*.*

Despite not hearing from many of my friends or family lately I am in a very joyous mood. Surprisingly optimistic and not as grotesquely depressed as usual. It seems Shmike has disappeared off the face of the earth, and all those other people I was once good friends with seem to be ignoring me. Hmmm... I think I should get a boob job. Haha. (Ok, never. But where are all these people???)

Nothing much to say right now. I've got a full day of setting up paintings to photograph and send to the Angry Island (UK). Fun. And instead of studying for exams, I'm procrastinating and drawing like a maniac. I owe alot of credit to all those math teachers that made me so bored I doodled in class...

I'm really looking forward to leaving in two months, and then visit my home country! It doesn't help that I've have literally been a nomad all my life, but 'home' normally refers to anywhere most of my family is residing at that moment in time. For now I'm stuck up in this bluish black thing called 'Youth Hostel' here in the place of Norse Gods. The weather is acting up and I broke my little red plastic Indian man. Not such a friendly place after all. Odin must have something against me? I DID NOT EAT A RAVEN!!!

Anyway, Zimbabwe (home country) is really lacking these days- you know they just released a ZW$10million note, and inflation is forever sky-rocketing. I miss the place (I did manage to suck 17 years of my life from it after all!), but I'm still a little glad I left last year. Nevertheless, when I look at all the pictures of my hometown I get a tiny little tingly ball in the back of my throat, like I want to be sick. With nostalgia that is. Not disgust. Google Earth 'Mutare' and you might catch a glimpse of a small valley with poor resolution. That is Home.

I think I should go make pancakes.

I am in a particularly writey mood. I've don't usually write journal entries because, frankly I never have enough time to in this Odin-forsaken country. I am also very in love at the moment with an artist with a particularly graphic and gory fetish for giant blue monkeys, Buddha, and bonded princesses. Anyone know what the hell I'm going on about?

I'm talking about the dear Katsuya Terada. (He's the character designer for 'Blood: The last Vampire) and if you manage to find his manga: The Monkey King (Saiyukiden Daienou) then prepare for one of the most spectacular manga pieces you'll encounter. I almost want to go make pancakes he's so good.

I think I will.
