School might mean more works, but I really cant promise anything anymore with how busy I always seem to be. After all this is the first journal I have posted since April (good lord....) so I obviously fell off the ball at some point.

It went by too fast! Just like all those seniors said back in freshman year! WHO WILL RUN THE SCHOOL WHEN WE ARE GONE!? THOSE JUNIORS CANT HANDLE THE PRESSURE!

Well in a semi-related story, I HAVE A 15 inch MACBOOk PRO! The art college I am going to recommended such a laptop and I got some sort of discount by being a student or something crazy and unheard of like that...

Anyway, I received numerous programs with it including Adobe Creative Suite 4 and all the numerous adobe design software it came with. Illustrator CS4, Flash CS4, Photoshop CS4, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Fireworks.... GAH! (Just to name a few) I don't even know what to do with half of them but THEY ROCK! I have enough fun just playing around with them.

But you know what really grinds my gears? April Fools day.... April Fools.... cause I loves this holiday.

Today was one of the best April 1st i have had in years. A buddy of mine rocked out in the bathroom today after lunch (amp and everything) while we got jokes over the announcements and in the halls and everywhere else you can think of. Jokes on students, jokes on teachers, jokes on freshmen, jokes on seniors.... what a great day. Lets get on with prom, pull a senior prank, have our graduation parties and double check to make sure we have everyones facebook pages and call it a year.

Its been a while since my last journal so heres a few updates.

I'm currently applied, accepted and getting ready to go to the University of Louisville and see about getting into a design career or something of the sort. I just recently applied for a few art scholarships so I hope that goes through (U of L gives out scholarships like chicklets)

School has been busy with work and art along with after school events and doing stuff with friends (Senior year rocks)and it feels like the remainder of the year is flying by... (Oh noes! D

One big bummer is that I wont be going to Germany afterall, the trip got cancelled due to lack of interest which was a direct result of the economy situation. But on a brighter note my family and I may be going to Hawaii instead! I tackled Alaska last summer so why not Hawaii right? sure...

ANYWAY! I apologize for not being particularly active at anything short of posting art and commenting about it but thats just life. Thank you to all those who still watch this old coot and take interest in my meager images. Random change of subject, Fallout 3 is an amazing game that I did not know until about a week ago. If you love rpg's and don't mind it being in a FPS style then Fallout 3 will be your favorite game I promise! :3

Getting set to go to college next year, finishing up my portfolio and private works in hopes of scholarships (it would be nice) ....I should really post some of my portfolio pieces.

In other news.... Its looking like I will be going on a three week trip to various German speaking countries in Europe next summer. Should be fun, I have been to a little over 3/4 of all the states in our beloved country(including Alaska)as well as Canada (including BC and Yukon) and Mexico... but Europe would be my first time OFFICIALLY overseas. And its like a 12 hour flight from Kentucky to Germany and I just love flying (I call window seat)

I am a republican, I was pro McCain and yes I am displeased with the election... im not devsitated or fleeing the country like many people expect me to be.... just displeased.

Speaking towards all you Obama fans out there, you can go ahead and celebrate but the last thing any of us want to see is finger pointing. Don't mock us because we lost... don't mock us because of our ideas and views... and (God forbid) don't make accusations of racism...

I vote in what I believe in, there's nothing wrong with that. THERE IS something wrong with degrading someone for what they believe in.

I didn't agree completely with McCain but I agreed less with Obama so I simply went with the lesser of two evils (in my own opinion and standpoint)Im significantly pro-life which is why I could only find myself in favor of McCain.

I do not want to force my views on you all. I know your probably great people and my beef right now is not with the election but the ignorance and arrogence of the attitudes that a select few people have shown to me.

Put simply... you don't have to be an ass just because you won. Please... just be respecful.

