This has been an incredible week, I've never had so many favs and I've never had this many new watchers! <3 <3 <3

Soooo when looking around the store I instantly found myself attracted to the reptile section and low and behold, they have my dream pet of an iguana. XD I've been doing some research and though it's doable, a pet Iguana this year might be out of my "best interest".

I know that dA holds many reptile fans so I wanted to know your ideas of what I should get!

Things you should know:

-I can only hold a 10 gallon tank in the room.
- My roomate is scared to death of bugs. "but has agreed to let me feed them to the lizard"
- The reptile should be realitivly calm, Anoles are in consideration BUT i'm scared to death that an anole will dart out of the room.
- I'd prefer a reptile that I can handle often.
- I am a college student so anything that takes a TON of attention is a little bit out of my interest.
- Something like a Tokay Gecko is out of the question. I need to make sure that if I'm gone, my roomate can safely handle the reptile. I don't need to come home and find her covered in bandages. x3

Well I want to rant a bit and it's rather because of something someone sent me in response to a "Thank you for favoriting my art" comment.


First and forthmost -

I will say thank you to everyone who favorites my art! I'm not doing it just because most people do, I do it because I actually appreciate it! When you fav my art, it allows other artist to see it and it means that I have potential to grow a larger "watcher" base which means that as an artist, I have people to critique my work and input their 2 cents on my work! I APPRECIATE THAT! "I apologize if you're the person who sent me the, ""Please don't thank me for favoriting your art"", that just bugged me pretty badly."

Second -

I'm rather sick of the bitching. Everyone started complaining about "exclusive species" so then the artists put up "Adoptables" so that everyone could get in on their work. Well guess what? Everyone is now complaining about "Adoptables". Can you guys get anymore complaining then that? "Oh geeze, hmmm, I think I'll bitch about free art from an artist after I bitched about the fact that I couldn't get that artists art"

Third -

As an artist that cares about her watchers, friends, and fans; I swear to you that I will answer all your comments not just because it's right; but because I want to make you all feel important to me individually because in reality, you are! An artist is nothing without their watchers, friends, and fans! So drop me a note, send me a comment! I will always find time to answer them all, even if it's just you saying "Nice work" or "<3".

Fourth -

I know a few of the people that will read this are just all into the drama right now and will probably note me or comment saying something along the lines of "If you can't handle it, why are you on dA?". dA used to be a community dedicated to improving and showing your art. It wasn't about who can bitch the most and who can cause the most drama. As someone who is here to show off their art, I will stand up and address things that this site just doesn't need. I was close to leaving but then I thought, why should they push me out of doing something I love? Why should I leave a place that still has people who are willing to critique a work and want to actually speak to the artist off hand? Why should I let people making life awful for others tell me to leave someplace just because they don't like the fact that I'm saying something about their crap? That's right folks, I'm not going to! [b]I'm standing up for what I believe in so if you're here to start crap on dA, get the hell off and go to 4chan or something. [/b]

I'll be gone this Thursday-Sunday because I'll be at Comic-con in Rosemont Illinois. So I apologize if I miss your stuff.

With how many people I watch I know I don't comment much, but I promise you I look at every single piece of art that pops up in my gallery and I even take the time to randomly go through my watchers art. "All 80 something of yours"

You know, if you guys are ever super proud of something you drew, I'd love to see it! You can always post on my page, HEY ZUKI! CHECK THIS OUT! or however you phrase your sentances.

I love my watchers, even though none of you read these things. If you noticed in the Vega page, in the middle of one of the sentaces there was a "If you type the word Zuzu in your comment I'll draw you a free picture of one of your characters." I might even still accept anyone who posts it now.

Zuki's response to the exclusive species things.

I usually don't get involved in all the drama dA has, "I miss the old days when dA was about art and the community, not drama", but the exclusive species things has really gotten to me.

I agree with exclusive species when
- the artist takes time and puts a lot of thought and even love into their species. These usually are but are not limited to artists that put a story with them. "even without a story an exclusive species can have a lot of heart to it". I have 2 exclusive species and one of them is so exclusive that I don't even have them on dA and they may never be on dA "the Terradari". and the other one all I ask is that you ask me first. I screen the artists because only want an artist who will care about their character instead of one who just wants it because they can. For those people who just take one and draw it because they can, to me it's the same as killing that specific one. I've put so much into them, they mean something to me. When it's that much, I absolutely 100% agree with the artists request for them to be private or "exclusive".

