At the moment my head is about to explode because I urgently have to do very important job, but I cannot because one of my cooperators refuses to provide me with the materials I'm helpless without. I don't think anyone remembers Henry Ford as a man of a big idea. This idea was to make human life better by providing them with goods, money to buy that goods, and time to share their lifes with their families. Mass production was a key to achieve all of this and the history of 20th century clearly shows that Ford was right. Now we live very comfortably because we have wide access to many industrial products: from houses with walls painted with toxic-free paints, to cars, to computers, to books.

Ford found a way to cut working time to 8 hours a day and raise his workers wages to $5 a day (while other capitalists paid $2-2.50 then), while manufacturing cheapest cars of that time. Mass production seemed like magic, but I think it's a proof for the greateness of human mind.

I'd like to cite first words of his book to encourage you to read the whole "Today and tomorrow":

"We Are Being Born Into Opportunity.

For hundreds of years men have been talking about the lack of opportunity and the pressing need of dividing up things already in existence. I've just ended testing of my friend's camera. Let me tell you the whole story:

After my Zenit ceased to function, I've realised myself, then in my whole life I've hardly used any other camera. So I don't know anything about cameras construction and function. The other problem was, what to do with no camera in my hands. The simpliest way would be to buy a new tool... but which should I choose?

My friend Koni (thanks! ) borrowed me her Praktica BX20 until I find something for my own. This was precisely 7 days ago. I loaded the camera with a BW film and started to test a possibilities I've never seen before. A light-meter for example The only problem was that my superior Sigma lens doesn't fit to this camera (yes, I thought that all Prakticas has an M42 mounting... but it appeared that not all - Prakticas B series use their own mounting).
That was a wonderful week and I was making photos in a way I have never done it before. Yesterday I've get my film processed and some of the photos are already submitted to my gallery

So I decided to buy my own Praktica - and here it is: Praktica MTL3, a bit older design than BX20, but it fits to my lens. After I've ended testing of my friend's camera, I started to test this one. Results will be shown during the next week probably.

Let me end this boring writing and announce a CONCOURS!

While traveling by train I've seen a nice landmark: tower of Rydzyna castle. So I photographed it. The problem is in much too wide angle of lens used, so the photo needs to be cropped.

Damaged scroll mechanism, shutter (probably return spring), lens mounting, unfunctional lightmeter (well, I have never used it, but if I want to take pictures in more difficult light conditions, I cannot do without it) are primary problems, but there are more obstacles. During many years I've tried to fix these things, but now there are problems too difficult for me to solve.

Zenit works no more.

Several hours ago I tried to finish the last film I had in Zenit. Well, it is impossible now as well as trying to put any new film inside. Now my camera is completely dead.
