Well I have some pretty exciting news to share, and I shutted my mouth since one year now !

My "Seasons" pictures will get published in a book "The Modern Vintage Illustration" written by Martin Dawber, and written for the foreward by 'the design guru' Stephen Bayley.

The book will show several artists using vintage with a modern use.
It goes out into printers at the moment, so it'll get published this summer.

Meanwhile I received by mail the cover done by Julien Pacaud.

Wow that's been a long time (April) since I last wrote a blog entry here.

Well I'm busy busy :work: like a lot of people I bet. :p I found a part-time job at the hospital of my town, in the Intensive care Unit, but it's only for 6 months. (temporary contract)
I'm a secretary if you didn't know, so when I work I'm either :typerhappy: ..., or :yawn: ... lol
I miss my earlier job in Paris it was a lot more funnier. But it's crisis and we can't demand a lot.

What is it ??

"At some point in our lives the majority of us have encountered colouring books. This could have been from your childhood, maybe your younger family members or your children... or if you're like me as a way to relieve stress!

These books of printed line art were coloured in by traditional tools... of coloured pencils, crayons and felt tips. For some of us, this was the doorway into learning and appreciating art.

There was a lot of satisfaction and joy in being able to finish a page or even a book! Often the hardest challenge was to stick inbetween the lines.

My mom is now fine, recovered from her cancer. :)

It's been a long time since I didn't write any news here.
So it's time to write tonight.

A big storm came in my family life two weeks ago...
I learnt my mother has a large cell lymphoma. A cancer in the lymphatic system, caused only by a virus. She was really tired since six months with pain in throat, stomach, and back.
She's at the hospital since 1 week and half. She had done a lot of exams, radio, scanner, echography...blood tests, biopsy.
She's so tired, but she keep positive and can't wait to start the cure !! She smile and we are with her everyday at the hospital, my brother and I.

I got the job ! I was searching since a while a job you all know.
Well I'm starting monday in my new job as medical secretary. ( yeah I know, a graphist working in medical, weird) I'm a bit worried, excited, stressed, all at once ! :XD:
So I'll be in a school ( Pigier in Paris for those who knows ) two days by week, from october 08 to june 09, with an exam at the end. I'll learn all I need to know about medical stuff. Yeah ...*sighs* :( I lost all my personal files in my Hard drive yesterday.
It includes the updates of two Illustrator files I didn't copy on a dvd, the Yavanna pic and the futuristic girl in a city pic that I completely lost :dead: ... and many more things, like game saves, mp3...etc

I lost also all my letters for my job search, I had to rewrite them XP

It was an external HD in a box.

I'm totally an idiot, and my brain is not the best to remember "vital" things like turn off the switch.

Hi there,

I'm back in France since 1st January 2008, I'm living now in Paris with my brother and trying to find a job.
I didn't get the visa to live in quebec with my mom, because of stupid politics blahblah maybe, but it doesn't turn me down. I'm going to try it again in 2 years when I'll have more experience to show.

Anyway, it has been a very very long vacacion, 6 months in total in Quebec (1st July to 31 Dec 07). I saw three seasons, my prefered one was Winter for sure with -20°C ! :crazy: So much fun to walk in lot of snow !

I had totally fun with my family in Paris.
The Ballet I watched in the Garnier Opera was totally stunning. It was my very first ballet, and no need to say that the decoration was also awesome in the opera, marble and gold everywhere... :wow: I'd love to see now an opera, but I don't know when I'll be able to go once more in Garnier Opera.