I disagree with exclusive species when
- An artist is making the exclusive species for the wrong reason. Such examples are: "I want to seem popular so I'm copying artists like " or "I'm doing this to piss people off" basically, when they do without a form of love backing the species up. That is when I absolutely disagree because you're just being an ass to do as such.

I miss the old dA where an artist was judged on talent, not by pageviews or how many watchers they have. Where artists were thrilled to have a comment that just said "Thank you" or "that's really awesome". First of, VEGAS ARE ALIENS, not dragons. Even though they have a dragon like form, they're really aliens.

They come from an unknown planet and a meteroite containing DNA from the Vega's home planet landed on an Earth Island.

If you've read my picture comments that island is the island of Legendary. Scientist used to study the creatures due to the fact they evolved from the DNA. Unfortuently the Scientists took some of the DNA from the Meteorite and combined it with Terradari DNA to create G.A.T.U but if you read G.A.T.U's description, G.A.T.U slaughtered them all in order to satisfy a protien deficency.

Zukuda is a Vega, but not just an ordinary Vega; she is their God/dess representation of balance. To explain her shapeshifting powers you must know that Vegas have an indepth control of their body to the point of cellular control. They can harden or soften their cells to accomodate a form such as their skinny legs. Now Vegas can't shapeshift but their cellular control helps support their odd anatomy. Zukuda being a God/dess, her shapeshifting powers come from that ability to control cells, except on a grand scale.

Vegas glow because on their planet it is very dark. Life is supported by an element that glows and any light on the planet is either from the Ruins, "which have the element used as decor" or the various species of alien that glow as well. The Vegas and the other aliens have their ability to glow through a chemical reaction in their skin caused by the pigment that makes up their markings. Their celluar control allows them to have the pigment containing cells secrete a micro fluid that reacts with the pigment itself giving off an intense but non heat creating glow.

Even though I didn't draw them, "The New Zukuda will show this off", they have large wings. Their planet has many bogs with deep trenches, every now and then a Vega will come to a point where they can't walk through something and they'll need to fly. THEY CANNOT SWIM. Their odd anatomy makes it impossible to swim. It's equivalent to seeing a giraffe swim.

Zukuda is tied to anything of the Vegas so she's able to flow easily between earth and the Vega's home planet. The Meteorite on Earth gives her passageway to our planet.

Highly Adorned Vegas do not exsist except if they are a God. Regular Vegas are very dark in color to help camoflauge them for hunting. Every now and then a genetic mistake will happen and you'll have a light Vega, but they usually do not last long. Vegas are not the top species on the planet and are usually hunted by the "Abyss" monster.

The "Abyss" monster refers to my Featured dA piece. I'm making him a preditory species on my planet. He's more commonly a lizard type species and there aren't many of them. They're called Lokara and they have a larval stage, "similar to a Gecko" where they're a common food for young Vegas and other species. Their mass consumption makes it rare for them to get older.

The Sizaku "a paracite type creature" also keeps the Abyss monster species low and other species. They're similar to a mosquito except they attack babies. I mean if an alien is pregnate and they're found by the Sizaku, the Sizaku use their long needle like jaw to reach into the womb and infect the infant. Same goes for if they find an egg. They inject a Paracitic DNA which mutates the infant so that it carries the traits of the Sizaku. Some species invite the Sizaku because the mutation makes for a stronger offspring and their DNA has incorporated the ability to still be fertile, "only one species called the Dragonas can do this". Otherwise the infected creature is infertile. If you've read this far write the word Zuzu in your comment and you'll get a free drawing of your character. Limited to the first 3 people. What happends is that the creature lives its life similar to an Autistic human "the Dragonas also have overcome this side effect", they both have the same psychological effect, when the creature dies, "either hunted or natural", the death triggers the release of the dormant Sizaku larvae which in turn feast on the dead carcus until they become full Sizakus.

The Dragonas - I'm holding off on their release due to the fact I feel that they look too similar to 's Amsks or Avians. Even though I made this species before I ever found , I don't want to go through the crap of YOU STOLE HER DESIGN....

I'm completely revamping Zukuda and G.A.T.U. - Rain will be kept the same and Divine will be going through some minor alterations. Ravi will be slightly altered and the Terradari species is still under works.