Seattle (we stopped for 2 days there before the cruise) was great. Much cleaner town than Cinci (scuzzbucket) and in a neat location. Our hotel was on like the 24 floor of a skyscraper.... pretty sweet really.... we walled all over the place and saw neat things and yeah

then we visited some old Air Force friends of my mom and dad, they took us on their boat around Lake Washington and we saw all the multimillion dollar lakefront houses including one that looked like a castle, one that had a full T-rex skeleton in the main hall and Bill Gates lake house. I was also thrilled by the number of seaplanes (float planes) in the area and Seattle (there were plenty more to come in Alaska)

On saturday we boarded the Golden Princess (after baggage and passport junk). THe ship was beautiful and much more elegant than our last cruise. buffets open 24/7, several resturants, dining rooms, 4 pools, 8 hot tubs, running track, tennis court, spa, fitness center, childrens center, teens center, arcade,casino, a few shops in the atrium, prolly around 20 elevators... a floating city to say the least. Carried around 2400-2500 passengers I believe with a crew and staff of a couple 200 or more (estimate)

In the various stops we took (Skagway, Ketchikan, Victoria, Jeunu (spelling?)) I went whalewatching (saw PLENTY of whales, seals, eagles and... pine trees) saw 2 glaciers (we dont get snow like that here...) took a bus deep into the Yukon and saw gorgeous landscapes and tundra and mountains and visited a few very remote towns and then took a senic train ride back. And then we went ocean kyaking and saw more eagles (common bird up there) starfish, kelp, fish and a weasle.

the cruise lasted about a week and we arrived back in port 2 days ago :3, met lots of people my age on the ship and got plenty of gamertags XD

1) well for starters, my art class has been LOADING work onto my shoulders this quarter! You see, at the start of the 4th quarter i was assigned 6 pieces based on areas of improvement and such works like that! regular checkup dates were scedualed throughout the quarter to make sure my classmates and I were up to date on our own individual projects! all 6 of each of our projects will be turned in for our FINAL EXAM! and i am proud to say i am right on top of that! but... 6 projects (averaging 30+ hours each) is VERY time consuming!

2) ACT!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! have taken it twice! 4 hours of testing is TOO MUCH! SAT!??! NOOOOOOOOOO!!! took that last saturday... ALSO TOO MUCH TESTING!!! ACK! but yes I had to spend lots of time preparing for those and hoping for college-acceptable scores and the works like that

3) VIDEO GAMES! yeah thats pretty understandable....

NEXT QUESTION!: Do you plan on coming back to all of us when school is over!?

YES!!!! I miss all of you! But now i am motivated to get to work again! maybe even post some traditional work on here! i have soooo many pieces i could do that with!!!! RAWR!

Not too long ago i join :iconroninultramix:'s Samurai Duelers League, which is basically a year long OC battle contest with teams, shops and its all feudal japan themed. pretty sick stuff if you ask me, I put Zando and Moonwing in as a duo although Zando will be doing the real fighting while i suppose Moonwing is a supporting character, check out the tournament if your interested: [link]

they accept every kind of battle entry except for writing.... i think, anywho i mostly joined it to give me some insperation on future works.

I joined the Gokiburi-gumi, a team run by and his handful of OCs, plenty of open spots availible... i think O_o

also, I GOT A TABLET..... now im having loads of fun playing with it. :3

I have already done a few pieces using it.... (just check my most recent ones if you care enough)

other than that, life goes on. Oh and "Red Rising Moon" has been put on hiatus.

unfortunatley im back in skewl -.- i really enjoyed the time off and now my life is consumed once again........ oh well

I didnt get around to a Christmas themed pic so i sort of worked one into my New Years pic, i have several pages lined up for Red Rising Moon as well as some other junk.... some of it may go to scraps while others may turn out good enough for a real pic, i also have some traditional artwork to upload whenever i get around to it.

I also just got my car back after a wreck i had in December (first car wreck.... car was totaled.... not even CLOSE to being my fault.... other guy was over the center line..... i was kinda pissed..... the other guy's insurance company covered the whole thing) it was in the shop for weeks.... the damage was horrible, but now its literally good as new... maybe better lol

In Kentucky, that means i get all the restrictions taken off my liscense and i get a REAL liscense! which means i can drive during ALL ours of the night with as many unrelated passengers as i want!

After 6 months of temps and another 6 months of a restricted liscense... im ready for a real one (damn these Kentucky laws.... oh well.... -_-)

I recently began a new side story called "Red Rising Moon" which is actually based of a very weird dream i had a few weeks ago. I was runnin from vampires and everyone I know was being turned into one................................ it was..... strange.... O.o
Also strange that I woke up and could remember almost the WHOLE dream... and it ispired me enough to come up with this....

