Merry New Year, my Easter peeps!


Well, after a successful return flight from Atlanta, I am now home safe and right back into the swing of things (Of which include mindlessly squandering my time, and procrastination on large amounts of school work)

AND NOW FOR SUCCULENT, JUCY, AND TENDER DETAILS:
Myself and a team of around 20 others all flew down to Georgia for the most bestest Robotics regional competition ever. We bunked at a 41 storied hotel with glass elevators. It was quite frightening to look down from the 37th floor and see that elegant marble lobby far faaar faaaaaaaaaaar below (picture => [link] ). Each day, our robotics horde traipsed a good mile and a half (after either an overpriced hotel breakfast or a retro cafe style meal) from the hotel to the GEORGIA DOME. It was epic.
Once there, we split up into 2 groups; one to go to 'the Pits' (where much work was being executed on our bot), or the stands (where far more monotonous tasks were preformed). I, myself, was often in the latter group, having virtually no usable skills in coding for our Autonomous mode, and not wanting to enrage our group leader with my clumsy, stressed-out wieldings of sharp metal objects. Yes, we had much fun.
After each long day came to a close, we all trekked back to the hotel for some sleep, the CNN building for some dinner, or the park for some football. (while we were there, some guy got shot in the leg for eluding Police capture, or something like that) Lots of excitement all around.
For the days that followed, my roommates and I lived off of a strange combination of smoothies, pop tarts, and DVD movies (Red vs. Blue Season 4, and Monty Python & the Holy Grail).

Overall, our team did quite well. We made it to the quarter-finals. We were 3 wins to 2 losses, and had 2 more matches to go. Unfortunately, in those last rounds, the bots we were paired with experienced technical issues and could not participate, thus loosing the matches.

GOMMURNING MY FRIENDS
I hath returned from my trip to the middle of nowhere.

Over this past Chrismakuanzica vacation, I was very fortunate to be able to travel to a remote tropical paradise; Cat Island, Bahamas.
It was wonderful... There was a strong breeze to keep the heat off, no lights around for miles ( The stars and moon served as the only luminescence in certain parts on the land ), the water was always warm, and the wildlife was pleasantly exotic...

Yes, it was 5 $ for a loaf of bread
And, yes, there were bugs
But it was great, and I highly recommend a visit there...

The summer went by so fast...

1. Hmm... habits, huh? Lessee... umm... i have a habit of being overly thoughtful and pondering things like human existence and why things happen... I have too much time on my hands...

2. Guhh... I listen to music? Lotsa music... can't live wifout it... mostly instrumental stuff... occasionally some techno, depending on my mood...

3. *whines* I'm only at number three??? Welll, I guess it's safe to say that I'm rather boring... my friend says that I'm "All spirity and what not", which is true... I collect feathers...

4. I have occasional habits of being slightly obsessive-compulsive over certain things (often characters) for a time (Invader Zim, Metroid games, Jasper, etc...)

5. I procrastinate... yup... mainly on school assignments and other things that i have to get done... At the moment, I'm procrastinating on a report for English class about Edgar Allen Poe... wahoo...

I enjoy residing in trees and watching people... It's neat because at least half of the human population is absorbed in their own little world and don't notice some weird girl lurking about in a pine tree...

I recently became re-reacquainted with an old show that I loved; Beast Wars....
Yah, not many people have heard of it... It was like an awesome digital version of the 'Transformers' show, but with animals 'stead of cars...
Funny in a dorky, kid way with an interesting plot line... I highly recommend it!

1st topic: Random Thoughts

Is it just me, or does anyone else get sudden random thoughts that you just have to express?
On Monday, it was the Donuts...
On tuesday; Macaroni...
Today it happened to be Keebler Elves...
I'm beginning to suspect a food theme here...
This occurrence is often the result of last period Spanish class, in which my brain is so desperate to escape, that it resorts to blowing up ginormous bubbles of random words that fill my head until I feel as if I'm gonna explode...
I usually end up ranting on about the words, like how the keebler elves where coming....