I've had an idea for Zukuda's and G.A.T.U.'s alien family species for awhile now and I feel it's time to really kick them into gear. They have been sketched and I feel it's time to work them into my species list.

It's always bothered me that I held that Zukuda contest and even though the ideas were great, I've never felt satisfied that she was really mine; so now she will be done in the style of the Vega species as their God representation of balance.

As for my old characters,

Shostu, Severa, Razorin, Cotton, Bellz, Everette and The Yupari's including the Mushi family will be going away to the locked vault of my memory not to be drawn for quite a while. "Unless I really feel I must" Daze is still under consideration.

I hope to have the new Zukuda up and ready soon. <3 I really think this will be the best for me. <3

I'm working a desk job now hiring people for my mothers work. I work from 8-5 so I don't have a lot of time for art right now.

On Thursday I pick up Ono from , he's my new kitten I'm adopting! The idea is that over the summer I'll take care of him and then when I go off to college Ono will keep my mom company.

Speaking of leaving, I'm moving on the 20th. My mom found a larger place for a good price and she took it. For anyone who knows me in real life, I'm basically moving close to where I lived before Lake Zurich.

I may also be going on a roadtrip this summer with Frank. If so, I'll be gone for about a week. I'll let everyone know before I leave. The idea right now is that we'll drive down to Florida but I'm also going to try and see if we can stop in Texas. XD

Mmmm, I'm eating a bunch of Japanese snacks right now so I'm going to nom nom them before I drool all over my computer.

After burning a few bucks here and there I'm back from Vegas. It was fun but I'm happy to be home with my friends. It's just not the same when a bunch of inside jokes come up and you don't have anyone to reminece"sp" with about them.

It's true, Zukuda has her first boyfriend at 18. This Saturday will be our 2 week mark dating and lol, I met him at ACEN. He was one of my roomates. Before you ask lol no I didn't know my roomates. What happened is that my friend Ken bought the 2 largest rooms the hotel could offer and his friends paid him 20 dollars a night to stay there. So we all knew Ken but not eachother. 83 Anyways, I adore him and I think we'll be together for a long time. I'm dying his hair blue on Friday. XD

Randomly, his persona is an angel and my fursona is a dragon. Can an Angel and a Dragon be together?

Anyways, I graduate high school in like 1 1/2 weeks and then I'm off on vacation. I'm being bombarded with projects and homework so I've been busy. Hopefully on Monday I can get some of my digital work done and actually upload it. I owe a ton of you guys art!

Saturday: I'll be a gijinka of Elecmon so look for a girl with a blue with and red rabbit like ears. For the pokemon shoot I'm changing into a gijinka of totodile but after will change back to elecmon.

Sunday: I'll be gijinka totodile for the entire day "I think".

Anyways, my family is at war again and I don't know what's going to happen. My mother said we'd talk about it on Tuesday.

My father is getting a bit more psychotic everyday and it's been hell, things that should be simple are backfiring and he's slowly turning into that person that believes everyone is out to get him.

He got fired "his fault", he says it's not. My mother works 12 hours a day and he screams that she doesn't do anything around the house. I do anything and apparently everything I do reflects my school work and therefore I fail at life. He starts picking on every little thing I do and then complains how I think he's an ass. He then starts screaming at me for random crap, like oh your hair is too blonde, there's a paper on the floor and therefore your room is a mess - your responsibility is zero and you're going to fail in college therefore I'm not going to pay a cent for your college; he then afterwards can't figure out for his life why I don't want to give him a hug.

He screams at my mother and then flees to Indiana because he's determined that she hates him.

It's just hell right now and between that, schoolwork, and being grounded I'm behind in the things I owe to people on Deviantart.

I'll give you a hint, it's spring break and my mother is having me hide out at friends houses, if I'm not at a friends house then I'm supposed to see her at work.

I'll be back when I can.

I've searched through the site again and it does seem that my art was REMOVED! Note that a lot of the images didn't load but where my image was, there now isn't. So unless someone notes me or comments with nope, it's still there; the site seems to be in cooperation.

Luckily I had a spare tank and she's living in there. So yeah, Paddle Tailed Newts/Salamanders shouldn't be put with anything.

