'Nother pointless life update for you guys.

So summer semester has started again, as has senior year. Only taking two classes, but they are fairly heavyweight classes so I expect plenty of work (more like I KNOW there will be D< ).

About a week ago, I had a minor accident falling on top of a rail of the train tracks and nearly broke my ribs, but survived with a handfull of bruises with shortness of breath. After a night in the emergency room, pain killers, and rest, I'm healed about 90% of the way. So yeah, totally fine for the most part here. Still healing over after having all four wisdom teeth out, that's going pretty well, too.

Just bought a new laptop as of yesterday, along with an external harddrive. It's a Toshiba Satellite Series A305-S6916 (look it up on Best Buy: [link]) and is quite shiny. Still have my old laptop, but plan to give it to my mom as a mother's day gift once everything on here is set. Need art programs up the wazoo. You know. The "legal" kind. >.>;

Just a minor update to let everyone know that I'm still alive and somewhat kicking. Finals are over and I'm vacation. Surgery was two days ago on pulling out all four of my wisdom teeth, so I'm taking the time to rest and heal etc. Not to mention I'm all drugged up x.x . I need to know if the colors work based on what's there, aka too dark or light or incorrect hues of blacks or whites and if the gradients work, too before I start shading. Not really looking to change any of the colors to anything too off from what they already are lol. I am artistically dry as far as artwork goes, I've tried sketching but very few of what I put down looks like how I want it to be. Style and the like matter little art wise, but I want my art to look a certain way and conveying that appears to be difficult at this point in time. I'll just have to wait it out or keep drawing until it comes back, it's all I can do really.

Christmas was alright, I enjoyed the Eve before the Day, I'm not a fan of going to family gatherings. They're an old generation that is soon to die out unfortunately, it's slow but picking up the pace. I have tried to spend this remaining time trying to tell them about myself and what I do. Every grandma likes to treat their grandchildren like they're still little but that's the case with most of them. A little unnerving, they're predictable in every way, but what can you do?

My memere is grandually losing her vision, and her hearing which makes it difficult to understand me in general. Animation seems to be out of the majority of my families understanding so I have to rely on my friends for that aspect. My other grandmother was just put into some sort of "respit" or "restup' home, I'm not sure. A place where people go to get away from their relatives. She had been calling up my mother and harrassing or reminding her of bad memories that bubble up from time to time. All of which confuses my mother, we have no idea what's going on with her. Also, my great aunt Mary, a nun of the catholic church has cancer all over her body, having something to do with the lymph nodes. I feel terrible for her, she looks like she's in a great deal of pain...and I wish she could remember who I was. My old cousin Beth broke her back in September, and my cousin Moe is always getting injured or maimed in some way or another.

To make matters worse, my parent's cafe that they've been struggling to run for the past five years is closing as of the 31st and we're glad it's going. The town it's in is bad for business, all of the small businesses in the area have been going under in the past few months. My father's comic shop is doing fairly well but would do better if people had more money to spend, seeing as he's the only gaming store in the area. Money's tight for all of us, as we roll into this damned recession and begin to accept change. No idea where this is going, hopefully it will be for the better. When we've finally fallen to our worst, the only place we can go is up.

I don't mean this to sound depressing, as much as it does sound, I am fine. Hope you are all well.

Projects are done, homework is finished, one exam left and then I'm off to home sweet home. Victory! I'm so glad this semester is finally over and I can do what I want for a little while before starting up my summer semester at college. I can work on whatever lineart that needs to be colored and create more lineart to be colored, yeeee. The only one that's really finished is Alexander, but he needs a background...and two others have their bases down and need shading and background. Bleh. I haven't done a full fledged piece of art in a while...Not since the profile pictures of Zimmie and Riff anyway. Then I did a character ref page for Riff, then it was lineart from there on out....I need to do actual stuff because I feel like my peoples have lost interest in me because I don't do 'sparkly artwork' all the time...I dunno. Who knows. -shrugs- I do what I want, whatever. I have a massive headache and am tired as shit...I just don't want to go to bed at all. I finished my final animation in three days...and also my storyboard. Maybe I'll post them sometime when I feel like it.

