I completely fell on my butt walking down a hill too.. it's very slippery outside. And like a good college student I should be sleeping in, but I'm going to a rather early breakfast at 8:30 with some friends.

As Christmas break is coming up, I'd love to make/send anyone cards if they want... They might be a little late though. I have finals till next week Wednesday and after that I'll be home and cozy till January where I'll be at MCAD because of a very lovely scholarship I've acquired that makes it only a little more than where I'm at now. I'm really excited actually, and everything seems to going extremely well for me at the moment. I'd be glad to spread it around to everyone else too.

My latest work will be up after I get home... wish me and my friends luck this week!

7.) Made a photo documentary of the objects in the art building on campus with speech bubbles over them.

8.) (Accidentally) ran into a drill on the ground and got the bit stuck in my leg.

I'm printing a project tonight and after I get it all put together I'll put pictures up. We designed a book jacket in graphics 2, so points to whoever can guess which book I chose (no guessing if you know) HINT: it's a pretty famous book.

Starting new projects in Ceramics and to my disgust it's another sculpture. I really want to throw more pots, but instead we are doing a non-functional teapot thingy... I'll take pictures of the thing I just finished by the end of the week and have them up, it's just drying out now really.

YES! I now have a premium account for a while.. and an interesting skin for my journal that's simple and not too scary or anything. There isn't really that much good stuff to choose from, but at some point I'll make my own, right now I'm lazy and have other things to do so this will do for now.

So I was talking about a ceramic artist in my journal from yesterday, well he's really a designer from Austria named Jutta Sika, and he designed the pieces for a ceramic manufacturing company, but they are still awesome ^_^

I was in Chicago yesterday at the art museum for a field trip for a class. It was very pretty and there was lots of stuff to see... Like "Nighthawks", "American Gothic", lots of Monet and Van Gogh.. that Seurat painting everyone knows... I'm especially intrigued by some ceramic work from 1901 that was extremely modern and contemporary, almost unbelievable for the time period really. I'm working on finding more of this guy's work along with the glaze research I need to do for Monday. I don't think many people understand the amount of work that goes into ceramics. I know I didn't really comprehend it till I started talking classes, and now I just absolutely love it.

As far as school goes... I still hate it here, hehe. There's probly... 4 people I actually like, but for the most part it's just not really my crowd. It's hard to be in a place where no one knows what their priorities are. At least I know mine even if I don't always live up to them. From where you are from shouldn't dictate the work you do or your actions, that;s just ignorant and ridiculous.

I'm also still waiting for a letter to arrive.. hopefully it will be soon.

I found a four leaf clover yesterday. I am officially the luckiest person ever, and you are all now jealous of me, mwahaha! I've been looking for a four leaf clover since I was 3 years old... so I have completed one of my life goals and I'm very excited.

School is dull, and I can't be bothered to spend 4 weeks on a 3 day project... it's ridiculous... almost as ridiculous as the crap being produced by other students who can't be bothered to put forth a pinch of effort. Shame on them.

LUCKILY, I have other things to preoccupy my time, like posters, a cassette design, and a very large ceramics project that didn't die this weekend. Charlie was there mixing clay and he helped me flip it over so it didn't break. This thing weighs a ton, is over 18 inches in length, and terracotta. blah.

I'm pretty optimistic, well, at least for me this is optimistic. I usually have pretty bad luck, but I feeling pretty good about this. I've uploaded some of my classwork for over the course of the last year. I have 2 weeks left to finish a mixed media project, do 3 more required drawings for my portfolio, some digital paintings I want to do and pack my things for school. Yay for being busy...... whooo!

WELL! It got accepted into the Annual Juried Student Show at my university that was judged by metal smith David Clemons who, I must say, is a very talented man.

Needless to say I'm very excited. I don't believe very many freshman got into the show (as opposed to upperclassmen) but it's still an honor either way. The show opens today with a reception from 3-5 pm, with an awards ceremony at 4, and will be up till April 11th.

Soo.... yea. No one got seriously hurt, but I went to the hospital a few hours later and they did a CAT scan and found a hairline fracture somewhere on my back, nothing serious- it should heal itself. The truck I was driving is not as bad as the van I hit. They didn't go tot he hospital as far as I know, but I hope they don't sue me... then again if they do all I have is a $1000 in a checking account and that wouldn't get them a new car.... O.O

Bleh, finals next week. 3/5 are at 7:45 AM and the other 2 just randomly on a Monday. I wish my World of the Arts final was after my early Wednesday one, but no I have to wait till Friday to leave to go home for break. Tomorrow however, I'm driving up to Appleton to see my family, I don't think I've seen my sister in like a year.

Before that I have a paper to right, a take home English final which are due tonight and Monday so they come first. I have my final choice drawing for Drawing I for Wednesday, and My 2D flip book which is mostly done, for Tuesday.

