...Mostly because that means that it's the middle of the Winter break from college and I can finally relax. I have to redo my Calc III project because I can't graph the current equations that I'm using for it, so, that involves more Jacobians, Lambdas and more Algebra. Grah, just when I thought I had it almost done, too!! >_<; And in about two weeks, finals are taking place... and I have a final in every single class.

Luckily, at least, in the Spring semester, I'll have some more relaxing classes, since only one of them is really a non-elective, which will be a relief. I decided that I should take another art class, but the only day to fit it in was on the day that I didn't have any other classes.... so much for only having two school days a week. Oh, well.

I started watching Heroes and the old Star Trek series, recently. I have to say that I'm more impressed by Star Trek than I am by Heroes. I blame both of these recent obsessions on the newest Star Trek film that came out (Zachary Quinto as Spock?? = wonderful). So, for season one of Heroes, I was watching it for Peter, Sylar, and Mohinder, but then... crazy soap opera crap happened and, now, after finishing season two? I'm only watching it for Sylar -- which is pretty much the reason why I started watching Heroes in the first place. Star Trek, I'm watching for the wittiness that is Spock (Leonard Nimoy is a splendid actor).

Anyway... best of luck to all of you who have finals. Not a soul took me up on the free commission for the kiriban -- shame -- oh, well.

Yes, yes, I finally started watching Doctor Who, after all of these years of people harassing me about watching the TV programme. Granted, I haven't seen many episodes that don't have David Tennant (I think he makes a better Doctor than Barty, honestly -- but I highly enjoyed the Shakespeare episode). He looks very stylish in that outfit of his, I must say.

Anyway, whoever gets the 5,000 pageview mark, send me a screen cap and I'll do a free commission for you, if you'd like. If the person in question doesn't respond or doesn't want a drawing from me, whoever gets the closest (after) the mark and does want one... Well, I didn't do so well on my Calculus Midterm -- not as well as I hoped, but my professor reassured me, saying that I did "really rather well" on it. Hah... like a 72 is a good grade. But he might curve it? -shrugs-

I have about 10 unfinished drawings in my sketchbook, now, and by the end of today, there will likely be even more. Of course, all of them have to do with that handy little "To Do" list that I have conveniently down there... Will I ever get it all done? Who knows.

Regulus, my cat, has been surprisingly well-behaved recently. Should I be looking for hidden things that he's mutilated under my bed?

Tonight (or, more appropriately, I should say "Morning") is the revenge of my insomnia, for some reason. I slept a little too much yesterday, I suppose. **Advice: falling asleep to Fringe isn't always the best thing to do.

I've decided on this basic guideline, at the moment:

For Commissions:

Currently five slots open. First come, first serve basis.

*PEOPLE (aka, Humanoids):
~Portraits will cost $2.00 (BW); $3.00 (Colour)
~Head to Waist will cost $2.50 (BW); $3.50 (Colour)
~Full-Body will cost $3.00 (BW); $4.50 (Colour)
~Extra Appendages (specifically wings or other similar things) will cost up to $0.50 extra for each pair (BW); $1.50 (Colour) -- depending on the level of detail asked for
~Backgrounds must be specified within the request or will not exist and cost up to an additional $1.00 (BW) and $2.50 (Colour) -- again, depending on level of detail asked for
~Additional People Present will be an extra $1.00 (portrait, BW);
~Fashion Designs (based on complexity, etc.) will range from $1.00 (front and back of single garment, detailed with fabric types and colours) to $3.00 (entire five-piece+ outfit); twice as much for colour versions
~Sketches as in rough works will only cost $0.75 for just about anything (hand-drawn in pencil -- no inks whatsoever); $1.50 (digital, using whatever background, gradients, brushes, etc.) - pencil sketch: [link] ; digital sketch: [link]
~Shading of sketches will only be an additional $0.25

**Note: I am willing to draw OC's, fanart, fashion portraits, and almost anything. My only stipulations are:

^I don't draw many women, so it might not turn out as well
^Please provide reference material to base my drawing on (either official artwork or a character description)

I've officially changed to Imageshack for the hosting of my images for this journal as photobucket decided to pixelate my background. Yeah, wonderful.

Gah, Calculus midterm doesn't seem as horrible as I previously thought -- doing to homework actually helps, though. The web design class I've started, though, isn't as easy as I thought it might be -- neither as straight forward. GAH! I hate everything. >>; all of my fanart that is of Harry Potter. Why? It's what gets the most hits and all my really good stuff (the stuff that's BETTER - yes, what a shock - than the shitty fanart) is almost totally ignored. I have a right to complain -- indeed -- it's my art, my characters, etc. -scowls-

On the same sort of topic: the only fanart I'm intending to draw at the moment (maybe) is Sherlock Holmes. Anything else won't even come to slither in my crazy head. Nope, sucks for you all. Hah.

