they have no reason to fight it seems to make them want to have a reason to fight even more. :D It seems that Tea dislikes Mai because she’s arrogant and in the manga Yugi, Joey and Tristan instantly fell in love with her (While Yami and Ryou seemed uninterested *Shrugs* ), whereas Mai dislikes Tea because she finds her too clingy and peppy, but after Duelist Kingdom their relationship improved greatly. At the start of Battle City Mai literally ran over and grabbed Tea in a tight hug, which was when a lot of people started thinking they could be a couple. ;) Then Tea started to show she cared about Mai too, on the Battle Ship she was very mad at Joey when he hurt Mai’s feel and said she thought Mai just wanted to be accepted as one of their friends. Then in the Mai vs Yami Marik duel Tea was the first person that was removed from Mai’s memory, and when she was fading away we heard Mai say “No, not Tea,” like she didn’t want to forget her and considered Tea to be an important friend. I’ll be honest and say although I’ve read the manga centred around the first series I’ve not seen the anime (Though I’d really like to), so I don’t know very much about Miho. But from what I do know I like her quite a bit and consider Miho/Tea to be the first YGO shojo-ai couple as much as Sally/Bunnie was the first Sonic shojo-ai couple. Later on in the dub series Tea says that she would like to have more female friends quite a bit and since Miho was her female friend in the first series maybe Tea’s expressing that she misses Miho. ;P Plus, for the reason that they are both girls their friendship in the first series was really close and even if Tea might have thought Miho acted a little ditzy from time to time any annoyance she might have shown towards Miho was affectionate and only occasionally. When you join the club you start with no hearts, you earn these hearts by doing things for the club. Depending on what you do depends on how many hearts you get:

For 1 heart – Vote on the contests
For 2 hearts – Submit a paragraph to a supportive section.
For 3 hearts – Submit a picture or story
For 6 hearts - Enter a contest.
For 10 hearts - Win a contest.

So what can we do with these hearts? I hear you cry. Well you can use them to get certain things, such as:

30 hearts – Gives you a (Female) YGO character plushie of your choice, all plushies will be displayed on this page.
60 hearts – Gives you a plushie of another character to couple up with the first plushie (E.g. If you picked a Shizuka plushie with your 30 hearts you could choose an Anzu or Mai plushie to go with it). Basically every time you get 30 hearts you get a new plushie.
50 hearts – You get to choose a YGO shojo-ai couple to be promoted by the club for a month.
100 hearts – You get a request off the admin of a YGO shojo-ai couple.
150 hearts – You get a request off the admin of anything you like.
200 hearts – You become part of the Honourable Members gallery.
250 hearts – You get to choose a YGO shojo-ai couple which you shall be king/queen of forever more within this club (For example you could choose to become the queen of Anzu/Miho or Vivian/Mai).
After you get 250 points you begin the gift cycle over again, but still get more hearts eg. After your second cycle you’ll have 500 points.

Q. What is yuri and shojo-ai?
A. Shojo-ai is Japanese for ‘girl love’ and is a general name for the romantic relationship between two girls in a fictional series (Generally anime or manga). Yuri is more hardcore, focus around sex, which isn’t generally allowed on DA. But since yuri is the word generally used by most for girl love and is shorter it gets used in the club’s name.

Q. Why make a club about YGO yuri?
A. There are already about three clubs dedicated to YGO yaoi but no one had started one for yuri, so I thought it’d be a good idea. Although the yuri fans in YGO are few hopefully this club will help to bring them together. ^^

Q. Are all girl/girl YGO couples allowed?
A. Yep, any you can think of.

Q. Are girls from YGO R and YGO GX allowed?
A. Yes they are. I just didn’t list them because I don’t know much about those series. ^^;

Q. Are you allowed to pair an official girl with a female fan character?
A. Yes, that’s fine.

Q. Are you allowed to pair a YGO girl with a girl from another series?
A. Yeah, crossover couples are welcome. ^^

Q. Are shippings that involve two girls with one or more boys allowed?
A. I thought for a while over this but unfortunately I’ll have to say no. The reason being that most yaoi communities don’t allow relationships that have two boys with one or more girls so I think we’ll keep the club to all girls. Even though members should try to be open minded to male characters and relationships involving them. :)

Q. How do I send in pictures/fanfics?
A. I get this a lot from people new to the Internet, but if you want to send in a picture/fanfic follow these instructions:
1. Click on the link to the picture/fanfic you want to send in
2. Highlight the address in the white bar by right clicking on it
3. Then select “Copy” from the list that comes up
4. Go to the club’s account and select “Send Note”
5. Right click in the box where you type your note and choose “Paste”
6. If you’re successful the link to your picture/fanfic will be put into the box. You can then type whatever message you want with it and send the note to the club.