Here's the gest of the new rules:

A character may be traced or copied by a lesser artist as long as the artist changes at least one thing like color or markings and then claimed as that artists "new" original character. This has been protected as THEY'RE JUST LEARNING!

Artists may steal any of your crap without issue as long as it's placed in the scrap section or fan art section.

A better artist then yourself may steal your characters without any issue.

As you've probably noticed, there is a lot of controversy about the new tracing/copying policy here at Deviantart.
I've devised a way that may better serve the policy and may work as a better term to decide if artwork is stolen or if an artist has clearly created something new. This proposal sets standards in accordance of what has already been previously stated in your policy.

Zukuda’s Proposal:

1: PROVING STEALING: Deviantart should create a new server that creates an archive of all the artwork posted on dA. The artwork there should be held for 6 years so that when an artist is accused of stealing the archive may be reference to prove guilty or innocent. The archive should be archived by artist so that easy reference is enabled by dA staff and possible that specific artist.
This server will be funded by dA subscriptions, there are million subscriptions and therefore there should be plenty of money to support such an achieve.

2: ON TRACING: Tracing should only be allowed on popular material such as a popular TV character or comic. This does allow artists to grow and the artwork is well known. If artist claims the stolen character as their own, the punishment should be much more harsh. Original characters on dA should not be allowed by ANY reason unless SPECIFIC written permission is obtained. Artists should then have a screen shot of that written permission in case one is accused with stealing.

3: ON STEALING: Slight alterations on a character must not be allowed. This is a direct violation of protecting artwork. The archive should be referenced in case of this accusal. If a piece of artwork looks at least 90% like the original piece then the artwork should be removed and there should be a 1 year watch by staff to ensure that art is no longer stolen.
ON STEALING A): 90% determination should be made by staff, the original artist, and a poll of at least 20 dA artists. Free staff judges may be appointed to uphold this process.
ON STEALING B): If an artist is proven to have stolen more than once, then punishment should be strict and harsh with the possible ban for life on the profile. That email and IP address should be monitored so that the user doesn't make a new profile.

4: FAN ART: Fan art may be allowed of a dA members character as long as the artist has written permission or it's a gift. If art is posted of another members character then on the art there should be the original owners dA name along with a link to the original owners page in the comment box.

Yeah well Fuck. Never believe things are perfect, it's always a preparation for something tragic to happen. Example, I thought things were perfect and I eased into it, a few minutes later my best friend got hit by a car. Next time I thought things were perfect and I eased in to enjoy it, my other friend commited suicde. Again today, I was thinking about how things right now were too perfect and I started thinking what could happen. Turns out I was right, my mother warned me tonight that we may be moving out of the house without telling my father. My father has been a complete ass for the past 2 years and is only getting worse by refusing couples therapy and instead turning to alcoholism. If we do decide to move out without telling him, then things are going to go to hell and the worst shit that can happen will happen. This has happened before, last time this happened to my mother and myself we ended up moving out with police protection and a court order to get our things back followed by 3 years of running. Now this isn't nearly as bad as that but very similar. I'm all too familiar of what will happen.
On top of this my mother broke her leg, she's thinking we'll move out once she gets a cast that allows her to walk which hopefully, will be on wednesday. She's also blaming herself to be a bad role-model and blaming herself to be the reason why I don't date. Ahh things are just so incredble fucked up right now. I'm sorry if I suddenly disappear, it'll either mean that my father cut my internet due to this or we're in the middle of moving.
So here's the gist of why we're doing this. My father started commiting financial suicide and started to keep to himself. He started to make things for my mother and I misrable as he would find any reason to scream down our throats and throw a fit. He then started to not tell us anything and when we would show concern or ask a question WWIII would break out. On my 18th birthday he gave up on me and wouldn't even give me a hug or say Happy Birthday. He bought my mother a christmas present because the people who love my mother at work basically threatened him that if they didn't they'd fire him. So yeah, our christmas was a bribe. For those who read my past journals, he didn't get me a present. My mother got me my presents.
For those who know me at school, my mother would make sure that I would still go to Stevenson, we'd move into a condo near the school so don't fret about me moving; I'll still see you all. For those who have my cell number, depending how things go then I might loose my phone for a while, I'll post a new journal when I get things figured out.
Those who I owe art too, I'll do my best to get things done; but please understand if I don't get it done in time.
