WHY? Because my Semester Exams are coming up next week so that means I will have to study. Not to worry though my classes this year are pretty easy so I think I would do fine! But due to this, I may not be able to upload anything major such as Olragon Revamped for ANOTHER two weeks, which really, really sucks! I will still upload some minor illustrations black and white this weekend though, which will somewhat fill the void left by my absence on this page.

I feel that Olragon Revamped will indeed be a slow process, but to make up for it, once my exams are done, I will upload Parts 2 and 3 at the same time. Also since my holiday break is after exams, I will be uploading more stuff and continue my work on GUARDIANS

Since he, a couple of other friends of ours and I are sharing one collage, we both decided to make various versions of ourselves. Hedgehogfever42 is currently in the works of illustrating Lord of the Rings versions of ourselves and by this weekend I will be illustrating kaiju versions of ourselves.

Right now I am Olragon and Hedgehogfever42 is Saberoth. The two other kaiju which I am making for my other three friends are Abomination (named by Hedgehogfever42) which will be based off a random drawing that my friend did for art class of a monster with multiple limbs coming from his shoulders and chest. He'll be short but powerful as hell just like in real life hahaha. The next kaiju will be more of a serpentine dragon-like kaiju which is still being worked on to be more kaiju-fied. The final kaiju will be a cyborg. I have no name for it yet, but he is based on a friend of mine who is just chuck full of random information and is often joking about taking over the world. I'll post the final sketch up once complete in the coming weeks.

GUARDIANS has really taken a blow from this busy schedule, but no worry, I will be working on it over my Christmas Break and hopefully we'll see a late spring or mid-summer release.
The "Olragon Animated Movie" is still in the midst of early pre-production. At the moment, I am still drafting various ideas. The one I am pretty much aiming for right now is animating my scrapped comic project Olragon Generations Since this will be NumbSKULL Pictures' first ever actual major production I am going to try and utilize everything at my disposal (my cousin and his friends in Guam are really in making movies and since I'll be living there I asked if they would be interested in voice acting and they said that they were so I am hoping that they would cooperate with me on this project when the time comes) and also that means I need to come up with an original score for the movie, but I'll deal with that in post-production. At the moment I need to focus on getting a story down and begin writing a script.

Anyways that's all for now. This week I have to work backstage for my school's Sweeney Todd play EVERYDAY from 3:30 to 6:00 PM and the busride home takes at least an hour in rush hour so yeah....BUSY ME!

I have to admit, designing Fiery is a hell of a lot harder than designing Olragon because there are many other factors to consider such as differencing male and female since Olragon and Fiery are brother and sister, also the differences in design between Olragon and Fiery. What to replace? What not to replace? You know all that stuff.

I just came back from the Kenyan premier of 2012. I bought tickets from my school and went with several of my friends (of course I was the only single guy among my group). I was very skeptical of this movie for it challenges the highly blown out for proportion myth of the 2012 doomsday theory, which the Mayans have seemingly predicted (though the calender ends in 2012, it does not mean that the world as we know it will end). I was expecting a total dissapointment like GINO or the corny teenage love story as in The Day After Tomorrow, but 2012 has somehow redeemed the director in my eyes. 2012 was an action packed adventure that had me at the edge of my seat through the entire movie!

I won't reveal much about the story except for that Woodie Harrilson's small but major role was perhaps my favorite character in the film. Also John Cusack and Amanda Peet were also great as their characters though I feel that their chemistry on screen was not the best pair-up, but at least it was tolerable nonetheless. Danny Glover as the US President gave a totally obvious nod towards President Obama and my favorite quote........"It's Russian!"

Don't get it? Just watch the movie tomorrow

I tell you guys, it may not be the best movie out there, but I feel that it ranks to one of my favorite sci-fi movies ever. Of course others may have other opinions, but this blows any other doomsday movie out of the sand!!!! To sum it up it's like watching Sunshine, The Day After Tomorrow, The Sinking of Japan, Deep Impact and Poseidon all wrapped up in one juicy dish.

As for my GUARDIANS Animated Music Video, I have indeed switched the song to something better. I switched to Pillar's Frontline from their album Where Do We Go From Here. It's a song that gave to me a year ago for an older music video project for school, which didn't go well, but now I will be able to use it for Guardians.

Since I am making Guardians in an animated music video, I predict that it'll release sometime next year.

Olragon Revamped Part 2 will be uploaded sometime later today or tomorrow and the image will feature Uruzan, Koru and Fiery (FINALLY!!!). Also I am going to rewrite Part 1 into something that involves Olragon and Saberoth a lot more than what was given.

As for GUARDIANS things are still going smooth and I have finally chosen a song for this video...Bring Me To Life by Evanescence. It may not be the most recent song out there, but it fits to the tone and theme of the given story. I have to admit, this song was not my first choice, but it grew on me after several people commented on how much it did fit with the story.

For the OLRAGON movie, I have decided to animate it rather than shoot it live action because animation gives me much more freedom in creativity than live action does. The movie will in fact now be an adaptation of the novel, but will include MUCH more including new characters accompanying our protagonist, a much more descriptive history of Olragon and a new fleshed out climax and ending battle. I am also going to introduce a new problem for the character David Harris to face as well as dealing with the loss of his parents...but that'll be revealled later on. At the moment the first draft of the screenplay is in the works, written up by and I. I plan the animation for this project to be much more detailed than GUARDIANS and test out new techniques.

Remember when I mentioned that I would be planning on doing a comic called Olragon Generations a couple of weeks ago? Well SCRATCH that because I am moving onto something new.....and BIGGER than the comic.

After watching Chris Elchesyn's GODZILLA X THE KAIJU KILLER on Youtube, it really brought back old memories of when I first stumbled upon the project and wanted to make a Godzilla fan film of my own....of course that never fully played out because I was too young at the time. Now however I feel I am ready....except I won't be making a Godzilla fan film....I intend to make an Olragon movie.

Hexadorah: Art wise this is the best of the group. The lines are crisp and the anatomy is well defined with vibrant colors and tones that reflect a mostly three dimensional nature. Most of the art elements are there to a good degree and it's sensible. The design I feel though is lacking in creativity and kaijuness. Hexadorah looks very much like a draconic Destoroyah from the yellow central horn to the shoulder spines to even the yellow diamond core to the pincer tail tip and the bat wings. All features that Destoroyah had in its final form but with crab/Godzilla anatomy. It also appears to be rather fragile. Built for speed and agility rather than close quarter combat. This is not necessarily a bad thing but a body with a little less obvious lanky, human proportions would have suited the design better I think. It's stats are present and rather sensical but its powers very much reflect its Destoroyahness with the laser beam horn and standard breath weapon. It also has a weakness to cold for crying out loud. There is really just too much Destoroyah in this kaiju. Its origins are pretty basic. Advanced alien race creates guardian, guardian goes berserk, aliens ship guardian into the depths of space, guardian finds its way to earth and creates chaos. No overall reason for why it went nuts, it just did. Not a lot of depth there, it does feel rather rushed. Knowing what she submited to my contest, I can say that she could have done much better concept and story wise.