Just this week we got heat in our room! It had been 58 degrees in here and the requirement by the state is 68, needless to say, we were cold. NOW the heater won't shut off, it says its 85 degrees in here but I've seen it at 90. We keep the windows open and the first night I slept on the floor cuz the heat was making me go insane.

AND I just found out when my spring registration for classes is which started on 11/3 and goes to 12/6.... I GOT 12/4!!! JUST 2 F-ING DAYS BEFORE OPEN ENROLLMENT! I'm going to be stuck with no options at all and not get any of the classes I want to take. It sucks cuz there already wasnt Graphic Design 1 when I went to pre-register for art studios..

I had planned on taking metals, 3d, and graphics... but metals was full for I had to take ceramics! I can't DO ceramics! Me and the potters wheel do not get along (tho it is fun)... I make the world's biggest messes ever.. it's like I'm 2 or something. One time I had clay all stuck to the wheel and covered my shirt, thighs and up to my elbows O.o

This is such a frustrating place.. I hate being a freshman again.. it super sucks..

ON the plus side... I finally convinced one of my friends who graduated with me to apply to college! (go me) She's applying to UWW so hopefully I can room with her and not be so lonely.. My room mates are dull and boring and I can't make much noise or talk to things like I always do. Plus I'm the really messy one, which makes me feel kinda bad. :c

I'm putting off my English paper... but I have tonight till 12PM tomorrow to work on it. It's not like it's hard or anything... just boring. At the very least I'm going to outline it tonight... Or I'll stay up late writing the damn thing then sleep in and proofread tomorrow before class.

AGI WAS F*ING AMAZING!! Anyone who didn't go missed out on something awesome. Some very important people talked to us and shared personal stories, work and experiences. It was fun. We also got a tote filled with books and "free" stuff. WE did some workshops and I got a sneak peek at CS4 which is also F*ING amazing ^________^ mwahahahaaa.... I can't wait!

The craft fair was awesome and I love Chicago!! I got to go to a record store and into the Threadless store. Unfortunately it was raining the whole time and my head was spinning cuz there was so much to look at. I've never been there before. Also.. I feel bad for anyone who's house got flood damage. None of Nick's relatives got anything to serious. Roads were closed from the water and construction... but traffic wasn't as horrible as I was expecting. Go to Chicago should be on everyone's to-do list. ^_^

meh.. I can't change my mood.. which isnt optimistic right now btw...

It's kinda annoying seeing the same people on the front page everyday... or worse yet the same pic for more than one. I even see the art from the popular section move to the print section after a few days just to receive more view and more completely worthless comments to the artist. Sure they are good.. but I've seen tons of artists who don't get the recognition they deserve.

I think I'll start hunting around for some people and featuring them in my journal

Or better yet make it a habit to visit 10 random deviants each day and leave them comments!

So I broke up with my boyfriend about a week ago, and we are still good friends and I care about him very much. I'm happy everything ended on a good note. Right now I'm trying to focus on me, which is why we couldn't date anymore, and I'm super pumped for all the stuff I get to do next semester. I'm starting to sew (my mother is a master) I'm using tutorials and info on threadbanger.com which is cool, and a while ago I made two sholder purses which rock XD

I've done some experimental art and things in my new sketch book I got at the end of last month, including this creey/cool blobish thing.. which has scared some people; definately my dark side comeing through in that. Once I get a new compy I'll scan stuffs and make all srts of awesome art.

Hopefully everything will work out for the best and I'll get excepted into college soon. I've decided I'm going to do an accelerated degree in general buisness and then go to a speciality for graphic desgn afterward. Or atleast, that's the basic plan.

I'm officially E&C of both the yearbook and the newspaper and I'm doing really well in Pre-Calc with the help of my bf ^_~ I'm also in AP Euro which decides to have its test the same day I have Pre-Calc tests which is evil >.<

I have been doing things like writing a sort story for my creative writing class which I might put up once I get my grade. And this week is Homecoming so I have been helping out, actually I was drafted, to paint the Senior float. This year's theme is Eagles in Hollywood and we got the film the Lion King so I've painted a sunset. which I will take a picture of tomorrow, it took me 2.5-3 hours to paint.. its pretty big.

I'm gonna be traveling by car to the state of Florida ^_^ *my birthplace* Which from where I am currently is a 24 hour drive if you drive straight through with no stops, and know where you're going. Unfortunately my sister (who is going back to UCF for her sophomore year) is driving so it will take longer and we will stop for the night, and I am going to look at colleges and won't get to spend much time at the beach.

I'm also upset that I don't have time to do the latest DA shirt design contest T____T I reaaaaaaaaally wanted to do it, it's my kind of thing.

