It has come to my attention that many ZADR fans are in fact, ignorant of the boy/boy love words used in the fandom. So I, Darth Bandeet, have decided on a whim to make this journal of defining words for joo! Anybody know of any words I'm missing, please let me know, as I'm getting these off the top of my head right now Xp

ZADR - a lovely acronym for Zim and Dib Romance/Relationship. It has it's roots deep in... well, people trying to find out how to say 'hot human/alien sex inside' while still staying PG . No, seriously, it came out of just slash culture and a bunch of other crap besides. I still stick by the definition above, though. It tends to be shounen-ai, if not blatant yaoi. Some of it IS good though

BL - In Japan, BL is the "modern" term for Shounenai, definition meaning "Boys love."

Hear ye, hear ye! Our Tallest has come back to us after her long and grueling trials (Finals) at the place of learning! It has left her sapped of strength, but she still manages to fulfill her Tallest duties!

Our Tallest has seen the list of complaints, has reviewed and wieghed the options and it has come to this:

1) People with large amounts of ZADR deviations should be limited to being posted once per week.

Approved

2) Deviations containing gore and/or M-preg should have warning labels in the title.

Labels for all, previews for skin and blood.

3) The club should switch to posting 2 deviations per day instead of 3 or 1.

Approved.

4) A committee of about three or 4 different minded people will decide on an extended definition of a what a 'scrap' is, using facts that everyone can agree is true about any given deviation, such as that it's blurry, has scanlines, or is a pencil sketch. Also, they could take inventory of selected standard deviations they think should be scrapped, then ask the artists of those deviations for permission to scrap them, and the artist can then fight for any deviations they feel they worked hard on and deserve to stay in the main gallery.

The committee will be composed of three regular members, not the mods, so that there can be no cries of favoritism. If you have any nominations or would like to nominate yourself, please note the club with your nomination.

5) Only Zim and Dib in obviously romantic situations should be posted in the gallery.

Rejected. ZADR love more often than not is sick, twisted and sadistic, so those and others with hints of sexuality and shit stay.

6) The deviations of 'dead' members should be moved to scraps and old deviations, for which the originals are no longer available, should be archived and kept in a separate gallery on another site.

Rejected; I will allow someone that feel up to it to make a specual journal entry with all the deviatiosn no longer avaliable listed there
7) The name of the artist should be included in the title of the deviation.

Rejected.

8) Scraps should be submitted as a scrap in the first place. Those who want to keep track of all the club's works should then watch the scrap section.

Approved

9) People who are no longer a member of the club should have their deviations removed from the club's gallery .

Rejected.

10) Members should only be allowed to win 2 months in regards to the calendar contests, in order to give other artists a chance at winning too.

Members can win up to 3 months.

Also, it has been decreed that due to the slow downloading of certain computers, the number of emoticons will be reduced.

Pro: After all, this is a club for Zim and Dib Romance, is it not?

Con: There are only so many different positions and angles you can take of Zim and Dib kissing or hugging, before pics get repetitive. Just because two people/aliens are in love doesn't mean they get along the entire time. Also, those of you who read Fanfiction have probably come across a few ZADRs that got pretty bloody, right? A lot of them end as death-fics, with gory endings. An example of this would be this pic that's in line to be posted by *soulofthewater [link] which, if you'd read the artist's comments, you'd see clearly has a ZADR background.

6) The deviations of 'dead' members should be moved to scraps and old deviations, for which the originals are no longer available, should be archived and kept in a separate gallery on another site.

Pro: There would be more space in the gallery for new pics.

Con: What if the deviation is something current members would still like to see in the main gallery? Unless it fits the description of a 'scrap' or is something everyone agrees they could live without, it should stay where it is.