Karga: Despite the lower skill level, this quirky kaiju is a fun and amusing creation. Its like an Ultra universe version of Kiryu without the angst. It doesn't have blatant ability or features swapped from Kiryu however and is simply a solid example of the cyborg/mecha therapod archetype. It's colors mesh rather well and its face is very dynamic. It is rather obvious though that the art is at a lower level than most of the competition and could definitely use more balanced proportions and smoother line quality. Being a Mecha/cyborg, smooth and crisp lines are important to give that mechanical feel without it looking like a mangled mess. This artist needs more fundamental shape and anatomy practice. Aside from that, its a good concept. Stats are all accounted for though I do wonder why something that tall is that light compared to its predecessors. It has a good assortment of high tech weaponry, the machine gun in the mouth is a nice surprise and a unique part of the creature's character. Its origin is simple but very effective. It opens up many possibilities for plot developement. The answers to why the creature landed dead on arrival and inner dramas of piloting a cyborg as well as what they decide to do with it are all good plot points. There is plenty of diverse options for how to use Karga and I think thats a major selling point with this monster. Stating the creature's cables and tubes as a weak point is a genre savvy point, as is the fact that its armor could melt. Though it doesn't stat directly how Olragon could have come into the picture, the fact thats its a weapon of humanity for somebody means that conflict is probably inevitable. Overall, a good entry.

Also I have details about the release for GUARDIANS. I'll upload to Youtube and Facebook, though from what Youtube has become in the last year or so, I don't think GUARDIANS would last since I am going ahead and using music from Steve Jablonsky. Thank god for Facebook, at least they don't take down videos using other soundtracks for non-profit videos. I am expecting a late 2010 release or early 2011 release. More details will be announced when available.

Right now it is merely an idea, but one which I am seriously going to consider...

Olragon Generations is the title of a new comic series idea that I have concieved after learning that my good friend is writing a story called Darkmoon that may be considered for a series by Dark Horse Comis. What I had in mind was writing and illustrating a story in a similar fashion as Matt Frank's Godzilla Neo: merging elements from all three series (Animation, Novel and Art) into one continuity. If I go with this it means I will be sacrificing writing OLRAGON INVASION OF THE ZEONIANS, but if I do, I guarantee that it'll be worth it.

I have been tossing around a few ideas for OG and here are some notes that I took:

-Characters from the novel series such as David Harris, Veronica Miller and others will take part in OG as well as characters from the Olragon Revamped art series
-Global Enterprises will be a major technological and weapons organization producing weaponry for AMMO (the worldwide joint organization in Olragon Revamped) to utilize in battling kaiju
-Olragon's origin will be of that in Olragon Revamped
-Kaiju will be based on their Revamped designs

So far that is what I got, but it is an attempt to merge elements of both novel, animated and art series into one comic. I hope to have my friend (writer of Darkmoon) to help me out with the story for Olragon Generations since I am helping him out by illustrating a cover for him and he is a HELL of a writer XD

I realize that this change of plans will not be everyone's "cup of tea" but give it time. Most likely I will be going along with this project and will be a long term project much like my animation GUARDIANS. Comments are welcome.

Anyways I have several more updates on the Olragon Revamped storyline. Despite what I said before that Quezon not being part of Olragon Revamped, I decided to add it in but it will be presented in a much different way than in OAS or any other description I did of it. Also Ar 'Loh/Shensan will not be included in the kaiju section of the series. He'll be added along with the human characters and I have made his design the OFFICIAL Zeonian body design (Shensan is a typical male while females have a more humanoid feminine posture)but will include several changes for Revamped.

Also I have decided to make all monsters back to their original sizes of 50 meters or more because while writing the story for the characters I discovered that I never included anything about Olragon climbing buildings or being stealthy at all so I might as well return him to his original size of 50 meters. Anyways expect to see a new Olragon Revamped teaser this coming week and the beginning of the art series on Halloween with weekly design uploads

SECONDLY, the story for Olragon Revamped has been updated to include a new beastie (I may have mentioned this before) called Saberoth on behest of my friend Hedgehogfever42 since Olragon was my monster, he wanted his own monster as well and he clearly stated that he wanted it to be a "feline" hence the name Saberoth....clearly something to do with a kaiju saber toothed cat....I'll say this now, he'll have an Anguirus-like role in the series.

THIRDLY, I will be going back to the individual basic design layouts now instead of the scenic illustrations I have mentioned a couple weeks ago. I want to upload these designs on a weekly schedule and I want to do something which is managable considering my current situation with the VERY tense senior year of High School....PLEASE I REALLY WANT IT TO END lol XD

it's been a while since I have updated on this. Sorry that a trailer has not yet come out. Again, it is all because of school. However I do intend to release a trailer between now and the end of December, just be patient with me Also I have decided to add three more kaiju.....Icese, Terrator and Inferno. They'll be acting as Xenius' minions in the movie and engage in a three way battle with Olragon which I am quite excited to animate! I also intend to go with a anime/cartoony animation style with DSG as well as use the designs from Olragon Revamped for Olragon and the elemental demons. More on that later on when I will ultimately post concept designs up

With OLRAGON now out and recieving generally good reviews, I have been planning the sequel. I've been tossing around ideas for a few months for the sequel now and I think I finally nailed a perfect idea branching the first and second novels together. All the critique recieved by those who were great enough to review will be taken into consideration when it comes to writing. This time around I am going to have my novel peer edited by close friends of mine who know their literary skills XD.

All I can reveal now is Olragon's past will be revealled, David and Veronica are dating again, and a range of new characters will make their debut such as new SOUL members Andrew Larson, Rick Savage and Phil Ventura who are all based on friends of mine right now Also the climax of the story will take place in a location familiar to ALL daikaiju fans out there!

There has also been some consideration for the Final Cover of OLRAGON: INVASION OF THE ZEONIANS to be illustrated once again by Kaijusamurai......but that's something to discuss later down the line when things are more official

So anyways here is a bit more of what you need to know for my upcoming art series "Olragon Revamped" when I first announced the idea I knew that I wanted to do something completely different than before and stray away from the style of OAS.