Anyway, no stones, thank God. I adore my new hat (Mr. Hat to you) and have been wearing it every day since I bought it. I'll post it once I manage to get a good picture of it on me. I still adore Alan more than the hat, though. I suppose that's a good thing... -_-'

Eh, so... I'm psyched about the Sherlock Holmes movie coming out. Granted, I've heard from some pretty die-hard fans that it'll suck its way all the way to hell, but I am not wanting to start judging just based on two trailers that are mostly the same. I love Robert Downey, Jr., (he's a sexy man, indeed, esp. as Tony Stark) but as Sherlock? -shrugs- I won't be able to really say until I see the movie. I must admit that I adore Dr. Watson above Holmes, any day. (Wilson, anyone? )

Fooking Internet!!!

That's my phrase of the week. The Internet done too many things to my head that I can't list them all here without extensive editing (for length and otherwise).

So, I've finally seen D-9, if you couldn't tell from all the stuff I'm favouriting... I must see it again and again!! How will I, though, between all of my school work and all the other crap I have to do? I don't know, but I'll make a way!

Maybe I'll just bribe to go with me again over the weekend, or perhaps on Friday? -shrugs- I'll make it work. -plots-

School's not so bad. Despite not taking any English classes, I've been writing so many more essays because of my Ethics class!! Augh! Talk about irony. But, at least it's opinion essays, not persuasive or other sort of B.S. On the other hand, I have no bloody clue what I should do for my Calc III project. O_o Tell me about it -- I love the class... but a PROJECT?!?!? I don't have a clue as to where to start. At least Microbiology is somewhat easy, although I have a test for that coming up -dreads, somewhat-.

I've been doodling while at school between classes, I just haven't gotten the will together to crop them down and scan them in, etc. I still have ones from the summer that I haven't even finished!! -sighs-

School costs far too much money, I've decided. If I was a "better" artist, this might incite me to start doing commissions, but I doubt that would work -- my art "sucks" far too much to make any money off of. At least, compared to all those "individualistic" artists that make, what? $20 off of a pencil sketch? -rolls eyes- No offence, but when I draw epic art that isn't a fanart it gets virtually NO hits.

Fook you, DA. But where else can I post this much art without paying a fortune or bothering with hosting an obscure website that no one will visit? Alas, I haven't found any good alternatives.

Life sucks, then you get a real job after college, then it sucks even more, or so I've heard. Maybe it's all just a lie and I'll find greener grass on the other side!!

Otherwise, I don't have all that much to say, other than the fact I wish I had a Mac Laptop with those nice glass trackpads... -sighs- Well, I'm not going to forsake this computer and spend another grand on a different one. Maybe if I wasn't in college, I might, but... hah, not for another ten years, perhaps. Oh well.

I'm going to figure out how they make those skins for these journals and make on myself, if I don't give up half way. Gah. Well, maybe more inspiration will strike me once the effects of "A Scanner, Darkly" sink into my head more clearly. Wonderful movie, if you can tolerate some swearing, drug use, and sex scenes (it has it all, but only to further the plot, if it makes you feel better).

My friend tells me I need to see more movies, but I doubt they're ones that I've been watching on my own that she hasn't recommended me... hah. She's challenged me to write something "lighter" than my norm -- it's already proved to be exactly what it is, as I've only been able to write about 550 words, so far, in the past week. Wonderful. We'll probably be working on it tomorrow, if she's not making me watch movies at her house. Either way, I'll be inspired by the end of the morrow... or is it today, now that it's after midnight?

Obsessed much?

Over Spring Break:

I was first obsessed with finishing a few chapters of my fanfictions and perhaps get a bit done in that department.

Of course, that didn't last long, as I soon became obsessed with BBC's Merlin. Hilarious, but Merlin's a total dunce and I've decided with all the colour coordination going on in the series that (in my head, of course) Merlin is Salazar, Arthur is Godric, Morgana is Rowena, and Gwen is Helga, of course. How did I decide this? I was tired and had nothing better to do.

Then, I was doing something (can't remember what) on one of those sleepless nights of mine and came across my old love: The Darkness. I first bought "Levels" over a year ago and had read it like a possessed person, but was soon distracted by everything else in my life. Well, now that it was Spring Break, I decided that the launch of volume three was enough to get me interested again.

Bloody hell, Jackie Estacado is a hot, hot man -- that's all I have to say on that note. Outside of the mere fact that The Darkness is an awesome power -- much cooler than bloody Superman or Thor. Thor is an dude that has a stick shoved up his arse, from what I've read of Iron Man and Tony's opinion of him (-laughs-). I wish Jackie's kept the goatee: I was almost willing to ditch Tony in favour of the comic book man with the best goatee, but then he shaved it off. -sighs- Can't have everything, eh?

I'm patiently awaiting Jackie's regaining of the powers of Darkness in issue #13, v.3...
