So here's the story: my house is located on top of a mountain and we get murdered by lightning storms early in the year. Once it took out both of our computers, our phone, and our main TV all in one shot.
This time, though, it just fried our modem and the lines along with it. We and a few other people on our street were left without internet, and the cable company wanted us to pay to replace it. Cept the other people didn't want to bother, so if we wanted it back, we would have had to pay for the whole thing...which is an insane amount of money.
But recently that cable provider moved out of our area, and the replacement provider did it for free. ^___^ Because they rock.

- He's a human-esque character... he's semi-divine but nothing really special. His race is Egyptian.

- "...maybe I shouldn't have had that last pint of mead @_@;;"

4. Your character's favorite outfit would be?
- The same blue and white he always wears. XD *uncreative* He also likes to run around wearing the Pharaoh's crown...when he can get ahold of it.

5. When your character looks into a mirror, what's the first thing they would notice?
- "OMG A MIRROR. AWESOME! 8D *walks off with it*"

6. Does your character have the same tastes in food as you?
- Pretty much. XD We both love food and eat just about anything. I don't like junk food or fast food very much...but it doesn't exist in his world anyway. XD


7. How is your character similar to you?
- Hm...well, we both seem to have pretty good people skills and have an easy time making friends. And we both love food and animals...plus we both have two ferrets, a grey/white and a sable. XD


8. How is he/she different?
- Maany ways. I'd never steal anything...or kill anyone. ^_^; And I don't like alchahol. And I don't have divine power and if I died...I'd just die...as opposed to being brought back to life. I'm also not a manwhore like he is, and I'm definately nowhere near as arrogant. ^_^;


9. If your character could speak, would they have the same voice as you?
- I guess he probably would...though he'd be a lot louder.

10. If you were to suddenly become your character, what do you think would be the first thing you would do as them?
- Go randomly use my wierd divine powers just for fun..and then get my ass kicked by the Gods of Egypt for abusing said powers. XD;

11. Is there something about your character that you don't like how others think of them?
- Not really. o.O

12. What advantages does your character have over you?
- He's stronger and faster than I am, and he's a HELLUVA LOT richer. He's amazingly wealthy. XD; He's also shameless, though I dunno if that's a good thing. But there isn't very much that he fears doing or saying. Plus...he can't die until Anubis decides that he's no longer needed by the deities of Egypt.

13. What disadvantages?
- He often hates his life...whereas I'm almost never unhappy. He's also forced to serve the deities of Egypt, so it's hard for him to really have a life of his own... he ends up living for a really long time without aging, watching the many friends and loves he's known growl old and die while he remains the same.
Also, he's sometimes posessed by the evil deity Seth...since he needs a human host of sorts. That sucks. XD;

14. Do you have any secrets relating to your character that only you know?
- HE WANTS TO BE THE QUEEN OF EGYPT 8D *murder'd*

Well... a lot of people are listing their Christmas wishlist, but I don't really have anything to list. The only thing really I want for Christmas is to miraculously manage to finish all the gifts I want to give people... though I regret to say that many of them are definately going to be late. ;__; So I want to say I'm sorry in advance. I've been sick all this week and I have finals all next week... after that hopefully I can get most of them finished.

Yesterday was pretty crazy... when I woke up I felt awful, so I tried to take a nice hot shower... and I almost passed out. In the shower. XD; Luckily I didn't. Being found unconsious (not to mention NAKED and soaking wet) on the floor of a public shower is not on my list of life aspirations. Not even at the bottom. o.O;; I had a headache for most of the day and from about 9-12 pm I was REALLY sick. But I slept really well and I feel a bit better today. ^_^
I still can't believe I almost fainted though. o.O; That was scary.

I also wanted to say that you guys...are just...THE BEST. *hugs you all* I don't know what I'd do without you. Even the people I don't know very well, every comment you make or random message you send makes my life so much better. It's tough to find motivation or positive thoughts sometimes at college, especially now that finals are looming over my head and the stress is insane, but you guys always manage to make me smile. ^__^ So thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. I really appreciate you all, whether you know it or not.

And wow, I am so addicted to to websites right now. Sorry if my train of thought is random in this entry, I'm slightly out of it after the Anthropology reviews I just did. XD But anyway. The websites I'm addicted to are Subeta and GoPets.