This time, I am intending to do the art series by illustrating a specific scene (much like my Olragon Visual Timeline idea awhile back) that relates to the story chronologically. I don't want to do the traditional design submission anymore, what I want is to portray a scene utilizing the new designs. By using this style and technique I can portray both monster and human characters equally throughout Olragon Revamped and enhance the story as well.

The art series will be uploaded by "Chapters" with a section of the story and an image based on an event in the story. All kaiju and human designs will be portrayed throughout the series equally. Anyways below is the table of contents for the upcoming series and what to expect.

Yay, just four more days till the release of OLRAGON my novel based on the events in my first animation The Discontent Summer (2007). Hopefully before then would finish the cover art so I can have it with the novel when released.

Anyways since the release of OLRAGON draws nearer, I would like to take a moment and reveal some new details about the sequel.

The title of the sequel will be OLRAGON: INVASION OF THE ZEONIANS and the events in the novel will begin a few months after the events in OLRAGON (2009). Since the last time I updated the sequel, I made some changes along with some friends who were reading the story treatment and character information. So to make things easier on my part I changed a few things:

-In both novels Maxwell Ferguson's name will be changed to David Harris and from OIOZ will be based on myself once again (Marlow Lasen is out from the novel)....this was a last minute change because friends who read and edited the novel said they did not feel Max Ferguson was a catchy name and since the character was based off of myself, they wanted something closer to my name. This art contest will be related to my upcoming art series OLRAGON REVAMPED set to start on October 31st this year.

RULES:
For the Olragon Revamped Art Contest the rules are that you must create A BRAND NEW KAIJU OR MECH. There also must be a backstory and stats included with your entry or else I will NOT accept it until you make one. Also I really want to look for creativity here so let your mind soar and unleash whatever design that you want, but please avoid copying others and IT MUST BE IN COLOR. Also I don't want any kaiju origins that are similar or exactly the same as Olragon, I want you to come up with an original backstory as well as how Olragon comes into the story in your kaiju/mech's history. As a reminder, everyone is only allowed ONE entry and the creation HAS TO BE NEW, you cannot submit an already existing kaiju you have made prior to this contest.

Once you have your entry completed send it to me via NOTE. I don't want my journal comments piling up with entries so Note form is appreciated

So to go over it again the major essentials of an entry are:

Monster/Mech Design
Kaiju Stats (Height, Weight, Abilities, Weakness)
Backstory/Origin

DEADLINE:
The Deadline for this contest is OCTOBER 20, 2009. This gives us a good ten days or less to decide the winner and results will be announced on he 31st, the same day that Olragon Revamped begins.

JUDGING:
Yes, unlike my previous contests, I will be searching out judges for this contest to aid me in choosing 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. In the past I felt that I was not entirely fair because I was doing the result process on my own and I was not that "smart" on what to look for in a design in the past. However what I won't do is critically judge entered designs such as what happened in the previous ULTRAMAN DESIGN CONTEST.

PRIZE:
Now onto the sweet part. Prizes for the Olragon Revamped Art Contest are all art related and they range from 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place. Anyways here is what the prizes will be:

1st Place Prize:
-Colored Image of the winning kaiju battling Olragon or any kaiju in Olragon Revamped
-Inclusion of winning kaiju in the Olragon Revamped Art Series

2nd Place Prize:

First off, I am going to take some inspiration from and make most of the monsters in Olragon Revamped a reasonable size of between 20-40 meters. Why? In this timeline I want Olragon as well as other monsters to be more interactive with the human characters. I feel that in most giant monster movies, human interaction with the monsters is very limited so I would like to improve that with the size change. In this series Olragon does tend to interact with humans a lot. There are a few monsters who will size up in the 50-70 meter range, but we'll save that for much later

Also for fun I put together somewhat of a "fan album" for Olragon Revamped consisting with songs that I think fit with the series' story. Below are the song choices:

-New Divide by Linkin Park
-Indestructable by Disturbed
-Tomorrow by SR-71
-Frontline by Pillar
-Into the Fire by Disturbed

There will be more, but these are most of the choices I made. Of course I won't really release an album online for that would be "copyright infringement" on my part, but it is more for you guys to listen to while reading the character stories if you do that


Also it's been a while since I last updated on THE DISCONTENT SUMMER: GUARDIANS. Since the last time I updated I have made new improvements to the story. They include:

-Human characters will now once again be heavily involved
-Story will be expanded more to an actual movie
-Despite the animation in the upcoming teaser trailer, new animation will still be made in a new style to replace it
-The movie's release is still unknown, but I'm pushing for late 2011 or early 2012 (sorry for the long wait, but again I am taking my time on this one.)
-Divian's presence will only be in flashbacks back to ancient Quezon, she will not take any part in Olragon's battle with Xenius in the present

As for the humans, I am using the same characters as in the novel series: Maxwell Ferguson, Veronica Miller, Marlow Lasen and Meghan Summers. In DSG, SOUL will already be established and a known monster chasing team.

Anyways that is all for now and just 12 more days to go before OLRAGON releases

BTW: The short novels in between will be saved to close when OLRAGON 2 (not actual title) releases as a build up. The Olragon Revamped art series will replace the stories for now.

Olragon Revamped is my attempt to "recreate" Olragon. Of course many of you like the way he is now, but I like testing the character out in new stories and situations. In this case, unlike the animated and novel series, Olragon Revamped will take a much darker story that unfolds into an apacolyptic nightmare. Of course the story begins around this time where the world is noticing its problems with war, disease, economy, politics and so on, and so on.

The human characters in Olragon Revamped are already adults in their 20's and 30's unlike in the novel series. The main character is Allison Peters a young women with high hopes for her future as a member of the United States Coast Guard, but her life takes a sudden turn when her home town of Oceanside, California is destroyed by a giant monster rampage killing off all her friends and known family. The next character is Dr. David Wilson a paleobiologist working for the USAF's top secret group AMMO or the Anti Monster Movement Organization, which has been studying these creatures in secret for many years, even before mankind has realized their existence among them in case that they ever do attack.

There are other secondary characters in this series named:
-Colonol James Rudolph: head of AMMO
-Dean Sykes: Project Head for Operation Titan
-Christina Gates: AMMO Agent and eventual best friend to Allison Peters

and more...

In this timeline, Olragon's origins have been changed. Quezon does not exist in this timeline and mankind has "never" acquired or developed technology based on genetic engineering....that only leaves one explanation: aliens. A race of aliens crash landed on Earth a few thousand years ago (FYI, from the same race as Ar'Loh) and to protect themselves from their enemies (for they were and still are in and intergalactic war), they developed Guardians based on the genetic structure of living creatures on Earth as well as using their energy stones that power their ship to give them ultimate power. Three Guardians were produced: Koru, Fiery and Olragon (BTW Koru was created seperately from Olragon and Fiery so the latter two are still indeed brother and sister)
However in some event that I will not reveal right now , the Guardians were dispersed and the alien ship ultimately destroyed leaving no evidence of their existence on Earth. Over the millennia, Olragon survived by going into a state of suspended animation, frozen in the Greenland Arctic Ice till such a time that he should return.

