A lot of it is... really crappy.  I remember thinking I was a good artist back then, but really, I was extremely weak in a lot of important areas like anatomy and perspective, which I think I've improved in a lot since I've been taking college courses.

Seriously though, I'm having a hard time with a bunch of stuff right now.

I'm having a hell of a time improving art-wise, because I don't have anyone to tell me what exactly I'm doing wrong.  I have a teacher, but as it's an online course I'm taking, I can't interact with my instructor IRL without an appointment.  It takes forever and a day just to get a graded assignment, which, I guess, is to be expected with something like an animation class...

This is a sort of random update on life as I know it.  It's been freakishly hot lately; so hot in fact, that it actually broke records.  I have been living in front of a fan and underneath wet toweling.  Somehow this has combined into some sort of cold thingy that makes me all tired and mucus-y.

We are now down to 3 kittens, as one has been adopted.  I cried when we had to give it away to it's new owners, but they seem like nice people, so I hope it's happy.

#1 Why does Cinderella have no toes?

Really, in the original animated Disney film of Cinderella, SHE HAS NO TOES.  She has a vague shape of toes, like you might get if you were wearing stockings or something, but it doesn't look like she is.

#2 For readers of the Wheel of Time books, do you think Rand has red-blond hair, or reddish brown hair?

It is my opinion that he has reddish brown hair, I don't care what the covers look like. I'm wondering what you would do if you had to choose between getting a graphics tablet, and taking a college course on Drawing for Animation.

The course costs more, but not by that much, and I'd be learning a lot of things that would make me a better artist, and it would give me something to do.

On the other hand, with a tablet, I could create art much faster and easier, and the quality would improve.  Theoretically I could make money off it, if someone were willing to buy things, and money is tight.

My sister and I were driving to the library on the way home from a store, when there was a white looking blur and a sort or ricocheting sound off my partially open window.  My sister said whatever it was had hit her in the head.  I supposed it was a wad of paper some careless car passengers had thrown out and had been sucked through our car window.  We left it at that until we got to the library where she could look around.  She pulled aside my coat, and found the culprit.

You'd be right, as most clowns have a creep factor of about 1800/10.

But...

I found that clowns are NOT scary when

A)  They have abs that could grate cheese

and

B) Those abs are always showing.

I'm speaking or Pierrot from Yakitate!! Japan, who fulfills both those categories nicely.
He's still creepy at first, but he remains the only clown I really like.

Besides Pierrot, Yakitate!! Japan is an EXCELLENT anime, which I wholeheartedly recommend.