I've pretty much finished Scenes 1 & 2 of my version of "If Only" and I'm satisfied wth the actions that take place. The only thing is that there are a few gramatical errors because I cut/copied/pasted a lot and have overlooked a bit of the wording. I did however score an A in the class I did it for, so you can look forward to a well written script for what's written so far. It's only 8 pages of Courier font, so it shant be that long.

Basic Premise:
The story is about three teenaged girls: Zimmie, Mitzy, and Rinoa; who live in the small town of Termekis. They all grew up together in the town's orphanage, and know nothing of their pasts. From what they can remember, they've lived in the town since they've been born, but recent events have lead them to believe that they are not normal girls. They try to survive the daily facade by defeating members of a human revolutionary group, The Elite, who are hell bent on destroying or controlling anyone who is not human.

If you'd like to read it, please comment with your email or send me a note with one if you'd rather not make it public. I do not plan on submitting my script to dA because of lack of trust in the Internet. I will finish the pilot, so expect an ending like the first episode of a television show.

I'm considering changing the title, since I didn't come up with it in all. If you read it, suggestions for a new title would be greatly appreciated. Feedback is also nice. I have the whole plot of the pilot worked out, but I might change some things around if I get some good ideas from feedback. And if there isn't any interest in the script, I wont bother mentioning it from here on out.

My presentation was .2 seconds short of 5 minutes. I should have taken another breath. 94 on my final portfolio. Teacher says I'm a good writer, so I guess I am. I might post some of my writing. Eh.. David Blair is amusing, hilarious in class. Best English teacher I've ever had.

Digital Imaging: B
What'd I do, suck the whole semester? I must've, cause I wasn't trying. Shoulda coulda woulda. Whatever. Teacher wasn't so bad. I got up at 7:20 so that I could get to MIS and print my final two pictures. Stood in line for 20 minutes (figures) so that I could finally print them. Some girl cut me in line -shakes fist-. Made it into class 5 minutes late, but at least I did my final.

Advanced Life/Anatamy: B
I'll admit I didn't try in this class, and I could have done better. Freedner isn't so bad...on his good days. I skipped one assignment and was late on two others so I'm not surprised that I got a flat B. I could have gotten an A- if I were working harder.

Acting and Movement: B+
Funnest class ever. I loved everyone's skits. They were all excellent. I got to do Jerry Springer style, all flailing and shit. I could have yelled more I think. I kept fogetting. My bad. Tyler wanted the anime style picture I did of him to hang it on his wall. I said sure, if the teacher doesn't mind. At least he was happy lol.

Good semester, no C's or B- this time. And there's an A! Joy.

When New Years came, I decided it was time to set myself a goal. I was going to go for 10,000 by the time 2008 had rolled around. I needed to set myself something to work for, and this was it. The pageviews themselves have no value to me, but rather give a vague estimate of how many people have come across my artwork. They might not ever remember me, but they still came. And I thank them for that.

I'm setting my kiribian for 10,000. If you happen to get it, I will draw anything you desire that's within my drawing capabilities. I will put everything down that I have sworn to finish (that isn't homework) and I will focus on only that until I am finished. That is my promise to you.

So I don't have photoshop on this computer, the fridge is almost empty, the people outside my door wont STFU, I'm not used to living in the city, and I'm bored as hell. I have yet to check what's on Comcast yet. Dunno what comcast -is- but I guess it's digital cable of some sort.

Today/yesterday wasn't shitty but there's that...deeper underlying layer of shit that is hidden under all of the mask of happiness. I'm trying to enjoy this but I feel dragged down sometimes. Maybe somethings on my concience and I don't know what it is. Usually that. Wish I knew.

I had two classes today:

Internet Technologies:
Alright class, a bit boring though. I think I'll defintely learn something in this class though. Something....useful. I've never made a website before, and the instructor says it's easy...so I guess it must be. He's the one with the PhD, not me. He has a fairly thick accent, I can usually understand him, but he writes on the board often so that's good. Handwriting is...okay. Pretty ledgible. Mine is pretty bad though.