This series as mentioned before will include Titan, Ar'Loh, Mirma, Koru, Fiery, Icese, Terrator, Inferno, and Collossus. All their stories intertwine with the events in Olragon Revamped making a smooth understandable continuity with a few twists here and there.

Overall to give you a feel of the story's mood, just imagine Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, GMK, and Reign of Fire rolled into one.

Expect to see the start of Olragon Revamped on October 31st of this year!

Since I hardly follow a full art series I felt just doing a 'limited' one would be better for me. The story for this art series will be completely seperate from OAS, DS, and the OLRAVERSE. It'll focus more on a post-apocalyptic world where monsters have driven humanity to the edge until a small group of explorers in the arctic discover Olragon in the thawing ice. Olragon's origins in this series will also be changed, but not to the very extent. Basically Quezon is the only thing taken out of this timeline. Anyways I plan to start this art series on Halloween this year with Olragon who will sport a nice revamped design....from early sketches I was very pleased of his new energy sword design

-Maxwell Ferguson and Veronica Miller will not be the main characters. They'll be secondary characters since we're following a new couple Marlow Lasen (Hmm, that name rhymes with somthing...) a young Crypto-Zoologist who joins Max's team SOUL and Meghan Summers (Who also is in OLRAGON as Veronica's best friend)who try to untwist Olragon's complicated history and explore deeper into his origins. In the meantime Max and Veronica will be dealing with a new problem...

-Marlow Lasen's character will heavily be based on myself (Originally Max's character was to be based on me, but when writing OLRAGON, his personality strayed too far from my own and made him way too emo, so with the help of a good friend of mine, we came up with Marlow Lasen for the sequel)

-Aliens......nuff said

-Characters such as Jennifer Thomson (Max's Ex-girlfriend and daughter of Global Enterprises Director Michael Thomson) and her father will have larger roles.

-Titan will not be in this story (only mentioned).....but Justice will!

-The writing style will be improved since I recently have been reading various novels for examples of writing techniques

-There will be an aspect in the story that is heavily inspired by one of my favorite Transformers Revenge of the Fallen scenes....I won't say what

-A certain someone returns....

Just as I am about to wrap up my 18th Birthday, my mom comes up rushing to my room as I was just working on my Birthday Special Image and says that there is a fire nextdoor and prepare to leave the house in case it got worse. To prepare, I shut down my laptop and put it away in my safe along with all my other irreplacables and went outside where two of my friends where already standing. When I got out there, I saw a lot of smoke from our nextdoor townhouse. Meanwhile in the back, my dad and a neighbor broke through the back window since no one was living there to put out the fire. I then went back there to help out and supply fire extinguishers to my dad and our neighbor. I came back out front coughing from the smoke and soon learned that it was a chemical fire caused by spontaneous combustion. My friend as the comedian he is said to me, "I don't mean to sound so bad right now, but I really want to light a ciggerette." That did give me a cheap laugh, but suddenly here is what turned my smile to a frown....

From all this time that my dad, neighbor and I were stopping this fire, the guards at our housing complex did absolutely nothing! I among others were seriously outraged from their lack of aid. They did not even call the fire department or react immediatly to the smoke alarm (We live close to the entrance, hence where the guard house is). So WTF???? I don't know whether they weren't probably trained for this scenario or that they thought we had full control of the situation or god knows what. Bottom line, they should have HELPED OUT immediatly and not put my father's, neighbor's or my life at risk. At least the right people are going to look into this incident further and either properly train the guards, supervise the contractors who are doing the interior construction nextdoor or....not so likely however, but find new guards. I for one am completely PISSED OFF about this, I'm still coughing my brains out from the smoke, which contains chemicals of god knows what!

However on the brighter side, no one was injured and I have a neat birthday story to tell tomorrow.

However I don't plan to have a big celebration today, just a small evening with the family. However as a gift, my parents got me the Entire 10 Seasons of Friends. They told me I'm getting to that age where I'll be having friends like that hahaha. I also got $70.00 from my grandparents and my aunt so I'm still debating what to use it on. Soon after, I will begin learning how to drive (I would've done so earlier, except the driving age here in Kenya is 18), but I'll still stay away from drugs and alcohol lol and next year, I'll be getting my first car in Guam because that's where I'll be going to college. Ah, for the first time for me, a birthday seems so life-changing in a way. I didn't feel much at 16, but 18, there is something there, a sense of maturity it seems....well at least in my perspective. I'll be uploading a Birthday Special piece next weekend, but I won't tell you what it is, it's a secret

Anyways, I've been back at school since last Wednesday and I have a feeling that I am going to LOVE senior year. I'm enjoying my classes, especially Drama and Web Design. This year I'll be joining some neat after school clubs such as the Anime Club and a Cartoon Club that my friend is starting (If our principle approves though). I'll be helping out by teaching animation to students who join, and that's where I'll spend my time working on DSG as well. Also I plan to help out with my school's musical this year, which is Sweeney Todd, one of my all time favorites. I may act in the musical, or help out backstage, it doesn't matter, but all my time goes into my Community Service hours, which I do plan to finish this semester rather than next semester, which I stupidly did last year hahaha. After graduation next May I will hopefully head to the coast (Mombasa) with some of my friends for one last hurrah before college! So I can't wait

I don't know about you guys, but this year, I bet it's going to be a good year!

What prompted me to this? Well I've been asked by multiple people who saw the animations about the story. Of course it's a long story and I have no patience to sit and tell the entire thing, so I thought making a video, which people can view to learn about him would be a better alternative. The video will look at the very beginnings of Olragon in late 2006 and early 2007 and onwards. Also I will be including the differences beteween the various kaijuverses that include Olragon such as the OLRAVERSE (novel series), Advanced Series (art series) and the GUARDIVERSE (new name for animated series kaijuverse). Also brief information on the sequel to the OLRAGON novel will be briefly mentioned. I hope to finish this by September around the same time as the release of OLRAGON and the DSG Teaser Trailer.

As you can see from the clip, I will indeed be adding other effects to help enhance Xenius' weather control abilities and also alter the lighting giving a scene a certain mood to it.

