jeez its been months since my last journal, haha. I have been so busy with work and stuff it is not even funny! my birthday was two weeks ago and was fun. Had a get together with a few friends. Thanksgiving was okay, was uneventful.

I got a tattoo today. I am really happy with the result. I love it. It is lyrics of a song by a band i am friends with. you can see a pic of it in my deviations.

For the first time in my life, i ran out of gas while driving in my car. I felt like an idiot, lol but it all got worked out and now i have a full tank, haha. Has anyone else ever done that?

So it has been a while since my last journal entry. life has been crazy with good and bad things.

in the past week i lost my wallet, got a flat tire (and only one car ou of 32 stopped to see if i needed help. maybe next time i will try to use people's pity towards my advantage, haha and wear shorts or something j/k). after my car got a flat tire the tire place said that the car should be looked at because the tire was in an odd condition, so after getting all new tires we took it to a mechanic. long story short there are over $1,000 in repairs that need to be done. luckily my dad's car is accessible for me and i am able to drive that one. hopefully my car will be finished by friday.

In other news I am now Assistant Manager of Hot Topic. Which is really cool and fun. 3 days after first becoming assistant manager, the head manager quit, making things very crazy. (Don't I just have the best luck?)

I also got a new cell phone. able to take pics and vids. i can be a cool kid now, lol. i have thought about making a movie just using my cell phones video capabillities. it hasn't been done, has it?

I want the look to be more artsy in design. abstract, realistic whatever style doesnt matter. no words or "verbage".

so i record of going 3 years without getting pulled over or stopped by police while driving ended this week, with me getting 2 tickets in a 3 day span. yes 2 tickets in three days. The first one was for going 41 in a 35 zone, the next one 2 days later was for going 56 in a 35 zone. And if i get one more ticket this month, i will loose my license

in other news dealing with the law, i have jury duty on monday, so we'll see how that goes.

I may be starting another job, because i could use the money, especially since i got 2 speeding tickets.

Thanks to everyone who offered to design my website for my clothing company. I've decided to do it myself [link] thats what it is going to look like. gonna put more info up on the site soon.

I have several shirt designs (a few are already in my scraps) that i am going to put up here on my deviant site and then have a poll to see which you like best.

The main idea of the pic is lead the viewer to make up they own story. But here is one:
In the bottom part of photo is the past, where the father told his son that the most important thing in life is love, and for a while they both believed it. But time passed and the father began to believe that money is all that matteres, and love he forgot the love.(upper part) The son noticed that the love have lost from their lives and pointed it out to his father - but his father was just confused, as he had long forgotten what love really was. He still knows it inside but harldy see it anymore.
I think the power of the pic is that u build up ur own story. And we trick the viewer by saying "do you get the story". They will build up the story and ask if it was the right one. But the true is, every story u see in it, is the right one!

Last Saturday my Great Grandpa passed away, a man who I was very close to and always looked up to. For everyone: my life has been crazy but fun. I got the shirts back about a week or two ago and they look awesome! i am so happy they turned out so good. I have already sold like half of them in other cool news- it's kinda funny, i started the contest cause i had almost 500 people, then a little over a month the amount of people has doubled. i now have like 1150 page views. how cool is that? school has been busy so has work. I picked up more hours which is cool and i am now the senior sales accociate, so i get all the manager duties and control when they are gone or on break which is pretty cool, especially since i have only been working there for like 6 months i think that is all for now!

Deviant art held a contest for subway/train station photos since NYC is banning photos of their subways. I submitted 2 as many of you who have visited my gallery have seen. While the didn't win, both were in the 200 sent to the NY subway commision. Out of over 1775 photos submitted both of mine were chosed to be in the 200 sent! i feel so happy and honored. sorry if it seems like i'm boasting too much, i'm just happy. (sorry i couldn;t think of a better title) So now that the new semester has started, i've been working alot. not just with school, but at Hot Topic too. Just did a 7 hour shift today. Which i don't really mind, since i now need the money. Work has been good. We may finally have a new head manager and the certain assistant person causing all the problems is now moving to another store completely!

In one of my classes we were given the assignment to come up with a company/product, make the product, do all the packaging and labeling, and then later on in the semester doing the advertizing of it which includes a photoshoot. I decided to do a clothing company called Scenester (yea i work at hot topic too much, but its more of a satire of those who shop there). Response of my designs and ideas have been so good and so many people have been interested that I will mostlikely be keeping this going and doing even more designs for it.

I will put some of the designs i came up with in scraps, including the design that will be on the first batch of t-shirts. If you are interested in a t-shirt let me know. I will also post the pictures from the photoshoots that i will be doing.

here is what you do (2 options):

1. What inspires you? Make a deviation about what inspires you/what makes you who you are today. This can be anything such as poetry, prose, traditional art, digital art, it's up to you. But i want you to focus on one thing (i know thats kinda hard.)