Subeta is your typical Neopets-esque website, but AMAZINGLY better in every way. The forums aren't flooded with n00bs screaming for boyfriends/girlfriends/attention, commissions are not only allowed but ENCOURAGED as a way of making money, the pets and items are awesome and well-drawn, achieving the colors you want for those pets is extremely possible, and paying members can upload their own self-made avatar. Also, the website admins are REALLY friendly and you can often find even the site owner himself talking on the message boards, shoutbox, etc. He even participates in debates on the special debate forum. ^_^ It's a small community and the people there are extremely nice. Also, their art gallery judges by the sheer quality of art and gives out great prizes. I'm the user Sennen on that site if you want to contact me. ^_^

GoPets (gopetslive.com) is a wierd site. You download the game/program to your computer and your GoPet (either a cat or a dog) can walk around on your desktop and interact with you. What's even cooler is that it can travel to other desktops around the world, and other pets can travel to meet you as well. They'll just climb onto your screen and interact with your pet, and eat food, etc. It's awesome. ^_^ And you can name your pet whatever you want, and change it when you want. The designs are also extremely customized as far as color and markings go. Not exactly a site for everyone, but I think it's really cool. I'll probably stop playing after a while though. ^_^; If you decide to join, my name there is Hakachi.

I won the contest at Subeta's oekaki for drawing the battlescene (with this: [link] ) o.o;; It isn't that I'm not happy or anything, since I get a decent prize for winning...but they got permission from the site owner, Keith, to use it as the spoiler image for the release of the upcoming battle arena on Subeta. o.o;; That's....kinda scary. Maybe they won't give me direct credit. XD; That would be nice. Although maybe if they do give me credit it might get me some nice commissions from people.... I dunno. It just makes me kinda paranoid. >.>;;

In other news... I GET A VACATION STARTING TOMORROW. 8D I'm so happy to have some free time. Hopefully I can get some drawing/commissions done among other things. And I get to eat lots of GOOD food. You have no idea how much I've missed eating food that doesn't suck. ;_; And tomorrow I'll be old enough to legally drink, so I get to have wine for the first time at Thanksgiving dinner. XD Not that I really like wine...but it will be nice to be able to have it. I won't get drunk, though, I promise.

Also, during break a bunch of my friends and I are going to go see some of the awesome movies that are coming out: Harry Potter 4, The Lion The Witch and The Wardobe, RENT
<3, and possibly Chicken Little if we get the chance..but definately those first three. I can't wait for a nice break, especially after my teachers swamped me with work right before Thanksgiving. @_@

Well, everyone else was doing it. XD Soooo... I'm listing my my buddies underneath my journal from now on. I'll add/move people as I get the chance and learn their DA names. ^_^
The only real difference between the two groups is that meh loves are the people I know pretty well and get to talk to, and my friends are the ones I wish I knew better but I still love them to pieces. So...don't be offended if you're under friends, ne? I love you too. ^__^


and I spent from seven until midnight Saturday night with the Japanese Alliance group at our college - we had hosted a Haunted House based on The Ring and The Grudge on Friday and it was a HUGE success, so we had to celebrate. ^_^ We had all kinds of food, and then we decided to sit around and play REALLY oldschool video games like the original Super Mario and Mario Cart racing and Street Fighter II. And people were all crowded around the screen screaming like lunatics.

Have you ever heard a group of 20-something year old Japanese people scream about Mario? Neither have I. It was awesome. XD The teacher that I don't have for Japanese, Kenji, was playing (he's 23, I think) and he kept running into stuff and dying.
And then it was girls vs. guys in Street Fighter II, but there weren't enough girls to make it even, so Micro and I were on the girls' team. ^_^; And my teacher Ikuko kicked almost everyone's ass with the girl character Chun-li, which was awesome. And I realized that I REALLY suck at Mario Cart Racing, because I always run into stuff and I can't keep on the track. And Micro kept looking at the wrong screen/car thingy and ended up losing too. XD; And he kinda confused me too, and then we thought we won, but that was the other car on the lower screen.

01. I am absolutely terrified of centipedes, shrews, and anime girls with really big chests.
02. I occasionally narrate my own actions mentally without realizing it. Sometimes even out loud.
03. I’m the biggest clean freak you’ll ever meet. I hate being dirty. I hate touching things that are dirty. I carry around a container of hand sanitizer with me EVERYWHERE and I randomly clean stuff sometimes even though that‘s not my job. >.>;
04. Even though my persona and fursona can be complete manwhores, I’m actually not like that in real life. I’m just nice to people and then they assume that I’m flirting with them. Life is complicated. ^_^;
05. One year for Halloween I went as the White Power Ranger. Remember him? He was sexy.
06. I love strawberry yogurt, especially the kind with real strawberries in it.
07. I hold grudges passionately and for long periods of time, and I sometimes never get over a negative first-impression of someone. It’s a bad habit. ^_^;
08. Most “typical” American guys disgust me. I also hate football and Nascar.