Also before I get to the plot and everything I feel that The Discontent Summer 3 deserves a better title than the one it has for it is the official start to the series' story arc. Hence it shall be known as The Discontent Summer: Guardians but officially known as GUARDIANS hereon after DSG for obvious reasons Anyways now to the plot info!

This "episode" after the main title scene will start with a recap of the events prior to GUARDIANS such as the downfall of Quezon and Olragon's generations in stasis under the Indian Ocean (you're gonna' love this one), then his awakening due to the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, his battle with Mirma in Kuala Lumpur (events will be reanimated), and his battle with the not 1, but 3 Monstruo Del Tierras at the base of the Giza Pyramids in Egypt (also reanimated of course) while in the meantime one of the characters does a narration (I won't tell you what about though).

For this animation, I decided to take out the main human characters since I figured when writing the script that they just "get in the way too much" so all dialogue interaction will just be between the monsters themselves telepathically throughout the series, which is a more original turn for kaiju in my personal opinion. As for the characters featured, here's a list of details about them:

Olragon:
He is the Guardian of Quezon...or was after it's destruction. For thousands of years he remained in a state of stasis below the Indian Ocean until the year 2004 when he was awakened by a collossal suboceanic earthquake. For the next few years, he remained hidden in the ocean's deaths, but oftenly came to the surface for air in which sailors and fishermen would report stories of a sea dragon that were often brushed aside by the media. However in 2007 when an alien pod crashed in northern Malaysia, the creature arose from the depths and intercepted the alien foe within it. The battle carried out in the capital of Kuala Lumpur where Olragon managed to defeat him. It wasn't till after that battle when the creature's true origins were discovered in ancient ruins found in Sumatra. His name was also discovered. Olragon hereon however still was seen as a potential threat to mankind and was pursued by a newly formed UN Task force called International Defense (Sorry no Global Enterprises in this kaijuverse). A year later however in Egypt, three mutant creatures created by a top secret terrorist organisation attacked the Giza Pyramid complex to harvest their riches within, but were intercepted by International Defense, but when their forces depleted, Olragon came to the rescue and slayed the mindless brutes using his duel energy blades. From that day on, the United Nations felt that instead of hunting Olragon, monitoring him seemed the best solution for that he hasn't intentionally brought harm to the human race.
In GUARDIANS, Olragon while still young has gained wisdom from experience and takes a role as "top dog" among his fellow Guardians. In a way, his character was quite inspired by (my favorite of wise characters) Optimus Prime for he does show great care for life will fight to the death to protect it.

Xenius:
Xenius along with his sister Divian were two of Quezon's most powerful guardians at the time (before Olragon) and were also successful creations by their scientists for they are the first ever genetically engineered guardians using an artificial version of the Guardians' Stone (with some help of course). However as time went on, Xenius became more thirsty for power, which eventually led to his desire for the guardians to become superior than the humans they serve. Xenius then betrayed Quezon and began using his weather control abilities against it. However Divian who still remains loyal to the humans reluctantly battles her brother in an epic battle ending with Xenius being imprisoned in a deep underground tomb beneath Quezon. Divian since then became the master of a young Olragon and taught him how to fight and the means to protect life. But what the two did not realize this is that like Divian, Xenius too had an apprentice...
Xenius in GUARDIANS would play an apocalyptic role as well as an insane one too for he has been driven mad with power. In the animation I will be doing the voices for Olragon and Xenius for I have come up with the perfect tone for both of them. For now, I won't reveal more on his character.

In the coming week I hope to start uploading character and kaiju designs (done in Flash to get you guys to feel the vibe of the designs). I plan to upload Olragon first. His design will remain the same, but with a few minor changes such as battle damage on his fins and battle scars. Unlike in the OLRAVERSE, Olragon in the DS-kaijuverse will retain his ability to fly via his bio-jet propulsion, but unlike in the first two animations, there won't be fire coming from the jets, instead Olragon will use an anti-gravity force to propel himself (plus animating the fire is a pain, especially when the character is moving....that's why I kind of slacked a bit in DS2 with it). To keep with this somewhat same/different continuity, I will have a flash-back scene at the beginning recapping the events in DS1 (Where he fought Mirma in Kuala Lumpur) and DS2. However for the DS2 Flashback, I plan to alter it and make Olragon fight a pack of these beasties as I had originally planned (but due to lack of time I reduced it to one.)

Xenius will be only minorly revamped compared to Monsturra-Jake's original design, the colors will stay the same as well as the body iteself, but I will be enlarging the fins a bit as well as designing the legs in a way if Xenius was on land he could battle with ease, but in flight fold together with each foot opening as a jet (this can be seen in the original design). I was thinking of a leg design similar to the DRAGMAs from Godzilla The Series for they're the closest kaiju I know that walk on three legs...kinda.

Divian will remain almost completely the same except that she'll be slimmed down a bit so she looks like an adept runner. Besides being a healer I feel that Divian should also be quick on her feet. But otherwise she remains the same.

The human characters will be revealled later on, but I plan to have the male lead look like me for that I plan to voice the character. The female lead's voice cast has not been decided yet, but in time I bet I'll find someone who'll agree to help. Speaking of voices, this idea has been bouncing around my head like a ping-pong ball for a while, I was thinking of having the monsters communicate with each other and anyone possessing the guardians' stone telepathically. I got the idea after watching Ultraman: The Next a while back and I liked how "The One" was able to speak telepathically to humans (well technically the man who transforms into Ultraman), but same difference eh? In my opinion it's an interesting twist on Olragon's character and one I should reveal now than later so people aren't like "WTF? How are they talking?".

So why these two? Well for the most part their backstory intrigued me that I basically HAD to put them in, secondly the role Xenius will play will greatly influence the story of DS3 and more after. Plus since Xenius can control the weather in its surrounding area it'll be interesting in how the final battle will turn out I can certainly say it'll be much more epic than both DS and DS2 combined....that's my ultimate goal for the climax!

I'm also thinking of introducing a human character or two into the story just for the story's sake. What I was thinking is adding a male and female lead. Two teenagers (of course) who had nothing to do with one another in the beginning come together to realize their destinies. For DS3, along with the science fiction aspect of the story, I want to include a fantasy one as well, which you'll see more of when DS3 is finally released. Don't think I was going to tell you now

Like before, Olragon Adventures will be following certain life events that I have faced....in essence, Olragon portrays me. In the next issue titled "The Adventure Begins" is the start of a new series of events for Olragon. New characters will be introduced to represent friends of mine. Characters like Mirma, Tito and Fiery will no longer appear in the future issues...I apologize for that.

There will be two seasons of the comic so far, which are based on my life experiences in Malaysia and currently Kenya. My friend actually inspired me to do this after hearing that he's making a comic based on his life as well (and I'm also in it XD) so it prompted me to make Olragon Adventures somewhat similar by fusing fiction with real events.