2. Using the theme of powerful/impacting. Come up with a deviation using the theme of powerful/impacting. This can be however you define the words/what those words mean to you. What makes you speachless, what really makes you say wow...

4. An explanation of your piece and why you did what you did

You can enter more than once, but only one may win. Please don't enter in an old piece. It can be a new peice or a revision of an old piece, but the revisions have to be obvious.

Well semester is finally over, portfolio review done, work is still going. Not sure how I did in a few of my classes, but oh well. Work is the same. Still putting up with Scenesters and Mallrats, lol

The monthly Slam poetry competition is this tuesday and i finally get to go since i dont have class til 9 pm anymore!

Now that i have cable modem i can dowmload music without having to wait a lifetime! and I have found the greatest program to do that: SoulSeek. OMG i love it, lol. If any of you have it my user name is emoarts so fee free to browse what i have.

And in other news, a few weeks back leaving from work i noticed there was a note on my car and a friends car (who at the time was my boss). I thought a first it was from a friend of ours who had stopped in earlier, but as i read the note i see it is extremely anti-liberal and pro-bush (i have antiwar stickers on my car and John Kerry stickers). So i go back into work to show my friend the note and tell her that she has one like it on her car too. She asks me to get the note on her car so she can read it. So I go back out and when I get to her car I notice my car got keyed... Turns out her's did too. The F"cker who left the note keyed our cars! It got be thinking though cause I have noticed this at other times too.. Why are republicans so angry? I mean they won the election, so whats wrong? I mean thats 4 more years with the president you wanted, so why are you so angry. And what is with people on the news saying people voted for morals and thats why Bush won? I voted for morals and thats why i voted Kerry. But yea it seems like republicans are so full of anger and hate. I want to know why. but that may just be one of those questions no one can answer...

Listening to: Throwdown - Forever

So the semester is coming to a close, have about 2 days left... I still have 2 projects i need to do, one being a photorealistic drawing... We also have a portfolio review on tuesay... i am so nervous about that... then for my American Sign language III class we have to take a long poem, over 20 lines, convert it to ASL and memorize it to preform for tomorrow... it doesnt help that on tuesday wehad to preform a poem memorized in class and then last thursday we did as well... When are we meant to have time for all this? half the week i have class till 9pm the other half i work until 10:30pm. I really am the most stressed i have been in a long long time...

At work we now have charity wrist bands (like the livesrong ones) these are black and say "rock the arts" and "music equals life" All the money goes to help fund and educate you in music and arts programs. the money also helps provide musical instruments and funding to schools who need it in order to keep the music and art programs going. wristbands are only $1.00 so if you are near a Hot Topic go out and get one!

In other news, we finally got cable modem! which is really coo, except for the fact it is only connected to one frickin computer. so i am still on dial-up until it is decided to conect mine.

So I got called into work today at 8 to help get shipment stocked and the merchandise reorganized. didnt realize until today how much dumb stuff we sell, lol we need to get cooler stuff in and better music. So yea i got called in at 6 and thought ok, i guess i would just be wrking till close and help close the store and we would be out about 10:30. boy was i wrong, lol I got home at 2 am. and now I am on deviant, which means i will be away for another 2 hours lol. man i am such an addict. i need a life.

All in all I had a good birthday weekend. still havent gone to a bar or club, lol donno if i will. It was monday that started sucking. That cutie that was spending the weekend and in my bed? yea he told me that the week before he had his ex got together... I havent really talked to him since i read the e-mail he sent me telling me that... still trying to decide what i am going to do about this, whether to give him a second chance or find someone else. I think i'm gonna stick with girls cause guys suck.

Thanksgiving is tomorrow (well later today). For all you non americans it is a day when we ignore history and the fact that millions of native americans were slaughtered, abused and forced to work by the pilgrims that came here and celebrate/give thanks to the pilgrims and native americans for working together and teaching eachother. It's funny how here in the US fact and history is often ignored or even changed. you should all read the book "Lies my Teacher Told Me" I forget who it is by, but it compares the most widely used hish school textbooks in the US and points out/corrects mistakes and mistruths in the textbooks. very interesting book. I love it. Anyway back to what i was trying to get at before... Happy Turkey Day (and yes it is a happy turkey day since I am a veggie and wont be eating them).

Note: i don't know how much sense this made because it is 3 am and i am really tired and when i'm tired i dont think correctly and ideas dont quite come out the way i want them too, lol

Reading: the Snow Garden

so yea, my party was today. went well although 4 of my friends who said they would be there werent and 2 people came who i really didnt expect to, nut its all good. i had fun and think everyone else did to. most of the night consisted of playing apples to apples instead of getting drunk. i think we laughed more playing a2a than we would have at the people who got drunk.
So D. came down for my birthday and for the weekend which is really cool. D is so hot, lol. Right now D is sleeping while i am here typing away on deviant art. i'm such a nerd. For some reason i cant sleep. kept tossing and turning you would think though that having a cutie in my bed with me would make it easier for me to sleep. i think i am going to try to sleep for the third time.