So.... Anyway, I'll be back toward the end of the month.. I doubt I'll be on the net much, its a busy 2 weeks. If someone happens to get my kiriban I'll take care of it then.

I now love Kreacher, and Aunt Murial, they are great, the latter said X. looked an omelet, which I found funny, amongst other things she said. And I love Neville who finally gained courage and we all new he was going to be the herbology Prof. in the end.

I'm disappointed with the way Dumbly's character went out in the last books, he's not so whimsical as he was before. and he became somewhat of a pathetic jerk to me >.> AND I won't even touch on the subject of Snape, not even worth my time.

The worst/funniest part of the book would have to be the way Ron and *cant' spell her name* finally hooked up in a "Pirates 3 married in the middle of the battle scene, what a bunch of crazies" kind of way, instead they just kissed mind you.

There was some weird/odd stuff, but for anyone who grew up with it like I did I think will feel that same closure. So KUDOS to JK in a fabulous ending...... minus the epilogue ^_~

I have 2 comic pages sketched out, and I still working on the 2 page spread for the chapter one start page. Problem is.. I left all the stuff at TL after Saturday's performance. Opening night went awesome and so far ever night we've gotten standing ovations. This weekend is the last of it so if anyone is in Northern WI I highly suggest you come and see the show even if you don't like "The Sound of Music". One, it's nothing like the movie, and two I think we've done just a terrific job of it. After this week I'll be done and will have to wait till next year rolls around for the next show.

Well I'd better be going, the techie's called a practice tonight at 6:30 and I'm bringing my Nikon F with a brand new roll of film *4 pictures total taken on it*. So maybe once it's developed I'll have some awesome back stage perspective shots of the run through tonight if I'm lucky. I don't have a flash that I'll be using so I think it should be ok. Believe it or not.. a flash can really make you dizzy on stage. LATER!!

Secondly I NEED to study for my SATs on the 2nd.... and yes you can study for SATS by reading things including the dictionary and reviewing every math formula that you've ever learned.

Thirdly I wrote the greatest essay in the history of my social problems class and I also got a 114/116 on my Crime test. So yay for me.

Fourthly, THE YEARBOOK CAME OUT TODAY!! I got mine late the other night cause I helped move boxes. And I must say, it looks amazing. I believe I could be Editor and Chief next year.

And lastly I need to remember to change my schedule to include AP Euro and Espanol III....

There! My list of things to do... please ignore this really, just a way of me writing things down to remember them and such... *whistles*

It is a Christian school production that has taken place there since I went there when it was a Catholic school. The dancers are all the children who do not wear socks or shoes on stage. Each story is different; sometimes it is from a novel, or from a well known movie (the Lion King was performed two years ago I think, and it was amazing) and others times they write their own story (which usually makes no sense).

Either way... it's a Thursday and I get to spend it all with my boyfriend and doing something, but still nothing ^_^

Yesterday and today were tryouts for "The Sound of Music" produced by the Three Lakes Theater Company... Every summer my sisters, mother and grandmother go see the show. However this year I wanted to audition, but then I was sick all weekend lond and couldn't sing and never called the lady to make an appointment of sorts >.<

HOWEVER! So many people signed up so the auditions have carried over to Monday and Tuesday next week. AND I got the 4:40 slot on Tuesday! GO ME! I wasn't here to get the call (at choir practice actually) but my mom took a messege with the information.

This makes me VERY happy..... considering today was crap and I have a half day of school tomarrow and no one's really gonna be there cause our girls hockey team is going to state and lots of people are taking the fan bus. BUT we're getting alot of snow right now. On my way out of practice a step was at the same heigh as the snow so I almost fell down it XD

I'll be uploading a whole bunch of stuff that I've been meaning to at the end of this week... I have finals for the semester and then we have off friday becaouse of teacher inservice and the snowmobile derby ^_^ AND! IT ACTUALLY SNOWED! It's been terrible for weeks now, no snow.... we only had a decent amount for x-mas which was good.. but my mother says that according tot he farmer's almanac we won't be getting any till the begining of feb. Stuff to look forward to...

Oh yeah! passed my drivers test with only 11 pts off! *you have to get less than 25 to pass* And I even hit the curb! Considering I've never hit anything... but it was a weird road. You came up to a stop sign, then you had to turn at a tight 'V' like road and sort of back track *it's difficult to explain*... But I only hit the curb a little.. it's not like i went clear over it or anything.... >.<

So now I have to figure out how much a parking pass at the school is.... And I don't wanna give them cash beause they "lose it".... *mumbles about stupid stealing office people*

Maybe I can draw some cool stuff, I'm not feeling entirely lazy. Though yesterday I tried to paint a pencil drawing with watercolors.. I think I should've scaned and printed it off on thicker paper like I did before... so it's been pitched >.<