Each season will be based on a certain event in my life and since I am always moving and meeting new people I thought that would be an interesting concept. In Season 1 we start in Asia where Olragon starts off as a shy young kaiju, but eventually gets a grasp on his new environment and begins to learn all sorts of life lessons such as relationships, authority and just what teenagers go through everyday. Since I have experienced a lot when I was living in Malaysia, I intend to fuse my life lessons into the comic. Also my friends there are such characters themselves so it'll be interesting to see the outcome of this project.

Since this is a web comic this will no way interfere with my progress on DS3 or OLRAGON. Olragon Adventures will be my project in between OLRAGON and its sequel. So soon after OLRAGON's release expect to see "Olragon Adventures: The Adventure Begins" in September

Anyways for DS3 like with my other animations I used tracks from GFW and Koh Ohtani's scores from the Gamera films, but this time around I plan to mix together some of Steve Jablonsky's stuff from the Transformers movies (You have to admit, it's good action/battle music)for I plan more swift and improved battle scenes. However since Youtube is becoming more strict with what you put in your videos (soundtrack especially....those idiots) I will be uploading it here to DA instead to avoid Youtube from muting my video. FYI, I will also upload the first two as well. I just haven't got to the point where I am able to create my own original soundtracks for my videos.

Also as a side note, I will be also unveilling the new NumbSKULL Pictures logo in September's DS3 Teaser. Done in the improved animation style that you expect to see in DS3 and foward However speaking of the trailer, some of the animation will be made purely for advertisement purposes and won't be featured in the final product, however that may somewhat change depending on how it'll look in the end.

The title of the second novel however will not be revealled until OLRAGON is released in September, but will be released later next year. At the moment I am nearly complete with editing the novel. On an A5 sized paper the novel is around 46 pages long. Short I know, but I never intended a heavy read for OLRAGON with a total of nine chapters plus a prologue and epilogue. I did not include Olragon's past in Quezon to this novel however. This is because I wanted to leave a bit of mystery in the series to be revealled slowly in the next two novels.

I am planning a PDF Download of OLRAGON for which you can print the novel freely on A5 sized paper. I may publish limited copies of the novel, but merely as gifts to a couple of my close friends who aided me owe special thanks in the project. I may also use a copy as an art contest prize for 1st place in the near future...believe me I have an idea of one cooking

Anyways, I apologize once again for the long art hiatus. Work is very busy since we have this huge thing coming up and need everyone to help out. Also once I am done with my summer job, school starts immediatly, which is a bummer for I wanted more time off before then.

First off, go to 's page to see a black and white version of the cover to OLRAGON if anyone hasn't seen it yet. The colored version is to come soon, and I am really looking foward to seeing it

Anyways, by now most of you must've heard that OLRAGON is now a novel and no longer a comic (unfortunately). As of now, I am rewriting the script into a novel. I plan to re-edit parts of the story as well including filling in discovered plot holes, and taking out useless characters (used as poor comedy relief). The rewrite would also include a Prologue, which is the new history behind Olragon (the one replacing Return of a Guardian-Part 1) as well as the Indian Ocean incident where Olragon defended Max's parents' research vessel THE SOUL EXPLORER from Somali Pirates (FYI, that part was inspired by a part in the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen prequel comic where Ironhide scared off a band of somali pirates on a navy ship heading to Diego Garcia). The ending also will be enhanced to set up the events in the next novel, but obviously I will not reveal anything of that!

Speaking of next events, though I have revealed it as a comment on Rendragonclaw's "Arlo's Lament" piece, the Ar' Lo universe and the Olragon universe are the same. Both creatures exist on Earth at the same time, but as in the Godzilla series, Ar' Lo will get his own story before integrating into the Olragon series.....leaves you wondering doesn't it?

Well it seems things for OLRAGON are not looking as good as I had hoped for I am so busy at my summer job and I expect school to be no different when I start in August so out of a really, and I mean really hard decision I decided to not make OLRAGON as a comic. Instead it would be a novel. I apologize for the inconvenience and I do hate making these changes as well, BELIEVE ME. However the novel idea has always been a "Plan B" in case the comic never worked out and unexpectedly it did. So I will be rewriting the comic script into a novel, which would be released by September. Perhaps if the novel is well written and edited, I may consider printing copies at a local publisher to sell for a reasonable price via Paypal. The cover will be the one Kaijusamurai is still working on.

Again I really apologize for this from the heart and I don't blame anyone for being upset at me. I know these things happen all the time with me and it sucks BIG TIME. However the bright side on my part is that the idea IS NOT dead and I am making it up by having the early release date.

First off, I apologize that there has not been any art since I got back from vacation. I sent my tablet back home through the mail when I was still in the states and it's taking too damn long to get here, but hopefully it get's here this week though. However even when I do get it back, it looks like I'll be on an art hiatus till August because I am SOOOOOOooooooooo busy at my summer job that when I come home I can't do shit. I beg you all to be patient for I can't tolerate incompitents right now.....not that you guys are incompitent lol! It's just that I work an 8 and a half hour shift and I leave before 7 AM and get home at around 4:30 in the afternoon so yeah...very tiring indeed, but worth what I will be earning monthly (may not be much compared to the average everyday worker, but enough to put away in the bank for spending money during college on weekends).

Anyways, due to this hiatus, the schedule for the illustration of OLRAGON is a bit fudged and may affect the release date of the web comic (If affected, the date may have to be changed to Summer 2010 instead of the New Year release that I had been planning). DS3 on the other hand will be done on my own time so it basically doesn't matter when I start or finish, but personally I intend to get it done by 2011. I plan to also upload more digital art as well so keep your eyes open in August.

Well as you now know, since being inspired by some old friends of mine back in Malaysia who rewatched THE DISCONTENT SUMMER and THE DISCONTENT SUMMER 2 on YouTube, I have been planning ideas for the third installment in the DS Series. This time around, changes will be made that will have DS3 differ from that of the first two animations.

So far I have revealed that the animation will be more cartoonish and abstract to allow more ease in the animation process as well as giving the characters a distinctive look in the animations.....you'll see my point when I begin uploading character designs

Also with DS3 I intend to start a story arc, which would play out in future sequels since I intend to create more animations. I won't reveal much of the story right now, but since DS3 is basically going to be the TRUE start of the series I will be including a history flashback at the start beginning when Olragon was first born, to the destruction of Quezon, when he returns and fights Mirma and up to the end of the events in DS2. From there the actual story begins, which will be revealed later in bits and pieces up to the release.

