I've been pretty busy ignoring doing classwork, and as such haven't had time to scan and upload some new stuff (except for a sneak peek at my species, the kelt).

I've got some ideas in the works, but so far nothing is finished enough to upload even as a work in progress. Or maybe I have some stuff hidden in my sketchbook that I just can't think of right now...I'll work on it anyway.

Marching Band is kicking my ass but I love it anyway. Highstepping is hard, 3turns are hard to remember but fun, and music is difficult in the most delightful way. Yay for switching instruments! lol probably would've been a good idea to actually PRACTICE my alto before going off to uni since I've been playing a bari sax for 4 years. Big ombiture (or is it ambeture?) difference, much faster fingers, different breathing yada yada blah blah blah. I think I'm catching on though.

Classes start on the 31st. As strange as it sounds once classes start I'll have alot more free time. WOOT! :w00t:

Adorable little things, kittens. For instance, this morning she decided that my lap was appealing enough to sit in even though I was about a foot and a half higher than her. I swear she just up and launches herself halfway across the room and latches onto my leg with her claws while I was staring off into my computer screen, totally unawares.

I got my mom to let me keep her by saying I found her on the porch soaked to the bone, mewling like the saddest thing in the world...more like I rescued her from some crazy children at the request of their older brother. Speaking of him, for some reason this little gal ended up with the name 'Silent Bob'...whaaa? Some character from tv I've been told, but hell! I don't watch tv, I'm too boring for that. lol I youtube everything instead :XD:

Which brings me to my next great discovery! The Beaver Bunch! [link] Great channel on youtube, I'm already hooked from...two days? three? Meh who cares, a very short amount of time! I'm really quite bummed to not be working this week though. Sure it's great to not have to herd the campers around everywhere or have them ask if my hair is a wig or if I'm a guy or not or to clean up their crap or to move their stuff (lol when I say crap I mean actual Oh my god it's on my shoe! crap) or to help someone that's having a seizure at THREE IN THE MORNING, but when all's said and done you feel awesome about it all while still counting the seconds until your next break. lol I guess it's a love-hate relationship. Great training if I ever decide to have kids though I suppose.
Anyway, I really miss having something to do all day and having people around to appreciate what you're doing (even though some of them deny it to spite you). Man! I sure can't wait to go back.

A bit after we had finally made it to the fire pit where we were supposed to be raking it clean (we managed something more along the lines of...talking about school :nod:) Mom started shouting for us to come and look at something. First we saw my truck, then the horse, then the fact that the horse's head was in the open window of my truck...so I ran down the hill to find out what was going on, which freaked out the horse and made it bolt :sprint: When I got to my truck I looked for my sketchbook (which I've started carrying around with me everywhere) to find that it had bite marks on it...big ones...dirty ones...THE HORSE WAS EATING MY DRAWINGS!!

Plus on the way home someone put a soda on top of my sketchbook and it condensated all over work, which led to the sudden shouting of ZOMG WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?!?!?

Oh! And while we were on the farm my sis had jumped in the pig pen and rolled around with them x3

EJ is a filly that stumbled upon a nest in the woods one day, by witnessing the hatching of a lonely saphire and jade egg. When the young dragon finally escaped his shell the first thing he saw was EJ. And as you can probably guess, that little dragon was JC. They became best friends and maybe later in their lives developed a little romance. Ej can shift between human and horse, so I figured that she might as well be able to become a centaur as well...a perfect blend between the forms. JC can shift into anything, but his favorite forms are human, dragon, and horse.

My mom is about to drive me up the wall. She's got her mind latched onto some get rich quick scheme involving me, a childrens story, and some fancy artwork...ugggh! And it's for this reason that I hide my pictures from her :nod: If she sees them for too long she might end up sucking them into her plan and then I can never let them live the way I had hoped they would. Sometimes it feels like I only get ideas when I'm about to fall asleep though.

The mind wanders too much for me...maybe I should lay off the sugar for a while and get some more sleep.

Anyone know how to kill the block monster? Or at least knock it out for a while?