I have dabbed a bit deeper into digital art and hopefully ill imporve from here

going into my 3rd week of skewl (2nd full week) and hopefully this year will run smoothly, with school comes more submissions and art pieces, I plan on updating "Lizard Tails" soon enough... just need to get a few things out of the way first (including an art project and a pamphlet cover that i volunteered to create) also... I HATE stand by.... its great and all but i hate it cause every flight today has been oversold or full and we cant get a flight back home to Cincinnatti... our last hope is this 11:40pm direct flight to Cinci and if we make i we will lan there around 6 or 7 am Kentucky time..... thats over 24 hours of wearing the same cloths!!! >_<

last tim i travel for awhile.... ah well.... i guess all these paying customers are good for my dad's company (Delta airlines)

anywho... Grand Canyon rocked.... it really does take your breath away (go to the northern rim.... far less crowded and spectacular views.... beautiful

AND TO TOP IT OFF.... we stopped by Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas.... and I saw some of my favorite aircraft in action.... big ol A-10's.... my dad's F-16's (flew em back in his AF days)... good ol F-15's ... and to top it off... plenty of stealthy F-22

EDIT: we made it back... just so you know.... caught that flight and landed at about 6 am cinci time yesterday.... im done with travelling for awhile -_-

normally, with summer comes less artwork (for me) i guess just because im less motivated to draw at home than at school where i have nothing better to do

maybe this summer will be different...

just came back from school, yeah student elections was a joke... but more importantly (at least to me) is the piece im currently working on... im expecting this to take several days as it is loaded with detail AND im planning on making it a night scene which means lots of shadowing and lighting effects and such... but im hoping it turns out great

I just took a moment to look at my gallery... my last several submissions are all depressing... or sad... mostly because one of my main characters just died in the story... (Lunia) So I feel like I should do something a bit "cheerier"... something happy... a happier picture... in fact... maybe I can link it to the story... perhaps something joyful will happen during this time or sorrow and sadness?

Wed the 25th: anyone ever read "All Quiet on the Western Front"? Its a good book if you havent. Its ALMOST anti-war but not... more of... it describes and tells you about how violent and "unheroic" war is... you know it throws the whole "romantic and heroic war story" and throws it back in your face. Its pretty interesting (WW1 and trench warfare and stuffs.... a bit gory and.... uh... sickening at some parts)

1) Anime bashers
2) Anime bashers who are fixed on the stereotype that all anime is porn-related and have obviously never taken a moment to appriciate real anime
3) Anime bashers who have seen nothing but Poke'mon so when your drawing in class they look over your shoulder and say "oh your drawin your poke'mon characters again"
4) dolphins........ they mock me

Ill have a new gallery update in a few days.... and that kid with cancer... is doing better, hes going to be in school after spring break and he is already back on the baseball team... he wants things to be back to normal and doesnt want people to feel sorry for him... he says hes tired of seeing tears

he has to go through chemo once a month for the next year apparently... but like i said, hes doing better and will be out of the hospital soon

Last week this guy from school went into surgery to get a tumor removed from his brain... we found out today they removed 95% of it and that its cancerous....

I have known this guys since like the 2nd grade and now hes going through kimo next week... (prayers services all over the place and get well card being signed everywhere (Catholic Private school)) and uh.... damn its scarey

so if its too much just keep this guy in yer prayers alright? ive never actually known someone (this close) who had cancer before and the fact that this guy is only 16 years old ... and ive known him for prolly almost 10 of those years

Yeah, part 2 is taking longer than i thought... i have the entire story summary already thought out, planned and outlined but i cant get myself to work on it.

In the meantime, more updates every few days and such (i just work at that kind of pace i guess) and some big project here an there (stuff like "mental typhoon" that i actually spend anywhere from 8-12 hours on)

big problem is i got this pointalism due on Monday (i think... art teacher might push due date back (again...))
and pointalism takes FOREVER (sooo.... many.... dots....)
and I only have 3 days to finish about 3/4 of my picture... could be in for a nice looooong weekend...