Acting and Movement:
Fun class, as I thought it would be. I was able to break out of my shell pretty easily being the secretly expressive person I am. Just like developing my drama skills. I definitely think it'll help me with animation in the future, I have to bring my sketchbook to class >w> <3 Drawing clothed people in dramatic poses is fun. No offense against nekkid people, but I prefer clothed these days xD We played this exercise where you get in a circle on the floor and you go around the circle telling a story, but you can only use one word per person as you go around and it has to make sense. Ours came out to be:

Summer is fun and I hate moose. Alot of cake tastes like coconuts and strawberries. Moose scratches my balls of steel, but they itch and it is warm and feels painful when they swing to and fro. Children scream like the goats of Italy. Seals squeal because I hate Cinderella.

I don't think anyone'd be able to come up with that except maybe someone on LSD >>; My imputed words were: moose, warm and seals : D The instructor pointed out a few things that I did that he liked which was encouraging. It feels really great when someone verbally tells you when you do a great job. Feels better than reading it.


In other freakin news:

-I don't know what the hell is up with my online roleplaying group, but it looks like it's on a fast track to no where. I don't even remember what the fuck I was doing with the whole thing. Went from "steady pace" to *BAM* "Fuck this." Really fucking dissapointing. Nothing I can do about that though. Most of my characters are way the fuck away from anyone else.

-Remember those profile pictures I did? Unfortunately never got put onto the website or was put into development. More wasted effort down the shitter. Nice peices of artwork, yes, but they weren't put to use for what they were intended for. Which is dissapointing. I don't know why I get into online roleplaying because I put in the effort to do some extra stuff with different things and then everyone suddenly backs out but me and I'm left in the fucking dark. Big fucking dissapointment. I mean I like it, but if just about everyone backs out, that's the end. It seems to happen often. Usually without warning. Saddening, irritating and unmotivating.

-Tried a 'collaboration' account on ~XpandoranX but that didn't last very long, unfortunately. It was mostly connected to the roleplay and and those profile pictures. We tried doing a manga, but things have come up and I don't really think I'll be able to do all of the penciling -and- the inking along with leading it. Not something I can do during college. I just don't have faith in it, and without that I can't really go anywhere. Not to mention I don't have Photoshop, even if I wanted to do it. No tools=no artwork. Saddening.

-My 19th is tomorrow and I'll probably spend most of it by myself (nobody knows, I might just go out by myself into the city). I don't expect people to give me presents, I rarely am a gift-giver myself, so I don't expect it from them either. Welcome, but not expected. I have a class at 4:00 p.m. so yeah...not going to be out too late. I'll probably wake up at 12 or later and then quickly go grocery shopping (probably with ~takaiK if she wants to (lawl) cause I dunno if I'll be able to carry $40 or less of groceries. Most likely not. My stomach is irritated.

I'm going to make today a great day whether it likes it or not.

I never got my letter saying that I got into Nora, so I called up the Head RA guy and he said I'm in so that's a relief. So glad to be out of Regis...that place sucked but it still holds lots of memories *__* good and bad. Now it's time to make some new ones! Happiness all around!

I saw some of you at Anime Boston last month! We had a pretty big D.Gray-man group! I was very surprised. One of the first cosplayers I saw was a Kanda, low and behold, then just by standing in front of the registration door (which took 2 hours in line!) we got quite a few photos. I didn't have my wig on at the time sadly. Sad Kanda. Kanda sad. But soon I grabbed Linalee and got her to put it on for me. By the last day I figured out how to put it on by myself. Because I'm awesome. Yep. I hated my wig and now I love it. I didn't take any pictures sadly but I did steal-I mean borrow their pictures. There's still quite a few that were taken that I still want. I think Chancey took some and I never got them from her T__T. All the ones that were taken at Riverside. Those were epic...sort of/not really but I like to think so. If anyone has AB pictures, TELL ME. Especially if they're of me. Because I don't have many. Kay, thank you <3

Hopefully we can get the manga of Mystic Terror up and running soon once I get stationed and confortable in Maine. And once Athena contacts me with her AIM. Or something.