If still confused on how the story is going to be told, the events will be shown without dialogue much to the fashion of Pixar's Shorts shown before any of their motion pictures. Olragon's character and development as with the other monsters/characters will be based upon their actions. An example of this would be that Olragon is a gentle creature when not in battle therefore he should be shown in a peaceful environment and have graceful movements while with an enemy they should be shown as terrifying and destructive.

As with the first two DS animations, I tested new techniques with them. With the first it was getting a hold on animation itself. With the second it was testing new effects and frame rate. Now with the third, I will be testing with color, frame size, movement of characters and angles. I will also be including techniques that I have learned in art class such as perspective especially with cities. I also want to try illustrating the monsters from low angles as well to emphisize their gigantic postures and have the audience believe that they are actually that size.

Location is another factor in the DS series. In DS the setting was Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia because that is where I lived at the time and I thought it would have been a kick to see a giant monster battle take place there and it certainly entertained my friends there to. In DS2 it was Egypt mainly because I didn't have enough time to illustrate a city background and foreground, if there was to be a city setting, it would have been the town of Kayenta, Arizona (where my aunt currently lives) because it is in the middle of a desert environment with the great rock formations around the area (monument valley isn't too far from there). I began animating DS2 with that in mind, but due to the shorter time I had compared with the first animation, I changed it to Egypt. Now with DS3, a number of locations have come to mind with one of them actually Machu Picchu, but since I want to have a story, I now want to locations to be relevant to the story itself. Like with everything else, that'll be revealled later on as well.

By next month, I will upload a poster for DS3 featuring Olragon, his rival and the new location and following that, I will upload character designs showing what abilities and poses each monster is capable of in the animation. In October (around Halloween) I plan to upload the first teaser trailer for the animation (whether it'll be a custom animated trailer or a trailer made of clips from the actual animation is still being determined).

While the animation based on my latest kaiju Ar' Lo is in the mix, I have been inspired to brainstorm ideas for THE DISCONTENT SUMMER 3 by some friends of mine after they rewatched the first two animations on YouTube. Since then, I have been thinking ideas for it such as:

-it'll be treated differently than the first two
-the animations will be a bit longer
-character development of the monsters will be included
-The animation style will be more cartoonish and abstract than the first two movies, allowing easier animation and illustration of characters
-no humans will be present as characters in the animation. It will focus mainly on Olragon himself
-an actual story will be introduced, which may branch into a mini series of animations to follow

I will not announce Olragon's next foe just yet, but THE DISCONTENT SUMMER 3 will indeed be made and production will take place on my own time therefore I am not sure when it'll be released. Soon after the release of DS3, the Ar' Lo animation will be made.

FYI I thought doing DS3 before Ar' Lo was a smarter choice to do since many people seem to favor Olragon over Ar' Lo. I plan to release a teaser later this year while a longer trailer will be released after my comic OLRAGON is posted online. Seeing my time schedule as of now, I hope to have DS3 done by late 2010 or early 2011.

Though I am sad that my vacation to the US wasn't very long, in a way I am kinda' glad to be home. I start my summer job on Tuesday, but before then I hope to post some new artwork including some battle images between Olragon and other kaiju (I haven't decided which one though) and maybe some Ar' Lo sketches as well as related monsters in the Ar' Lo kaijuverse, which may even evolve into an art series later on depending on how it goes.

Wow, it seems vacation was too quick for me...only three weeks long. Anyways I will be home on Thursday and I begin work at my summer job next Monday....I will be having a busy summer as well as putting my work on OLRAGON on top of that.

However despite my hectic schedule, I plan to take some time to play my newly purchased X-Box 360. Yeah, I finally got one as an early birthday gift along with the games Halo 3 (finally I get to play it), Fable 2 (loved the first one, curious to play this one), and Transformers Revenge of the Fallen: The Game. However those who have X-Box live don't bother asking me to play because of my piss-poor internet access in Kenya and the time differences. BTW, I can finally buy and watch BluRays now YAY!

Anyways I know this is a few days behind but my latest original kaiju Ar' Lo won 3rd Place in 's "What Giant Monster Are You?" contest and my prize is a black and white drawing of the kaiju by Rendragonclaw, so I am anticipating to see the drawing

Back to the point, before I return home on Thursday I'd like to run through the highlights of my trip:

-Seeing the movies Up and Transformers Revenge of The Fallen
-Go-Carting with my cousins in Philadelphia
-Jet Skiing and Water Tubing while staying at a lake house in Michigan
-Seeing one of my best friends from my previous school in Malaysia

Of course these highlights pale in comparision to last year's summer vacation where I went to Vegas, the Grand Canyon, Alaska, The Philippines, Guam, Canada and London. However I had a good time this summer and perhaps this is my last time visiting the US for two years because I'll be spending my summer next year in Malaysia and the Philippines before going to college in Guam, I plan to see my old friends and relatives while there so I anticipate that it'll be a hell of a time

Since I don't have much time for I am going out for dinner here is a run through of what is up...

-I'm planning a Robot Chicken-esque Youtube series focussing primarily on Transformers and Godzilla
-A new story plan has been completed for OLRAGON's sequel
-I am now working on Olragon Adventures Episode 4: Revenge (yes, obviously it has something to do with ROTF)

It's 12:55 AM here in Michigan and I just came back from seeing TRANSFORMERS REVENGE OF THE FALLEN.

My thoughts....I loved the movie and I am ignoring any negative review I come across. Why? 'Cause I came to see this film not for a complex storyline, but for the distinctive humor, action and special effects that Transformers has offered us. Don't get me wrong, the story in Revenge of the Fallen is indeed a great one; not the most original, but great. At least it offered us more insight of the Transformers mythology than in the first movie such as the Dynasty of Primes and the Matrix of Leadership. Anyways here is a list of aspects of the film that I loved.

-Charles Adler did justice for Starscream this time making him sound much like his animated G1 counterpart not only in personality but in his actual voice, kudos! STARSCREAM FTW!
-The political tension between the Autobots and the US Government gave the film a sense of reality...sorta'
-Leo Spitz though annoying was a great addition to the cast for he provided much of the comedy relief on the human side of the story.
-Rainn Wilson's character pretty much reminded me of Dwight from THE OFFICE
-Jetfire is totally BADASS!

Though I do have a certain question relating to Devastator, I won't say anything since some of you may not have seen the film yet. Anyways, my favorite scene is the one that takes place on the Decepticon ship The Nemesis where Megatron reunites with Starscream and The Fallen. This particular scene establishes the relationship among the three characters: Megatron's pissed at Starscream for leaving him to die, and Megatron is actually The Fallen's disciple. I am happy how this film really does focus on the Decepticons this time around for we did not see much of them in the first film.

Overall I LOVED this movie and I can't wait to get it on DVD!

Hello! I am now back in Washington DC (from Philadelphia) but I am returning to Philly in a couple of hours and I leave for Michigan tomorrow to see my cousin and her husband. Anyways I wanted to use this time to update a few things.

First off, I don't know how, but I managed to acquire the TRANSFORMERS REVENGE OF THE FALLEN: THE SCORE three days before its actual release (Whaaat Uuuup!). I definately like the score for this film more than the first actually. The theme for the NEST team is really awesome for it merges a bit of Linkin Park's New Divide into it. My favorite track is the Forrest Battle, it's really actioned packed and has that deep dark male chorus. I am happy that they also kept with the autobot theme from the first film, I hate when sequels create new themes, which sound nowhere as good as the original so kudos Steve Jablonsky. The Fallen's theme is really dark and eerie as well with a hint of Egyptian essence to it. If you're into movie scores, I recommend you get this...it has more to offer than the score for the first film.

Anyways as for the animation idea, I have made my decision....I know I haven't returned from vacation yet, but I need to say it......................It will not go through...at least for right now. I realized that I am not ready to retire Olragon just yet therefore a sequel comic will indeed be made. However the idea for the animation is not completely gone, I intend to do it later on, but I really need to finish the "Olragon Saga" before I could retire him and move onto a new original kaiju series. I apologize for thoughs anticipitating this idea to go through, but don't worry it'll still be made...but not right now.

As for OLRAGON I have commenced illustration. I have decided to illustrate the battle sequences first and the human story and character interactions afterwards....gotta illustrate the battles since they're designs are fresh in my head and I am still changing around some events with supporting characters (the story between Max and Veronica is set, it's just Jason's and a few others that I am tweaking around with).

I don't know when I will be able to update again, but next time I will be posting a TRANSFORMERS REVENGE OF THE FALLEN Movie Review and new details relating about OLRAGON.

Man it is great being back in my home country of the United States of America! The great food (Philly Cheesesteaks FTW), wonderful friends and family and night life (Oh I miss the night life!). So I am having soo much fun here. Right now I am in Washington DC visiting some friends and family. On Monday I will be returning to Delaware with my parents and grandparents then heading up to Philadelphia to visit friends and go to GENOS for somemore cheesesteaks Then my parents and I will head up to Michigan where I'll be staying with my cousin and her husband where we'll be seeing TRANSFORMERS REVENGE OF THE FALLEN and rent a cabin by the lake and go Jet Skiing!

So there is a lot more to come and I am very excited! I also splurged some spending money and bought some Transformers figures (Voyager Class Starscream and Optimus Prime, Deluxe Soundwave and Bumblebee and Robot Replicas Starscream). Why? Because since I am a fan I should at least have a few figures....I won't get overboard with it like I did with Godzilla and ended up with an entire collection. I just wanted a few figures to bring with me to college that's all but they're AWESOME!

Anyways as an update on OLRAGON, I will be digitally illustrating it instead of using the comic paper that I bought. I'll save the paper for another time, but I figured doing it digitally would be faster and I would be able to put in more detail into it. I am also announcing that OLRAGON will be released in several parts (three or four) so in between issues I can take short breaks and not stress myself out. Also, I am still waiting till early July to announce whether I will make or not make the animation based on my latest kaiju Ar' Lo (however by then, the name of the kaiju may change).

Yes, I am leaving tomorrow to go back to the states for vacation. I can't wait to see family and friends....also TF:ROTF, can't forget that! As mentioned several times before I will not be posting much artwork up throughout this month, but since I am brining my Wacom Drawing Tablet with me, I'll be working on some stuff in my free time.

Also I have decided that if I go forth with the Ar' Lo animation project, I will retire the Olragon series with just OLRAGON itself and nothing else...however after the release of OLRAGON next year I may actually let people just for fun write their own version of a sequel...perhaps for a contest, but more on that when OLRAGON is released. As for the animation, I will announce my decision of if I will do it or not when I return from the states.

The Olragon Timeline Series will now be a series of written stories because this summer I will have no time illustrating all of the battle scenes since I will be on vacation, working on OLRAGON, having a summer job and etc. I know it sucks, but please do not complain, I can't take the pressure XD also it's better than nothing. However throughout the year I will upload new monster designs (such as Fiery, Xenius, Divian and others) but not in a series, but in just casual artwork. I don't want to start an art series, because deadlines give me headaches, especially with series that aren't top priority.

Anyways that is it for now, I leave tomorrow evening and currently I am getting my things packed up so see you guys later!

Not completely official, but I was just doing some test animations for fun and I come to discover that animating my latest kaiju Ar' Lo is so much easier than animating Olragon since it is more humanoid in design and I have come to animate humanoids a lot better than complex kaiju such as Olragon himself. What does this mean? Well as you may have guessed from the title a possible animation idea has come up. Of course IF an animation idea goes forth, it won't be officially announced till after the release of OLRAGON. However the production of an Ar' Lo animation means that the OLRAGON SEQUEL will have to be cancelled till further notice, or at least uploaded as an online novel instead of a comic, which I may do to please everyone else. Again however, this is just an idea which MAY or MAY NOT go through so do not complain or rejoice just yet, let's see how I feel about it by the end of the year. I among some others see potential in this kaiju and personally I hope the animation idea does go through...it all depends on time for me, but if it does play out the quality put into it will certainly surpass that of THE DISCONTENT SUMMER animations.

More on this as it develops.

UPDATE:
The OFFICIAL announcement on the terms of the Ar' Lo animation will now be made this summer and whether OLRAGON will have a sequel or not.

Well folks here we are, summer! The time of the year when all the troubles of school can all just wash away and we can all enjoy time with friends and family wherever in the world they may be.

I'll be leaving to go back to the states for vacation this Saturday so don't expect any or much art from me till I get back at the end of the month. However I will post new episodes of Olragon Adventures though and update my journal with a review of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on the 24th (I can't wait!!!). On my vacation I will be travelling to see family and old friends at Delaware, Washington DC, Philidelphia, Michigan and Illinois (man I haven't been to Illionois in AGES!) so I feel it is going to be one hell of a trip (of course, nothing can beat last summer's grand adventure if any of you remember lol).

UPDATE:

When I return home from vacation, I plan to resume my artwork. I will mostly be doing pieces for the OLRAGON VISUAL TIMELINE SERIES (OVT for short) and start an art series revolving around Ar' Lo my latest original kaiju made for Rendragonclaw's contest. I may christen Ar' Lo under a new name after the contest, but for now the name stays. This art series will be in a seperate kaijuverse than Olragon.
